Hadith 1110
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ ، وَقُتَيْبَةُ ، وَابْنُ حُجْرٍ ، قَالَ ابْنُ أَيُّوبَ : حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ وَهُوَ ابْنُ مَعْمَرِ بْنِ حَزْمٍ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ أَبُو طُوَالَةَ ، أَنَّ أَبَا يُونُسَ مَوْلَى عَائِشَةَ أَخْبَرَهُ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا جَاءَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَسْتَفْتِيهِ ، وَهِيَ تَسْمَعُ مِنْ وَرَاءِ الْبَابِ ، فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ تُدْرِكُنِي الصَّلَاةُ وَأَنَا جُنُبٌ أَفَأَصُومُ ؟ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " وَأَنَا تُدْرِكُنِي الصَّلَاةُ وَأَنَا جُنُبٌ فَأَصُومُ ، فَقَالَ : لَسْتَ مِثْلَنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَدْ غَفَرَ اللَّهُ لَكَ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِكَ وَمَا تَأَخَّرَ ، فَقَالَ : وَاللَّهِ إِنِّي لَأَرْجُو أَنْ أَكُونَ أَخْشَاكُمْ لِلَّهِ ، وَأَعْلَمَكُمْ بِمَا أَتَّقِي " .
'A'isha reported that a person came to the Apottle of Allah (ﷺ) asking for a fatwa (religious verdict). She ('A'isha) had been overhearing it from behind the curtain. 'A'isha added that he (the person) had said: Messenger of Allah, (the time) of prayer overtakes me as I am in a state of junub; should I observe fast (in this state)? Upon this the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: At times, the time of prayer overtakes me while I am in a state of junub, and I observe fast (in that very state), whereupon he said: Messenger of Allah, you are not like us Allah has pardoned all your sins, the previous ones and the later ones. Upon this he (the Holy Prophet) said: By Allah, I hope I am the most God-fearirg of you, and possess the best knowledge among you of those (things) against which I should guard.
Hadith 1912
وحَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَي بْنُ أَيُّوبَ ، وَقُتَيْبَةُ ، وَابْنُ حُجْرٍ ، قَالُوا : حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ وَهُوَ ابْنُ جَعْفَر ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ ، يَقُولُ : أَتَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ابْنَةَ مِلْحَانَ خَالَةَ أَنَسٍ ، فَوَضَعَ رَأْسَهُ عِنْدَهَا ، وَسَاقَ الْحَدِيثَ بِمَعْنَى حَدِيثِ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ ، وَمُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَي بْنِ حَبَّانَ .
It has been reported on the authority of Umm Haram daughter of Milhan (through another chain of transmitters). She said: One day the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) slept (at a place) near me. He woke up smiling. She said: Messenger of Allah. what made thee laugh? He said: A people from my followers were presented to me. They were sailing on the surface of this green sea... (here follows the tradition that has gone before).
Hadith 2029
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَي بْنُ أَيُّوبَ ، وَقُتَيْبَةُ ، وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ ، قَالُوا : حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ وَهُوَ ابْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ مَعْمَرِ بْنِ حَزْمٍ أَبِي طُوَالَةَ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ . ح وحَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ بْنِ قَعْنَبٍ ، وَاللَّفْظُ لَهُ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ بِلَالٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ يُحَدِّثُ ، قَالَ : أَتَانَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي دَارِنَا فَاسْتَسْقَى فَحَلَبْنَا لَهُ شَاةً ، ثُمَّ شُبْتُهُ مِنْ مَاءِ بِئْرِي هَذِهِ ، قَالَ : فَأَعْطَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَشَرِبَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ وَعُمَرُ وِجَاهَهُ وَأَعْرَابِيٌّ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ ، فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ شُرْبِهِ ، قَالَ عُمَرُ : هَذَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، يُرِيهِ إِيَّاهُ ، فَأَعْطَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْأَعْرَابِيَّ وَتَرَكَ أَبَا بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ ، وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " الْأَيْمَنُونَ الْأَيْمَنُونَ الْأَيْمَنُونَ " ، قَالَ أَنَسٌ : فَهِيَ سُنَّةٌ فَهِيَ سُنَّةٌ فَهِيَ سُنَّةٌ .
Yahya ibn Ayyub, Qutaybah, and Ali ibn Hujr narrated to us, they said: Isma'il, who is Ibn Ja'far, narrated to us, from Abdullah ibn Abdur-Rahman ibn Ma'mar ibn Hazm Abu Tuwalah al-Ansari, that he heard Anas ibn Malik. And Abdullah ibn Maslamah ibn Qa'nab narrated to us—and the wording is his—he said: Sulaiman, meaning Ibn Bilal, narrated to us, from Abdullah ibn Abdur-Rahman, that he heard Anas ibn Malik narrate, he said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, came to us in our house and asked for a drink, so we milked a sheep for him, then I mixed it with water from this well of mine. He said: I gave it to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, drank, and Abu Bakr was on his left, and Umar was facing him, and a Bedouin was on his right. When the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, finished drinking, Umar said: This is Abu Bakr, O Messenger of Allah, pointing him out to him. But the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, gave it to the Bedouin and left Abu Bakr and Umar. And the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The rightmost, the rightmost, the rightmost." Anas said: So it is a Sunnah, so it is a Sunnah, so it is a Sunnah.
Hadith 2047
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ بْنِ قَعْنَبٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ بِلَالٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " مَنْ أَكَلَ سَبْعَ تَمَرَاتٍ مِمَّا بَيْنَ لَابَتَيْهَا حِينَ يُصْبِحُ لَمْ يَضُرَّهُ سُمٌّ حَتَّى يُمْسِيَ " .
Amir bin Sa'd bin Abu Waqqas, on the authority of his father, reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) having said: He who ate seven dates of the land situated between these two lava plains in the morning, no poison will harm him until it is evening.
Hadith 2446
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ بْنِ قَعْنَبٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ بِلَالٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " فَضْلُ عَائِشَةَ عَلَى النِّسَاءِ ، كَفَضْلِ الثَّرِيدِ عَلَى سَائِرِ الطَّعَامِ " .
Anas bin Malik (RA) reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: The excellence of 'A'isha over women is like the excellence of Tharid over all other foods.
Hadith 2446
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَي بْنُ يَحْيَي ، وَقُتَيْبَةُ ، وَابْنُ حُجْرٍ ، قَالُوا : حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ يَعْنُونَ بْنَ جَعْفَرٍ . ح وحَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ كِلَاهُمَا ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، بِمِثْلِهِ ، وَلَيْسَ فِي حَدِيثِهِمَا ، سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَفِي حَدِيثِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ .
This hadith has been narrated on the authority of Anas bin Malik (RA) through other chains of transmitters.
Hadith 2566
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ فِيمَا قُرِئَ عَلَيْهِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ مَعْمَرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْحُبَابِ سَعِيدِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَقُولُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ : أَيْنَ الْمُتَحَابُّونَ بِجَلَالِي الْيَوْمَ ، أُظِلُّهُمْ فِي ظِلِّي يَوْمَ لَا ظِلَّ إِلَّا ظِلِّي " .
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: Verily. Allah would say on the Day of Resurrection: Where are those who have mutual love for My Glory's sake? Today I shall shelter them in My shadow when there is no other shadow but the shadow of Mine.
