Hadith 2126
أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ أَبُو الْجَوْزَاءِ وَهُوَ ثِقَةٌ بَصْرِيٌّ أَخُو أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ ، قَالَ : أَنْبَأَنَا حِبَّانُ بْنُ هِلَالٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " صُومُوا لِرُؤْيَتِهِ ، وَأَفْطِرُوا لِرُؤْيَتِهِ ، فَإِنْ غُمَّ عَلَيْكُمْ فَأَكْمِلُوا الْعِدَّةَ ثَلَاثِينَ " .
´It was narrated that Ibn Abbas said:` "The Messenger of Allah said; 'Fast when you see it and stop fasting when you see it, and if it is obscured from you (too cloudy), then complete thirty (days)."'
Hadith 4762
أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ أَبُو الْجَوْزَاءِ ، قَالَ : أَنْبَأَنَا قُرَيْشُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَوْنٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا عَضَّ يَدَ رَجُلٍ , فَانْتَزَعَ يَدَهُ فَسَقَطَتْ ثَنِيَّتُهُ ، أَوْ قَالَ : ثَنَايَاهُ فَاسْتَعْدَى عَلَيْهِ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَا تَأْمُرُنِي ؟ تَأْمُرُنِي أَنْ آمُرَهُ أَنْ يَدَعَ يَدَهُ فِي فِيكَ تَقْضَمُهَا كَمَا يَقْضَمُ الْفَحْلُ ، إِنْ شِئْتَ فَادْفَعْ إِلَيْهِ يَدَكَ حَتَّى يَقْضَمَهَا , ثُمَّ انْتَزِعْهَا إِنْ شِئْتَ " .
´It was narrated from 'Imran bin Hussain that:` a man bit the hand of another man, who pulled his hand away, and the man's front tooth (or from teeth) fell out. He complained about that to the Messenger of Allah, and the Messenger of Allah said: "What do you want? Do you want me to tell him to put his hand in your mouth, so that you can bite it like a stallion bites? Or, do you want to give him your hand so that he may bite it, then you can pull it away if you want?"
Hadith 5205
أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ أَبُو الْجَوْزَاءِ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا قُرَّةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ , عَنْ قَتَادَةَ , عَنْ أَنَسٍ , قَالَ : " أَخَّرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَاةَ الْعِشَاءِ الْآخِرَةِ حَتَّى مَضَى شَطْرُ اللَّيْلِ ثُمَّ خَرَجَ , فَصَلَّى بِنَا كَأَنِّي أَنْظُرُ إِلَى بَيَاضِ خَاتَمِهِ فِي يَدِهِ مِنْ فِضَّةٍ " .
´It was narrated that Anas said:` "The Messenger of Allah [SAW] delayed 'Isha' prayer one night, until half the night had passed, then he came out and led us in prayer. And it is as if I can see the whiteness of his silver ring on his hand."
