Hadith 998
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ، قَالَ : لَمَّا جَاءَ نَعْيُ جَعْفَرٍ ، قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " اصْنَعُوا لِأَهْلِ جَعْفَرٍ طَعَامًا فَإِنَّهُ قَدْ جَاءَهُمْ مَا يَشْغَلُهُمْ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ ، وَقَدْ كَانَ بَعْضُ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ يَسْتَحِبُّ أَنْ يُوَجَّهَ إِلَى أَهْلِ الْمَيِّتِ شَيْءٌ لِشُغْلِهِمْ بِالْمُصِيبَةِ ، وَهُوَ قَوْلُ : الشَّافِعِيِّ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : وَجَعْفَرُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ : هُوَ ابْنُ سَارَةَ وَهُوَ ثِقَةٌ ، رَوَى عَنْهُ ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ .
´Abdullah bin Ja'far said:` "When the news of the death of Ja'far came, the Prophet said: 'Prepare some food for the family of Ja'far, for indeed something has happened to them that will keep them busy.'"
Hadith 1744
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ، قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ ابْنَ أَبِي رَافِعٍ يَتَخَتَّمُ فِي يَمِينِهِ ، فَسَأَلْتُهُ عَنْ ذَلِكَ ، فَقَالَ : رَأَيْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ جَعْفَرٍ يَتَخَتَّمُ فِي يَمِينِهِ ، وَقَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ : " كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَتَخَتَّمُ فِي يَمِينِهِ " ، قَالَ : وقَالَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيل : هَذَا أَصَحُّ شَيْءٍ رُوِيَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي هَذَا الْبَابِ .
Hammad bin Salamah says: I saw Ibn Abi Rafi’ wearing a ring on his right hand, so I asked him about it. He said: I saw Abdullah bin Ja’far (may Allah be pleased with him) wearing a ring on his right hand. Abdullah bin Ja’far (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to wear a ring on his right hand. Muhammad bin Isma’il al-Bukhari says: This is the most authentic narration in this chapter that is reported from the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).
Hadith 1844
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيل بْنُ مُوسَى الْفَزَارِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ، قَالَ : " كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَأْكُلُ الْقِثَّاءَ بِالرُّطَبِ " ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ غَرِيبٌ لَا نَعْرِفُهُ إِلَّا مِنْ حَدِيثِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ سَعِدٍ .
'Abdullah bin Ja'far (may Allah be pleased with him) says that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to eat cucumber with fresh dates. © Imam Tirmidhi says:
1- This hadith is hasan sahih ghareeb,
2- We know it only from the narration of Ibrahim bin Sa'd.

Hadith 3877
حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ إِسْحَاق الْهَمْدَانِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ، قَال : سَمِعْتُ عَلِيَّ بْنَ أَبِي طَالِبٍ يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " خَيْرُ نِسَائِهَا خَدِيجَةُ بِنْتُ خُوَيْلِدٍ ، وَخَيْرُ نِسَائِهَا مَرْيَمُ ابْنَةُ عِمْرَانَ " . وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، وَابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، وَعَائِشَةَ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .
´Narrated 'Ali bin Abi Talib:` that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "The best of its women is Khadijah bint Khuwailid, and the best of its women is Mariam bint 'Imran."
