Hadith 739
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ الْجُمَحِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ ، قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ حَتَّى يَتَبَاهَى النَّاسُ فِي الْمَسَاجِدِ " .
´It was narrated that Anas bin Malik said:` "The Messenger of Allah said: 'The Hour will not begin until the people compete in (building) mosques.'"
Hadith 2439
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ الْجُمَحِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ ، حَدَّثَنَا هِلَالُ بْنُ خَبَاب : ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَاتَ وَدِرْعُهُ رَهْنٌ عِنْدَ يَهُودِيٍّ بِثَلَاثِينَ صَاعًا مِنْ شَعِيرٍ " .
´It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas that:` the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) died while his armor was pawned to a Jew for thirty Sa’s of barley.' ”
Hadith 2526
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ الْجُمَحِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُمْهَانَ ، عَنْ سَفِينَةَ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، قَالَ : " أَعْتَقَتْنِي أُمُّ سَلَمَةَ وَاشْتَرَطَتْ عَلَيَّ أَنْ أَخْدُمَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا عَاشَ " .
´It was narrated from that Safinah - Abu 'Abdur-Rahman-said :` “Umm Salamah freed me but stipulated that I should serve the Prophet (ﷺ) as long he lived.”
Hadith 3347
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ الْجُمَحِيُّ , حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ , عَنْ هِلَالِ بْنِ خَبَّابٍ , عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ , عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ , قَالَ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " يَبِيتُ اللَّيَالِي الْمُتَتَابِعَةَ طَاوِيًا , وَأَهْلُهُ لَا يَجِدُونَ الْعَشَاءَ , وَكَانَ عَامَّةَ خُبْزِهِمْ خُبْزُ الشَّعِيرِ " .
´It was narrated that Ibn ‘Abbas said:` “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to spend many nights in a row hungry and his family could find no supper, and usually their bread was barley bread.”
Hadith 3967
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ الْجُمَحِيُّ , حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ , عَنْ لَيْثٍ , عَنْ طَاوُسٍ , عَنْ زِيَادِ سَيْمِينْ كُوشْ , عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو , قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " تَكُونُ فِتْنَةٌ تَسْتَنْظِفُ الْعَرَبَ قَتْلَاهَا فِي النَّارِ , اللِّسَانُ فِيهَا أَشَدُّ مِنْ وَقْعِ السَّيْفِ " .
´It was narrated from ‘Abdullah bin ‘Amr that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` “There will be a tribulation which will utterly destroy the Arabs, and those who are slain will be in Hell. At that time the tongue will be worse than a blow of the sword.”
Hadith 4134
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ , حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ , حَدَّثَنَا غَسَّانُ بْنُ بُرْزِينَ . ح وحَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ الْجُمَحِيُّ , حَدَّثَنَا غَسَّانُ بْنُ بُرْزِينَ , حَدَّثَنَا سَيَّارُ بْنُ سَلَامَةَ , عَنْ الْبَرَاءِ السَّلِيطِيِّ , عَنْ نُقَادَةَ الْأَسَدِيِّ , قَالَ : بَعَثَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَى رَجُلٍ يَسْتَمْنِحُهُ نَاقَةً , فَرَدَّهُ , ثُمَّ بَعَثَنِي إِلَى رَجُلٍ آخَرَ , فَأَرْسَلَ إِلَيْهِ بِنَاقَةٍ , فَلَمَّا أَبْصَرَهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , قَالَ : " اللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ فِيهَا وَفِيمَنْ بَعَثَ بِهَا " , قَالَ نُقَادَةُ : فَقُلْتُ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : وَفِيمَنْ جَاءَ بِهَا ؟ قَالَ : " وَفِيمَنْ جَاءَ بِهَا " , ثُمَّ أَمَرَ بِهَا فَحُلِبَتْ فَدَرَّتْ , فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " اللَّهُمَّ أَكْثِرْ مَالَ فُلَانٍ " , لِلْمَانِعِ الْأَوَّلِ , " وَاجْعَلْ رِزْقَ فُلَانٍ يَوْمًا بِيَوْمٍ " لِلَّذِي بَعَثَ بِالنَّاقَةِ .
´It was narrated that Nuqadah Al-Asadi said:` “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) sent me to a man whom he was talking to lend him a she-camel (for milking) and to be returned, but he refused. Then he sent me to another man, who sent a she-camel to him. When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) saw it, he said: ‘O Allah, bless it and bless the one who sent it.’” Nuqadah said: "I said to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ): 'And for the one who brought it.' He said: 'And (bless) the one who brought it.' Then he ordered that it should be milked and it yielded plenty of milk. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'O Allah, increase the wealth of so-and-so,' meaning the first one who did not give a camel; 'and give so-and-so provision day by day,' meaning the one who had sent the she-camel."
