Hadith 747
أَخْبَرَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الدُّورِيُّ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا حَيْوَةُ بْنُ شُرَيْحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْأَسْوَدِ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا ، قالت : سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي غَزْوَةِ تَبُوكَ عَنْ سُتْرَةِ الْمُصَلِّي ، فَقَالَ : " مِثْلُ مُؤْخِرَةِ الرَّحْلِ " .
´It was narrated that Aisha(ra) said:` "The messenger of Allah(ﷺ) was asked during the campaign of Tabuk about the Sutra of one who is praying. He said: "Something as high as the back of a camel saddle."
Hadith 989
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ الْمُقْرِئُ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا حَيْوَةُ ، وَذَكَرَ آخَرَ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ رَبِيعَةَ ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ هُرْمُزَ حَدَّثَهُ ، أَنَّ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَهُ ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُتْبَةَ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ حَدَّثَهُ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " قَرَأَ فِي صَلَاةِ الْمَغْرِبِ بِ حم ، الدُّخَانِ " .
´Mu'awiyah bin Abdullah bin Ja'far narrated that Abdullah bin 'Utbah bin Mas'ud told him that:` The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) recited 'Ha- Mim Ad-Dukhan' in Maghrib.
Hadith 1137
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ الْمُقْرِئُ أَبُو يَحْيَى بِمَكَّةَ وَهُوَ بَصْرِيٌّ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ ، أَنَّ عَلِيَّ بْنَ يَحْيَى بْنِ خَلَّادِ بْنِ مَالِكِ بْنِ رَافِعِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ حَدَّثَهُ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ رِفَاعَةَ بْنِ رَافِعٍ ، قال : بَيْنَمَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ جَالِسٌ وَنَحْنُ حَوْلَهُ إِذْ دَخَلَ رَجُلٌ فَأَتَى الْقِبْلَةَ فَصَلَّى فَلَمَّا قَضَى صَلَاتَهُ جَاءَ فَسَلَّمَ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَعَلَى الْقَوْمِ فَقَالَ لَهُ : رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " وَعَلَيْكَ اذْهَبْ فَصَلِّ فَإِنَّكَ لَمْ تُصَلِّ " فَذَهَبَ فَصَلَّى فَجَعَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَرْمُقُ صَلَاتَهُ وَلَا يَدْرِي مَا يَعِيبُ مِنْهَا فَلَمَّا قَضَى صَلَاتَهُ جَاءَ فَسَلَّمَ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَعَلَى الْقَوْمِ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " وَعَلَيْكَ اذْهَبْ فَصَلِّ فَإِنَّكَ لَمْ تُصَلِّ " فَأَعَادَهَا مَرَّتَيْنِ أَوْ ثَلَاثًا فَقَالَ الرَّجُلُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَا عِبْتَ مِنْ صَلَاتِي فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " إِنَّهَا لَمْ تَتِمَّ صَلَاةُ أَحَدِكُمْ حَتَّى يُسْبِغَ الْوُضُوءَ كَمَا أَمَرَهُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ فَيَغْسِلَ وَجْهَهُ وَيَدَيْهِ إِلَى الْمِرْفَقَيْنِ وَيَمْسَحَ بِرَأْسِهِ وَرِجْلَيْهِ إِلَى الْكَعْبَيْنِ ثُمَّ يُكَبِّرَ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَيَحْمَدَهُ وَيُمَجِّدَهُ قَالَ هَمَّامٌ وَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ وَيَحْمَدَ اللَّهَ وَيُمَجِّدَهُ وَيُكَبِّرَهُ قَالَ فَكِلَاهُمَا قَدْ سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ قَالَ وَيَقْرَأَ مَا تَيَسَّرَ مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ مِمَّا عَلَّمَهُ اللَّهُ وَأَذِنَ لَهُ فِيهِ ثُمَّ يُكَبِّرَ وَيَرْكَعَ حَتَّى تَطْمَئِنَّ مَفَاصِلُهُ وَتَسْتَرْخِيَ ، ثُمَّ يَقُولَ سَمِعَ اللَّهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَهُ ، ثُمَّ يَسْتَوِيَ قَائِمًا حَتَّى يُقِيمَ صُلْبَهُ ، ثُمَّ يُكَبِّرَ وَيَسْجُدَ حَتَّى يُمَكِّنَ وَجْهَهُ وَقَدْ سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ جَبْهَتَهُ حَتَّى تَطْمَئِنَّ مَفَاصِلُهُ وَتَسْتَرْخِيَ وَيُكَبِّرَ فَيَرْفَعَ حَتَّى يَسْتَوِيَ قَاعِدًا عَلَى مَقْعَدَتِهِ وَيُقِيمَ صُلْبَهُ ، ثُمَّ يُكَبِّرَ فَيَسْجُدَ حَتَّى يُمَكِّنَ وَجْهَهُ وَيَسْتَرْخِيَ فَإِذَا لَمْ يَفْعَلْ هَكَذَا لَمْ تَتِمَّ صَلَاتُهُ " .
´It was narrated that Rifa'ah bin Rafi' said:` "While the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was sitting with us around him, a man came in, turned towards the Qiblah and prayed. When he had finished his prayer, he came and greeted the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and the people with Salam. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said to him: 'And also to you. Go and pray, for you have not prayed.' So he went and prayed, and the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) started watching him, and he (the man) did not know what was wrong with it. When he had finished the prayer, he came and greeted the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and the people with salam. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said to him: 'And also to you. Go and pray, for you have not prayed.' He repeated it two or three times, then the man said: 'O Messenger of Allah, what is wrong with my prayer?' The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'The prayer of any of you is not complete unless he performs wudu properly as enjoined by Allah, the Mighty and Sublime. So he should wash his face, his arms up to the elbows, and wipe his head, and (wash) his feet up to the ankles. Then he should magnify Allah (SWT) and praise Him and glorify Him.'" - (One of the narrators) Hammam said: "I heard him say: 'He should praise Allah and glorify Him and magnify Him." He said: "I heard both of them." -"He (the Prophet (ﷺ)) said: 'He should recite whatever is easy for him of the Quran that Allah has taught him and permitted him in it (the prayer). Then he should say the Takbir and bow until his joints settle and he is relaxed. Then he should say: 'Sami Allahu liman hamidah (Allah hears the one who praises Him)' and stand up straight until his backbone is straight (and at ease). Then he should say Takbir and prostrate until he has placed his face firmly on the ground." "I heard him say: his forehead, until his joints settle and he is relaxed. Then he should say the Takbir and sit up until his backbone is straight (and at ease). Then he should prostrate until he has placed his face firmly on the ground and he is relaxed. If he does not do that then he has not completed his prayer."
Hadith 1544
أَخْبَرَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ فَضَالَةَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قال : أَنْبَأَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْمُقْرِئُ . ح وَأَنْبَأَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا حَيْوَةُ , وَذَكَرَ آخَرَ, قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْأَسْوَدِ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عُرْوَةَ بْنَ الزُّبَيْرِ يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ مَرْوَانَ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ ، أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ هَلْ صَلَّيْتَ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَاةَ الْخَوْفِ ؟ فَقَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ : نَعَمْ , قَالَ : مَتَى ؟ قَالَ : عَامَ غَزْوَةِ نَجْدٍ : قَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِصَلَاةِ الْعَصْرِ وَقَامَتْ مَعَهُ طَائِفَةٌ وَطَائِفَةٌ أُخْرَى مُقَابِلَ الْعَدُوِّ وَظُهُورُهُمْ إِلَى الْقِبْلَةِ ، فَكَبَّرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَكَبَّرُوا جَمِيعًا الَّذِينَ مَعَهُ وَالَّذِينَ يُقَابِلُونَ الْعَدُوَّ ، ثُمَّ رَكَعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَكْعَةً وَاحِدَةً وَرَكَعَتْ مَعَهُ الطَّائِفَةُ الَّتِي تَلِيهِ ثُمَّ سَجَدَ وَسَجَدَتِ الطَّائِفَةُ الَّتِي تَلِيهِ ، وَالْآخَرُونَ قِيَامٌ مُقَابِلَ الْعَدُوِّ ، ثُمَّ قَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , وَقَامَتِ الطَّائِفَةُ الَّتِي مَعَهُ فَذَهَبُوا إِلَى الْعَدُوِّ فَقَابَلُوهُمْ وَأَقْبَلَتِ الطَّائِفَةُ الَّتِي كَانَتْ مُقَابِلَ الْعَدُوِّ فَرَكَعُوا وَسَجَدُوا وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَائِمٌ كَمَا هُوَ , ثُمَّ قَامُوا فَرَكَعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَكْعَةً أُخْرَى وَرَكَعُوا مَعَهُ وَسَجَدَ وَسَجَدُوا مَعَهُ ، ثُمَّ أَقْبَلَتِ الطَّائِفَةُ الَّتِي كَانَتْ مُقَابِلَ الْعَدُوِّ فَرَكَعُوا وَسَجَدُوا وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَاعِدٌ وَمَنْ مَعَهُ ، ثُمَّ كَانَ السَّلَامُ فَسَلَّمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَسَلَّمُوا جَمِيعًا فَكَانَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَكْعَتَانِ وَلِكُلِّ رَجُلٍ مِنَ الطَّائِفَتَيْنِ رَكْعَتَانِ رَكْعَتَانِ " .
´It was narrated from Marwan bin Al-Hakam that:` He asked Abu Hurairah: "Did you offer the fear prayer with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)?" Abu Hurairah said: "Yes." He asked: "When?" He said: "In the year of the campaign to Najd. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) stood up to pray 'Asr and a group stood with him, and another group as facing the enemy, with their backs toward the Qiblah. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said the takbir, and they all said the takbir, those who were with him and those who were with him facing the enemy. Then the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) bowed once and the group that was with him bowed, then he and the group that was with him prostrated twice, while the others were standing facing the enemy. Then the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) stood up and the group that was with him stood and went to face the enemy, and the group that had been facing the enemy came and bowed and prostrated while the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was standing there. Then they stood up, and the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) bowed again, and they bowed and prostrated with him. Then the group that had been facing the enemy came and bowed and prostrated, while the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and those who were with him were sitting. Then the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said the taslim and they all said the taslim. So the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) had prayed two rak'ahs and each of the two groups had prayed two rak'ahs."
Hadith 1776
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا جُوَيْرِيَةُ بْنُ أَسْمَاءَ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنْ حَفْصَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " كَانَ يُصَلِّي رَكْعَتَيْنِ إِذَا طَلَعَ الْفَجْرُ " .
´It was narrated from Abdullah bin Umar, from Hafsah, that:` The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to pray two rak'ahs when dawn had broken.
Hadith 1881
أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ فَضَالَةَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ هُوَ ابْنُ يَزِيدَ الْمُقْرِئُ . ح وَأَنْبَأَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ الْمُقْرِئُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، قَالَ : سَعِيدٌ , حَدَّثَنِي رَبِيعَةُ بْنُ سَيْفٍ الْمَعَافِرِيُّ ، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْحُبُلِيِّ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، قَالَ : بَيْنَمَا نَحْنُ نَسِيرُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذْ بَصُرَ بِامْرَأَةٍ لَا تَظُنُّ أَنَّهُ عَرَفَهَا ، فَلَمَّا تَوَسَّطَ الطَّرِيقَ وَقَفَ حَتَّى انْتَهَتْ إِلَيْهِ ، فَإِذَا فَاطِمَةُ بِنْتُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَهَا : " مَا أَخْرَجَكِ مِنْ بَيْتِكِ يَا فَاطِمَةُ ؟ " , قَالَتْ : أَتَيْتُ أَهْلَ هَذَا الْمَيِّتِ فَتَرَحَّمْتُ إِلَيْهِمْ وَعَزَّيْتُهُمْ بِمَيِّتِهِمْ , قَالَ : " لَعَلَّكِ بَلَغْتِ مَعَهُمُ الْكُدَى " , قَالَتْ : مَعَاذَ اللَّهِ أَنْ أَكُونَ بَلَغْتُهَا وَقَدْ سَمِعْتُكَ تَذْكُرُ فِي ذَلِكَ مَا تَذْكُرُ ، فَقَالَ لَهَا : " لَوْ بَلَغْتِهَا مَعَهُمْ مَا رَأَيْتِ الْجَنَّةَ حَتَّى يَرَاهَا جَدُّ أَبِيكِ " , قَالَ أَبُو عَبْد الرَّحْمَنِ : رَبِيعَةُ ضَعِيفٌ .
´Rabiah bin Saif Al-Mu'afiri narrated from Abu 'Abdur-Rahman Al-Hubuli, from 'Abdullah bin 'Amr, who said:` "while we were traveling with the Messenger of Allah, he saw a woman, and did not think that he knew her. When she was halfway to him, he stopped until she reached him, and it was Fatimah, the daughter of the Messenger of Allah. He said to her: 'What brought you out of your house, O Fatimah?' She said: 'I came to the people of this deceased one to pray for mercy for them, and to offer my condolences to them.' He said: 'Perhaps you went with them to Al-Kuda?" She said: 'Allah forbid that I should go there. I heard what you said about that.' He said: If you had gone there with them, you would never have seen Paradise until the grandfather of your father saw it."'
Hadith 1936
أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ ، وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ , قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ أَبِي الْفُرَاتِ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ بُرَيْدَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْأَسْوَدِ الدِّيلِيِّ ، قال : أَتَيْتُ الْمَدِينَةَ فَجَلَسْتُ إِلَى عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ فَمُرَّ بِجَنَازَةٍ فَأُثْنِيَ عَلَى صَاحِبِهَا خَيْرًا ، فَقَالَ عُمَرُ : وَجَبَتْ ، ثُمَّ مُرَّ بِأُخْرَى فَأُثْنِيَ عَلَى صَاحِبِهَا خَيْرًا ، فَقَالَ عُمَرُ : وَجَبَتْ , ثُمَّ مُرَّ بِالثَّالِثِ فَأُثْنِيَ عَلَى صَاحِبِهَا شَرًّا ، فَقَالَ عُمَرُ : وَجَبَتْ ، فَقُلْتُ : وَمَا وَجَبَتْ يَا أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ؟ قال : قُلْتُ كَمَا قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَيُّمَا مُسْلِمٍ شَهِدَ لَهُ أَرْبَعَةٌ قَالُوا خَيْرًا أَدْخَلَهُ اللَّهُ الْجَنَّةَ " , قُلْنَا : أَوْ ثَلَاثَةٌ , قَالَ : أَوْ ثَلَاثَةٌ , قُلْنَا : أَوِ اثْنَانِ , قَالَ : أَوِ اثْنَانِ .
´It was narrated that Abu Aswad Ad-Dili said:` "I came to Al-Madinah and sat with 'Umar bin Al-Khattab. A funeral passed by and the deceased was praised, and 'Umar said: 'It is granted.' Then another passed by and the deceased was praised, and 'Umar Said: 'It is granted.' Then a third passed by, and the deceased was criticized, and 'Umar said: 'It is granted.' I said: What is granted, O commander of the believers?' He said: 'I said what the Messenger of Allah said: Any Muslim for whom four people bear witness and say good things, Allah will admit him to Paradise.' We said: 'Or three?' He said: 'Or three.' We said: 'Or two?' He said: 'Or two."'
Hadith 1947
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، وَمَنْصُورٌ , وَزِيَادٌ , وَبَكْرٌ هُوَ ابْنُ وَائِلٍ ، كُلُّهُمْ ذَكَرُوا أَنَّهُمْ سَمِعُوا مِنَ الزُّهْرِيِّ يُحَدِّثُ ، أَنَّ سَالِمًا أَخْبَرَهُ ، أَنَّ أَبَاهُ أَخْبَرَهُ ، أَنَّهُ " رَأَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَبَا بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ وَعُثْمَانَ يَمْشُونَ بَيْنَ يَدَيِ الْجَنَازَةِ " , بَكْرٌ وَحْدَهُ لَمْ يَذْكُرْ عُثْمَانَ , قَالَ أَبُو عَبْد الرَّحْمَنِ : هَذَا خَطَأٌ وَالصَّوَابُ مُرْسَلٌ .
´Salim narrated:` That his father told him that he was the Prophet, Abu Bakr, 'Umar and 'Uthman walking in front of the Janazah.

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ ، قال : حَدَّثَنِي يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ ، عَنْ عَمَّارٍ ، قال : " حَضَرَتْ جَنَازَةُ صَبِيٍّ وَامْرَأَةٍ فَقُدِّمَ الصَّبِيُّ مِمَّا يَلِي الْقَوْمَ وَوُضِعَتِ الْمَرْأَةُ وَرَاءَهُ فَصَلَّى عَلَيْهِمَا ، وَفِي الْقَوْمِ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيُّ ، وَابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ ، وَأَبُو قَتَادَةَ ، وَأَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ ، فَسَأَلْتُهُمْ عَنْ ذَلِكَ فَقَالُوا : السُّنَّةُ " .
´It was narrated that 'Ammar said:` "The Janazah of a boy and a woman were brought. The boy was placed closer to the people and the woman was placed beyond him, and the funeral prayer was offered for them. Among the people were Abu Saeed Al-Khudri, Ibn Abbas, Abu Qatadah and Abu Hurairah. I asked them about that and they said: '(It is) Sunnah."'
Hadith 2120
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا وَرْقَاءُ ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " صُومُوا لِرُؤْيَتِهِ ، وَأَفْطِرُوا لِرُؤْيَتِهِ ، فَإِنْ غُمَّ عَلَيْكُمْ فَاقْدِرُوا ثَلَاثِينَ " .
´Narrated It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said:` : "The Messenger of Allah said: 'Fast when you see it and stop fasting when you see it, and if it is obscured from you (too cloudy), then count it as thirty (days).'"
Hadith 2862
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ الْمُقْرِئُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا جُوَيْرِيَةُ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ , وَسَالِمَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ أَخْبَرَاهُ , أَنَّهُمَا كَلَّمَا عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ لَمَّا نَزَلَ الْجَيْشُ بِابْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ ، قَبْلَ أَنْ يُقْتَلَ ، فَقَالَا : لَا يَضُرُّكَ أَنْ لَا تَحُجَّ الْعَامَ ، إِنَّا نَخَافُ أَنْ يُحَالَ بَيْنك وَبَيْنَ الْبَيْتِ ، قَالَ : " خَرَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَحَالَ كُفَّارُ قُرَيْشٍ دُونَ الْبَيْتِ ، فَنَحَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ هَدْيَهُ ، وَحَلَقَ رَأْسَهُ ، وَأُشْهِدُكُمْ أَنِّي قَدْ أَوْجَبْتُ عُمْرَةً إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ أَنْطَلِقُ ، فَإِنْ خُلِّيَ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَ الْبَيْتِ ، طُفْتُ ، وَإِنْ حِيلَ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَ الْبَيْتِ فَعَلْتُ مَا فَعَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَنَا مَعَهُ ، ثُمَّ سَارَ سَاعَةً ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : فَإِنَّمَا شَأْنُهُمَا وَاحِدٌ ، أُشْهِدُكُمْ أَنِّي قَدْ أَوْجَبْتُ حَجَّةً مَعَ عُمْرَتِي ، فَلَمْ يَحْلِلْ مِنْهُمَا حَتَّى أَحَلَّ يَوْمَ النَّحْرِ وَأَهْدَى " .
´It was narrated from Nafi that:` Abdulla bin Abdullah and salim bin Abdullah bin Umar when the army besiged Ibn Az-Zubair before he was killed. They said: "It does not matter if you do not perform Hajj this year; we are afraid lest we are prevented from reaching the House." He Sadi: we went out with the Messenger of Allah and the disbelievers of the Quraish prevented us from reaching the House. So the Messenger of Allah slaughtered his Hadi and shave his head. I ask you to bear witness that I have resolved to peform Umrah. If Allah wills I will set out and if I am allowed to reach the House I will circumambulate it, and if I am prevented from reaching the House I will do what the Messenger of Allah did when I was with him." Then he traveled for a while, then he said: "They are both the same. I ask you to bear witness that I have resolved to perform Hajj as well as Umrah. And he did not exit Ihram for either until he exited Ihram on the Day of Sacrifice and offered his Hadi.
Hadith 3007
أَخْبَرَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ فَضَالَةَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قَالَ : أَنْبَأَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ وَهُوَ ابْنُ يَزِيدَ الْمُقْرِئُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبِي يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " إِنَّ يَوْمَ عَرَفَةَ ، وَيَوْمَ النَّحْرِ ، وَأَيَّامَ التَّشْرِيقِ عِيدُنَا أَهْلَ الْإِسْلَامِ ، وَهِيَ أَيَّامُ أَكْلٍ وَشُرْبٍ " .
´It was narrated from Uqbah bin Amir that the Messenger of Allah said:` "The day of Arafat and the day of sacrifice and the day of At-Tashriq are our Id, the people of Islam, and they are days of eating and drinking."
Hadith 3121
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي شُرَحْبِيلُ بْنُ شَرِيكٍ الْمَعَافِرِيُّ ، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْحُبُلِيِّ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا أَيُّوبَ الْأَنْصَارِيَّ , يَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " غَدْوَةٌ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ أَوْ رَوْحَةٌ خَيْرٌ مِمَّا طَلَعَتْ عَلَيْهِ الشَّمْسُ وَغَرَبَتْ " .
´It was narrated from Abu 'Abdur-Rahman Al-Hubuli that he heard Abu Ayyub Al-Ansari say:` "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'Going out before noon and after noon, in the cause of Allah, is better than everything on which the sun rises and sets.'"
Hadith 3122
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَجْلَانَ ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " ثَلَاثَةٌ كُلُّهُمْ حَقٌّ عَلَى اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ عَوْنُهُ : الْمُجَاهِدُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ، وَالنَّاكِحُ الَّذِي يُرِيدُ الْعَفَافَ ، وَالْمُكَاتَبُ الَّذِي يُرِيدُ الْأَدَاءَ " .
´It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:` "There are three, all of whom have a promise of help from Allah: 'The Mujahid who strives in the cause of Allah, the Mighty and Sublime; the man who gets married, seeking to keep himself chaste; and the slave who has a contract of manumission and wants to buy his freedom.'"
Hadith 3127
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَيْوَةُ ، وَذَكَرَ آخَرَ , قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو هَانِئٍ الْخَوْلَانِيُّ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْحُبُلِيَّ ، يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَمْرٍو ، يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " مَا مِنْ غَازِيَةٍ تَغْزُو فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ، فَيُصِيبُونَ غَنِيمَةً إِلَّا تَعَجَّلُوا ثُلُثَيْ أَجْرِهِمْ مِنَ الْآخِرَةِ ، وَيَبْقَى لَهُمُ الثُّلُثُ ، فَإِنْ لَمْ يُصِيبُوا غَنِيمَةً تَمَّ لَهُمْ أَجْرُهُمْ " .
´'Abdullah bin 'Amr said:` "I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: 'There is no raiding party that goes out in the cause of Allah and acquires some spoils of war, but they have been given two-thirds of their reward in this world instead of in the Hereafter, and there remains one-third (in the Hereafter). And if they do not acquire any spoils of war, then all of their reward (will come in the Hereafter).'"
Hadith 3234
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَيْوَةُ ، وَذَكَرَ آخَرَ ، أَنْبَأَنَا شُرَحْبِيلُ بْنُ شَرِيكٍ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْحُبُلِيَّ يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " إِنَّ الدُّنْيَا كُلَّهَا مَتَاعٌ ، وَخَيْرُ مَتَاعِ الدُّنْيَا الْمَرْأَةُ الصَّالِحَةُ " .
´Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Amr bin Al-'As:` It was narrated from 'Abdullah bin 'Amr bin Al-'As that the Messenger of Allah said: "This world is all temporary conveniences, and the best temporary convenience of this world is a righteous woman."
Hadith 3697
أَخْبَرَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ أَبِي سَالِمٍ الْجَيْشَانِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ ، قَالَ : قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " يَا أَبَا ذَرٍّ إِنِّي أَرَاكَ ضَعِيفًا ، وَإِنِّي أُحِبُّ لَكَ مَا أُحِبُّ لِنَفْسِي لَا تَأَمَّرَنَّ عَلَى اثْنَيْنِ وَلَا تَوَلَّيَنَّ عَلَى مَالِ يَتِيمٍ " .
´It was narrated that Abu Dharr said:` "The Messenger of Allah said to me: 'O Abu Dharr, I think that you are weak, and I like for you what I like for myself. Do not accept a position of Amir over two people, and do not agree to be the guardian of an orphan's property.'"
Hadith 3780
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " قَضَى بِالْعُمْرَى أَنْ يَهَبَ الرَّجُلُ لِلرَّجُلِ وَلِعَقِبِهِ الْهِبَةَ وَيَسْتَثْنِيَ إِنْ حَدَثَ بِكَ حَدَثٌ وَبِعَقِبِكَ فَهُوَ إِلَيَّ وَإِلَى عَقِبِي إِنَّهَا لِمَنْ أُعْطِيَهَا وَلِعَقِبِهِ " .
Yazid bin Abi Habib narrated from Ibn Shihab, from Abu Salamah, from Jabir, that the Messenger of Allah ruled concerning 'Umra -when a man gives a gift to another man, and his descendants, but stipulates that if something happens to you and your descendants, then it will belong to me and my descendants- "It belongs to the one to whom it was given, and to his descendants."
Hadith 3945
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ الْمُقْرِئُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا جُوَيْرِيَةُ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ , أَنَّ رَافِعَ بْنَ خَدِيجٍ حَدَّثَ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " نَهَى عَنْ كِرَاءِ الْمَزَارِعِ " .
It was narrated from Nafi' that Rafi' bin Khadij told 'Abdullah bin 'Umar that the Messenger of Allah forbade leasing arable land.
Hadith 4091
أَخْبَرَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ فَضَالَةَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ ، قَالَ : أَنْبَأَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ ، قَالَ : أَنْبَأَنَا أَبُو الْأَسْوَدِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مَنْ قُتِلَ دُونَ مَالِهِ مَظْلُومًا فَلَهُ الْجَنَّةُ " .
´It was narrated from 'Abdullah bin 'Amr bin Al-'As that:` The Messenger of Allah [SAW] said: "Whoever is killed defending his wealth and is killed unjustly, Paradise will be his."
Hadith 5261
أَخْبَرَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ فَضَالَةَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قَالَ : أَنْبَأَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْمُقْرِئُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ ، عَنْ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " مَنْ عُرِضَ عَلَيْهِ طِيبٌ فَلَا يَرُدَّهُ ، فَإِنَّهُ خَفِيفُ الْمَحْمَلِ طَيِّبُ الرَّائِحَةِ " .
´It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that:` The Messenger of Allah [SAW] said: "Whoever is offered perfume, let him not refuse it for it is easy to carry, and smells good."
Hadith 5475
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَيْوَةُ , وَذَكَرَ آخَرَ, قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سَالِمُ بْنُ غَيْلَانَ التُّجِيبِيُّ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ دَرَّاجًا أَبَا السَّمْحِ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا الْهَيْثَمِ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا سَعِيدٍ , يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ مِنَ الْكُفْرِ وَالدَّيْنِ " ، قَالَ رَجُلٌ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَتَعْدِلُ الدَّيْنَ بِالْكُفْرِ ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " نَعَمْ " .
´Abu Sa'eed said:` "I heard the Messenger of Allah [SAW] say: 'A'udhu billahi minal-kufri wad-dain. (I seek refuge with Allah from Kufr and debt.)' A man said: 'O Messenger of Allah, are you equating debt with Kufr?' The Messenger of Allah [SAW] said: 'Yes.'"
Hadith 5476
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْمُقْرِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَيْوَةُ ، عَنْ دَرَّاجٍ أَبِي السَّمْحِ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْهَيْثَمِ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , قَالَ : " أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ مِنَ الْكُفْرِ وَالدَّيْنِ " , فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ : تَعْدِلُ الدَّيْنَ بِالْكُفْرِ ؟ قَالَ : " نَعَمْ " .
´It was narrated from Abu Sa'eed that:` The Prophet [SAW] said: "A'udhu billahi minal-kufri wad-dain. (I seek refuge with Allah from Kufr and debt.)" A man said: "Are you equating debt with Kufr?" He said: "Yes."
