Hadith 479
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عِيسَى بْنِ يَزِيدَ الْبَغْدَادِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ بَكْرٍ السَّهْمِيُّ، وحَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُنِيرٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بَكْرٍ، عَنْ فَائِدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي أَوْفَى، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ كَانَتْ لَهُ إِلَى اللَّهِ حَاجَةٌ أَوْ إِلَى أَحَدٍ مِنْ بَنِي آدَمَ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ فَلْيُحْسِنْ الْوُضُوءَ ، ثُمَّ لِيُصَلِّ رَكْعَتَيْنِ ، ثُمَّ لِيُثْنِ عَلَى اللَّهِ وَلْيُصَلِّ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، ثُمَّ لِيَقُلْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ الْحَلِيمُ الْكَرِيمُ ، سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ ، الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ ، أَسْأَلُكَ مُوجِبَاتِ رَحْمَتِكَ ، وَعَزَائِمَ مَغْفِرَتِكَ ، وَالْغَنِيمَةَ مِنْ كُلِّ بِرٍّ ، وَالسَّلَامَةَ مِنْ كُلِّ إِثْمٍ ، لَا تَدَعْ لِي ذَنْبًا إِلَّا غَفَرْتَهُ ، وَلَا هَمًّا إِلَّا فَرَّجْتَهُ ، وَلَا حَاجَةً هِيَ لَكَ رِضًا إِلَّا قَضَيْتَهَا يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ ، وَفِي إِسْنَادِهِ مَقَالٌ فَائِدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ يُضَعَّفُ فِي الْحَدِيثِ ، وَفَائِدٌ هُوَ أَبُو الْوَرْقَاءِ .
´`Abdullah bin Abi Awfa narrated that :` Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: "Whoever has a need from Allah, or from one of the sons of Adam, then let him perform Wudu', performing it well, then pray two Rak`ah, then praise Allah and say Salat upon the Prophet (ﷺ). Then let him say: (La ilaha illallah Al-Halimul-Karim. Subhan Allah Rabbil-`Arshil-`Azim. Al-Hamdulillahi Rabbil-`Alamin. As'aluka mujibati rahmatika wa `aza'im maghfiratika, wal-ghanimata min kulli birrin, was-salamata min kulli ithmin, la tada` li dhanban illa ghafartahu, wa la hamman illa farrajtahu, wa la Hajatan hiya laka ridan Illa Qadaitaha, ya arham ar-rahimin) 'None has the right to be worshiped but Allah. Al-Halim (the Forbearing) Al-Karim (the Generous). Glorious is Allah, Lord of the Magnificent Throne. All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds. I ask You for that which warrants Your mercy, and that which will determine Your forgiveness, and the spoils (fruits) of every righteous deed, and safety from every sin; do not leave a sin for me without forgiving it, nor a worry without relieving it. Or a need that pleases you without granting it. O Most-Merciful of those who have mercy.'"
Hadith 1330
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْقُدُّوسِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْعَطَّارُ، حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَاصِمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عِمْرَانُ الْقَطَّانُ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاق الشَّيْبَانِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي أَوْفَى، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ مَعَ الْقَاضِي مَا لَمْ يَجُرْ ، فَإِذَا جَارَ تَخَلَّى عَنْهُ ، وَلَزِمَهُ الشَّيْطَانُ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ لَا نَعْرِفُهُ ، إِلَّا مِنْ حَدِيثِ عِمْرَانَ الْقَطَّانِ .
´['Abdullah] Ibn Abi Al-Awfa narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` "[Indeed] Allah is with the judge as long as he is not unjust. So when he is unjust, He leaves him and he is attended by Shaitan."
Hadith 1678
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، أَنْبَأَنَا إِسْمَاعِيل بْنُ أَبِي خَالِدٍ، عَنْ ابْنِ أَبِي أَوْفَى، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ : يَعْنِي النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَدْعُو عَلَى الْأَحْزَابِ ، فَقَالَ : " اللَّهُمَّ مُنْزِلَ الْكِتَابِ ، سَرِيعَ الْحِسَابِ ، اهْزِمْ الْأَحْزَابَ ، اللَّهُمَّ اهْزِمْهُمْ وَزَلْزِلْهُمْ " ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : فِي الْبَاب ، عَنْ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ ، وَهَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .
Ibn Abi Awfa (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) (during the Battle of Ahzab) supplicating against the armies of the disbelievers. He supplicated in these words «اللهم منزل الكتاب سريع الحساب اهزم الأحزاب اللهم اهزمهم وزلزلهم»: "O Allah, Revealer of the Book and Swift in reckoning! Defeat the armies of the disbelievers, cause them to be defeated and shake their footing." 1. © Imam Tirmidhi says:

Hadith 1821
حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَبِي يَعْفُورٍ الْعَبْدِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي أَوْفَى أَنَّهُ سُئِلَ عَنِ الْجَرَادِ فَقَالَ : " غَزَوْتُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سِتَّ غَزَوَاتٍ نَأْكُلُ الْجَرَادَ " قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَكَذَا رَوَى سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي يَعْفُورٍ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ ، وَقَالَ سِتَّ غَزَوَاتٍ ، وَرَوَى سُفْيَانُ الثَّوْرِيُّ وَغَيْرُ وَاحِدٍ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ ، عَنْ أَبِي يَعْفُورٍ ، فَقَالَ : سَبْعَ غَزَوَاتٍ .
´It is narrated from Abdullah bin Abi Awfa (may Allah be pleased with him) that` he was asked about locusts, so he said: I participated in six battles with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and we used to eat locusts. © Imam Tirmidhi says:
1- This hadith has been narrated by Sufyan bin ‘Uyaynah from Abu Ya’fur in the same way, and he said: “Participated in six battles,”
2- And Sufyan Thawri and several others have narrated this hadith from Abu Ya’fur and said: “Participated in seven battles.”

Hadith 1822
حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلَانَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ، وَالْمُؤَمَّلُ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَبِي يَعْفُورٍ، عَنْ ابْنِ أَبِي أَوْفَى، قَالَ : " غَزَوْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سَبْعَ غَزَوَاتٍ نَأْكُلُ الْجَرَادَ " ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : وَرَوَى شُعْبَةُ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ ، عَنْ أَبِي يَعْفُورٍ، عَنْ ابْنِ أَبِي أَوْفَى، قَالَ : " غَزَوْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ غَزَوَاتٍ نَأْكُلُ الْجَرَادَ " .
Ibn Abi Awfa (may Allah be pleased with him) says: We participated in seven battles with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and ate locusts. Imam Tirmidhi says:
1- Shu’bah has also narrated it from Abu Ya’fur, from Ibn Abi Awfa, who said: I participated in several battles with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and ate locusts.

Hadith 2119
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو قَطَنٍ عَمْرُو بْنُ الْهَيْثَمِ الْبَغْدَادِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ مِغْوَلٍ، عَنْ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ مُصَرِّفٍ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ لِابْنِ أَبِي أَوْفَى : أَوْصَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ؟ قَالَ : لَا ، قُلْتُ : كَيْفَ كُتِبَتِ الْوَصِيَّةُ وَكَيْفَ أَمَرَ النَّاسَ ؟ قَالَ : " أَوْصَى بِكِتَابِ اللَّهِ " ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ غَرِيبٌ ، لَا نَعْرِفُهُ إِلَّا مِنْ حَدِيثِ مَالِكِ بْنِ مِغْوَلٍ .
´Talhah bin Musarrif said:` "I said to Ibn Abi Awfi: Did the Messenger of Allah (S.A.W) leave a will?' He said: 'No' I said: 'How is the will written, and how was it enjoined upon the people?' He said: 'It was ordered in the Book of Allah, Most High."'
Hadith 3547
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّوْرَقِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ حَفْصِ بْنِ غِيَاثٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي أَوْفَى، قَالَ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " اللَّهُمَّ بَرِّدْ قَلْبِي بِالثَّلْجِ وَالْبَرَدِ وَالْمَاءِ الْبَارِدِ ، اللَّهُمَّ نَقِّ قَلْبِي مِنَ الْخَطَايَا كَمَا نَقَّيْتَ الثَّوْبَ الْأَبْيَضَ مِنَ الدَّنَسِ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ غَرِيبٌ .
´`Abdullah bin [Abi] Awfa narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to say:` “O Allah, cool my heart with snow and hail and cold water. O Allah, cleanse my heart of sins as You cleanse a white garment of filth (Allāhumma barrid qalbī bith-thalji wal-baradi wal-mā’il-bārid. Allāhumma naqqi qalbī min al-khaṭāyā kamā naqqaitath-thawbal-abyaḍa min ad-dannas).”
