Hadith 1322
حدثنا
يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : قَرَأْتُ عَلَى
مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ
أَبِي الزِّنَادِ ، عَنِ
الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ
أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ : " أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَأَى رَجُلًا يَسُوقُ بَدَنَةً ، فقَالَ : ارْكَبْهَا ، قَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ ، فقَالَ : ارْكَبْهَا وَيْلَكَ فِي الثَّانِيَةِ ، أَوْ فِي الثَّالِثَةِ " ،
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) saw a person who was driving a sacrificial camel (and told him to ride on it. Thereupon he said: Messenger of Allah, it is a sacrificial camel. He told him again to ride on it; (when he received the same reply) he said: Woe to you, (he uttered these words on the second or the third reply).
Hadith 1322
This hadith has been narrated by A'raj with the same chain of transmitters (and the words are): "Whereas the person was driving a sacrificial camel which was garlanded."
Hadith 1408
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported Allah's Messenger (may peace upon him) having said this: One should not combine a woman and her father's sister, nor a woman and her mother's sister in marriage.
Hadith 1416
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) prohibited Shighar. Ibn Numair added: Shighar means that a person should say to the other person: Give me the hand of your daughter in marriage and I will (in return) marry my daughter to you; or marry me your sister, and I will marry my sister to you.

أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ الْمَرْأَةَ خُلِقَتْ مِنْ ضِلَعٍ لَنْ تَسْتَقِيمَ لَكَ عَلَى طَرِيقَةٍ ، فَإِنِ اسْتَمْتَعْتَ بِهَا اسْتَمْتَعْتَ بِهَا وَبِهَا عِوَجٌ ، وَإِنْ ذَهَبْتَ تُقِيمُهَا كَسَرْتَهَا ، وَكَسْرُهَا طَلَاقُهَا " .
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported: Woman has been created from a rib and will in no way be straightened for you; so if you wish to benefit by her, benefit by her while crookedness remains in her. And if you attempt to straighten her, you will break her, and breaking her is divorcing her.
Hadith 1497
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported that Sa'd bin 'Ubadah al-Ansari said: Messenger of Allah, tell me if a man finds his wife with another person, should he kill him? Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: No. Sa'd said: Why not? I swear by Him Who has honoured you with Truth. There upon Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: Listen to what your chief says.

Hadith 1513
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) forbade a transaction determined by throwing stones, and the type which involves some uncertainty.

أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " لَا يُتَلَقَّى الرُّكْبَانُ لِبَيْعٍ ، وَلَا يَبِعْ بَعْضُكُمْ عَلَى بَيْعِ بَعْضٍ ، وَلَا تَنَاجَشُوا ، وَلَا يَبِعْ حَاضِرٌ لِبَادٍ ، وَلَا تُصَرُّوا الْإِبِلَ وَالْغَنَمَ ، فَمَنِ ابْتَاعَهَا بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ ، فَهُوَ بِخَيْرِ النَّظَرَيْنِ بَعْدَ أَنْ يَحْلُبَهَا ، فَإِنْ رَضِيَهَا أَمْسَكَهَا وَإِنْ سَخِطَهَا رَدَّهَا وَصَاعًا مِنْ تَمْرٍ " .
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported Allah's Messenger (may peace'be upon him) as saying: Do not go out to meet riders to enter into transaction with them; none of you must buy in opposition to another, nor must you bid against one another; a townsman must not sell for a man from the desert, and do not tie up udders of carnels and sheep, and he who buys them after that has been done has two courses open to him: after he has milked them he may keep them if he is pleased with them, or he may return them along with a sit of dates if he is displeased with them.
Hadith 1564
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: Delay (in the payment of debt) on the part of a rich man is injustice, and when one of you is retired to a rich man, he should follow him.
Hadith 1566
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: Excess water must not be withheld so that the growth of herbage may be hindered.

أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ ، إِنْ عَلَى الْأَرْضِ مِنْ مُؤْمِنٍ إِلَّا أَنَا أَوْلَى النَّاسِ بِهِ ، فَأَيُّكُمْ مَا تَرَكَ دَيْنًا أَوْ ضَيَاعًا ، فَأَنَا مَوْلَاهُ وَأَيُّكُمْ تَرَكَ مَالًا ، فَإِلَى الْعَصَبَةِ مَنْ كَانَ " .
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) having said this: By Him in Whose Hand is the life of Muhammad, there is no believer on the earth with whom I am not the nearest among all the people. He who amongst you (dies) and leaves a debt, I am there to pay it, and he who amongst you (dies) leaving behind children I am there to look after them. And he who amongst you leaves behind property, that is for the inheritor whoever he is.

أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " قَالَ سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ : لَأَطُوفَنَّ اللَّيْلَةَ عَلَى تِسْعِينَ امْرَأَةً كُلُّهَا تَأْتِي بِفَارِسٍ يُقَاتِلُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ، فَقَالَ لَهُ صَاحِبُهُ : قُلْ إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ ، فَلَمْ يَقُلْ إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ ، فَطَافَ عَلَيْهِنَّ جَمِيعًا فَلَمْ تَحْمِلْ مِنْهُنَّ إِلَّا امْرَأَةٌ وَاحِدَةٌ ، فَجَاءَتْ بِشِقِّ رَجُلٍ ، وَايْمُ الَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ لَوَ قَالَ : إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ لَجَاهَدُوا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ فُرْسَانًا أَجْمَعُونَ " ،
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) as saying that Sulaiman bin Dawud (once) said: I will go round in the night to my ninety wives, and every one of them will give birth to a child (who will grow up) as a horseman and fight in the cause of Allah His companions said to him: Say "Insha' Allah." but he did not say Insha' Allah. He went round all of them but none of them became pregnant but one, and she gave birth to a premature child. And by Him in Whose hand is the life of Muhammad, if he had said Insha' Allah (his wives would have given birth to the children who would all have grown up into horsemen and fought in the way of Allah).
Hadith 1654
This hadith has been narrated on the authority of Abu Zinad with the same chain of transmitters with a variation of (these words): "Every one of them giving birth to a child, who would have fought in the cause of Allah."

أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " بَيْنَمَا امْرَأَتَانِ مَعَهُمَا ابْنَاهُمَا جَاءَ الذِّئْبُ ، فَذَهَبَ بِابْنِ إِحْدَاهُمَا ، فَقَالَتْ هَذِهِ لِصَاحِبَتِهَا : إِنَّمَا ذَهَبَ بِابْنِكِ أَنْتِ ، وَقَالَتِ الْأُخْرَى : إِنَّمَا ذَهَبَ بِابْنِكِ ، فَتَحَاكَمَتَا إِلَى دَاوُدَ فَقَضَى بِهِ لِلْكُبْرَى ، فَخَرَجَتَا عَلَى سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ دَاوُدَ عَلَيْهِمَا السَّلَام ، فَأَخْبَرَتَاهُ فَقَالَ : ائْتُونِي بِالسِّكِّينِ أَشُقُّهُ بَيْنَكُمَا ، فَقَالَتِ الصُّغْرَى : لَا يَرْحَمُكَ اللَّهُ هُوَ ابْنُهَا فَقَضَى بِهِ لِلصُّغْرَى " ، قَالَ : قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ : " وَاللَّهِ إِنْ سَمِعْتُ بِالسِّكِّينِ قَطُّ إِلَّا يَوْمَئِذٍ مَا كُنَّا نَقُولُ إِلَّا الْمُدْيَةَ " ،
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) as saying: While two women had been going along with their two sons, a wolf came and made away with the child of one of them. One of them said to her companion: It is with your child that it (the wolf) has run away. The other one said: It has run away with your child. They brought the matter to (Hadrat) Dawud ؑ (David) for decision and he made a decision in favour of the elder one. They then went to Sulaiman bin Dawud (may there be peace upon both of them) and told them (the story). He said: Bring me a knife so that I may cut him (the child) (into two parts) for you. The younger one said: No, it can't be, may Allah have mercy upon you, he (the child) belongs to her (the elder). So he gave a decision in favour of the younger one. Abu Hurairah (RA) said: If ever I heard of the word as-sikin at all, it was that day. We called it by no other name but al-Mudya.

Hadith 1818
It has been narrarted on the authority of Abu Hurairah (RA) that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: People are subservient to the Quraish: the Muslims among them being subservient to the Muslims among them, and the disbelievers among the people being subservient to the disbelievers among them.
Hadith 1832
It has been narrated on the authority of Abu Humaid as-Sa'idi that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) appointed a man in charge of Sadaqa (authorising him to receive charity from the people on behalf of the State). He came (back to the Holy prophet) with a large number of things and started saying: This is for you and this has been presented to me as a gift. Here follows the tradition that has gone before except that 'Urwa (one of the narrators in the chain of transmitters) asked Abu Humaid: Did you hear it from the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) (himself) (ﷺ) ? He replied: My ears heard it from his mouth.
Hadith 1835
It has been narrated on the authority of Abu Hurairah (RA) that the Holy prophet (ﷺ) said: Whoso obeys me obeys God, and whoso disobeys me disobeys God. Whoso obeys the commander (appointed by me) obeys me, and whoso disobeys the commander disobeys me.

أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " إِنَّمَا الْإِمَامُ جُنَّةٌ يُقَاتَلُ مِنْ وَرَائِهِ وَيُتَّقَى بِهِ ، فَإِنْ أَمَرَ بِتَقْوَى اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ ، وَعَدَلَ كَانَ لَهُ بِذَلِكَ أَجْرٌ ، وَإِنْ يَأْمُرْ بِغَيْرِهِ كَانَ عَلَيْهِ مِنْهُ " .
It has been narrated on the authority of Abu Hurairah (RA) that the Prophet (ﷺ) of Allah (ﷺ) said: A commander (of the Muslims) is a shield for them. They fight behind him and they are protected by (him from tyrants and aggressors). If he enjoins fear of God, the Exalted and Glorious, and dispenses justice, there will be a (great) reward for him; and if he enjoins otherwise, it redounds on him.
Hadith 1876
It has been narrated on the authority of Abu Hurairah (RA) who said: Allah has undertaken to provide for one who leaves his home (only) to fight for His cause and to affirm the truth of His word; Allah will either admit him to Paradise or will bring him back home from where he had come out, with his reward and booty.

It has been narrated on the authority of Abu Hurairah (RA) that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: One who is wounded in the way of Allah-and Allah knows better who is wounded in His way-will appear on the Day of Judgment with his wound bleediing. The colour (of its discharge) will be the colour of blood, (but) its smell will be the smell of musk.

أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : لَوْلَا أَنْ أَشُقَّ عَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ مَا قَعَدْتُ خِلَافَ سَرِيَّةٍ ، بِمِثْلِ حَدِيثِهِمْ وَبِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ ، وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لَوَدِدْتُ أَنِّي أُقْتَلُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ، ثُمَّ أُحْيَى بِمِثْلِ حَدِيثِ أَبِي زُرْعَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ،
It has been narrated on the authority of Abu Hurairah (RA) who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: I would not stay behind (when) an expedition (for Jihad was being mobilised) if it were going to be too hard upon the believers.... This is followed by the same words as have appeared in the previous tradition, but this tradition has the same ending as the previous hadith with a slight difference in the wording:" By the Being in Whose Hand is my life, I love that I should be killed in the way of Allah; then I should be brought back to life and be killed again in His way...."

أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " يَضْحَكُ اللَّهُ إِلَى رَجُلَيْنِ يَقْتُلُ أَحَدُهُمَا الْآخَرَ كِلَاهُمَا يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ " ، فَقَالُوا : كَيْفَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ؟ ، قَالَ : " يُقَاتِلُ هَذَا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ ، فَيُسْتَشْهَدُ ثُمَّ يَتُوبُ اللَّهُ عَلَى الْقَاتِلِ ، فَيُسْلِمُ فَيُقَاتِلُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ فَيُسْتَشْهَدُ " .
It has been narrated on the authority of Abu Hurairah (RA) that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: God laughs at the two men both of whom will enter Paradise (though) one of them kills the other. They said: Messenger of Allah, how is it? He said: One of them fights in the way of Allah, the Almighty and Exalted. and dies a martyr. Then God turns in mercy to the murderer who embraces Islam, fights in the way of Allah, the Almighty and Exalted, and dies a martyr.

Abu Hurairah (RA) reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: Food for two persons suffices three persons and food for three persons suffices four persons.

Abu Hurairah (RA) reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: There was a person who walked with pride because of his (fine) mantles and well pleased with his personality. Allah made him sink in the earth and he would go on sinking in that until the Day of Resurrection.

Abu Hurairah (RA) reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: None of you should walk in one sandal; either he should wear the two or should take off the two.

Abu Hurairah (RA) reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: The vilest name in Allah's sight is Malik al-Amidh (King of Kings). The narration transmitted on the authority of Shaiba (contains these words): There is no king but Allah, the Exalted and Glorious. Sufyan said: Similarly, the word Shahinshah (is also the vilest appellation). Ahmad bin Hanbal said: I asked Abu 'Amr about the meaning of Akhna. He said: The vilest.

Abu Hurairah (RA) reported having heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) say: He who peeped into the house of people without their consent, it is permissible for them to put out his eyes.
Hadith 2241
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: An Apostle (ﷺ) from amongst the Apostles of Allah encamped under a tree, and an ant bit him, and he commanded his belongings to be removed from underneath the tree. He then commanded and it was burnt, and Allah revealed to him: "Why was one ant (which had bitten you) not killed?"
Hadith 2246
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: None of you should say: Woe be upon the Time, for verily Allah is the Time.
Hadith 2247
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: None of you should use the word al-Karm (for grape) for the heart of a believer is karm (worthy of respect).
Hadith 2284
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: The similitude of mine and that of my Umma is that of a person who lit fire and there began to fall into it insects and moths. And I am there to hold you back, but you plunge into it.
