Hadith 52
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلاءِ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ ، وَعَبْدَةُ ، وَأَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ، وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ نُمَيْرٍ ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ . ح وحَدَّثَنَا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُسْهِرٍ ، وَمَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ ، وَحَفْصُ بْنُ مَيْسَرَةَ ، وَشُعَيْبُ بْنُ إِسْحَاق ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَقْبِضُ الْعِلْمَ انْتِزَاعًا يَنْتَزِعُهُ مِنَ النَّاسِ ، وَلَكِنْ يَقْبِضُ الْعِلْمُ بِقَبْضِ الْعُلَمَاءِ ، فَإِذَا لَمْ يُبْقِ عَالِمًا اتَّخَذَ النَّاسُ رُءُوسًا جُهَّالًا ، فَسُئِلُوا فَأَفْتَوْا بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ ، فَضَلُّوا ، وَأَضَلُّوا " .
´It was narrated from 'Abdullah bin 'Amr bin 'As that:` the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'Allah will not take away knowledge by removing it from people (from their hearts). Rather He will take away knowledge by taking away the scholars, then when there are no scholars left, the people will take the ignorant as their leaders. They will be asked questions and they will issue verdicts without knowledge, thus they will go astray and lead others astray.'"
Hadith 79
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الطَّنَافِسِيُّ , قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ ، عَنْ رَبِيعَةَ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ حَبَّانَ ، عَنْ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " الْمُؤْمِنُ الْقَوِيُّ خَيْرٌ وَأَحَبُّ إِلَى اللَّهِ مِنِ الْمُؤْمِنِ الضَّعِيفِ ، وَفِي كُلٍّ خَيْرٌ احْرِصْ عَلَى مَا يَنْفَعُكَ ، وَاسْتَعِنْ بِاللَّهِ ، وَلَا تَعْجَزْ ، فَإِنْ أَصَابَكَ شَيْءٌ ، فَلَا تَقُلْ : لَوْ أَنِّي فَعَلْتُ كَذَا ، وَكَذَا ، وَلَكِنْ قُلْ : قَدَّرَ اللَّهُ ، وَمَا شَاءَ فَعَلَ ، فَإِنَّ لَوْ تَفْتَحُ عَمَلَ الشَّيْطَانِ " .
´It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said:` "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'The strong believer is better and more beloved to Allah than the weak believer, although both are good. Strive for that which will benefit you, seek the help of Allah, and do not feel helpless. If anything befalls you, do not say, "if only I had done such and such" rather say "Qaddara Allahu wa ma sha'a fa'ala (Allah has decreed and whatever he wills, He does)." For (saying) 'If' opens (the door) to the deeds of Satan.'"
Hadith 111
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ حَسَّانَ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنْ كَعْبِ بْنِ عُجْرَةَ ، قَالَ : ذَكَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فِتْنَةً فَقَرَّبَهَا ، فَمَرَّ رَجُلٌ مُقَنَّعٌ رَأْسُهُ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " هَذَا يَوْمَئِذٍ عَلَى الْهُدَى " ، فَوَثَبْتُ ، فَأَخَذْتُ بِضَبْعَيْ عُثْمَانَ ، ثُمَّ اسْتَقْبَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقُلْتُ : هَذَا ؟ قَالَ : " هَذَا " .
´It was narrated that Ka'b bin 'Ujrah said:` "The Messenger of Allah mentioned a Fitnah (tribulation) that had drawn nigh. Then a man passed by with his head covered. The Messenger of Allah said: 'On that day, this man will be following right guidance.' I leapt up and took hold of 'Uthman's arms, then I turned to face the Messenger of Allah and said: 'This man?' He said: 'This man.'"
Hadith 131
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ ، وَخَالِي يَعْلَى ، وَوَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيل ، عَنْ قَيْسٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ سَعْدَ بْنَ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ ، يَقُولُ : " إِنِّي لَأَوَّلُ الْعَرَبِ رَمَى بِسَهْمٍ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ " .
´It was narrated that Qais said:` "I heard Sa'd bin Abu Waqqas say: 'I am the first of the Arabs to shoot an arrow in the cause of Allah.'"
Hadith 139
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ ، عَنْ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذْنُكَ عَلَيَّ أَنْ تَرْفَعَ الْحِجَابَ ، وَأَنْ تَسْمَعَ سِوَادِي حَتَّى أَنْهَاكَ " .
´It was narrated that 'Abdullah said:` "The Messenger of Allah said to me: 'The sign that you have been permitted to come in is that you raise the curtain and that you hear me speaking quietly, until I forbid you.' (i.e. unless I forbid you)."
Hadith 159
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيل بْنِ أَبِي خَالِدٍ ، عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ أَبِي حَازِمٍ ، عَنْ جَرِيرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْبَجَلِيِّ ، قَالَ : مَا حَجَبَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مُنْذُ أَسْلَمْتُ ، وَلَا رَآنِي إِلَّا تَبَسَّمَ فِي وَجْهِي ، وَلَقَدْ شَكَوْتُ إِلَيْهِ أَنِّي لَا أَثْبُتُ عَلَى الْخَيْلِ ، فَضَرَبَ بِيَدِهِ فِي صَدْرِي ، فَقَالَ : " اللَّهُمَّ ثَبِّتْهُ وَاجْعَلْهُ هَادِيًا مَهْدِيًّا " .
´It was narrated that Jarir bin 'Abdullah Al-Bajali said:` "The Messenger of Allah never refused to see me from the time I became Muslim, and whenever he saw me he would smile at me. I complained to him that I could not sit firmly on a horse, so he struck me on the chest with his hand and said: 'O Allah, make him firm and cause him to guide others and be rightly-guided.'"
Hadith 179
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ ، عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ السَّمَّانِ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، قَالَ : قُلْنَا : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَنَرَى رَبَّنَا ؟ قَالَ : " تَضَامُّونَ فِي رُؤْيَةِ الشَّمْسِ فِي الظَّهِيرَةِ فِي غَيْرِ سَحَابٍ " ، قُلْنَا : لَا ، قَالَ : " فَتَضَارُّونَ فِي رُؤْيَةِ الْقَمَرِ لَيْلَةَ الْبَدْرِ فِي غَيْرِ سَحَابٍ " ، قَالُوا : لَا ، قَالَ : " إِنَّكُمْ لَا تَضَارُّونَ فِي رُؤْيَتِهِ إِلَّا كَمَا تَضَارُّونَ فِي رُؤْيَتِهِمَا " .
´It was narrated that Abu Sa'eed said:` "We said: 'O Messenger of Allah! Will we see our Lord?' He said: 'Do you crowd one another to see the sun at mid-day when there are no clouds?' We said: 'No.' He said: 'Do you crowd one another to see the moon on the night when it is full and there are no clouds?' We said: 'No.' He said: 'You will not crowd one another to see Him, just as you do not crowd to see these two things.'"
Hadith 439
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ : أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " مَسَحَ أُذُنَيْهِ دَاخِلَهُمَا بِالسَّبَّابَتَيْنِ ، وَخَالَفَ إِبْهَامَيْهِ إِلَى ظَاهِرِ أُذُنَيْهِ ، فَمَسَحَ ظَاهِرَهُمَا ، وَبَاطِنَهُمَا " .
´It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas that:` The Messenger of Allah wiped his ears, putting his forefingers in his ears and wiping the back of them with his thumbs, so he wiped them inside and out.
Hadith 479
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ مَرْوَانَ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ ، عَنْ بُسْرَةَ بِنْتِ صَفْوَانَ ، قَالَتْ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا مَسَّ أَحَدُكُمْ ذَكَرَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ " .
´It was narrated that Busrah bint Safwan said:` "The Messenger of Allah said: 'If anyone of you touches his penis, let him perform ablution.'"
Hadith 494
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ ، وَأَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى ، عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ ، قَالَ : " سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الْوُضُوءِ مِنْ لُحُومِ الإِبِلِ ؟ فَقَالَ : " تَوَضَّئُوا مِنْهَا " .
´It was narrated that Bara'bin 'Azib said:` "The Messenger of Allah was asked about performing ablution after eating camel meat. He said: 'Perform ablution after eating it.'"
Hadith 810
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ . ح وحَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ الضَّرِيرُ ، حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْمَفَضَّلِ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمُ بْنُ كُلَيْبٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ وَائِلِ بْنِ حُجْرٍ ، قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " يُصَلِّي فَأَخَذَ شِمَالَهُ بِيَمِينِهِ " .
´It was narrated that Wa’il bin Hujr said:` “I saw the Prophet (ﷺ) performing prayer, and he took hold of his left hand with his right.”
Hadith 912
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ كُلَيْبٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ وَائِلِ بْنِ حُجْرٍ ، قَال : " رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَدْ حَلَّقَ الإِبْهَامِ وَالْوُسْطَى ، وَرَفَعَ الَّتِي تَلِيهِمَا يَدْعُو بِهَا فِي التَّشَهُّدِ " .
´It was narrated that Wa’il bin Hujr said:` “I saw the Prophet (ﷺ) making a circle with his thumb and middle finger, and raising the one next to it (the index finger), supplicating with it during the Tashah-hud.”
Hadith 1004
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ ، عَنْ حُصَيْنٍ ، عَنْ هِلَالِ بْنِ يَسَافٍ ، قَالَ : أَخَذَ بِيَدِي زِيَادُ بْنُ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ ، فَأَوْقَفَنِي عَلَى شَيْخٍ بِالرَّقَّةِ يُقَالُ لَهُ : وَابِصَةُ بْنُ مَعْبَدٍ ، فَقَالَ : " صَلَّى رَجُلٌ خَلْفَ الصَّفِّ وَحْدَهُ ، فَأَمَرَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يُعِيدَ " .
´It was narrated that Hilal bin Yasaf said:` “Ziyad bin Abu-Ja’d took me by the hand and made me stand near an old man at Raqqah, whose name was Wabisah bin Ma’bad. He said: ‘A man performed prayer behind the row on his own, and the Prophet (ﷺ) commanded him to repeat the prayer.’”
Hadith 1041
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ ، عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : " أُمِرْنَا أَلَّا نَكُفَّ شَعَرًا وَلَا ثَوْبًا ، وَلَا نَتَوَضَّأَ مِنْ مَوْطَإٍ " .
´It was narrated that ‘Abdullah said:` “We were ordered to not (tuck up our) hair (nor garment) and not to repeat ablution for what we stepped on.”
Hadith 1065
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ ، عَنْ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ أَبِي عَمَّارٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بَابَيْهِ ، عَنْ يَعْلَى بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ ، قَالَ : سَأَلْتُ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ ، قُلْتُ : لَيْسَ عَلَيْكُمْ جُنَاحٌ أَنْ تَقْصُرُوا مِنَ الصَّلَاةِ إِنْ خِفْتُمْ أَنْ يَفْتِنَكُمُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا ، وَقَدْ أَمِنَ النَّاسُ فَقَالَ : عَجِبْتُ مِمَّا عَجِبْتَ مِنْهُ ، فَسَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ : " صَدَقَةٌ تَصَدَّقَ اللَّهُ بِهَا عَلَيْكُمْ ، فَاقْبَلُوا صَدَقَتَهُ " .
´It was narrated that Ya’la bin Umayyah said:` “I asked ‘Umar bin Khattab: ‘Allah says: “And when you travel in the land, there is no sin on you if you shorten the prayer if you fear that the disbelievers may put you in trial (attack you), verily, the disbelievers are ever to you open enemies,” [4:101] but now there is security and people are safe.’ He said: ‘I found it strange just as you do, so I asked the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) about that, and he said: “It is charity that Allah has bestowed upon you, so accept His charity.”
Hadith 1125
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ ، وَيَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ ، قَالُوا : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، حَدَّثَنِي عُبَيْدَةُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ الضَّمْرِيِّ وَكَانَ لَهُ صُحْبَةٌ وَكَانَ لَهُ صُحْبَةٌ ، قَالَ : قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ تَرَكَ الْجُمُعَةَ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ تَهَاوُنًا بِهَا ، طُبِعَ عَلَى قَلْبِهِ " .
´It was narrated that Abu Ja’d Ad-Damri who was a Companion said that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:` “Whoever abandons Friday (prayer) three times, neglecting it, a seal will be placed over his heart.”
Hadith 1132
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، وَأَبُو السَّائِبِ سَلْمُ بْنُ جُنَادَةَ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ ، عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا صَلَّيْتُمْ بَعْدَ الْجُمُعَةِ فَصَلُّوا أَرْبَعًا " .
´It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said:` “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: ‘If you pray after Friday, then pray four (Rak’ah).’”
Hadith 1159
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي زِيَادٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ ، قَالَ : أَرْسَلَ مُعَاوِيَةُ إِلَى أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ ، فَانْطَلَقْتُ مَعَ الرَّسُولِ ، فَسَأَلَ أُمَّ سَلَمَةَ ، فَقَالَتْ : إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَيْنَمَا هُوَ يَتَوَضَّأُ فِي بَيْتِي لِلظُّهْرِ ، وَكَانَ قَدْ بَعَثَ سَاعِيًا ، وَكَثُرَ عِنْدَهُ الْمُهَاجِرُونَ ، وَكَانَ قَدْ أَهَمَّهُ شَأْنُهُمْ إِذْ ضُرِبَ الْبَابُ ، فَخَرَجَ إِلَيْهِ فَصَلَّى الظُّهْرَ ، ثُمَّ جَلَسَ يَقْسِمُ مَا جَاءَ بِهِ ، قَالَتْ : فَلَمْ يَزَلْ كَذَلِكَ حَتَّى الْعَصْرِ ، ثُمَّ دَخَلَ مَنْزِلِي فَصَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : " شَغَلَنِي أَمْرُ السَّاعِي أَنْ أُصَلِّيَهُمَا بَعْدَ الظُّهْرِ فَصَلَّيْتُهُمَا بَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ " .
´It was narrated that ‘Abdullah bin Harith said:` “Mu’awiyah sent word to Umm Salamah, and I went with his envoy who put the question to Umm Salamah. She said: ‘While the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was performing ablution for the Zuhr in my house and he had sent a Sa’i,* the Muhajirun gathered around him in large numbers, and he was busy dealing with them. When a knock on the door came, he went out and performed the Zuhr, then he sat and distributed what had been brought to him.’ She said: ‘He continued doing that until the ‘Asr. Then he came into my house and performed two Rak’ah. Then he said: “The matter of the Sa’i kept me from praying them after Zuhr, so I prayed them after ‘Asr.”
Hadith 1241
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ ، وَحَفْصُ بْنُ غِيَاثٍ ، وَيَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، عَنْ أَبِي مَالِكٍ الأَشْجَعِيِّ سَعْدِ بْنِ طَارِقٍ قَالَ : قُلْتُ لِأَبِي : يَا أَبَتِ : يَا أَبَتِ " إِنَّكَ قَدْ صَلَّيْتَ خَلْفَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَأَبِي بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ وَعُثْمَانَ وَعَلِيٍّ هَاهُنَا بِالْكُوفَةِ نَحْوًا مِنْ خَمْسِ سِنِينَ ، فَكَانُوا يَقْنُتُونَ فِي الْفَجْرِ " ، فَقَالَ : أَيْ بُنَيَّ ، مُحْدَثٌ .
´Sa’d bin Tariq said:` “I said to my father: ‘O my father! You prayed behind the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and behind Abu Bakr, ‘Umar and ‘Uthman, and behind ‘Ali here in Kufah for about five years. Did they recite Qunut in Fajr?’ He said: ‘O my son! That is an innovation.’”
Hadith 1270
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي الْقَاسِمِ أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ ، حَدَّثَنَا حُصَيْنٌ ، عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : جَاءَ أَعْرَابِيٌّ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، لَقَدْ جِئْتُكَ مِنْ عِنْدِ قَوْمٍ مَا يَتَزَوَّدُ لَهُمْ رَاعٍ ، وَلَا يَخْطِرُ لَهُمْ ، فَحْلٌ ، فَصَعِدَ الْمِنْبَرَ ، فَحَمِدَ اللَّهَ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : " اللَّهُمَّ اسْقِنَا غَيْثًا مُغِيثًا مَرِيئًا طَبَقًا مَرِيعًا غَدَقًا عَاجِلًا غَيْرَ رَائِثٍ ، ثُمَّ نَزَلَ ، فَمَا يَأْتِيهِ أَحَدٌ مِنْ وَجْهٍ مِنَ الْوُجُوهِ إِلَّا قَالُوا قَدْ أُحْيِينَا " .
´It was narrated that Ibn ‘Abbas said:` “A Bedouin came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, I have come to you from people who have no place to graze their flocks and even their male camels have become weak. He mounted the pulpit and praised Allah, then he said: ‘O Allah, send upon us all abundant, wholesome rain, productive and plentiful, sooner rather than later.’ Then the rain came down, and no one came to him from any direction but they said: ‘We have been revived.’”
Hadith 1471
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي زِيَادٍ ، عَنْ الْحَكَمِ ، عَنْ مِقْسَمٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : " كُفِّنَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي ثَلَاثَةِ أَثْوَابٍ ، قَمِيصُهُ الَّذِي قُبِضَ فِيهِ ، وَحُلَّةٌ نَجْرَانِيَّةٌ " .
´It was narrated that Ibn ‘Abbas said:` “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was shrouded in three garments: The shirt in which he died, and a Najrani Hullah.
Hadith 2019
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : طَلَّقْتُ امْرَأَتِي وَهِيَ حَائِضٌ ، فَذَكَرَ ذَلِكَ عُمَرُ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ : " مُرْهُ فَلْيُرَاجِعْهَا حَتَّى تَطْهُرَ ، ثُمَّ تَحِيضَ ، ثُمَّ تَطْهُرَ ، ثُمَّ إِنْ شَاءَ طَلَّقَهَا قَبْلَ أَنْ يُجَامِعَهَا ، وَإِنْ شَاءَ أَمْسَكَهَا ، فَإِنَّهَا الْعِدَّةُ الَّتِي أَمَرَ اللَّهُ " .
´It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar said:` "I divorced my wife when she was menstruating. 'Umar mentioned that to the Messenger of Allah and he said: 'Tell him to take her back until she becomes pure (i.e., her period ends), then she has her period (again), then she becomes pure (again), then if he wishes he may divorce her before having sexual relations with her, and if he wishes he may keep her. This is the waiting period that Allah has enjoined.'"
Hadith 2274
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ ، عَنْ أَبِي مَعْشَرٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " الرِّبَا سَبْعُونَ حُوبًا أَيْسَرُهَا أَنْ يَنْكِحَ الرَّجُلُ أُمَّهُ " .
´It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` "There are seventy degrees of usury, the least of which is equivalent to a man having intercourse with his mother."
Hadith 2305
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ ، عَنْ حُصَيْنٍ ، عَنْ عَامِرٍ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ الْبَارِقِيِّ يَرْفَعُهُ ، قَالَ : " الْإِبِلُ عِزٌّ لِأَهْلِهَا وَالْغَنَمُ بَرَكَةٌ وَالْخَيْرُ مَعْقُودٌ فِي نَوَاصِي الْخَيْلِ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ " .
´It was narrated that 'Urwah Al-Bariqi said in a Marfu’ report:` "Camels are the pride of their owners, and sheep are a blessing, and goodness is tied to the forelocks of horses until the Day of Resurrection."
Hadith 2608
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ابْنُ أَخِي الْحُسَيْنِ الْجُعْفِيِّ ، حَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ مَنَازِلَ التَّيْمِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ ، عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ أَبِي كَرِيمَةَ ، عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ قُرَّةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : " بَعَثَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَى رَجُلٍ تَزَوَّجَ امْرَأَةَ أَبِيهِ أَنْ أَضْرِبَ عُنُقَهُ وَأُصَفِّيَ مَالَهُ " .
´It was narrated from Mu'awiyah bin Qurrah that his father said:` “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) sent me to a man who had married his father's wife after he died, to strike his neck (execute him) and confiscate his wealth.”
Hadith 2866
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاق ، وَيَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، وَعُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ ، وَابْنُ عَجْلَانَ ، عَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ ، قَالَ : " بَايَعْنَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى السَّمْعِ وَالطَّاعَةِ فِي الْعُسْرِ وَالْيُسْرِ ، وَالْمَنْشَطِ وَالْمَكْرَهِ ، وَالْأَثَرَةِ عَلَيْنَا ، وَأَنْ لَا نُنَازِعَ الْأَمْرَ أَهْلَهُ ، وَأَنْ نَقُولَ الْحَقَّ حَيْثُمَا كُنَّا ، لَا نَخَافُ فِي اللَّهِ لَوْمَةَ لَائِمٍ " .
´It was narrated that ‘Ubadah bin Samit said:` “We gave our pledge to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), pledging to listen and obey in times of hardship and times of ease, willingly or reluctantly, and when others are shown preference over us, and that we would not dispute the order of those in charge, that we would speak the truth wherever we are, and that we would not fear the blame of anyone when acting or speaking for the sake of Allah.”
Hadith 2871
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ ، عَنْ حَسَنِ بْنِ فُرَاتٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ كَانَتْ تَسُوسُهُمْ أَنْبِيَاؤُهُمْ ، كُلَّمَا ذَهَبَ نَبِيٌّ خَلَفَهُ نَبِيٌّ ، وَأَنَّهُ لَيْسَ كَائِنٌ بَعْدِي نَبِيٌّ فِيكُمْ " ، قَالُوا : فَمَا يَكُونُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ؟ ، قَالَ : " تَكُونُ خُلَفَاءُ فَيَكْثُرُوا " ، قَالُوا : فَكَيْفَ نَصْنَعُ ؟ ، قَالَ : " أَوْفُوا بِبَيْعَةِ الْأَوَّلِ ، فَالْأَوَّلِ أَدُّوا الَّذِي عَلَيْكُمْ ، فَسَيَسْأَلُهُمُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ عَنِ الَّذِي عَلَيْهِمْ " .
´It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` “The affairs of the Children of Israel were administered by their Prophets. Every time a Prophet left, he was followed by another, but there will be no Prophet among you after I am gone.” They said: “What will happen, O Messenger of Allah?” He said: “There will be caliphs and there will be many of them.” They said: “What should we do?” He said: “Fulfill your pledge to the first one, then the one who comes after him, and do the duties required of you, for Allah will question them about the duties upon them.”
Hadith 2933
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاق ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ عَبَّادِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ ، قَالَتْ : " خَرَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَتَّى إِذَا كُنَّا بِالْعَرْجِ نَزَلْنَا ، فَجَلَسَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَعَائِشَةُ إِلَى جَنْبِهِ ، وَأَنَا إِلَى جَنْبِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ ، فَكَانَتْ زِمَالَتُنَا وَزِمَالَةُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ وَاحِدَةً ، مَعَ غُلَامِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ ، قَالَ : فَطَلَعَ الْغُلَامُ وَلَيْسَ مَعَهُ بَعِيرُهُ ، فَقَالَ لَهُ : أَيْنَ بَعِيرُكَ ؟ ، قَالَ : أَضْلَلْتُهُ الْبَارِحَةَ ، قَالَ : مَعَكَ بَعِيرٌ وَاحِدٌ تُضِلُّهُ ؟ ، قَالَ : فَطَفِقَ يَضْرِبُهُ ، وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : انْظُرُوا إِلَى هَذَا الْمُحْرِمِ مَا يَصْنَعُ ؟ " .
´It was narrated that Asma’ bint Abu Bakr said:` “We went out with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) until, when we were in ‘Arj, we stopped to camp. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) sat, with ‘Aishah by his side, and I was sitting beside Abu Bakr. Our mount* and the mount of Abu Bakr was one, under the care of the slave of Abu Bakr. The slave looked and his camel was not with him, so he said to him: ‘Where is your camel?’ He said: ‘I lost it yesterday.’ He said: ‘You have one camel with you and you lost it?’ He started to beat him, and the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: ‘Look at what this Muhrim is doing!’”
Hadith 3514
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ , حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ , عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عُمَارَةَ , عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ , أَنَّ خَالِدَةَ بِنْتَ أَنَسٍ أُمَّ بَنِي حَزْمٍ السَّاعِدِيَّةَ : جَاءَتْ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " فَعَرَضَتْ عَلَيْهِ الرُّقَى , فَأَمَرَهَا بِهَا " .
It as narrated from Abu Bakr bin Muhammad that Khalidah bint Anas, the mother of Banu Hazm As-Sa’idiyyah, came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and recited a Ruqyah to him, and he told her to use it.
Hadith 3617
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ , حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ , عَنْ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ , عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ , عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قَالَ : قَال رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا يَمْشِي أَحَدُكُمْ فِي نَعْلٍ وَاحِدٍ , وَلَا خُفٍّ وَاحِدٍ , لِيَخْلَعْهُمَا جَمِيعًا , أَوْ لِيَمْشِ فِيهِمَا جَمِيعًا " .
It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said; “None of you should walk in one sandal or in one leather sock. Let him take them both off or walk in both of them.”
Hadith 3622
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ , حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ , عَنْ الْأَجْلَحِ , عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ , عَنْ أَبِي الْأَسْوَدِ الدَّيْلَمِيِّ , عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ , قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ أَحْسَنَ مَا غَيَّرْتُمْ بِهِ الشَّيْبَ الْحِنَّاءُ وَالْكَتَمُ " .
´It was narrated from Abu Dharr that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` “The best things with which you change gray hair are henna and Katam.”*
Hadith 3648
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ , حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ , عَنْ عَاصِمٍ , عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ , عَنْ عَلِيٍّ , قَالَ : نَهَانِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " أَنْ أَتَخَتَّمَ فِي هَذِهِ وَفِي هَذِهِ " , يَعْنِي : الْخِنْصَرَ , وَالْإِبْهَامَ .
´It was narrated that ‘Ali said:` “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) forbade me to wear a ring on this and on this,” meaning the little finger and the thumb.
Hadith 3664
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ , حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ , عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ , عَنْ أَسِيدِ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ مَوْلَى بَنِي سَاعِدَةَ , عَنْ أَبِيهِ , عَنْ أَبِي أُسَيْدٍ مَالِكِ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ , قَالَ : بَيْنَمَا نَحْنُ عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذْ جَاءَهُ رَجُلٌ مِنْ بَنِي سُلَيْمٍ , فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ , أَبَقِيَ مِنْ بِرِّ أَبَوَيَّ شَيْءٌ أَبَرُّهُمَا بِهِ مِنْ بَعْدِ مَوْتِهِمَا , قَالَ : " نَعَمْ , الصَّلَاةُ عَلَيْهِمَا , وَالِاسْتِغْفَارُ لَهُمَا , وَإِيفَاءٌ بِعُهُودِهِمَا مِنْ بَعْدِ مَوْتِهِمَا , وَإِكْرَامُ صَدِيقِهِمَا , وَصِلَةُ الرَّحِمِ الَّتِي لَا تُوصَلُ إِلَّا بِهِمَا " .
´It was narrated that Abu Usaid, Malik bin Rabi'ah, said:` "While we were with the Prophet(ﷺ), a man from the Banu Salamah came to him and said: " O messenger of Allah, is there anyway of honoring my parents that I can still do for them after they die?' He said: "Yes offering the funeral prayer for them, praying for forgiveness for them, fulfilling their promises after their death, honoring their freinds and upholding the ties of kinship which you would not have were it nor for them.'"
Hadith 3705
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ , حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ , وَغُنْدَرٌ , وَأَبُو أُسَامَةَ , عَنْ شُعْبَةَ , عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ , عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ , عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ عَسَّالٍ , " أَنَّ قَوْمًا مِنْ الْيَهُودِ قَبَّلُوا يَدَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَرِجْلَيْهِ " .
´It was narrated from Safwan bin 'Assal that:` "Some people among the Jews kissed the hands and feet of the Prophet(ﷺ)."
Hadith 3741
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ , حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ , عَنْ دَاوُدَ , عَنْ الشَّعْبِيِّ , عَنْ أَبِي جَبِيرَةَ بْنِ الضَّحَّاكِ , قَالَ : فِينَا نَزَلَتْ مَعْشَرَ الْأَنْصَارِ وَلا تَنَابَزُوا بِالأَلْقَابِ سورة الحجرات آية 11 ، " قَدِمَ عَلَيْنَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , وَالرَّجُلُ مِنَّا لَهُ الِاسْمَانِ وَالثَّلَاثَةُ , فَكَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رُبَّمَا دَعَاهُمْ بِبَعْضِ تِلْكَ الْأَسْمَاءِ " , فَيُقَالُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ , إِنَّهُ يَغْضَبُ مِنْ هَذَا , فَنَزَلَتْ وَلا تَنَابَزُوا بِالأَلْقَابِ سورة الحجرات آية 11 .
´It was narrated that Abu Jabirah bin Dahhak said:` "(Allah's saying) "Nor insult one another by nicknames(Surah Al Hujarat 49:11)" was revealed concerning us, the Ansar. When the Prophet(ﷺ) came to us, a man among us would have two or three names, and the Prophet(ﷺ) might call him by one of those names, only to be told: "O Messenger of Allah(ﷺ), he does not like that name." Then:"Nor insult one another by nicknames." was revealed."
Hadith 3839
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ , حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ , عَنْ حُصَيْنٍ , عَنْ هِلَالٍ , عَنْ فَرْوَةَ بْنِ نَوْفَلٍ , قَالَ : سَأَلْتُ عَائِشَةَ عَنْ دُعَاءٍ كَانَ يَدْعُو بِهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , فَقَالَتْ : كَانَ يَقُولُ : " اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا عَمِلْتُ , وَمِنْ شَرِّ مَا لَمْ أَعْمَلْ " .
´It was narrated that Farwah bin Nawfal said:` "I asked 'Aishah about a supplication that the Messenger of Allah (saas) used to say. She said that he used to say: 'Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min sharri ma 'amiltu, wa min sharri ma lam a'mal (O Allah, I seek refuge with You from the evil of that which I have done and the evil of that which I have not done).'"
Hadith 3854
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ , حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ , عَنْ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ , عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ , عَنْ الْأَعْرَجِ , عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا يَقُولَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ : اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي إِنْ شِئْتَ , وَلْيَعْزِمْ فِي الْمَسْأَلَةِ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا مُكْرِهَ لَهُ " .
´It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the :` Messenger of Allah (saas) said: "No one among you should say: "O Allah, forgive me if You will.' Let him be definite in his asking, and no one can compel Allah."
Hadith 4246
حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ إِسْحَاق , وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ , قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ , عَنْ أَبِيهِ , وَعَمِّهِ , عَنْ جَدِّهِ , عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قَالَ : سُئِلَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا أَكْثَرُ مَا يُدْخِلُ الْجَنَّةَ ؟ قَالَ : " التَّقْوَى وَحُسْنُ الْخُلُقِ " وَسُئِلَ مَا أَكْثَرُ مَا يُدْخِلُ النَّارَ , قَالَ : " الْأَجْوَفَانِ : الْفَمُ وَالْفَرْجُ " .
´It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said:` “The Prophet (ﷺ) was asked: ‘What most admits people to Paradise?’ He said: ‘Piety and good manners.’ And he was asked: ‘What most leads people to Hell?’ He said: ‘The two hollow ones: The mouth and the private part.’”
Hadith 4319
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ , حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ , عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ , عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ , عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " اشْتَكَتِ النَّارُ إِلَى رَبِّهَا , فَقَالَتْ : يَا رَبِّ , أَكَلَ بَعْضِي بَعْضًا , فَجَعَلَ لَهَا نَفَسَيْنِ نَفَسٌ فِي الشِّتَاءِ , وَنَفَسٌ فِي الصَّيْفِ , فَشِدَّةُ مَا تَجِدُونَ مِنَ الْبَرْدِ مِنْ زَمْهَرِيرِهَا , وَشِدَّةُ مَا تَجِدُونَ مِنَ الْحَرِّ مِنْ سَمُومِهَا " .
´It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` “The Fire complained to its Lord and said: ‘O Lord, parts of me have consumed other parts.’ So He gave it two occasions to exhale, one in winter and one in summer. The intense cold that you feel (in winter) is part of its severe frost (Zamharir) and the intense heat that you feel in summer is part of its hot wind (Samum).”
