Hadith 1311
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُصَفَّى الْحِمْصِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا بَقِيَّةُ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، حَدَّثَنِي مُغِيرَةُ الضَّبِّيُّ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ رُفَيْعٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " اجْتَمَعَ عِيدَانِ فِي يَوْمِكُمْ هَذَا ، فَمَنْ شَاءَ أَجْزَأَهُ مِنَ الْجُمُعَةِ ، وَإِنَّا مُجَمِّعُونَ إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ " .
´It was narrated from Ibn ‘Abbas that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` “Two ‘Eid have come together on this day of yours. So whoever wants, that (the ‘Eid prayer) will suffice him, and he will not have to pray Friday, but we will pray Friday if Allah wills.” Another chain with similar wording.
Hadith 2108
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَامِرِ بْنِ زُرَارَةَ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ رُفَيْعٍ ، عَنْ تَمِيمِ بْنِ طَرَفَةَ ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ حَاتِمٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ حَلَفَ عَلَى يَمِينٍ فَرَأَى غَيْرَهَا خَيْرًا مِنْهَا ، فَلْيَأْتِ الَّذِي هُوَ خَيْرٌ وَلْيُكَفِّرْ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ " .
´It was narrated from 'Adi bin Hatim that :` the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), said: "Whoever swears an oath then sees that something else is better than it, let him do that which is better and offer expiation for what he swore about. "
