Hadith 204
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الصَّمَدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْوَارِثِ ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِ ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَحَثَّ عَلَيْهِ ، فَقَالَ : رَجُلٌ عِنْدِي كَذَا وَكَذَا ، قَالَ : فَمَا بَقِيَ فِي الْمَجْلِسِ رَجُلٌ إِلَّا تَصَدَّقَ عَلَيْهِ بِمَا قَلَّ أَوْ كَثُرَ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنِ اسْتَنَّ خَيْرًا فَاسْتُنَّ بِهِ كَانَ لَهُ أَجْرُهُ كَامِلًا ، وَمِنْ أُجُورِ مَنِ اسْتَنَّ بِهِ ، وَلَا يَنْقُصُ مِنْ أُجُورِهِمْ شَيْئًا ، وَمَنِ اسْتَنَّ سُنَّةً سَيِّئَةً فَاسْتُنَّ بِهِ فَعَلَيْهِ وِزْرُهُ كَامِلًا ، وَمِنْ أَوْزَارِ الَّذِينَ اسْتَنَّ بِهِ ، وَلَا يَنْقُصُ مِنْ أَوْزَارِهِمْ شَيْئًا " .
´It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said:` "A man came to the Prophet, who encouraged the people to give charity to him. A man said: 'I have such and such,' and there was no one left in that gathering who did not give him something in charity, to a greater or lesser extent. The Messenger of Allah said: 'Whoever initiates a good practice that is followed, he will receive a perfect reward for that, and a reward equivalent to that of those who follow it, without that detracting from their reward in the slightest. And whoever introduces a bad practice that is followed, he will receive the complete burden of sin for that, and a burden of sin equivalent to that of those who follow it without that detracting from their burden in the slightest.'"
Hadith 693
حَدَّثَنَا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ مُوسَى اللَّيْثِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ أَبِي هِنْدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، قَالَ : صَلَّى بِنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَاةَ الْمَغْرِبِ ، ثُمَّ لَمْ يَخْرُجْ حَتَّى ذَهَبَ شَطْرُ اللَّيْلِ ، فَخَرَجَ فَصَلَّى بِهِمْ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : " إِنَّ النَّاسَ قَدْ صَلَّوْا وَنَامُوا ، وَأَنْتُمْ لَمْ تَزَالُوا فِي صَلَاةٍ مَا انْتَظَرْتُمُ الصَّلَاةَ ، وَلَوْلَا الضَّعِيفُ وَالسَّقِيمُ ، أَحْبَبْتُ أَنْ أُؤَخِّرَ هَذِهِ الصَّلَاةَ إِلَى شَطْرِ اللَّيْلِ " .
´It was narrated that Abu Sa'eed said:` "The Messenger of Allah led us for the Maghrib prayer. Then he did not come out until half the night had passed. Then he came out and led them in prayer, then he said: "The people have prayed and gone to sleep, but you are still in a state of prayer so long as you are waiting for the (next) prayer. Were it not for the weak and the sick, I wanted to delay this prayer until the middle of the night.'"
Hadith 934
حَدَّثَنَا أَزْهَرُ بْنُ مَرْوَانَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا وُضِعَ الْعَشَاءُ وَأُقِيمَتِ الصَّلَاةُ فَابْدَءُوا بِالْعَشَاءِ " ، قَالَ : فَتَعَشَّى ابْنُ عُمَرَ لَيْلَةً وَهُوَ يَسْمَعُ الْإِقَامَةَ .
´It was narrated from Nafi’ that Ibn ‘Umar said:` “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: ‘If food is served and the Iqamah for prayer is given, then start with the food.” He said: "Ibn 'Umar ate dinner one night while he could hear the Iqamah."
Hadith 1260
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " صَلَّى بِأَصْحَابِهِ صَلَاةَ الْخَوْفِ ، فَرَكَعَ بِهِمْ جَمِيعًا ، ثُمَّ سَجَدَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَالصَّفُّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُ وَالْآخَرُونَ قِيَامٌ حَتَّى إِذَا نَهَضَ ، سَجَدَ أُولَئِكَ بِأَنْفُسِهِمْ سَجْدَتَيْنِ ، ثُمَّ تَأَخَّرَ الصَّفُّ الْمُقَدَّمُ حَتَّى قَامُوا مُقَامَ أُولَئِكَ ، وَتَخَلَّلَ أُولَئِكَ حَتَّى قَامُوا مُقَامَ الصَّفِّ الْمُقَدَّمِ ، فَرَكَعَ بِهِمُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ جَمِيعًا ، ثُمَّ سَجَدَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَالصَّفُّ الَّذِي يَلُونَهُ ، فَلَمَّا رَفَعُوا رُءُوسَهُمْ سَجَدَ أُولَئِكَ سَجْدَتَيْنِ ، فَكُلُّهُمْ قَدْ رَكَعَ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَسَجَدَت طَائِفَةٌ بِأَنْفُسِهِمْ سَجْدَتَيْنِ ، وَكَانَ الْعَدُوُّ مِمَّا يَلِي الْقِبْلَةَ " .
It was narrated from Jabir bin ‘Abdullah that the Prophet (ﷺ) led his Companions in the fear prayer. He led them all in bowing, then the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and the row nearest him prostrated, and the others stood up, then when he stood up, they prostrated twice by themselves. Then the front row moved back and took their place, and they moved forward until they formed the front row. Then the Prophet (ﷺ) led them all in bowing, then the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and the row nearest to him prostrated, and when they raised their heads, the others prostrated twice. So all of them bowed with the Prophet (ﷺ) and some of them prostrated by themselves, and the enemy was in the direction of the Qiblah.
Hadith 1371
حَدَّثَنَا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ مُوسَى اللَّيْثِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ صُهَيْبٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ دَخَلَ الْمَسْجِدَ ، فَرَأَى حَبْلًا مَمْدُودًا بَيْنَ سَارِيَتَيْنِ ، فَقَالَ : " مَا هَذَا الْحَبْلُ ؟ " ، قَالُوا لِزَيْنَبَ : تُصَلِّي فِيهِ ، فَإِذَا فَتَرَتْ تَعَلَّقَتْ بِهِ ، فَقَالَ : " حُلُّوهُ حُلُّوهُ لِيُصَلِّ أَحَدُكُمْ نَشَاطَهُ ، فَإِذَا فَتَرَ فَلْيَقْعُدْ " .
´It was narrated from Anas bin Malik that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) entered the mosque and saw a rope tied between two pillars. He said, “What is this rope?” They said:` “It belongs to Zainab. She prays here and when she gets tired she holds on to it.” He said: “Untie it, untie it; let any one of you pray when he has energy, if he gets tired let him sit down.”
Hadith 1560
حَدَّثَنَا أَزْهَرُ بْنُ مَرْوَانَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ ، عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ هِلَالٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي الدَّهْمَاءِ ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عَامِرٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " احْفِرُوا ، وَأَوْسِعُوا ، وَأَحْسِنُوا " .
´It was narrated from Hisham bin ‘Amir that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` “Dig the grave deep, make it spacious and prepare it well.”
Hadith 1562
حَدَّثَنَا أَزْهَرُ بْنُ مَرْوَانَ ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، قَالَ : " نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ تَقْصِيصِ الْقُبُورِ " .
´It was narrated that Jabir said:` “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) forbade plastering over graves.”
Hadith 1575
حَدَّثَنَا أَزْهَرُ بْنُ مَرْوَانَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جُحَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : " لَعَنَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ زُوَّارَاتِ الْقُبُورِ " .
´It was narrated that Ibn ‘Abbas said:` “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) cursed women who visit graves.”
Hadith 1605
حَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ حَمَّادٍ الْمَعْنِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ صُهَيْبٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مَا مِنْ مُسْلِمَيْنِ يُتَوَفَّى لَهُمَا ثَلَاثَةٌ مِنَ الْوَلَدِ لَمْ يَبْلُغُوا الْحِنْثَ إِلَّا أَدْخَلَهُمُ اللَّهُ الْجَنَّةَ بِفَضْلِ رَحْمَةِ اللَّهِ إِيَّاهُمْ " .
´It was narrated from Anas bin Malik that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:` “There are no two Muslims (mother and father), three of whose children die before reaching the age of puberty, but Allah will admit them to Paradise by virtue of His mercy towards them.”
Hadith 1959
حَدَّثَنَا أَزْهَرُ بْنُ مَرْوَانَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَاحِدِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَقِيلٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا تَزَوَّجَ الْعَبْدُ بِغَيْرِ إِذْنِ سَيِّدِهِ كَانَ عَاهِرًا " .
´It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar:` that the Messenger of Allah said : "If a slave gets married without his master's permission, he is a fornicator."
Hadith 2105
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ حَلَفَ وَاسْتَثْنَى إِنْ شَاءَ رَجَعَ ، وَإِنْ شَاءَ تَرَكَ غَيْرُ حَانِثٍ " .
´It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` "Whoever swears an oath and says In sha' Allah, if he wishes he may go ahead and if he wishes he may not, without having broken his oath."
Hadith 2319
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الصَّمَدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْوَارِثِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ أَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، حَدَّثَنِي الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ ذَكْوَانَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ يَعْمَرَ ، أَنَّ أَبَا الْأَسْوَدِ الدِّيلِيّ حَدَّثَهُ ، عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " مَنِ ادَّعَى مَا لَيْسَ لَهُ فَلَيْسَ مِنَّا وَلْيَتَبَوَّأْ مَقْعَدَهُ مِنَ النَّارِ " .
´It was narrated from Abu Dharr that he heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say:` “Whoever claims something that does not belong to him; he is not one of us, so let him take his place in Hell.”
Hadith 2563
حَدَّثَنَا أَزْهَرُ بْنُ مَرْوَانَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَاحِدِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَقِيلٍ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ أَخْوَفَ مَا أَخَافُ عَلَى أُمَّتِي عَمَلُ قَوْمِ لُوطٍ " .
´It was narrated from Jabir bin`Abdullah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` “The thing that I most fear for my nation is the action of the people of Lut.”
Hadith 3154
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ الْحَذَّاءِ ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي زَيْدٍ ، قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَقَالَ غَيْرُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ بُجْدَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي زَيْدٍ ، ح وحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى أَبُو مُوسَى ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَارِثِ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ الْحَذَّاءِ ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ بُجْدَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي زَيْدٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ ، قَالَ : مَرَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِدَارٍ مِنْ دُورِ الْأَنْصَارِ فَوَجَدَ رِيحَ قُتَارٍ ، فَقَالَ : " مَنْ هَذَا الَّذِي ذَبَحَ ؟ " ، فَخَرَجَ إِلَيْهِ رَجُلٌ مِنَّا ، فَقَالَ : أَنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، ذَبَحْتُ قَبْلَ أَنْ أُصَلِّيَ ، لِأُطْعِمَ أَهْلِي وَجِيرَانِي ، فَأَمَرَهُ أَنْ يُعِيدَ ، فَقَالَ : لَا وَاللَّهِ الَّذِي لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ، مَا عِنْدِي إِلَّا جَذَعٌ أَوْ حَمَلٌ مِنَ الضَّأْنِ ، قَالَ : " اذْبَحْهَا وَلَنْ تُجْزِئَ جَذَعَةٌ عَنْ أَحَدٍ بَعْدَكَ " .
´It was narrated that Abu Zaid Al-Ansari said:` “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) passed by one of the houses of the Ansar and noticed the smell of a cooking pot. He said: ‘Who is this who has slaughtered?’ A man from among us came out and said: ‘It is me, O Messenger of Allah, I slaughtered before the prayer so that I could feed my family and neighbors.’ He commanded him to repeat it. He said: ‘No, by the One besides Whom there is none worthy of worship, I do not have anything but a one-year-old sheep or a lamb.’ He (ﷺ) said: ‘Sacrifice it, but a one-year-old sheep will not do for anyone after you.’”
Hadith 3420
حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ هِلَالٍ الصَّوَّافُ , حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ , عَنْ أَيُّوبَ , عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ , عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قَالَ : نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , " عَنِ الشُّرْبِ مِنْ فِي السِّقَاءِ " .
´It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said:` “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) forbade drinking (directly) from the mouth of a water skin.”
Hadith 3523
حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ هِلَالٍ الصَّوَّافُ , حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ , عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ صُهَيْبٍ , عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ , عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ , أَنَّ جِبْرَائِيلَ أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , فَقَالَ : يَا مُحَمَّدُ , اشْتَكَيْتَ ؟ قَالَ : " نَعَمْ " , قَالَ : " بِسْمِ اللَّهِ أَرْقِيكَ مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ يُؤْذِيكَ , مِنْ شَرِّ كُلِّ نَفْسٍ أَوْ عَيْنٍ أَوْ حَاسِدٍ , اللَّهُ يَشْفِيكَ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ أَرْقِيكَ " .
´It was narrated from Abu Sa’eed that Jibra’il came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and said:` “O Muhammad, you are ill. He said: ‘Yes.’ He said: Bismillahi arqika, min kulli shay’in yu’dhika, min sharri kulli nafsin aw ‘aynin aw hasidin. Allahu yashfika, bismillahi arqika (In the Name of Allah I perform Ruqyah for you, from everything that is harming you, from the evil of every soul or envious eye, may Allah heal you. In the Name of Allah I perform Ruqyah for you).
Hadith 3583
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ , حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ , حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ , حَدَّثَنَا حَبِيبٌ الْمُعَلِّمُ , عَنْ أَبِي الْمُهَزِّمِ , عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , عَنْ عَائِشَةَ , أَنَّ ّالنَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , قَالَ فِي ذُيُولِ النِّسَاءِ : " شِبْرًا " , فَقَالَتْ : عَائِشَةُ : إِذًا تَخْرُجَ سُوقُهُنَّ , قَالَ : " فَذِرَاعٌ " .
´It was narrated from ‘Aishah that the Prophet (ﷺ) said, concerning how long a woman’s hem should hang down:` “A hand span.” ‘Aishah said: “This may show her calves.” He said: “Then a forearm’s length.”
Hadith 3916
حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ هِلَالٍ الصَّوَّافُ , حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ , عَنْ أَيُّوبَ , عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ , عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ , قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ تَحَلَّمَ حُلُمًا كَاذِبًا , كُلِّفَ أَنْ يَعْقِدَ بَيْنَ شَعِيرَتَيْنِ , وَيُعَذَّبُ عَلَى ذَلِكَ " .
´It was narrated from Ibn ‘Abbas that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` “Whoever tells of a false dream, will be ordered (on the Day of Resurrection) to tie two grains of barley together, and he will be punished for that.”
Hadith 3948
حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ هِلَالٍ الصَّوَّافُ , حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ , حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ , عَنْ غَيْلَانَ بْنِ جَرِيرٍ , عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ رِيَاحٍ , عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ قَاتَلَ تَحْتَ رَايَةٍ عِمِّيَّةٍ , يَدْعُو إِلَى عَصَبِيَّةٍ , أَوْ يَغْضَبُ لِعَصَبِيَّةٍ , فَقِتْلَتُهُ جَاهِلِيَّةٌ " .
´It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` “Whoever fights under a banner of folly, supporting tribalism, or getting angry for the sake of tribalism, he dies in a state of ignorance.”
Hadith 3961
حَدَّثَنَا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ مُوسَى اللَّيْثِيُّ , حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ , حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جُحَادَةَ , عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ ثَرْوَانَ , عَنْ هُزَيْلِ بْنِ شُرَحْبِيلَ , عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى الْأَشْعَرِيِّ , قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ بَيْنَ يَدَيِ السَّاعَةِ فِتَنًا كَقِطَعِ اللَّيْلِ الْمُظْلِمِ , يُصْبِحُ الرَّجُلُ فِيهَا مُؤْمِنًا , وَيُمْسِي كَافِرًا , وَيُمْسِي مُؤْمِنًا , وَيُصْبِحُ كَافِرًا , الْقَاعِدُ فِيهَا خَيْرٌ مِنَ الْقَائِمِ , وَالْقَائِمُ فِيهَا خَيْرٌ مِنَ الْمَاشِي , وَالْمَاشِي فِيهَا خَيْرٌ مِنَ السَّاعِي , فَكَسِّرُوا قِسِيَّكُمْ , وَقَطِّعُوا أَوْتَارَكُمْ , وَاضْرِبُوا بِسُيُوفِكُمُ الْحِجَارَةَ , فَإِنْ دُخِلَ عَلَى أَحَدٍ مِنْكُمْ فَلْيَكُنْ كَخَيْرِ ابْنَيْ آدَمَ " .
´It was narrated from Abu Musa Al-Ash’ari that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` “Before the Hour comes, there will be tribulation like pieces of black night, when a man will wake up as a believer but be a disbeliever by evening, or he will be a believer in the evening but will be a disbeliever by morning. And the one who is sitting will be better than the one who is standing, and the one who is standing will be better than the one who is walking, and the one who is walking will be better than the one who is running. So break your bows, cut their strings and strike your swords against rocks, and if anyone enters upon anyone of you, let him be like the better of the two sons of Adam. (i.e. the one killed, not the killer).”
Hadith 3998
حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ هِلَالٍ الصَّوَّافُ , حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ , عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ التَّيْمِيِّ . ح وحَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ رَافِعٍ , حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ , عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ التَّيْمِيِّ , عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ النَّهْدِيِّ , عَنْ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ , قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَا أَدَعُ بَعْدِي فِتْنَةً أَضَرَّ عَلَى الرِّجَالِ , مِنَ النِّسَاءِ " .
´It was narrated from Usamah bin Zaid that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` “I am not leaving behind me any tribulation that is more harmful to men than women.”
Hadith 4265
حَدَّثَنَا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ مُوسَى , حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ , حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ صُهَيْبٍ , عَنْ أَنَسٍ , قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا يَتَمَنَّى أَحَدُكُمُ الْمَوْتَ لِضُرٍّ نَزَلَ بِهِ , فَإِنْ كَانَ لَا بُدَّ مُتَمَنِّيًا الْمَوْتَ فَلْيَقُلْ : اللَّهُمَّ أَحْيِنِي مَا كَانَتِ الْحَيَاةُ خَيْرًا لِي , وَتَوَفَّنِي إِذَا كَانَتِ الْوَفَاةُ خَيْرًا لِي " .
´4265 It was narrated from Anas that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` “None of you should wish for death because of some harm that befalls him. If he must wish for death, let him say: ‘O Allah, keep me alive so long as living is good for me and cause me to die when death is good for me.’”
