Hadith 1040
وحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ أَخِي الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ حَمْزَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " لَا تَزَالُ الْمَسْأَلَةُ بِأَحَدِكُمْ حَتَّى يَلْقَى اللَّهَ ، وَلَيْسَ فِي وَجْهِهِ مُزْعَةُ لَحْمٍ " ،
Hamza. son of 'Abdullah, reported on the authority of his father that the Apostle of Allah (ﷺ) said: When a man is always begging from people, he would meet Allah (in a state) that there would be no flesh on his face.
Hadith 1040
وحَدَّثَنِي عَمْرٌو النَّاقِدُ ، حَدَّثَنِي إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنْ أَخِي الزُّهْرِيِّ هَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ مِثْلَهُ ، وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ " مُزْعَةُ " .
This hadith has been narrated on the authority of the brother of Zuhri with the same chain of transmitters, but no mention has been made of the word "muz'a" (piece).
Hadith 1448
وحدثنا هَارُونُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْأَيْلِيُّ ، وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ عِيسَى ، قَالَا : حدثنا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي مَخْرَمَةُ بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ مُسْلِمٍ ، يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ مُسْلِمٍ ، يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ حُمَيْدَ بْنَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ أُمَّ سَلَمَةَ زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، تَقُولُ : قِيلَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : أَيْنَ أَنْتَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ عَنِ ابْنَةِ حَمْزَةَ ؟ قِيلَ : أَلَا تَخْطُبُ بِنْتَ حَمْزَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ ، قَالَ : " إِنَّ حَمْزَةَ أَخِي مِنَ الرَّضَاعَةِ " .
Umm Salamah (Allah be pleased with her), the wife of Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) , said: It was said to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) : Is not the daughter of Hamza a suitable match for you? Or it was said: Why don't you propose to marry the daughter of Hamza, the son of Abdul Muttalib? Thereupon he said: Hamza is my brother by reason of fosterage.
