Hadith 495
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرٌ وَهُوَ ابْنُ مُضَرَ ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ ، عَنْ الأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ابْنِ بُحَيْنَةَ ، " أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا صَلَّى ، فَرَّجَ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ ، حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ بَيَاضُ إِبْطَيْهِ " .
'Abdullah bin Malik ibn Bujainah reported: When the Prophet (ﷺ) prostrated, he spread out his arms so that the whiteness of his armpits was visible.
Hadith 570
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : قَرَأْتُ عَلَى مَالِكٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ابْنِ بُحَيْنَةَ ، قَالَ : " صَلَّى لَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : رَكْعَتَيْنِ مِنْ بَعْضِ الصَّلَوَاتِ ، ثُمَّ قَامَ فَلَمْ يَجْلِسْ ، فَقَامَ النَّاسُ مَعَهُ ، فَلَمَّا قَضَى صَلَاتَهُ وَنَظَرْنَا تَسْلِيمَهُ ، كَبَّرَ ، فَسَجَدَ سَجْدَتَيْنِ وَهُوَ جَالِسٌ ، قَبْلَ التَّسْلِيمِ ، ثُمَّ سَلَّمَ " .
'Abdullah bin Buhaina reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) led us two rak'ahs of prayer in one of the (obligatory) prayers and then got up and did not sit. and the people stood up along with him. When he finished the prayer and we expected him to pronounce salutation. he said:" Allah is Most Great" while sitting and made two prostrations before salutation and then pronounced (the, final) salutation.
Hadith 570
وحَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ . ح ، قَالَ : وحَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ رُمْحٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا اللَّيْثُ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنِ الأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ابْنِ بُحَيْنَةَ الأَسْدِيِّ حَلِيفِ بَنِي عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِب ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، " قَامَ فِي صَلَاةِ الظُّهْرِ وَعَلَيْهِ جُلُوسٌ ، فَلَمَّا أَتَمَّ صَلَاتَهُ ، سَجَدَ سَجْدَتَيْنِ ، يُكَبِّرُ فِي كُلِّ سَجْدَةٍ وَهُوَ جَالِسٌ ، قَبْلَ أَنْ يُسَلِّمَ ، وَسَجَدَهُمَا النَّاسُ مَعَهُ ، مَكَانَ مَا نَسِيَ مِنَ الْجُلُوسِ " .
'Abdullah bin Buhaina al-Asadi, the ally of Abual-Muttalib, reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) stood up in the noon prayer (though) he hadith sit (after the two rak'ahs). When he completed the prayer he performed two prostrations and said," Allah is the Most Great" in each prostration, while he was sitting before pronouncing salutation, and the people performed prostration along with him. That was a compensation for he had forgotten to observe jalsa (after two rak'ahs).
Hadith 570
وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الرَّبِيعِ الزَّهْرَانِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ابْنِ بُحَيْنَةَ الأَزْدِيِّ ، " أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَامَ فِي الشَّفْعِ ، الَّذِي يُرِيدُ أَنْ يَجْلِسَ فِي صَلَاتِهِ ، فَمَضَى فِي صَلَاتِهِ ، فَلَمَّا كَانَ فِي آخِرِ الصَّلَاةِ ، سَجَدَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُسَلِّمَ ، ثُمَّ سَلَّمَ " .
'Abdullah bin Malik ibn Buhaina al-Asadi reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) stood up (at the end of two rak'ahs) when he had to sit and proceeded on with the prayer. But when he was at the end of the prayer, he performed a prostration before the salutation and then pronounced the salutation.
Hadith 711
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ الْقَعْنَبِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ حَفْصِ بْنِ عَاصِمٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ابْنِ بُحَيْنَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، مَرَّ بِرَجُلٍ يُصَلِّي ، وَقَدْ أُقِيمَتِ صَلَاةُ الصُّبْحِ ، فَكَلَّمَهُ بِشَيْءٍ لَا نَدْرِي مَا هُوَ ، فَلَمَّا انْصَرَفْنَا ، أَحَطْنَا نَقُولُ : مَاذَا ؟ قَالَ : لَكَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ لِي : " يُوشِكُ أَنْ يُصَلِّيَ أَحَدُكُمُ الصُّبْحَ أَرْبَعًا " ، قَالَ : الْقَعْنَبِيُّ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَالِكٍ ابْنُ بُحَيْنَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ مُسْلِمٌ وَقَوْلُهُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، فِي هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ خَطَأٌ .
'Abdullah bin Malik bin Buhaina reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) happened to pass by a person who was busy in praying while the (Fard of the) dawn prayer had commenced. He said something to him, which we do not know what it was. When we turned back we surrounded him and said: What is it that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said to you? He replied: He (the Holy Prophet) had said to me that he perceived as if one of them was about to observe four (rak'ahs) of the dawn prayer. Qa'nabi reported that 'Abdullah bin Malik bin Buhaina narrated it on the authority of his father. (Abu'l-Husain Muslim said): His assertion that he has narrated this hadith on the authority of his father is not correct.
Hadith 711
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ حَفْصِ بْنِ عَاصِمٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ بُحَيْنَةَ ، قَالَ : " أُقِيمَتِ صَلَاةُ الصُّبْحِ ، فَرَأَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، رَجُلًا يُصَلِّي ، وَالْمُؤَذِّنُ يُقِيمُ ، فَقَالَ : أَتُصَلِّي الصُّبْحَ أَرْبَعًا ؟ " .
Ibn Buhaina reported: The dawn prayer had commenced when the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) saw a person observing prayer, whereas the Mu'adhdhin had pronounced when he hears the Iqamah. Upon this he (the Holy Prophet (ﷺ)) remarked: Do you say four (rak'ahs) of Fard in the dawn prayer?
Hadith 1203
وحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْمُعَلَّى بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ بِلَالٍ ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ أَبِي عَلْقَمَةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ بُحَيْنَةَ ، أَنَّ ّالنَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " احْتَجَمَ بِطَرِيقِ مَكَّةَ ، وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ وَسَطَ رَأْسِهِ " .
Ibn Buhaina reported that the Apostle of Allah (ﷺ) got himself cupped in the middle of his head on his way to Makkah.
