Hadith 505
أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا ثَوْرٌ ، حَدَّثَنِي سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، قال : سَأَلَ رَجُلٌ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ مَوَاقِيتِ الصَّلَاةِ ، فَقَالَ : " صَلِّ مَعِي فَصَلَّى الظُّهْرَ حِينَ زَاغَتِ الشَّمْسُ ، وَالْعَصْرَ حِينَ كَانَ فَيْءُ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ مِثْلَهُ ، وَالْمَغْرِبَ حِينَ غَابَتِ الشَّمْسُ ، وَالْعِشَاءَ حِينَ غَابَ الشَّفَقُ ، قَالَ : ثُمَّ صَلَّى الظُّهْرَ حِينَ كَانَ فَيْءُ الْإِنْسَانِ مِثْلَهُ ، وَالْعَصْرَ حِينَ كَانَ فَيْءُ الْإِنْسَانِ مِثْلَيْهِ ، وَالْمَغْرِبَ حِينَ كَانَ قُبَيْلَ غَيْبُوبَةِ الشَّفَقِ ، قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ : ثُمَّ قَالَ : فِي الْعِشَاءِ أُرَى إِلَى ثُلُثِ اللَّيْلِ " .
´It was narrated that Jabir said:` "A man asked the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) about the times of prayer. He said: 'Pray with me.' So he prayed Zuhr when the sun had passsed its zenith, 'Asr when the shadow of a thing was equal to its height, Maghrib when the sun had set and 'Isha' when the twilight had disappeared." He said: "Then he prayed Zuhr when the shadow of a man was equal in length to his height, 'Asr when the length of a man's shadow was twice his height, and Maghrib just before the twilight disappeared." (One of the narrators) 'Abdullah bin Al-Harith said: "then he said: 'With regard to 'Isha' I think it is up to one-third of the night.'" [1] [1] The speaker there is Thawr, who narrated it from 'Ata' from Jabir.
Hadith 984
أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ ، عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ ، عَنْ بُكَيْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْأَشَجِّ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ يَسَارٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قال : " مَا صَلَّيْتُ وَرَاءَ أَحَدٍ أَشْبَهَ صَلَاةً بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ فُلَانٍ فَصَلَّيْنَا وَرَاءَ ذَلِكَ الْإِنْسَانِ وَكَانَ يُطِيلُ الْأُولَيَيْنِ مِنَ الظُّهْرِ وَيُخَفِّفُ فِي الْأُخْرَيَيْنِ وَيُخَفِّفُ فِي الْعَصْرِ وَيَقْرَأُ فِي الْمَغْرِبِ بِقِصَارِ الْمُفَصَّلِ وَيَقْرَأُ فِي الْعِشَاءِ بِالشَّمْسِ وَضُحَاهَا وَأَشْبَاهِهَا وَيَقْرَأُ فِي الصُّبْحِ بِسُورَتَيْنِ طَوِيلَتَيْنِ " .
´It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said:` "I have never prayed behind anyone whose prayer more closely resembled that of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) than so-and-so. We prayed behind that person and he used to make the first two rak'ahs of Zuhr lengthy and the last two shorter, and he would make 'Asr shorter; in Maghrib he would recite the short Mufassal surahs. In Isha' he recited: 'By the sun and its brightness and similar surahs, and in subh he recited two lengthy surahs."
Hadith 2195
أَخْبَرَنَا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : أَنْبَأَنَا إِسْحَاقُ ، قَالَ : أَنْبَأَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ ، عَنْ يُونُسَ الْأَيْلِيِّ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي عُرْوَةُ بْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ ، أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ أَخْبَرَتْهُ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَرَجَ فِي جَوْفِ اللَّيْلِ يُصَلِّي فِي الْمَسْجِدِ ، فَصَلَّى بِالنَّاسِ وَسَاقَ الْحَدِيثَ وَفِيهِ , قَالَتْ : فَكَانَ يُرَغِّبُهُمْ فِي قِيَامِ رَمَضَانَ مِنْ غَيْرِ أَنْ يَأْمُرَهُمْ بِعَزِيمَةٍ ، وَيَقُولُ : " مَنْ قَامَ لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ إِيمَانًا وَاحْتِسَابًا ، غُفِرَ لَهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ " , قَالَ : فَتُوُفِّيَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَالْأَمْرُ عَلَى ذَلِكَ .
´It was narrated that Az-Zuhir said:` "Urwah bin Az-Zubair told me that 'Aishah told him: 'The Messenger of Allah went out in the middle of the night to pray in the Masjid, and he led the people in prayer; and he quoted the same Hadith, in which she said: 'He used to encourage the people to pray Qiyam n Ramadan, without insisting on that.' He said: 'Whoever spends the night of Lailat Al-Qadr in prayer out of faith and in the hope of reward, he will be forgiven his previous sins.' He said: 'And the Messenger of Allah passed away when this was the state of affairs."" '
Hadith 4493
أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاق بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي دَاوُدُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ , عَنْ ابْنِ يَسَارٍ , عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مَنِ اشْتَرَى مُصَرَّاةً فَإِنْ رَضِيَهَا إِذَا حَلَبَهَا فَلْيُمْسِكْهَا , وَإِنْ كَرِهَهَا فَلْيَرُدَّهَا وَمَعَهَا صَاعٌ مِنْ تَمْرٍ " .
´It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah said:` "whoever buys a Musarraha, if he is please with it when he milks it, he may keep it, and if he is not please with it, he may return it, along with a Sa of daters"' (Sahih )
Hadith 5301
أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاق بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قَالَ : أَنْبَأَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ الْمَخْزُومِيُّ ، عَنْ حَنْظَلَةَ بْنِ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يُحَدِّثُ ، أَنَّ عُمَرَ خَرَجَ فَرَأَى حُلَّةَ إِسْتَبْرَقٍ تُبَاعُ فِي السُّوقِ , فَأَتَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ , اشْتَرِهَا فَالْبَسْهَا يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ , وَحِينَ يَقْدَمُ عَلَيْكَ الْوَفْدُ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّمَا يَلْبَسُ هَذَا مَنْ لَا خَلَاقَ لَهُ " ، ثُمَّ أُتِيَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِثَلَاثِ حُلَلٍ مِنْهَا , فَكَسَا عُمَرَ حُلَّةً ، وَكَسَا عَلِيًّا حُلَّةً , وَكَسَا أُسَامَةَ حُلَّةً فَأَتَاهُ ، فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ , قُلْتَ فِيهَا مَا قُلْتَ ثُمَّ بَعَثْتَ إِلَيَّ ، فَقَالَ : " بِعْهَا , وَاقْضِ بِهَا حَاجَتَكَ , أَوْ شَقِّقْهَا خُمُرًا بَيْنَ نِسَائِكَ " .
´Ibn 'Umar narrated that:` 'Umar went out and saw a Hullah of Al-Istabraq being offered for sale in the marketplace. He went to the Messenger of Allah [SAW] and said: "O Messenger of Allah, buy this and wear it on Fridays, and when the delegations come to you." The Messenger of Allah [SAW] said: "This is only worn by the one who has no share (in the Hereafter)." Then three Hullahs (of the same fabric) were brought to the Messenger of Allah [SAW] and he gave one to 'Umar, one to 'Ali and one to Usamah. He ('Umar) came to him and said: "O Messenger of Allah, you said what you said about it, then you sent one to me!" He said: "Sell it and spend the money on your needs, or cut it into pieces for your womenfolk to use as head covers."
