Hadith 24
´It was narrated from 'Abdullah bin Abi Qatadah, from his father, that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ said:` "When any one of you urinates, let him not hold his penis in his right hand."
Hadith 25
´It was narrated from 'Abdullah bin Abi Qatadah that his father said:` "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'When any one of you enters Al-Khala' (the toilet), let him not touch his penis with his right hand.'"
Hadith 47
´It was narrated from Abu Qatadah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` "When any one of you drinks, let him not breathe into the vessel, and when he goes to the toilet let him not touch his penis with his right hand, nor wipe himself with this right hand."
Hadith 48
It was narrated from Ibn Abi Qatadah, from his father, that the Prophet (ﷺ) forbade breathing into the vessel (when drinking), touching one's penis with one's right hand, and cleaning oneself with one's right hand.
Hadith 688
´It was narrated from 'Abdullah bin Abi Qatadah that his father said:` "The Messenger of Allah (S.A.W) said: 'When the Iqamah for prayer is said, do not stand up until you see that I have come out.'"
Hadith 791
´It was narrated from Abdullah bin Abi Qatadah that his father said:` "The messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'When the call to prayer is given, do not stand up until you see me.'"
Hadith 826
´It was narrated from 'Abdullah bin Abi Qatadah, from his father that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:` "I stand in prayer, then I hear a child crying, so I make my prayer brief, because I do not want to cause hardship for his mother."
Hadith 847

هَنَّادُ بْنُ السَّرِيِّ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا
أَبُو زُبَيْدٍ وَاسْمُهُ عَبْثَرُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ ، عَنْ
حُصَيْنٍ ، عَنْ
عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ
أَبِيهِ ، قال : كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذْ قَالَ بَعْضُ الْقَوْمِ لَوْ عَرَّسْتَ بِنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : " إِنِّي أَخَافُ أَنْ تَنَامُوا ، عَنِ الصَّلَاةِ ، قَالَ بِلَالٌ : أَنَا أَحْفَظُكُمْ فَاضْطَجَعُوا فَنَامُوا وَأَسْنَدَ بِلَالٌ ظَهْرَهُ إِلَى رَاحِلَتِهِ فَاسْتَيْقَظَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَقَدْ طَلَعَ حَاجِبُ الشَّمْسِ فَقَالَ : " يَا بِلَالُ أَيْنَ مَا قُلْتَ " قَالَ : مَا أُلْقِيَتْ عَلَيَّ نَوْمَةٌ مِثْلُهَا قَطُّ ، قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ قَبَضَ أَرْوَاحَكُمْ حِينَ شَاءَ فَرَدَّهَا حِينَ شَاءَ قُمْ يَا بِلَالُ فَآذِنِ النَّاسَ بِالصَّلَاةِ " فَقَامَ بِلَالٌ فَأَذَّنَ فَتَوَضَّئُوا يَعْنِي حِينَ ارْتَفَعَتِ الشَّمْسُ ثُمَّ قَامَ فَصَلَّى بِهِمْ .
´It was narrated from 'Abdullah bin Abi Qatadah that his father said:` "We were with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) when some of the people said: 'Why do you not stop with us to rest awhile, 0 Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)?' He said: 'I am afraid that you will sleep and miss the prayer.' Bilal said:'I will wake you up.' So they lay down and slept, and Bilal leaned back on his mount. Then the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) woke up when the sun had already started to rise, and he said: '0 Bilal, what about what you told us?' He said: 'I have never slept like that before.' The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, takes your souls when He wills and sends them back when He wills.' Stand up 0 Bilal and call the people to prayer.' Then Bilal stood up and & called the Adhan, and they performed Wudu' - that is, when the sun had risen (fully) - "then he stood and lead them in prayer."
Hadith 975
´Abdullah bin Abi Qatadah narrated that:` His father said: "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to lead us in prayer, and he would recite in the first two rak'ahs and make us hear some verses. And he would make the (first) Rak'ah lengthy in Zuhr, and also the first rak'ah." Meaning in Subh.
Hadith 976
´Abdullah bin Abi Qatadah said:` "My father told us that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to recite Umm Al-Quran and two surahs in the first two rak'ahs of Zuhr and 'Asr, and he would make us hear a verse sometimes, and he used to make the first rak'ah lengthy."

عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ ، أَنَّ
أَبَاهُ أَخْبَرَهُ ، قال : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " يَقْرَأُ بِنَا فِي الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ الْأُولَيَيْنِ مِنْ صَلَاةِ الظُّهْرِ وَيُسْمِعُنَا الْآيَةَ أَحْيَانًا وَيُطَوِّلُ فِي الْأُولَى وَيُقَصِّرُ فِي الثَّانِيَةِ وَكَانَ يَفْعَلُ ذَلِكَ فِي صَلَاةِ الصُّبْحِ يُطَوِّلُ فِي الْأُولَى وَيُقَصِّرُ فِي الثَّانِيَةِ وَكَانَ يَقْرَأُ بِنَا فِي الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ الْأُولَيَيْنِ مِنْ صَلَاةِ الْعَصْرِ يُطَوِّلُ الْأُولَى وَيُقَصِّرُ الثَّانِيَةَ " .
´Abdullah bin Abi Qatadah narrated that:` His father told him: "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to recite for us in the first two rak'ahs of Zuhr prayer, and he would make us hear a verse sometimes. He would make the first rak'ah longer and the second shorter. And he used to do that in Subh too, make the first rak'ah longer and the second shorter. And he used to recite in the first two rak'ahs of 'Asr prayer, making the first rak'ah longer and the second shorter."
Hadith 978
´It was narrated from Abdullah bin Abi Qatadah that his father said:` "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to recite the Umm Al-Quran and two surahs in the first two rak'ahs of Zuhr and 'Asr, and in the last two with Umm Al-Quran, and he would make us hear a verse sometimes, and he used to make the first rak'ah lengthy."
Hadith 979
´It was narrated that Abu Salamah said:` "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to recite the Umm Al-Quran and two surahs in the first two rak'ahs of Zuhr and 'Asr, and he would make us hear a verse sometimes, and he used to make the first rak'ah of zuhr lengthy, and he did likewise in Subh."
Hadith 1962
´'Abdullah bin Abi Qatadah narrated from his father that:` a man was brought to the Prophet for him to offer the funeral prayer, and he said: "Pray for your companion, for he owes a debt." Abu Qatadah said: " I will pay it." The Prophet said: "In full?" He said: "In full." So he prayed for him

يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، عَنْ
عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ ، قَالَ : انْطَلَقَ
أَبِي مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَامَ الْحُدَيْبِيَةِ ، فَأَحْرَمَ أَصْحَابُهُ وَلَمْ يُحْرِمْ ، فَبَيْنَمَا أَنَا مَعَ أَصْحَابِي ضَحِكَ بَعْضُهُمْ إِلَى بَعْضٍ فَنَظَرْتُ فَإِذَا حِمَارُ وَحْشٍ فَطَعَنْتُهُ ، فَاسْتَعَنْتُهُمْ ، فَأَبَوْا أَنْ يُعِينُونِي ، فَأَكَلْنَا مِنْ لَحْمِهِ ، وَخَشِينَا أَنْ نُقْتَطَعَ ، فَطَلَبْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أُرَفِّعُ فَرَسِي شَأْوًا وَأَسِيرُ شَأْوًا ، فَلَقِيتُ رَجُلًا مِنْ غِفَارٍ فِي جَوْفِ اللَّيْلِ فَقُلْتُ : أَيْنَ تَرَكْتَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ؟ قَالَ : تَرَكْتُهُ وَهُوَ قَائِلٌ بِالسُّقْيَا ، فَلَحِقْتُهُ ، فَقُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ أَصْحَابَكَ يَقْرَءُونَ عَلَيْكَ السَّلَامَ وَرَحْمَةَ اللَّهِ وَإِنَّهُمْ قَدْ خَشُوا أَنْ يُقْتَطَعُوا دُونَكَ ، فَانْتَظِرْهُمْ ، فَانْتَظَرَهُمْ ، فَقُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنِّي أَصَبْتُ حِمَارَ وَحْشٍ وَعِنْدِي مِنْهُ ، فَقَالَ لِلْقَوْمِ : " كُلُوا وَهُمْ مُحْرِمُونَ " .
´It was narrated that Abdullah bin Abi Qatadah said:` "My father set out with the Messenger of Allah in the year of Al-Hudaybiyah, and his companions entered Ihram, but he did not. (He said:) 'While I was with my companions, some of them laughed at others. I looked and saw an onager. I stabbed it then asked them to help, but they refused to help me. We ate from its meat, and we were afraid that we would be intercepted (by the enemy) so I followed the Messenger of Allah, sometimes making my horse gallop and sometimes traveling at a regular place. I met a man from Ghifar at midnight and said: Where did you leave the Messenger of Allah? He said: I left him when he was napping in As-Suqya. I caught up with him and said: O messenger of Allah! Your Companions convey their greetings of Salam to you, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings. They were afraid that they may be intercepted and cut off from you, so wait for them. Then I said: O Messenger of Allah, I caught an onager and I have some of it. He said to the People: Eat, and they were I Ihram.'"
Hadith 2828
´It was narrated that Yahya bin Abi Kathir said:` "Abdullah bin Abu Qatadah said that his father told him, that he went out with the Messenger of Allah on the campaign of Al-Hudaybiyah. He said: 'They entered Ihram for 'Umrah apart from me. I hunted an onager and fed my companions with it, when they were in Ihram. Then, I went to the Messenger of Allah and told him that we had some of it meat left over. HE said: Eat, and they were in Ihram.'".
Hadith 2829
أَخْبَرَنَا
مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلَانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا
أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ : أَنْبَأَنَا
شُعْبَةُ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي
عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَوْهَبٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ
عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ
أَبِيهِ ، أَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا فِي مَسِيرٍ لَهُمْ بَعْضُهُمْ مُحْرِمٌ وَبَعْضُهُمْ لَيْسَ بِمُحْرِمٍ ، قَالَ : فَرَأَيْتُ حِمَارَ وَحْشٍ فَرَكِبْتُ فَرَسِي وَأَخَذْتُ الرُّمْحَ ، فَاسْتَعَنْتُهُمْ ، فَأَبَوْا أَنْ يُعِينُونِي ، فَاخْتَلَسْتُ سَوْطًا مِنْ بَعْضِهِمْ ، فَشَدَدْتُ عَلَى الْحِمَارِ فَأَصَبْتُهُ ، فَأَكَلُوا مِنْهُ ، فَأَشْفَقُوا ، قَالَ : فَسُئِلَ عَنْ ذَلِكَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : " هَلْ أَشَرْتُمْ أَوْ أَعَنْتُمْ ؟ " قَالُوا : لَا ، قَالَ : " فَكُلُوا " .
´Abdullah bin Abi Qatadah narrated from his father that:` they were on a march, somr of them in Ihram and some not in Ihram. He said: "I saw an onager so I mounted my horse and picked up a spear. I asked them to help me but they refused to help me. I snatched a whip from one of them and chased the onager and caught it. They ate of it but they were scared. The prophet was asked about that and he said: 'Did you pint (at it) or help him?' They said, 'No.' He said: Then eat.'"
Hadith 3158

وَالْحَارِثُ بْنُ مِسْكِينٍ قِرَاءَةً عَلَيْهِ وَأَنَا أَسْمَعُ ، عَنْ
ابْنِ الْقَاسِمِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي
مَالِكٌ ، عَنْ
يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ
سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ
عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ
أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ : أَرَأَيْتَ إِنْ قُتِلْتُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ صَابِرًا ، مُحْتَسِبًا ، مُقْبِلًا غَيْرَ مُدْبِرٍ ، أَيُكَفِّرُ اللَّهُ عَنِّي خَطَايَايَ ؟ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " نَعَمْ " فَلَمَّا وَلَّى الرَّجُلُ ، نَادَاهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَوْ أَمَرَ بِهِ فَنُودِيَ لَهُ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " كَيْفَ قُلْتَ " فَأَعَادَ عَلَيْهِ قَوْلَهُ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : نَعَمْ ، إِلَّا الدَّيْنَ ، كَذَلِكَ قَالَ لِي جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام " .
´It was narrated from 'Abdullah bin Abi Qatadah that his father said:` "A man came to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, if I am killed in the cause of Allah with patience and seeking reward, facing the enemy and not running away, do you think that Allah will forgive my sins?' The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'Yes.' When the man turned away, the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) called him back and said: 'What did you say?' He repeated his question, and the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'Yes, except debt. Jibril told me.'"
Hadith 3159
أَخْبَرَنَا
قُتَيْبَةُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا
اللَّيْثُ ، عَنْ
سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ
عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ
أَبِي قَتَادَةَ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَهُ يُحَدِّثُ , عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، أَنَّهُ قَامَ فِيهِمْ فَذَكَرَ لَهُمْ : أَنَّ الْجِهَادَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ، وَالْإِيمَانَ بِاللَّهِ ، أَفْضَلُ الْأَعْمَالِ ، فَقَامَ رَجُلٌ ، فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَرَأَيْتَ إِنْ قُتِلْتُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ، أَيُكَفِّرُ اللَّهُ عَنِّي خَطَايَايَ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " نَعَمْ , إِنْ قُتِلْتَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَأَنْتَ صَابِرٌ ، مُحْتَسِبٌ ، مُقْبِلٌ غَيْرُ مُدْبِرٍ ، إِلَّا الدَّيْنَ ، فَإِنَّ جِبْرِيلَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام قَالَ لِي ذَلِكَ " .
´It was narrated from 'Abdullah bin Qatadah that he heard Abu Qatadah narrate from the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), that he stood up among them and said that Jihad in the cause of Allah and belief in Allah are the best of deeds. Then a man stood up and said:` "O Messenger of Allah, if I am killed in the cause of Allah, will Allah forgive my sins?" The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Yes, if you are killed in the cause of Allah, and you are patient and seek reward, and you are facing the enemy, not running way - except for debt. Jibril (peace be upon him) told me that."
Hadith 3160
أَخْبَرَنَا
عَبْدُ الْجَبَّارِ بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا
سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ
عَمْرٍو ، سَمِعَ
مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ قَيْسٍ ، عَنْ
عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ
أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَهُوَ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ ، فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَرَأَيْتَ إِنْ ضَرَبْتُ بِسَيْفِي فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ صَابِرًا ، مُحْتَسِبًا ، مُقْبِلًا غَيْرَ مُدْبِرٍ ، حَتَّى أُقْتَلَ ، أَيُكَفِّرُ اللَّهُ عَنِّي خَطَايَايَ ؟ قَالَ : " نَعَمْ ، فَلَمَّا أَدْبَرَ دَعَاهُ ، فَقَالَ : هَذَا جِبْرِيلُ يَقُولُ : إِلَّا أَنْ يَكُونَ عَلَيْكَ دَيْنٌ " .
´It was narrated from 'Abdullah bin Abi Qatadah that his father said:` "A man came to the Prophet (ﷺ) when he was on the Minbar and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, do you think that if I wield this sword of mine in the cause of Allah, with patience and seeking reward, facing the enemy, and not running away, will Allah forgive my sins?' He said: 'Yes.' When he turned away, he called him back and said: 'Jibril says: unless you are in debt.'"
Hadith 4350
´It was narrated that from Ibn Abi Qatadah, from Abu Qatadah, that:` he caught an onager and brought it to his companion's who were in Ihram whereas he was not, and they ate from it. Then they said to one another: "Let us ask the Messenger of Allah about it," So we asked him and he said:" You did well" Then he said to us: "Do you have anything left of it?" We said: "Yes." He said: "Give us some "So we brought him some, and he ate from it, while he was in Ihram.
Hadith 4696
´It was narrated from 'Abdullah bin Abi Qatadah, from his father, that a man from among the Ansar was brought to the prophet for him to offer the funeral prayer, and he said:` "Your companion owes a debt. " Abu Qutdah said: "I will guarantee it for him. "The prophet said: "In full?" He said: "In full." (Sahah)
Hadith 5553
´'Abdullah bin Abi Qatadah narrated from his father that:` The Prophet [SAW] said: "Do not combine dried dates with raisins, nor Az-Zahuw with ripe dates."
Hadith 5563
´It was narrated from 'Abdullah bin Abi Qatadah, from his father, that:` The Prophet [SAW] said: "Do not soak Az-Zahuw and ripe dates, and do not soak ripe dates and raisins together."
Hadith 5569
´It was narrated from Abu Qatadah that:` The Messenger of Allah [SAW] said: "Do not soak Az-Zahuw and ripe dates together, nor Al-Busr and raisins together. Soak each one of them on its own."
Hadith 5570
´Yahya narrated that 'Abdullah bin Abi Qatadah said to him from his father, that:` The Prophet [SAW] forbade mixing Az-Zahuw and dried dates, and mixing Al-Busr and dried dates, and he said: "Soak each one of them on its own in vessels that are tied shut."
