Hadith 298
حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ رَافِعٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيل ابْنُ عُلَيَّةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ صُهَيْبٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا دَخَلَ الْخَلَاءَ ، قَالَ : " أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ مِنَ الْخُبُثِ وَالْخَبَائِثِ " .
´It was narrated that Anas bin Malik said:` "Whenever the Messenger of Allah entered the toilet, he would say: 'A'udhu Billahi minal-khubthi wa'l-khaba'ith (I seek refuge with Allah from male and female devils).'"
Hadith 985
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدَةَ ، وَحُمَيْدُ بْنُ مَسْعَدَةَ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، أَنْبَأَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ صُهَيْبٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " يُوجِزُ وَيُتِمُّ الصَّلَاةَ " .
´It was narrated that Anas bin Malik said:` “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to make his prayer brief but perfect.”
Hadith 1371
حَدَّثَنَا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ مُوسَى اللَّيْثِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ صُهَيْبٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ دَخَلَ الْمَسْجِدَ ، فَرَأَى حَبْلًا مَمْدُودًا بَيْنَ سَارِيَتَيْنِ ، فَقَالَ : " مَا هَذَا الْحَبْلُ ؟ " ، قَالُوا لِزَيْنَبَ : تُصَلِّي فِيهِ ، فَإِذَا فَتَرَتْ تَعَلَّقَتْ بِهِ ، فَقَالَ : " حُلُّوهُ حُلُّوهُ لِيُصَلِّ أَحَدُكُمْ نَشَاطَهُ ، فَإِذَا فَتَرَ فَلْيَقْعُدْ " .
´It was narrated from Anas bin Malik that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) entered the mosque and saw a rope tied between two pillars. He said, “What is this rope?” They said:` “It belongs to Zainab. She prays here and when she gets tired she holds on to it.” He said: “Untie it, untie it; let any one of you pray when he has energy, if he gets tired let him sit down.”
Hadith 1605
حَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ حَمَّادٍ الْمَعْنِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ صُهَيْبٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مَا مِنْ مُسْلِمَيْنِ يُتَوَفَّى لَهُمَا ثَلَاثَةٌ مِنَ الْوَلَدِ لَمْ يَبْلُغُوا الْحِنْثَ إِلَّا أَدْخَلَهُمُ اللَّهُ الْجَنَّةَ بِفَضْلِ رَحْمَةِ اللَّهِ إِيَّاهُمْ " .
´It was narrated from Anas bin Malik that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:` “There are no two Muslims (mother and father), three of whose children die before reaching the age of puberty, but Allah will admit them to Paradise by virtue of His mercy towards them.”
Hadith 1692
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدَةَ ، أَنْبَأَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ صُهَيْبٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " تَسَحَّرُوا فَإِنَّ فِي السُّحُورِ بَرَكَةً " .
´It was narrated from Anas bin Malik that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` “Eat Suhur, for in Suhur there is a blessing.”
Hadith 1957
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ ، وَعَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، قَالَ : " صَارَتْ صَفِيَّةُ لِدِحْيَةَ الْكَلْبِيِّ ، ثُمَّ صَارَتْ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَعْدُ ، فَتَزَوَّجَهَا ، وَجَعَلَ عِتْقَهَا صَدَاقَهَا " ، قَالَ حَمَّادٌ ، فَقَالَ عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ لِثَابِتٍ : يَا أَبَا مُحَمَّدٍ أَنْتَ سَأَلْتَ أَنَسًا مَا أَمْهَرَهَا ؟ ، قَالَ : أَمْهَرَهَا نَفْسَهَا " .
´It was narrated that Anas said:` “Safiyyah was given to Dihyah Al-Kalbi (as his share of the war booty), then she was given to the Messenger of Allah after that. He married her, and made her ransom (i.e., freedom from slavery) her dowry.” (Sahih)Hammad said: “Abdul-'Aziz said to Thabit: 'O Abu Muhammad! Did you ask Anas what her bridal-money was?' He said: 'Her bridal-money was her freedom.' ”
Hadith 3523
حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ هِلَالٍ الصَّوَّافُ , حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ , عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ صُهَيْبٍ , عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ , عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ , أَنَّ جِبْرَائِيلَ أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , فَقَالَ : يَا مُحَمَّدُ , اشْتَكَيْتَ ؟ قَالَ : " نَعَمْ " , قَالَ : " بِسْمِ اللَّهِ أَرْقِيكَ مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ يُؤْذِيكَ , مِنْ شَرِّ كُلِّ نَفْسٍ أَوْ عَيْنٍ أَوْ حَاسِدٍ , اللَّهُ يَشْفِيكَ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ أَرْقِيكَ " .
´It was narrated from Abu Sa’eed that Jibra’il came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and said:` “O Muhammad, you are ill. He said: ‘Yes.’ He said: Bismillahi arqika, min kulli shay’in yu’dhika, min sharri kulli nafsin aw ‘aynin aw hasidin. Allahu yashfika, bismillahi arqika (In the Name of Allah I perform Ruqyah for you, from everything that is harming you, from the evil of every soul or envious eye, may Allah heal you. In the Name of Allah I perform Ruqyah for you).
Hadith 3588
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ , حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيل بْنُ عُلَيَّةَ , عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ صُهَيْبٍ , عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ , قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ لَبِسَ الْحَرِيرَ فِي الدُّنْيَا , لَمْ يَلْبَسْهُ فِي الْآخِرَةِ " .
´It was narrated from Anas bin Malik that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` “Whoever wears silk in this world will not wear it in the Hereafter.”
Hadith 3640
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ , حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيل بْنُ عُلَيَّةَ , عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ صُهَيْبٍ , عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ , قَالَ : اصْطَنَعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَاتَمًا , فَقَالَ : " إِنَّا قَدِ اصْطَنَعْنَا خَاتَمًا , وَنَقَشْنَا فِيهِ نَقْشًا , فَلَا يَنْقُشَنَّ عَلَيْهِ أَحَدٌ " .
´It was narrated that Anas bin Malik said:` “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) had a ring made for him, and he said: ‘I have had a ring made for me and had it engraved, and no one should make a ring with similar engraving.’”
Hadith 3963
حَدَّثَنَا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ , حَدَّثَنَا مُبَارَكُ بْنُ سُحَيْمٍ , عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ صُهَيْبٍ , عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ , عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , قَالَ : " مَا مِنْ مُسْلِمَيْنِ الْتَقَيَا بِأَسْيَافِهِمَا , إِلَّا كَانَ الْقَاتِلُ وَالْمَقْتُولُ فِي النَّارِ " .
´It was narrated from Anas bin Malik that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:` “There are no two Muslims who confront one another with their swords, but both the killer and the slain will be in Hell.”
Hadith 4265
حَدَّثَنَا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ مُوسَى , حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ , حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ صُهَيْبٍ , عَنْ أَنَسٍ , قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا يَتَمَنَّى أَحَدُكُمُ الْمَوْتَ لِضُرٍّ نَزَلَ بِهِ , فَإِنْ كَانَ لَا بُدَّ مُتَمَنِّيًا الْمَوْتَ فَلْيَقُلْ : اللَّهُمَّ أَحْيِنِي مَا كَانَتِ الْحَيَاةُ خَيْرًا لِي , وَتَوَفَّنِي إِذَا كَانَتِ الْوَفَاةُ خَيْرًا لِي " .
´4265 It was narrated from Anas that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` “None of you should wish for death because of some harm that befalls him. If he must wish for death, let him say: ‘O Allah, keep me alive so long as living is good for me and cause me to die when death is good for me.’”
