Hadith 49
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، وَشُعَيْبُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ وَاللَّفْظُ لَهُ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ مَهْدِيٍّ ، عَنْ سُفَيَانَ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، وَالْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ ، عَنْ سَلْمَانَ ، قال : قال الْمُشْرِكُونَ : إِنَّا لَنَرَى صَاحِبَكُمْ يُعَلِّمُكُمُ الْخِرَاءَةَ ، قال : أَجَلْ " نَهَانَا أَنْ يَسْتَنْجِيَ أَحَدُنَا بِيَمِينِهِ وَيَسْتَقْبِلَ الْقِبْلَةَ ، وَقَالَ : لَا يَسْتَنْجِي أَحَدُكُمْ بِدُونِ ثَلَاثَةِ أَحْجَارٍ " .
´It was narrated that Salman said:` "The idolators said: 'We see that your companion teaches you how to go to the toilet.' He said: 'Yes, he forbade us from cleaning ourselves with our right hand, and from facing toward the Qiblah, and he said: 'None of you should clean with less than three stones.'"
Hadith 70
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ الْمِقْدَامِ بْنِ شُرَيْحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا ، قالت : " كُنْتُ أَتَعَرَّقُ الْعَرْقَ فَيَضَعُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَاهُ حَيْثُ وَضَعْتُ وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ ، وَكُنْتُ أَشْرَبُ مِنَ الْإِنَاءِ فَيَضَعُ فَاهُ حَيْثُ وَضَعْتُ وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ " .
´It was narrated that 'Aishah, may Allah be pleased with her, said:` "While I was menstruating, I would nibble meat from a bone, and the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) would put his mouth where mine had been. And while I was menstruating, I would drink from a vessel and he would put his mouth where mine had been."
Hadith 88
أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، ح وحَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِدْرِيسَ الْخَوْلَانِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " مَنْ تَوَضَّأَ فَلْيَسْتَنْثِرْ ، وَمَنِ اسْتَجْمَرَ فَلْيُوتِرْ " .
´It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` "Whoever performs Wudu' then let him sniff water in the nose and blow it out, and whoever uses small stones (to remove filth) then make it odd (numbered)."
Hadith 111
أَخْبَرَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلَانَ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، ح وَأَنْبَأَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، وَاللَّفْظُ لَهُ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، عَنْ هِلَالِ بْنِ يَسَافٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي يَحْيَى ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، قال : رَأَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَوْمًا يَتَوَضَّئُونَ فَرَأَى أَعْقَابَهُمْ تَلُوحُ ، فَقَالَ : " وَيْلٌ لِلْأَعْقَابِ مِنَ النَّارِ ، أَسْبِغُوا الْوُضُوءَ " .
´It was narrated that 'Abdullah bin 'Amr said:` "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) saw some people whose heels were still dry, so he said: 'Woe to the heels from the Fire. Perform Wudu' properly.'"
Hadith 119
أَخْبَرَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَظِيمِ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا حَرْبُ بْنُ شَدَّادٍ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ الضَّمْرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، أَنَّهُ رَأَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " تَوَضَّأَ وَمَسَحَ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ " .
It was narrated from Ja'far bin 'Amr bin Umayyah Ad-Damri that his father saw the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) performing Wudu' and wiping over his Khuffs.
Hadith 194
أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، قال : أَنْبَأَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ زَائِدَةَ ، ح وأَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، وَاللَّفْظُ لَهُ ، أَنْبَأَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ ، عَنْ الرُّكَيْنِ بْنِ الرَّبِيعِ بْنِ عَمِيلَةَ الْفَزَارِيِّ ، عَنْ حُصَيْنِ بْنِ قَبِيصَةَ ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، قال : كُنْتُ رَجُلًا مَذَّاءً ، فَسَأَلْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : " إِذَا رَأَيْتَ الْمَذْيَ فَتَوَضَّأْ وَاغْسِلْ ذَكَرَكَ ، وَإِذَا رَأَيْتَ فَضْخَ الْمَاءِ فَاغْتَسِلْ " .
´It was narrated that 'Ali said:` "I was one who had a lot of prostatic discharge, so I asked the Prophet (ﷺ) and he said: 'If you see Madhi (prostatic fluid) then perform Wudu' and wash your penis, but if you see semen ejaculated, then perform Ghusl.'"
Hadith 225
أَخْبَرَنَا مُجَاهِدُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ ، قال : حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ ، قال : حَدَّثَنِي مُحِلُّ بْنُ خَلِيفَةَ ، قال : حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو السَّمْحِ ، قال : كُنْتُ أَخْدُمُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَكَانَ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَغْتَسِلَ ، قَالَ : " وَلِّنِي قَفَاكَ ، فَأُوَلِّيهِ قَفَايَ ، فَأَسْتُرُهُ بِهِ " .
´Abu As-Samh said:` "I used to serve the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and when he wanted to perform Ghusl he said: 'Turn your back.' So I turned my back to him and concealed him."
Hadith 226
أَخْبَرَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي مُرَّةَ مَوْلَى عَقِيلِ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ، عَنْ أُمِّ هَانِئٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا ، أَنَّهَا ذَهَبَتْ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ الْفَتْحِ فَوَجَدَتْهُ " يَغْتَسِلُ وَفَاطِمَةُ تَسْتُرُهُ بِثَوْبٍ ، فَسَلَّمَتْ ، فَقَالَ : مَنْ هَذَا ؟ قُلْتُ : أُمُّ هَانِئٍ ، فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ مِنْ غُسْلِهِ ، قَامَ فَصَلَّى ثَمَانِيَ رَكَعَاتٍ فِي ثَوْبٍ مُلْتَحِفًا بِهِ " .
´It was narrated from Umm Hani' that she went to the Prophet (ﷺ) on the day of the Conquest (of Makkah) and found him performing Ghusl while Fatimah was concealing him with a garment. She gave him Salams and he said:` "Who is this?" She said: "Umm Hani'." When he had finished his Ghusl he stood up and prayed eight Rak'ahs wrapped in a garment.
Hadith 241
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ ، عَنْ أُمِّ هَانِئٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " اغْتَسَلَ هُوَ وَمَيْمُونَةُ مِنْ إِنَاءٍ وَاحِدٍ فِي قَصْعَةٍ فِيهَا أَثَرُ الْعَجِينِ " .
It was narrated from Umm Hani' that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) performed Ghusl, he and Maimunah from a single vessel, a bowl in which there were traces of dough.
Hadith 253
أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، أَنْبَأَنَا الْحَسَنُ وَهُوَ ابْنُ صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، ح وحَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ الْأَسْوَدِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا ، قالت : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " لَا يَتَوَضَّأُ بَعْدَ الْغُسْلِ " .
´It was narrated that 'Aishah said:` "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used not to perform Wudu' after Ghusl."
Hadith 256
أَخْبَرَنَا حُمَيْدُ بْنُ مَسْعَدَةَ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ بْنِ حَبِيبٍ ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، ح وحَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، عَنْ الْحَكَمِ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ الْأَسْوَدِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا ، قالت : كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَقَالَ عَمْرٌو : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَأْكُلَ أَوْ يَنَامَ وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ تَوَضَّأَ " . زَادَ عَمْرٌو فِي حَدِيثِهِ : وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلَاةِ .
´It was narrated that 'Aishah said:` "If the Prophet (ﷺ)" - (one of the narrators) 'Amr said: "If the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)" - "wanted to eat or sleep while he was Junub, he would perform Wudu'." In his narration, 'Amr (one of the narrators) added: "Wudu' was for prayer."
Hadith 305
أَخْبَرَنَا مُجَاهِدُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ ، قال : حَدَّثَنِي مُحِلُّ بْنُ خَلِيفَةَ ، قال : حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو السَّمْحِ ، قال : قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " يُغْسَلُ مِنْ بَوْلِ الْجَارِيَةِ وَيُرَشُّ مِنْ بَوْلِ الْغُلَامِ " .
´Abu As-Samh said:` "The Prophet (ﷺ) said: 'A girl's urine should be washed away and a boy's urine should be sprinkled with water.'"
Hadith 317
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي مَالِكٍ ، وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبْزَى ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبْزَى ، قال : كُنَّا عِنْدَ عُمَرَ فَأَتَاهُ رَجُلٌ ، فَقَالَ : يَا أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ، رُبَّمَا نَمْكُثُ الشَّهْرَ وَالشَّهْرَيْنِ وَلَا نَجِدُ الْمَاءَ فَقَالَ عُمَرُ : أَمَّا أَنَا ، فَإِذَا لَمْ أَجِدِ الْمَاءَ لَمْ أَكُنْ لِأُصَلِّيَ حَتَّى أَجِدَ الْمَاءَ ، فَقَالَ عَمَّارُ بْنُ يَاسِرٍ : أَتَذْكُرُ يَا أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ حَيْثُ كُنْتَ بِمَكَانِ كَذَا وَكَذَا وَنَحْنُ نَرْعَى الْإِبِلَ ، فَتَعْلَمُ أَنَّا أَجْنَبْنَا ؟ قال : نَعَمْ ، أَمَّا أَنَا فَتَمَرَّغْتُ فِي التُّرَابِ ، فَأَتَيْنَا النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَضَحِكَ ، فَقَالَ : " إِنْ كَانَ الصَّعِيدُ لَكَافِيكَ ، وَضَرَبَ بِكَفَّيْهِ إِلَى الْأَرْضِ ، ثُمَّ نَفَخَ فِيهِمَا ، ثُمَّ مَسَحَ وَجْهَهُ وَبَعْضَ ذِرَاعَيْهِ " . فَقَالَ : اتَّقِ اللَّهَ يَا عَمَّارُ ، فَقَالَ : يَا أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ، إِنْ شِئْتَ لَمْ أَذْكُرْهُ ، قَالَ : وَلَكِنْ نُوَلِّيكَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ مَا تَوَلَّيْتَ .
´It was narrated that 'Abddur-Rahman bin Abza said:` "We were with 'Umar when a man came to him and said: 'O Commander of the Believers! sometimes we stay for a month or two without finding any water. Umar said: As if I did not find water, I would not pray until I found water.' 'Ammar bin Yasir said: 'Do you remember, O Commander of the Believer, when you were in such and such a place and we were rearing the camels, and you know that we became Junub?' He said: 'Yes.' 'As for me I rolled in the dust, then we came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and he laughed and said: "Clean earth would have been sufficient for you." And he struck his hands on the earth then blew on them, then he wiped his face and part of his forearms. He ('Umar) said: "Fear Allah, O 'Ammar!'" He said: 'O Commander of the Believers! If you wish I will not mention it.' He said: 'No, we will let you bear the burden of what you took upon yourself.'"
Hadith 342
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ الْمِقْدَامِ بْنِ شُرَيْحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا ، قالت : " كُنْتُ أَتَعَرَّقُ الْعَرْقَ ، فَيَضَعُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَاهُ حَيْثُ وَضَعْتُهُ وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ ، وَكُنْتُ أَشْرَبُ مِنَ الْإِنَاءِ فَيَضَعُ فَاهُ حَيْثُ وَضَعْتُ وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ " .

Hadith 404
أَخْبَرَنَا شُعَيْبُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ ، عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي قَيْسٍ ، قال : سَأَلْتُ عَائِشَةَ : كَيْفَ كَانَ نَوْمُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الْجَنَابَةِ ، أَيَغْتَسِلُ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَنَامَ أَوْ يَنَامُ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَغْتَسِلَ ؟ قَالَتْ : كُلُّ ذَلِكَ قَدْ كَانَ يَفْعَلُ " رُبَّمَا اغْتَسَلَ فَنَامَ وَرُبَّمَا تَوَضَّأَ فَنَامَ " .
´It was narrated that 'Abdullah bin Abi Qais said:` "I asked 'Aishah: 'How did the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) sleep while he was Junub? Did he perform Ghusl before sleeping or sleep before performing Ghusl?' She said: 'He did both. Sometimes he would perform Ghusl then sleep, and sometimes he would perform Wudu' then sleep.'"
Hadith 430
أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، ح وَأَنْبَأَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ الْأَسْوَدِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قالت : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " لَا يَتَوَضَّأُ بَعْدَ الْغُسْلِ " .
´It was narrated that 'Aishah said:` "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) would not perform Wudu' after Ghusl."
Hadith 457
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ ، عَنْ بُكَيْرِ بْنِ الْأَخْنَسِ ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قال : " فُرِضَتِ الصَّلَاةُ عَلَى لِسَانِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الْحَضَرِ أَرْبَعًا وَفِي السَّفَرِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ وَفِي الْخَوْفِ رَكْعَةً " .
´It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbas said:` "The Salah was enjoined on the lips of the Prophet (ﷺ), four Rak'ahs while resident, and two while traveling, and one Rak'ah during times of fear."
Hadith 608
أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " صَلَّى الْمَغْرِبَ وَالْعِشَاءَ بِالْمُزْدَلِفَةِ " .
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that the Prophet (ﷺ) prayed Maghrib and 'Isha' at Al-Muzdalifah.
Hadith 649
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ نَحْوَهُ ، قال أَبُو عَبْد الرَّحْمَنِ : وَلَيْسَ بِأَبِي جَعْفَرٍ الْفَرَّاءِ .
´Sufyan narrated a similar report with the same chain. (One of the narrators) (Abu) 'Abdur-Rahman (An-Nasai) said:` "It is not Abu Ja'far Al-Farra'."
Hadith 659
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ الْحَكَمِ ، وَسَلَمَةُ بْنُ كُهَيْلٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، أَنَّهُ " صَلَّى الْمَغْرِبَ وَالْعِشَاءَ بِجَمْعٍ بِإِقَامَةٍ وَاحِدَةٍ " . ثُمَّ حَدَّثَ عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنَّهُ صَنَعَ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ ، وَحَدَّثَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَنَعَ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ .
It was narrated from Sa'eed bin Jubair that he prayed Maghrib and 'Isha' in Jam' (Muzdalifah) with one Iqamah, then he narrated that Ibn 'Umar had done that, and Ibn 'Umar narrated that the Prophet (S.A.W) had done that.
Hadith 666
أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ ، قال : أَنْبَأَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، عَنْ الْحَكَمِ ، عَنْ ابْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ رُبَيِّعَةَ ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي سَفَرٍ ، فَسَمِعَ صَوْتَ رَجُلٍ يُؤَذِّنُ ، فَقَالَ مِثْلَ قَوْلِهِ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : " إِنَّ هَذَا لَرَاعِي غَنَمٍ أَوْ عَازِبٌ عَنْ أَهْلِهِ ، فَنَظَرُوا ، فَإِذَا هُوَ رَاعِي غَنَمٍ " .
´It was narrated from 'Abdullah bin Rubayyi'ah that he was with the Messenger of Allah (S.A.W) on a journey and he heard the voice of a man calling the Adhan, and he said what he said. Then he said:` "This is a shepherd or a man who is away from his family." So they looked and so it was a shepherd.
Hadith 773
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ عَوْنِ بْنِ أَبِي جُحَيْفَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " خَرَجَ فِي حُلَّةٍ حَمْرَاءَ فَرَكَزَ عَنَزَةً فَصَلَّى إِلَيْهَا يَمُرُّ مِنْ وَرَائِهَا الْكَلْبُ وَالْمَرْأَةُ وَالْحِمَارُ " .
It was narrated from Awn bin Abi Juhaifah, from his father that, the Messenger of Allah(ﷺ) went out in a red Hullah, and he set up a short spear (Anazah) and prayed facing toward it, while dogs, women and donkeys were passing beyond it.
Hadith 835
أَخْبَرَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَظِيمِ الْعَنْبَرِيُّ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ أَبِي عَائِشَةَ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قال : دَخَلْتُ عَلَى عَائِشَةَ فَقُلْتُ : أَلَا تُحَدِّثِينِي عَنْ مَرَضِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَتْ : لَمَّا ثَقُلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ : " أَصَلَّى النَّاسُ " فَقُلْنَا : لَا وَهُمْ يَنْتَظِرُونَكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ فَقَالَ : " ضَعُوا لِي مَاءً فِي الْمِخْضَبِ " فَفَعَلْنَا فَاغْتَسَلَ ثُمَّ ذَهَبَ لِيَنُوءَ فَأُغْمِيَ عَلَيْهِ ، ثُمَّ أَفَاقَ فَقَالَ : " أَصَلَّى النَّاسُ " قُلْنَا : لَا هُمْ يَنْتَظِرُونَكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ فَقَالَ : " ضَعُوا لِي مَاءً فِي الْمِخْضَبِ " فَفَعَلْنَا فَاغْتَسَلَ ، ثُمَّ ذَهَبَ لِيَنُوءَ ، ثُمَّ أُغْمِيَ عَلَيْهِ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : فِي الثَّالِثَةِ مِثْلَ قَوْلِهِ قَالَتْ : وَالنَّاسُ عُكُوفٌ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ يَنْتَظِرُونَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِصَلَاةِ الْعِشَاءِ فَأَرْسَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَى أَبِي بَكْرٍ أَنْ صَلِّ بِالنَّاسِ فَجَاءَهُ الرَّسُولُ فَقَالَ : إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَأْمُرُكَ أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ بِالنَّاسِ وَكَانَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ رَجُلًا رَقِيقًا فَقَالَ : يَا عُمَرُ صَلِّ بِالنَّاسِ فَقَالَ : أَنْتَ أَحَقُّ بِذَلِكَ فَصَلَّى بِهِمْ أَبُو بَكْرٍ تِلْكَ الْأَيَّامَ ، ثُمَّ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَجَدَ مِنْ نَفْسِهِ خِفَّةً فَجَاءَ يُهَادَى بَيْنَ رَجُلَيْنِ أَحَدُهُمَا الْعَبَّاسُ لِصَلَاةِ الظُّهْرِ فَلَمَّا رَآهُ أَبُو بَكْرٍ ذَهَبَ لِيَتَأَخَّرَ فَأَوْمَأَ إِلَيْهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ لَا يَتَأَخَّرَ وَأَمَرَهُمَا فَأَجْلَسَاهُ إِلَى جَنْبِهِ فَجَعَلَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ يُصَلِّي قَائِمًا وَالنَّاسُ يُصَلُّونَ بِصَلَاةِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي قَاعِدًا فَدَخَلْتُ عَلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ فَقُلْتُ أَلَا أَعْرِضُ عَلَيْكَ مَا حَدَّثَتْنِي عَائِشَةُ عَنْ مَرَضِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : نَعَمْ فَحَدَّثْتُهُ فَمَا أَنْكَرَ مِنْهُ شَيْئًا غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ أَسَمَّتْ لَكَ الرَّجُلَ الَّذِي كَانَ مَعَ الْعَبَّاسِ قُلْتُ : لَا ، قَالَ : هُوَ عَلِيٌّ كَرَّمَ اللَّهُ وَجْهَهُ .
´It was narrated that 'Ubaidullah bin 'Abdullah said:` "I entered upon Aisha and said: 'Will you not tell me about the sickness of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)?' She said: 'When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), became seriously ill, he said: "Have the people prayed?" We said: "No, they are waiting for you, 0 Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)" He said: "Put some water in a tub for me." We did that and he performed Ghusl, then he tried to get up but he fainted. Then he came to us and said: "Have the people prayed?" We said: "No, they are waiting for you, 0 Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)." He said: "Put some water in a tub for me." We did that and he performed Ghusl, then he tried to get up but he fainted. Then for the third time he said the same thing. She said: The people were in the Masjid, waiting for the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) to lead the prayer. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) sent word to Abu Bakr, telling him to lead the people in prayer, so the messenger came to him and said: "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) is telling you to lead the people in prayer." Abu Bakr was a tenderhearted man, he said: "0 'Umar. lead the in prayer." But ('Umar) said: "You have more right to that." So Abu Bakr led them in prayer during those days. When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) felt a little better, he came with the help of two men, one of whom was Al-'Abbas, to pray Zuhr. When Abu Bakr saw him, he wanted to step back, but the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) gestured to him not to step back. He told them (the two men) to seat him beside Abu Bakr, and Abu Bakr started to pray standing. The people were following the prayer of Abu Bakr and the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was praying sitting."' "I ('Ubaidullah) entered upon Ibn Abbas and said 'Shall I not tell you what Aisha narrated to me about the sickness of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)?' He said: 'Yes.' So I told him and he did not deny any of it, but he said: 'Did she tell you the name of the man who was with Al-'Abbas?' I said: 'No.' He said: 'That was Ali, may Allah honor his face."'
Hadith 889
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ ، عَنِ الْحَجَّاجِ بْنِ أَبِي زَيْنَبَ ، قال : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عُثْمَانَ يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ ، قال : " رَآنِيَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَقَدْ وَضَعْتُ شِمَالِي عَلَى يَمِينِي فِي الصَّلَاةِ فَأَخَذَ بِيَمِينِي فَوَضَعَهَا عَلَى شِمَالِي " .
´It was narrated that Al Hajjaj bin Abi Zainab said:` X"I heard Abu Uthman narrate that Ibn Mas'ud said: 'The Prophet (ﷺ) saw me when I had placed my left hand on my right in prayer. He took hold of my right hand and placed it on my left.'"
Hadith 898
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ قال : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، قال : حَدَّثَنِي عَمِّي الْمَاجِشُونُ بْنُ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي رَافِعٍ ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا اسْتَفْتَحَ الصَّلَاةَ كَبَّرَ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : " وَجَّهْتُ وَجْهِيَ لِلَّذِي فَطَرَ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ حَنِيفًا وَمَا أَنَا مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ إِنَّ صَلَاتِي وَنُسُكِي وَمَحْيَايَ وَمَمَاتِي لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ وَبِذَلِكَ أُمِرْتُ وَأَنَا مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ الْمَلِكُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ أَنَا عَبْدُكَ ظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِي وَاعْتَرَفْتُ بِذَنْبِي فَاغْفِرْ لِي ذُنُوبِي جَمِيعًا لَا يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ وَاهْدِنِي لِأَحْسَنِ الْأَخْلَاقِ لَا يَهْدِي لِأَحْسَنِهَا إِلَّا أَنْتَ وَاصْرِفْ عَنِّي سَيِّئَهَا لَا يَصْرِفُ عَنِّي سَيِّئَهَا إِلَّا أَنْتَ لَبَّيْكَ وَسَعْدَيْكَ وَالْخَيْرُ كُلُّهُ فِي يَدَيْكَ وَالشَّرُّ لَيْسَ إِلَيْكَ أَنَا بِكَ وَإِلَيْكَ تَبَارَكْتَ وَتَعَالَيْتَ أَسْتَغْفِرُكَ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْكَ " .
´It was narrated from Ali, may Allah be pleased with him, that:` When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) started to pray, he would say Takbir, then say: "Wajahtu wajhi lilladhi fataras-samawatiwal-arda hanifan wa ma ana minal-mushrikin. Inna salati wa nusuki wa mahyaya wa mamati lillahi rabbil-alamin, la sharika lahu, wa bidhalika umirtu wa ana min al-muslimin. Allahumma! Antal-maliku la ilaha illa ant, ana abduka zalamtu nafsi wa'taraftu bidhanbi faghfirli dhunubi jami'an, la yaghfirudhunuba illa anta, wahdini lihasanil-ahklaqi, la yahdi li ahsaniha illa anta wasrif anni sayy'aha la yasrifu anni sayy'aha illa anta, labaika wa sa'daika, wal-khairu kulluhu fi yadaika wash-sharru laisa ilaika ana bika wa ilaika ana bika wa ilaika tabarkta wa ta'alaita astaghfiruka wa atubu ilaik. (Verily, I have turned my face toward Him who created the Heavens and the Earth hanifa (worhsipping none but Allah Alone), and I am not of the idolaters. Verily, my salah, my sacrifice, my living, and my dying are for Allah, the Lord of the all that exists. He has no partner. And of this I have been commanded, and I am one of the Muslims. O Allah, You are the Sovereign and there is none worthy of worship but You. I am Your slave, I have wronged myself and I acknowledge my sin. Forgive me all my sins for no one forgives sins but You. Guide me to the best of manners for none can guide to the best of them but You. Protect me from bad manners for none can protect against them but You. I am at Your service, all goodness is in Your hands, and evil is not attributed to You. I rely on You and turn to You, blessed and exalted are You, I seek Your forgiveness and repent to You."
Hadith 948
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ قال : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، قال : أَنْبَأَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ ، عَنْ شَبِيبٍ أَبِي رَوْحٍ ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ صَلَّى صَلَاةَ الصُّبْحِ فَقَرَأَ الرُّومَ فَالْتَبَسَ عَلَيْهِ فَلَمَّا صَلَّى قَالَ : " مَا بَالُ أَقْوَامٍ يُصَلُّونَ مَعَنَا لَا يُحْسِنُونَ الطُّهُورَ فَإِنَّمَا يَلْبِسُ عَلَيْنَا الْقُرْآنَ أُولَئِكَ " .
´It was narrated from Shabib Abi Rawh, from a man among the companions of the Prophet (ﷺ), that:` He prayed Subh and recited Ar-Rum, but he stumbled in his recitation. When he had finished praying he said: 'What is the matter with people who pray with us without purifying themselves properly? Those people make us stumble in reciting Quran.'"
Hadith 956
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ قال : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قال : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ . ح ، وَأَنْبَأَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ وَاللَّفْظُ لَهُ ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " كَانَ يَقْرَأُ فِي صَلَاةِ الصُّبْحِ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ الم تَنْزِيلُ ، وَهَلْ أَتَى " .
´It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that:` The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to recite: "Alif-Lam-Mim. The revelation of the Book" and: "Has there not been over man" in Subh prayer on Friday.
Hadith 978
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا أَبَانُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قال : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " يَقْرَأُ فِي الظُّهْرِ وَالْعَصْرِ فِي الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ الْأُولَيَيْنِ بِأُمِّ الْقُرْآنِ وَسُورَتَيْنِ وَفِي الْأُخْرَيَيْنِ بِأُمِّ الْقُرْآنِ وَكَانَ يُسْمِعُنَا الْآيَةَ أَحْيَانًا وَكَانَ يُطِيلُ أَوَّلَ رَكْعَةٍ مِنْ صَلَاةِ الظُّهْرِ " .
´It was narrated from Abdullah bin Abi Qatadah that his father said:` "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to recite the Umm Al-Quran and two surahs in the first two rak'ahs of Zuhr and 'Asr, and in the last two with Umm Al-Quran, and he would make us hear a verse sometimes, and he used to make the first rak'ah lengthy."
Hadith 980
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ " يَقْرَأُ فِي الظُّهْرِ وَالْعَصْرِ بِالسَّمَاءِ ذَاتِ الْبُرُوجِ ، وَالسَّمَاءِ وَالطَّارِقِ وَنَحْوِهِمَا " .
´It was narrated from Jabir bin Samurah that :` The Prophet (ﷺ) used to recite "By the heaven holding the big stars" and: "By the heaven, and At-Tariq (the night-comer, i.e. the bright star)" and similar surahs in Zuhr and 'Asr.
Hadith 981
أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ ، قال : كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " يَقْرَأُ فِي الظُّهْرِ وَ اللَّيْلِ إِذَا يَغْشَى وَفِي الْعَصْرِ نَحْوَ ذَلِكَ وَفِي الصُّبْحِ بِأَطْوَلَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ " .
´It was narrated that Jabir bin Samurah said:` "The Prophet (ﷺ) used to recite "By the night as it envelops" in Zuhr and something similar in 'Asr, and he would recite something longer than that in subh."
Hadith 985
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ مُحَارِبِ بْنِ دِثَارٍ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، قال : مَرَّ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ بِنَاضِحَيْنِ عَلَى مُعَاذٍ وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي الْمَغْرِبَ فَافْتَتَحَ بِسُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ فَصَلَّى الرَّجُلُ ، ثُمَّ ذَهَبَ فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ : " أَفَتَّانٌ يَا مُعَاذُ ، أَفَتَّانٌ يَا مُعَاذُ أَلَّا قَرَأْتَ " سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى وَ الشَّمْسِ وَضُحَاهَا وَنَحْوِهِمَا .
´It was narrated that Jabir said:` "A man from among the Ansar passed Mu'adh leading two camels, when he (Mu'adh) was praying maghrib, and he was starting to recite Al-Baqarah. So that man prayed then went away. News of that reached the Prophet (ﷺ) and he said: 'Do you want to cause hardship to the people, O Mu'adh; do you want to cause hardship to the people, O Mu'adh? Why don't you recite: 'Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High' and 'By the sun and its brightness' and the like?'"
Hadith 997
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ قال : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، عَنْ هِلَالِ بْنِ يَسَافٍ ، عَنْ رَبِيعِ بْنِ خُثَيْمٍ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى ، عَنِ امْرَأَةٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ ثُلُثُ الْقُرْآنِ " . قَالَ أَبُو عَبْد الرَّحْمَنِ : مَا أَعْرِفُ إِسْنَادًا أَطْوَلَ مِنْ هَذَا .
´It was narrated from Abu Ayyub that:` The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Say: He is Allah, (the) One" is one-third of the Quran."
Hadith 1009
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، وَابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عُبَيْدَةَ ، عَنِ الْمُسْتَوْرِدِ بْنِ الْأَحْنَفِ ، عَنْ صِلَةَ بْنِ زُفَرَ ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ " أَنَّهُ صَلَّى إِلَى جَنْبِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَيْلَةً فَقَرَأَ فَكَانَ إِذَا مَرَّ بِآيَةِ عَذَابٍ وَقَفَ وَتَعَوَّذَ وَإِذَا مَرَّ بِآيَةِ رَحْمَةٍ وَقَفَ فَدَعَا وَكَانَ يَقُولُ فِي رُكُوعِهِ سُبْحَانَ رَبِّيَ الْعَظِيمِ وَفِي سُجُودِهِ سُبْحَانَ رَبِّيَ الْأَعْلَى " .
´It was narrated from Hudhaifah that:` He prayed beside the Prophet (ﷺ) one night. He recited, and when he came to a verse that mentioned punishment, he would pause and seek refuge with Allah; if he came to a verse that mentioned mercy, he would pause for mercy. In his bowing he would say: 'Subhana Rabbil-Azim (Glory be to my Lord Almighty)' and in his prostration he would say: 'Subhan Rabbil-A'la (Glory be to my Lord the Most High).'"
Hadith 1015
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرُ بْنُ حَازِمٍ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، قال : سَأَلْتُ أَنَسًا كَيْفَ كَانَتْ قِرَاءَةُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ . قَالَ : " كَانَ يَمُدُّ صَوْتَهُ مَدًّا " .
´It was narrated that Qatadah said:` "I asked Anas: 'How did the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) recite Quran?' He said: 'He used to elongate the sounds.'"
Hadith 1051
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا عَمِّي الْمَاجِشُونُ بْنُ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي رَافِعٍ ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا رَكَعَ قَالَ : اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ رَكَعْتُ وَلَكَ أَسْلَمْتُ وَبِكَ آمَنْتُ خَشَعَ لَكَ سَمْعِي وَبَصَرِي وَعِظَامِي وَمُخِّي وَعَصَبِي " .
´It was narrated from Ali bin Abi Talib that:` When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) bowed, he said: "Allahumma laka rak`atu was laka aslamtu wa bika amantu, khasha`a laka sam`i wa basri wa `izami wa mukhi wa `asabi (O Allah, to You I have bowed and to You I have submitted and in You I have believed. My hearing, sight, bones, brain and sinews are humbled before You)."
Hadith 1077
أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، وَشُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ . ح ، وأَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، وَسُفْيَانَ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ مُرَّةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى ، عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " كَانَ يَقْنُتُ فِي الصُّبْحِ وَالْمَغْرِبِ " وَقَالَ عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ .
´It was narrated from Al-Bara' bin 'Azib that:` The Prophet (ﷺ) used to say the Qunut in Subh and Maghrib. (One of the narrators) 'Ubaidullah said: "Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) used to."
Hadith 1127
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ هُوَ ابْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، قال : حَدَّثَنِي عَمِّي الْمَاجِشُونُ بْنُ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي رَافِعٍ ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " كَانَ إِذَا سَجَدَ يَقُولُ اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ سَجَدْتُ وَلَكَ أَسْلَمْتُ وَبِكَ آمَنْتُ سَجَدَ وَجْهِي لِلَّذِي خَلَقَهُ وَصَوَّرَهُ فَأَحْسَنَ صُورَتَهُ وَشَقَّ سَمْعَهُ وَبَصَرَهُ تَبَارَكَ اللَّهُ أَحْسَنُ الْخَالِقِينَ " .
´It was narrated from 'Ali that:` When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) prostrated he would say: "Allahumma laka sajadtu wa laka aslamtu wa bika amantu sajada wajhi lilladhi khalaqahu wa sawwarahu fa ahsana suratahu wa shaqqa sam'ahu wa basarahu, tabarak Allahu ahsanul-khaliqin ( O Allah, to You I have prostrated and to You I have submitted, and in You I have believed. My face has prostrated to the One Who created it and shaped it and shaped it well, and brought forth its hearing and sight. Blessed be Allah the best of Creators.)"
Hadith 1197
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ ، عَنْ أَشْعَثَ بْنِ أَبِي الشَّعْثَاءِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا , قَالَتْ : سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الِالْتِفَاتِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ , فَقَالَ : " اخْتِلَاسٌ يَخْتَلِسُهُ الشَّيْطَانُ مِنَ الصَّلَاةِ ".
´It was narrated that 'Aishah, may Allah (SWT) be pleased with her, said:` "I asked the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) about looking here and there during prayer. He said: 'That is something that the Shaitan snatches from one's prayer.'"
Hadith 1198
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ ، عَنْ أَشْعَثَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِمِثْلِهِ .
´Narrated from 'Aishah:` A similar report was also narrated from 'Aishah, from the Prophet (ﷺ).
Hadith 1199
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ ، عَنْ أَشْعَثَ بْنِ أَبِي الشَّعْثَاءِ ، عَنْ أَبِي عَطِيَّةَ ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِمِثْلِهِ .
´Narrated from 'Aishah:` A similar report was also narrated from 'Aishah, from the Prophet (ﷺ).
