Hadith 323
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ هِشَامٍ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا مَخْلَدٌ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ بُجْدَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ ، قال : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " الصَّعِيدُ الطَّيِّبُ وَضُوءُ الْمُسْلِمِ وَإِنْ لَمْ يَجِدِ الْمَاءَ عَشْرَ سِنِينَ " .
´It was narrated that Abu Dharr said:` "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'Clean earth is the Wudu' of the Muslim, even if he does not find water for ten years.'"
Hadith 382
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ زُرَارَةَ ، قال : أَنْبَأَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ ، عَنْ مُعَاذَةَ الْعَدَوِيَّةِ ، قالت : سَأَلَتِ امْرَأَةٌ عَائِشَةَ : أَتَقْضِي الْحَائِضُ الصَّلَاةَ ؟ فَقَالَتْ : أَحَرُورِيَّةٌ أَنْتِ ؟ قَدْ " كُنَّا نَحِيضُ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَلَا نَقْضِي وَلَا نُؤْمَرُ بِقَضَاءٍ " .
´It was narrated that Mu'adhah Al-'Adawiyyah said:` "A woman asked 'Aishah: 'Should a menstruating woman make up the Salah she misses? She said: 'Are you a Haruri? [1] We used to menstruate during the time of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) but we did not make up the missed Salah nor were we commanded to do so.'" [1] Meaning are you one of the Khawarij. Harura is a place associated with a group of the Khawarij.
Hadith 444
أَخْبَرَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الطُّفَاوِيُّ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " إِذَا نَعَسَ أَحَدُكُمْ فِي صَلَاتِهِ فَلْيَنْصَرِفْ وَلْيَرْقُدْ " .
´It was narrated from Anas that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` "If anyone of you feels drowsy during his Salah, let him go and take a nap."
Hadith 475
أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، قال : حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ ، قال : حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ ، قال : حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الْمَلِيحِ ، قال : كُنَّا مَعَ بُرَيْدَةَ فِي يَوْمٍ ذِي غَيْمٍ ، فَقَالَ : بَكِّرُوا بِالصَّلَاةِ ، فَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " مَنْ تَرَكَ صَلَاةَ الْعَصْرِ ، فَقَدْ حَبِطَ عَمَلُهُ " .
´It was narrated that Abu Qilabah said:` "Abu Al-Malih narrated to me: 'We were with Buraidah on a cloudy day and he said: "Pray early, for the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'Whoever abandons Salat Al-'Asr, his good deeds will perish.'"
Hadith 478
أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " صَلَّى الظُّهْرَ بِالْمَدِينَةِ أَرْبَعًا ، وَصَلَّى الْعَصْرَ بِذِي الْحُلَيْفَةِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ " .
It was narrated from Anas bin Malik that the Prophet (ﷺ) prayed Zuhr in Al-Madinah, four Rak'ahs, and he prayed 'Asr in Dhul-Hulaifah, two Rak'ahs.
Hadith 628
أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، قال : إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " أَمَرَ بِلَالًا أَنْ يَشْفَعَ الْأَذَانَ وَأَنْ يُوتِرَ الْإِقَامَةَ " .
´It was narrated that Anas said:` "The Messenger of Allah (S.A.W) commanded Bilal to say the phrases of the Adhan twice and the phrases of the Iqamah once."
Hadith 635
أَخْبَرَنَا حَاجِبُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ، عَنْ وَكِيعٍ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ الْحَذَّاءِ ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ ، عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ الْحُوَيْرِثِ ، قال : أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَا وَابْنُ عَمٍّ لِي ، وَقَالَ مَرَّةً أُخْرَى : أَنَا وَصَاحِبٌ لِي ، فَقَالَ : " إِذَا سَافَرْتُمَا فَأَذِّنَا وَأَقِيمَا وَلْيَؤُمَّكُمَا أَكْبَرُكُمَا " .
´It was narrated that Malik bin Al-Huwairith said:` "I came to the Prophet (S.A.W) with a cousin of mine" - on an another occasion he said: "with a companion of mine" - "and he said: 'When the two of you travel, call the Adhan and the Iqamah, and let the older of you lead the prayer.'"
Hadith 636
أَخْبَرَنِي زِيَادُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ ، عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ الْحُوَيْرِثِ ، قال : أَتَيْنَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَنَحْنُ شَبَبَةٌ مُتَقَارِبُونَ ، فَأَقَمْنَا عِنْدَهُ عِشْرِينَ لَيْلَةً ، وَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَحِيمًا رَفِيقًا فَظَنَّ أَنَّا قَدِ اشْتَقْنَا إِلَى أَهْلِنَا ، فَسَأَلَنَا عَمَّنْ تَرَكْنَاهُ مِنْ أَهْلِنَا ، فَأَخْبَرْنَاهُ ، فَقَالَ : " ارْجِعُوا إِلَى أَهْلِيكُمْ فَأَقِيمُوا عِنْدَهُمْ وَعَلِّمُوهُمْ وَمُرُوهُمْ ، إِذَا حَضَرَتِ الصَّلَاةُ فَلْيُؤَذِّنْ لَكُمْ أَحَدُكُمْ وَلْيَؤُمَّكُمْ أَكْبَرُكُمْ " .
´It was narrated that Malik bin Al-Huwairith said:` "We came to the Messenger of Allah (S.A.W) and we were young men close in age. He let us stay with him for twenty days. The Messenger of Allah (S.A.W) was merciful and compassionate, and he thought that we were missing our families; he asked us about those whom we had left behind of our families, so we told him, and he said: 'Go back to your families, stay with them and teach them. Tell them when the time for prayer comes; let one of you call the Adhan and let the oldest of you lead the prayer.'"
Hadith 637
أَخْبَرَنِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ سَلَمَةَ ، فَقَالَ لِي أَبُو قِلَابَةَ : هُوَ حَيٌّ أَفَلَا تَلْقَاهُ ؟ قال أَيُّوبُ : فَلَقِيتُهُ فَسَأَلْتُهُ ، فَقَالَ : لَمَّا كَانَ وَقْعَةُ الْفَتْحِ بَادَرَ كُلُّ قَوْمٍ بِإِسْلَامِهِمْ فَذَهَبَ أَبِي بِإِسْلَامِ أَهْلِ حِوَائِنَا فَلَمَّا قَدِمَ اسْتَقْبَلْنَاهُ ، فَقَالَ : جِئْتُكُمْ وَاللَّهِ مِنْ عِنْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَقًّا ، فَقَالَ : " صَلُّوا صَلَاةَ كَذَا فِي حِينِ كَذَا وَصَلَاةَ كَذَا فِي حِينِ كَذَا ، فَإِذَا حَضَرَتِ الصَّلَاةُ فَلْيُؤَذِّنْ لَكُمْ أَحَدُكُمْ وَلْيَؤُمَّكُمْ أَكْثَرُكُمْ قُرْآنًا " .
´It was narrated from Ayyub, from Abu Qilabah, from 'Amr bin Salamah:` "Abu Qilabah said to me (Ayyub): He ('Amr) is still alive, do you want to meet him?" I met him and asked him, and he said: "When Makkah was conquered, all the people hastened to announce their Islam. My father went to announce the Islam of the poeple of our village, and when he came back we went to see him and he said: 'By Allah, I have indeed come to you from the Messenger of Allah (S.A.W)'. He said: 'Pray such and such a prayer at such and such a time, pray such and such a prayer at such and such a time. When the time for prayer comes let one of you call the Adhan and let the one who knows the most Qur'an lead the prayer.'"
Hadith 670
أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ ، قال : أَنْبَأَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ الْحَذَّاءِ ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ ، عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ الْحُوَيْرِثِ ، قال : قال لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَلِصَاحِبٍ لِي : " إِذَا حَضَرَتِ الصَّلَاةُ ، فَأَذِّنَا ثُمَّ أَقِيمَا ، ثُمَّ لِيَؤُمَّكُمَا أَحَدُكُمَا " .
´It was narrated that Malik bin Al-Huwayrith said:` "The Messenger of Allah (S.A.W) said to me and to a companion of mine: 'When the time for prayer comes, let the two of you call the Adhan then the two of you say Iqamah, then let one of you lead the prayer.'"
Hadith 690
أَخْبَرَنَا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ ، قال : أَنْبَأَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ ، عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " مِنْ أَشْرَاطِ السَّاعَةِ : أَنْ يَتَبَاهَى النَّاسُ فِي الْمَسَاجِدِ " .
´It was narrated from Anas that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:` "One of the portents of the Hour will be that people will show off in building Masjids."
Hadith 782
أَخْبَرَنَا حَاجِبُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ الْمَنْبِجِيُّ ، عَنْ وَكِيعٍ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ الْحَذَّاءِ ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ ، عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ الْحُوَيْرِثِ قال : أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَا وَابْنُ عَمٍّ لِي وَقَالَ مَرَّةً أَنَا وَصَاحِبٌ لِي فَقَالَ : " إِذَا سَافَرْتُمَا فَأَذِّنَا وَأَقِيمَا وَلْيَؤُمَّكُمَا أَكْبَرُكُمَا " .
´It was narrated that Malik bin Al-Huwairith said:` "I came to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) with a cousin of mine" - once he said, "with a friend of mine" - and he said: 'When you travel, call the Adhan and Iqamah, and let the older of you lead the prayer.'"
Hadith 1152
أَخْبَرَنَا زِيَادُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ ، قال : جَاءَنَا أَبُو سُلَيْمَانَ مَالِكُ بْنُ الْحُوَيْرِثِ إِلَى مَسْجِدِنَا فَقَالَ : " أُرِيدُ أَنْ أُرِيَكُمْ كَيْفَ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي قَالَ : فَقَعَدَ فِي الرَّكْعَةِ الْأُولَى حِينَ رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ مِنَ السَّجْدَةِ الْآخِرَةِ " .
´It was narrated that Abi Qibalah said:` "Abu Sulaiman Malik bin Al-Huwairith came to our masjid and said: "I want to show you how I saw the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) pray.'" He said: "He sat during the first Rak'ah when he raised his head from the second prostration."
Hadith 1153
أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ ، قال : أَنْبَأَنَا هُشَيْمٌ ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ ، عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ الْحُوَيْرِثِ ، قال : " رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي فَإِذَا كَانَ فِي وَتْرٍ مِنْ صَلَاتِهِ لَمْ يَنْهَضْ حَتَّى يَسْتَوِيَ جَالِسًا " .
´It was narrated that Malik bin Al-Huwairith said:` "I saw the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) pray, and when he was in an odd-numbered rak'ah, he did not get up until he had settled in a sitting position."
Hadith 1154
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ ، قال : كَانَ مَالِكُ بْنُ الْحُوَيْرِثِ يَأْتِينَا فَيَقُولُ : أَلَا أُحَدِّثُكُمْ عَنْ صَلَاةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " فَيُصَلِّي فِي غَيْرِ وَقْتِ الصَّلَاةِ فَإِذَا رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ مِنَ السَّجْدَةِ الثَّانِيَةِ فِي أَوَّلِ الرَّكْعَةِ اسْتَوَى قَاعِدًا ثُمَّ قَامَ فَاعْتَمَدَ عَلَى الْأَرْضِ " .
´It was narrated that Abu Qibalah said:` "Malik bin Al-Huwairith used to come to us and say: "Shall I not tell you about the prayer of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)?" He was praying at a time other than the time of prayer, and when he raised his head from the second prostration in the first rak'ah, he settled in a seated position, then he stood up, and he supported himself on the ground (while doing so)."
Hadith 1237
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي أَشْعَثُ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ الْحَذَّاءِ ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمُهَلَّبِ ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ ابْنِ حُصَيْنٍ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " صَلَّى بِهِمْ فَسَهَا فَسَجَدَ سَجْدَتَيْنِ ، ثُمَّ سَلَّمَ " .
´It was narrated from Imran bin Husain that:` The Prophet (ﷺ) led them in prayer and forgot (how many rak'ahs he had prayed), then he prostrated twice, then he said the salam.
Hadith 1238
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْأَشْعَثِ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ زُرَيْعٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ الْحَذَّاءُ ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمُهَلَّبِ ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ ، قَالَ : سَلَّمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي ثَلَاثِ رَكَعَاتٍ مِنَ الْعَصْرِ فَدَخَلَ مَنْزِلَهُ , فَقَامَ إِلَيْهِ رَجُلٌ , يُقَالُ لَهُ : الْخِرْبَاقُ , فَقَالَ : يَعْنِي نَقَصَتِ الصَّلَاةُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ , فَخَرَجَ مُغْضَبًا يَجُرُّ رِدَاءَهُ , فَقَالَ : " أَصَدَقَ " , قَالُوا : نَعَمْ , فَقَامَ فَصَلَّى تِلْكَ الرَّكْعَةَ ، ثُمَّ سَلَّمَ ، ثُمَّ سَجَدَ سَجْدَتَيْهَا ، ثُمَّ سَلَّمَ .
´It was narrated that Imran bin Husain said:` "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said the salam after three rak'ahs of 'Asr, then he entered his house. A man called Al-Khibaq stood up and said: 'Has the prayer been shortened, O Messenger of Allah?' He came out angry, dragging his upper garment and said: 'Is he speaking the truth?' They said: 'Yes.' So he stood and prayed that rak'ah, then he said the salam, then prostrated twice, then he said the salam (again)."
Hadith 1332
أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَبِيبِ بْنِ عَرَبِيٍّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمُهَلَّبِ ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " صَلَّى ثَلَاثًا ، ثُمَّ سَلَّمَ فَقَالَ الْخِرْبَاقُ : إِنَّكَ صَلَّيْتَ ثَلَاثًا فَصَلَّى بِهِمُ الرَّكْعَةَ الْبَاقِيَةَ ، ثُمَّ سَلَّمَ ، ثُمَّ سَجَدَ سَجْدَتَيِ السَّهْوِ ، ثُمَّ سَلَّمَ " .
´It was narrated from 'Imran bin Husain that:` The Prophet (ﷺ) prayed three (rak'ahs) then said the taslim. Al-Khirbaq said: "You prayed three." So he led them in praying the remaining rak'ah, then he said the taslim, then he did the two prostrations of forgetfulness, then he said the taslim (again).
Hadith 1486
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ ، عَنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ ، قال : " انْكَسَفَتِ الشَّمْسُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَخَرَجَ يَجُرُّ ثَوْبَهُ فَزِعًا حَتَّى أَتَى الْمَسْجِدَ ، فَلَمْ يَزَلْ يُصَلِّي بِنَا حَتَّى انْجَلَتْ ، فَلَمَّا انْجَلَتْ , قَالَ : " إِنَّ نَاسًا يَزْعُمُونَ أَنَّ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ لَا يَنْكَسِفَانِ إِلَّا لِمَوْتِ عَظِيمٍ مِنَ الْعُظَمَاءِ وَلَيْسَ كَذَلِكَ ، إِنَّ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ لَا يَنْكَسِفَانِ لِمَوْتِ أَحَدٍ وَلَا لِحَيَاتِهِ وَلَكِنَّهُمَا آيَتَانِ مِنْ آيَاتِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ ، إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ إِذَا بَدَا لِشَيْءٍ مِنْ خَلْقِهِ خَشَعَ لَهُ ، فَإِذَا رَأَيْتُمْ ذَلِكَ فَصَلُّوا كَأَحْدَثِ صَلَاةٍ صَلَّيْتُمُوهَا مِنَ الْمَكْتُوبَةِ " .
´It was narrated that An-Nu'man bin Bashir said:` "The sun eclipsed during the time of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and he rushed out, dragging his cloak until he came to the masjid. He continued leading us in prayer until the eclipse ended. When it ended, he said: 'People claim that the eclipse of the sun and moon only happen when a great man dies, but that is not so. Eclipses of the sun and the moon do not happen for the death or birth of anyone, but they are signs from Allah (SWT), the Mighty and Sublime. When Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, manifests Himself to anything of His creation, it humbles itself before Him, so if you see that then pray like the last obligatory prayer you did before that.'"
Hadith 1487
وأَخْبَرَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَاصِمٍ ، أَنَّ جَدَّهُ عُبَيْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ الْوَازِعِ حَدَّثَهُ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ السَّخْتِيَانِيُّ ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ ، عَنْ قَبِيصَةَ بْنِ مُخَارِقٍ الْهِلَالِيِّ ، قال : " كَسَفَتِ الشَّمْسُ وَنَحْنُ إِذْ ذَاكَ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِالْمَدِينَةِ ، فَخَرَجَ فَزِعًا يَجُرُّ ثَوْبَهُ ، فَصَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ أَطَالَهُمَا فَوَافَقَ انْصِرَافُهُ انْجِلَاءَ الشَّمْسِ فَحَمِدَ اللَّهَ وَأَثْنَى عَلَيْهِ , ثُمَّ قَالَ : " إِنَّ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ آيَتَانِ مِنْ آيَاتِ اللَّهِ وَإِنَّهُمَا لَا يَنْكَسِفَانِ لِمَوْتِ أَحَدٍ وَلَا لِحَيَاتِهِ ، فَإِذَا رَأَيْتُمْ مِنْ ذَلِكَ شَيْئًا فَصَلُّوا كَأَحْدَثِ صَلَاةٍ مَكْتُوبَةٍ صَلَّيْتُمُوهَا " .
´It was narrated that Qabisah bin Mukhariq Al-Hilali said:` "There was an eclipse of the sun and at the time we were with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) in Al-Madinah. He rushed out dragging his garment and prayed two rak'ahs, which he made lengthy. The end of his prayer coincided with the end of the eclipse. He praised and glorified Allah (SWT), then he said: 'The sun and the moon are two of the signs of Allah (SWT), and they do not become eclipsed for the death or birth of anyone. If you see anything of that, then pray like the last obligatory prayer you did before that.'"
Hadith 1488
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذٌ وَهُوَ ابْنُ هِشَامٍ ، قال : حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ ، عَنْ قَبِيصَةَ الْهِلَالِيِّ , " أَنَّ الشَّمْسَ انْخَسَفَتْ فَصَلَّى نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ حَتَّى انْجَلَتْ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : " إِنَّ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ لَا يَنْخَسِفَانِ لِمَوْتِ أَحَدٍ وَلَكِنَّهُمَا خَلْقَانِ مِنْ خَلْقِهِ ، وَإِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ يُحْدِثُ فِي خَلْقِهِ مَا شَاءَ ، وَإِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ إِذَا تَجَلَّى لِشَيْءٍ مِنْ خَلْقِهِ يَخْشَعُ لَهُ ، فَأَيُّهُمَا حَدَثَ فَصَلُّوا حَتَّى يَنْجَلِيَ أَوْ يُحْدِثَ اللَّهُ أَمْرًا " .
´It was narrated from Qabisah Al-Hilali:` That there was an eclipse of the sun and the Prophet of Allah (ﷺ) prayed two rak'ahs until it ended. Then he said: "The sun and the moon do not become eclipsed for the death of anyone, but they are two of His creations. Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, causes whatever He wants to happen in His creation. If Allah (SWT), the Mighty and Sublime, manifests Himself to any of His creation, it humbles itself before Him, so if either of them (solar or lunar eclipse) happens, pray until it is over or until Allah causes something to happen."
Hadith 1489
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ، عَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ هِشَامٍ ، قال : حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ ، عَنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " إِذَا خَسَفَتِ الشَّمْسُ وَالْقَمَرُ فَصَلُّوا كَأَحْدَثِ صَلَاةٍ صَلَّيْتُمُوهَا " .
´It was narrated from An-Nu'man bin Bashir that :` The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "If there is an eclipse of the sun or the moon, pray like the last obligatory prayer you did before that."
Hadith 1490
أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ الْأَحْوَلِ ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ ، عَنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ ، " أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَّى حِينَ انْكَسَفَتِ الشَّمْسُ مِثْلَ صَلَاتِنَا يَرْكَعُ وَيَسْجُدُ " .
´It was narrated from An-Nu'man bin Bashir that:` The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) prayed when there was an eclipse of the sun like our prayer, bowing and prostrating.
Hadith 1897
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، قال : أَنْبَأَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، قال : سَمِعْتُ سَعِيدَ بْنَ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمُهَلَّبِ ، عَنْ سَمُرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " الْبَسُوا مِنْ ثِيَابِكُمُ الْبَيَاضَ فَإِنَّهَا أَطْهَرُ وَأَطْيَبُ وَكَفِّنُوا فِيهَا مَوْتَاكُمْ " .
´It was narrated that Ibn Juraij sad:` "Abu Az-Zubair told me that he heard Jabir say: "The Messenger of Allah delivered a speech and mentioned a man among his Companions who had died. He had been buried at night and wrapped in a shroud that was not sufficient. The Messenger of Allah reduced (them) and said that no one should be buried at night unless constrained to do that. And the Messenger of Allah said: When one of you wants to takes care of his brother, let him shroud him well."'
Hadith 1948
أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ ، وَعَمْرُو بْنُ زُرَارَةَ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ , قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمُهَلَّبِ ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ ، قال : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ أَخَاكُمْ قَدْ مَاتَ فَقُومُوا فَصَلُّوا عَلَيْهِ " .
´It was narrated that 'Imran bin Husain said:` "The Messenger of Allah said: 'Your brother has died, so get up and pray for him."'
Hadith 1959
أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ , عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمُهَلَّبِ ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ ، أَنَّ امْرَأَةً مِنْ جُهَيْنَةَ أَتَتْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , فَقَالَتْ : إِنِّي زَنَيْتُ ، وَهِيَ حُبْلَى فَدَفَعَهَا إِلَى وَلِيِّهَا ، فَقَالَ : " أَحْسِنْ إِلَيْهَا ، فَإِذَا وَضَعَتْ فَأْتِنِي بِهَا " , فَلَمَّا وَضَعَتْ جَاءَ بِهَا ، فَأَمَرَ بِهَا فَشُكَّتْ عَلَيْهَا ثِيَابُهَا ثُمَّ رَجَمَهَا ثُمَّ صَلَّى عَلَيْهَا , فَقَالَ لَهُ عُمَرُ : أَتُصَلِّي عَلَيْهَا وَقَدْ زَنَتْ ؟ فَقَالَ : " لَقَدْ تَابَتْ تَوْبَةً لَوْ قُسِمَتْ بَيْنَ سَبْعِينَ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ لَوَسِعَتْهُمْ ، وَهَلْ وَجَدْتَ تَوْبَةً أَفْضَلَ مِنْ أَنْ جَادَتْ بِنَفْسِهَا لِلَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ " .
´It was narrated from "Imran bin Husain that:` a woman from Juhainah came to the Messenger of Allah sand said: "I have committed Zina." And she was committed Zina." And She was pregnant. He handed her over to her guardian and said: "Look after her, and when she gave birth, he brought her to him. He ordered that her garment be wrapped around her, then he offered the funeral prayer for her. 'Umar said to him: "Are you praying for her even though she committed Zina?" he said: "She has repented in a manner that, if it were to be shared among seventy of the people of Al-Madinah it would suffice them. Have you ever seen repentance better than the one who sacrificed herself for the sake of Allah, the Mighty and Sublime?"
Hadith 1993
أَخْبَرَنَا سُوَيْدٌ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ سَلَّامِ بْنِ أَبِي مُطِيعٍ الدِّمَشْقِيِّ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ رَضِيعِ عَائِشَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مَا مِنْ مَيِّتٍ يُصَلِّي عَلَيْهِ أُمَّةٌ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ يَبْلُغُونَ أَنْ يَكُونُوا مِائَةً يَشْفَعُونَ إِلَّا شُفِّعُوا فِيهِ " , قَالَ سَلَّامٌ : فَحَدَّثْتُ بِهِ شُعَيْبَ بْنَ الْحَبْحَابِ , فَقَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي بِهِ أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ .
´It was narrated from 'Aishah that the Prophet said:` "There is no deceased person for whom a group of Muslims whose number reaches one hundred, offers the funeral prayer, interceding for him; but their intercession for him will be accepted." (One of the narrators) Sallam said: "I narrated it to Shu'aib bin Al-Habhab and he said: 'Anas bin Malik narrated it to me from the Prophet.'"
Hadith 1994
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ زُرَارَةَ ، قال : أَنْبَأَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ رَضِيعٍ لِعَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " لَا يَمُوتُ أَحَدٌ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ فَيُصَلِّي عَلَيْهِ أُمَّةٌ مِنَ النَّاسِ فَيَبْلُغُوا أَنْ يَكُونُوا مِائَةً فَيَشْفَعُوا إِلَّا شُفِّعُوا فِيهِ " .
´It was narrated from 'Aishah that the Prophet said:` "No Muslim dies and a group of people whose number reaches one hundred offers the funeral prayer for him, interceding fro him, but their intercession for him will be accepted."
Hadith 2108
أَخْبَرَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ هِلَالٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَتَاكُمْ رَمَضَانُ شَهْرٌ مُبَارَكٌ ، فَرَضَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ عَلَيْكُمْ صِيَامَهُ ، تُفْتَحُ فِيهِ أَبْوَابُ السَّمَاءِ ، وَتُغْلَقُ فِيهِ أَبْوَابُ الْجَحِيمِ ، وَتُغَلُّ فِيهِ مَرَدَةُ الشَّيَاطِينِ لِلَّهِ ، فِيهِ لَيْلَةٌ خَيْرٌ مِنْ أَلْفِ شَهْرٍ ، مَنْ حُرِمَ خَيْرَهَا فَقَدْ حُرِمَ " .
´It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said:` "The Messenger of Allah said: 'There has come to you Ramadan, a blessed month, which Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, has enjoined you to fast. In it the gates of heavens are opened and the gates of Hell are closed, and every devil is chained up. In it Allah has a night which is better than a thousand months; whoever is deprived of its goodness is indeed deprived."'
Hadith 2270
أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ عُثْمَانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ ، عَنِ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو قِلَابَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي جَعْفَرُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ الضَّمْرِيُّ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : قَدِمْتُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَلَا تَنْتَظِرُ الْغَدَاءَ يَا أَبَا أُمَيَّةَ " , قُلْتُ : إِنِّي صَائِمٌ , فَقَالَ : " تَعَالَ أُخْبِرْكَ عَنِ الْمُسَافِرِ ، إِنَّ اللَّهَ وَضَعَ عَنْهُ الصِّيَامَ ، وَنِصْفَ الصَّلَاةِ " .
´Jafar bin 'Amr bin Umayyah Ad-Damri narrated that his father said:` "I came to the Messenger of Allah and the Messenger of Allah said to me: 'Stay and have a meal for breakfast, O Abu Umayyah.' I said: I am fasting.' He said: 'Come and I will tell you about the traveler. Allah has waived meaning the fasting and half the prayer for him."'
Hadith 2271
أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ ، قَالَ : أَنْبَأَنَا أَبُو الْمُغِيرَةِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمُهَاجِرِ ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَيَّةَ الضَّمْرِيِّ ، قَالَ : قَدِمْتُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ سَفَرٍ فَسَلَّمْتُ عَلَيْهِ ، فَلَمَّا ذَهَبْتُ لِأَخْرُجَ , قَالَ : " انْتَظِرِ الْغَدَاءَ يَا أَبَا أُمَيَّةَ " ، قُلْتُ : إِنِّي صَائِمٌ يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ ! قَالَ : " تَعَالَ أُخْبِرْكَ عَنِ الْمُسَافِرِ ، إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى وَضَعَ عَنْهُ الصِّيَامَ ، وَنِصْفَ الصَّلَاةِ " ,
´It was narrated that Abu Umayyah Ad-Damri said:` "I came to the Messenger of Allah from a journey and greeted him with Salam. When I was going to leave he said: 'Stay and have meal for breakfast, O Abu Umayyah.' I said: 'I am fasting, O Prophet of Allah.' He said: 'Come and I will tell about the traveler. Allah, most high, has waived fasting and of the prayer for him."'
Hadith 2272
أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ مَرْوَانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ ، عَنِ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو قِلَابَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الْمُهَاجِرِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو أُمَيَّةَ يَعْنِي الضَّمْرِيَّ ، أَنَّهُ قَدِمَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ .
´Abu Umayyah Ad-Damri narrated:` That he came to Prophet, and he mentioned something similar.
Hadith 2273
أَخْبَرَنِي شُعَيْبُ بْنُ شُعَيْبِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعَيْبٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو قِلَابَةَ الْجَرْمِيُّ ، أَنَّ أَبَا أُمَيَّةَ الضَّمْرِيَّ حَدَّثَهُمْ , أَنَّهُ قَدِمَ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ سَفَرٍ ، فَقَالَ : " انْتَظِرِ الْغَدَاءَ يَا أَبَا أُمَيَّةَ " . قُلْتُ : إِنِّي صَائِمٌ , قَالَ : " ادْنُ أُخْبِرْكَ عَنِ الْمُسَافِرِ ، إِنَّ اللَّهَ وَضَعَ عَنْهُ الصِّيَامَ ، وَنِصْفَ الصَّلَاةِ " .
´Abu Qilabah AL-Jarmi narrated that Abu Umayyah Ad-Damri told them that:` he came to the Messenger of Allah from a journey and he said: "Come and have a meal for breakfast, O Abu Umayyah." I said: 'I am fasting; He said: 'Come close and I will tell you about the traveler. Allah, most high, has waived fasting and half of the prayer for him."'
Hadith 2274
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْحَرَّانِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ ، أَنَّ أَبَا أُمَيَّةَ الضَّمْرِيَّ أَخْبَرَهُ , أَنَّهُ أَتَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ سَفَرٍ وَهُوَ صَائِمٌ ، فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَلَا تَنْتَظِرِ الْغَدَاءَ " , قَالَ : إِنِّي صَائِمٌ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " تَعَالَ أُخْبِرْكَ عَنِ الصِّيَامِ ، إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَضَعَ عَنِ الْمُسَافِرِ الصِّيَامَ ، وَنِصْفَ الصَّلَاةِ " .
´It was narrated from Abu Qilabah that Abu Umayyah Ad-Damri told him that:` he came to the Messenger of Allah from a journey and he was fasting. The Messenger of Allah said to him, "Won't you come and have meal for the breakfast?" He said: "I am fasting." The Messenger of Allah said: "Come and I will tell you about fasting. Allah, the mighty and sublime, has waived fasting and half of the prayer from the traveler."
Hadith 2275
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : أَنْبَأَنَا عَلِيٌّ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ ، أَنَّ أَبَا أُمَيَّةَ أَخْبَرَهُ , أَنَّهُ أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ سَفَرٍ نَحْوَهُ .
´It was narrated from Abu Oilabah, from a man, that Abu Umayyah told him:` That he came to the Prophet from a journey, and he narrated something similar.
Hadith 2276
أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ التَّلِّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ الثَّوْرِيُّ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ وَضَعَ عَنِ الْمُسَافِرِ نِصْفَ الصَّلَاةِ ، وَالصَّوْمَ وَعَنِ الْحُبْلَى وَالْمُرْضِعِ " .
´It was narrated from Anas that the Prophet said:` "Allah has waived meaning half of the prayer and fasting for the traveler, and from pregnant women and the sick. "(Hanas)
Hadith 2278
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ابْنُ عُلَيَّةَ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو قِلَابَةَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ ، ثُمّ قَالَ : هَلْ لَكَ فِي صَاحِبِ الْحَدِيثِ , فَدَلَّنِي عَلَيْهِ فَلَقِيتُهُ , فَقَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي قَرِيبٌ لِي , يُقَالُ لَهُ : أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي إِبِلٍ كَانَتْ لِي أُخِذَتْ فَوَافَقْتُهُ وَهُوَ يَأْكُلُ فَدَعَانِي إِلَى طَعَامِهِ , فَقُلْتُ : إِنِّي صَائِمٌ ، فَقَالَ : " ادْنُ أُخْبِرْكَ عَنْ ذَلِكَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ وَضَعَ عَنِ الْمُسَافِرِ الصَّوْمَ وَشَطْرَ الصَّلَاةِ " .
´It was narrated that Ayyub said:` "Abu Qilabah narrated this Hadith to us, then he said: 'Do you want to meet the one who narrated this Hadith?' He directed me to him and I met him and he said: 'A relative of mine who was called to the Messenger of Allah concerning some camels of mine that had been taken away. When I saw him he was eating, and he called me to eat with him, but I said: 'I saw him he was eating, and he called me to eat with him, but I said: I am fasting.' He said: 'Come close and I will tell you but that. Allah has waived fasting and half of the prayer for the traveler."
Hadith 2279
أَخْبَرَنَا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ ، قَالَ : أَنْبَأَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ الْحَذَّاءِ ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ ، قَالَ : أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِحَاجَةٍ فَإِذَا هُوَ يَتَغَدَّى , قَالَ : " هَلُمَّ إِلَى الْغَدَاءِ " , فَقُلْتُ : إِنِّي صَائِمٌ , قَالَ : " هَلُمَّ أُخْبِرْكَ عَنِ الصَّوْمِ ، إِنَّ اللَّهَ وَضَعَ عَنِ الْمُسَافِرِ نِصْفَ الصَّلَاةِ وَالصَّوْمَ وَرَخَّصَ لِلْحُبْلَى وَالْمُرْضِعِ " .
´It was narrated from Abu Qilabah that a man said:` "I came to the Prophet to discuss something and he was eating breakfast. He said: 'Come and eat.' I said: 'I am fasting.' He said: 'Come and I will tell you about fasting. Allah has waived half of prayer and fasting from the traveler, and he has granted a concession to pregnant women and the sick."'
Hadith 2284
أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : أَنْبَأَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ ، عَنْ مُوسَى هُوَ ابْنُ أَبِي عَائِشَةَ ، عَنْ غَيْلَانَ ، قَالَ : خَرَجْتُ مَعَ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ فِي سَفَرٍ فَقَرَّبَ طَعَامًا ، فَقُلْتُ : إِنِّي صَائِمٌ ، فَقَالَ : إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَرَجَ فِي سَفَرٍ فَقَرَّبَ طَعَامًا , فَقَالَ لِرَجُلٍ : " ادْنُ فَاطْعَمْ " , قَالَ : إِنِّي صَائِمٌ , قَالَ : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ وَضَعَ عَنِ الْمُسَافِرِ نِصْفَ الصَّلَاةِ وَالصِّيَامَ فِي السَّفَرِ فَادْنُ فَاطْعَمْ " , فَدَنَوْتُ فَطَعِمْتُ .
´It was narrated that Ghalian said:` "I went out with Abu Qilabah on a journey and he brought some food. I said: 'I am fasting.' He said: 'The Messenger of Allah went out on a journey and brought some food, and said to a man: Come and eat. He said: I am fasting. He said: Allah has waived for the traveler half of the prayer and fasting when traveling, so come and eat. So I came close and ate."'
Hadith 2404
أَخْبَرَنَا زَكَرِيَّاءُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ بَقِيَّةَ ، قَالَ : أَنْبَأَنَا خَالِدٌ ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ وَهُوَ الْحَذَّاءُ ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمَلِيحِ ، قَالَ : دَخَلْتُ مَعَ أَبِيكَ زَيْدٍ عَلَى عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو فَحَدَّثَ , أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ذُكِرَ لَهُ صَوْمِي فَدَخَلَ عَلَيَّ ، فَأَلْقَيْتُ لَهُ وِسَادَةَ أَدَمٍ رَبْعَةً حَشْوُهَا لِيفٌ ، فَجَلَسَ عَلَى الْأَرْضِ وَصَارَتِ الْوِسَادَةُ فِيمَا بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَهُ , قَالَ : " أَمَا يَكْفِيكَ مِنْ كُلِّ شَهْرٍ ثَلَاثَةُ أَيَّامٍ " , قُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ! قَالَ : " خَمْسًا " , قُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ! قَالَ : " سَبْعًا " , قُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ! قَالَ : " تِسْعًا " , قُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ! قَالَ : " إِحْدَى عَشْرَةَ " , قُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ! فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا صَوْمَ فَوْقَ صَوْمِ دَاوُدَ شَطْرَ الدَّهْرِ ، صِيَامُ يَوْمٍ وَفِطْرُ يَوْمٍ " .
´It was narrated that Ibn Al-Malih said:` "I entered with Zaid upon 'Abdullah bin Amr and he narrated: 'The Messenger of Allah was told about my fasting, so the entered upon me and I gave him an average-sized leather pillow that was stuffed with palm fibvers. He sat in the ground with the pillow between myself and him, and said: "Whill it not be sufficient for you to fast three days each months?" I said: O Messenger of Allah! He said: "O Messenger of Allah!" He said: "Eleven." I said: "O Messenger of Allah!" Then the Prophet said: "There is not fast better than the fast of Dawud, half of a lifetime, fasting one day and not next."
