Narrated Abdullah ibn Abbas: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ and his Companions performed Umrah from al-Ji'ranah. They went quickly round the House (the Kabah) moving their shoulders) proudly. They put their upper garments under their armpits and threw the ends over their left shoulders.

Narrated Abdullah ibn Abbas: The Prophet ﷺ wore the mantle under his right armpit with the end over his left shoulder, and touched the corner (Black Stone), then uttered "Allah is most great" and walked proudly in three circuits of circumambulation. Thereupon the Quraysh said: They look to be the deer (that are jumping). Ibn Abbas said: Hence this became the sunnah (model behaviour of the Prophet).

Hafsah, daughter of Abdur Rahman ibn Abu Bakr, reported on the authority of her father: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to Abdur Rahman: Abdur Rahman, put your sister Aishah on the back of the camel behind you and make her perform Umrah from at-Tanim.
