Hadith 721
وحَدَّثَنِي سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ مَعْبَدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَلَّى بْنُ أَسَدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُخْتَارٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الدَّانَاجِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو رَافِعٍ الصَّائِغُ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : أَوْصَانِي خَلِيلِي ، أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، بِثَلَاثٍ ، فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَ حَدِيثِ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ ، عَنِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ .
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported: My friend Abu'l-Qasim (ﷺ) instructed me to do three things, and the rest of the hadith is the same.
Hadith 726
حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبَّادٍ ، وَابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا مَرْوَانُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ هُوَ ابْنُ كَيْسَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، " قَرَأَ فِي رَكْعَتَيِ الْفَجْرِ ، قُلْ : يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ وَقُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ " .
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) recited in the two (supererogatory) rak'ahs of the dawn (prayer): "Say: O unbelievers," (Qur'an, cix.) and "Say: Allah is one" (cxii.).
Hadith 758
حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : قَرَأْتُ عَلَى مَالِكٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله الْأَغَرّ ، وَعَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " يَنْزِلُ رَبُّنَا تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى كُلَّ لَيْلَةٍ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ الدُّنْيَا حِينَ يَبْقَى ثُلُثُ اللَّيْلِ الآخِرُ ، فَيَقُولُ : مَنْ يَدْعُونِي فَأَسْتَجِيبَ لَهُ ؟ وَمَنْ يَسْأَلُنِي فَأُعْطِيَهُ ؟ وَمَنْ يَسْتَغْفِرُنِي فَأَغْفِرَ لَهُ ؟ " .
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: Our Lord, the Blessed and the Exalted, descends every night to the lowest heaven when one-third of the latter part of the night is left, and says: Who supplicates Me so that I may answer him? Who asks Me so that I may give to him? Who asks Me forgiveness so that I may forgive him?
Hadith 758
وحَدَّثَنَا وحَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ وَهُوَ ابْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْقَارِيُّ ، عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " يَنْزِلُ اللَّهُ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ الدُّنْيَا كُلَّ لَيْلَةٍ حِينَ يَمْضِي ثُلُثُ اللَّيْلِ الأَوَّلُ ، فَيَقُولُ : أَنَا الْمَلِكُ ، أَنَا الْمَلِكُ ، مَنْ ذَا الَّذِي يَدْعُونِي فَأَسْتَجِيبَ لَهُ ؟ مَنْ ذَا الَّذِي يَسْأَلُنِي فَأُعْطِيَهُ ؟ مَنْ ذَا الَّذِي يَسْتَغْفِرُنِي فَأَغْفِرَ لَهُ ؟ فَلَا يَزَالُ كَذَلِكَ حَتَّى يُضِيءَ الْفَجْرُ " .
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: Allah descends every night to the lowest heaven when one-third of the first part of the night is over and says: I am the Lord; I am the Lord: who is there to supplicate Me so that I answer him? Who is there to beg of Me so that I grant him? Who is there to beg forgiveness from Me so that I forgive him? He continues like this till the day breaks.
Hadith 758
حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاق بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْمُغِيرَةِ ، حَدَّثَنَا الأَوْزَاعِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا مَضَى شَطْرُ اللَّيْلِ أَوْ ثُلُثَاهُ ، يَنْزِلُ اللَّهُ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى إِلَى السَّمَاءِ الدُّنْيَا ، فَيَقُولُ : هَلْ مِنْ سَائِلٍ يُعْطَى ؟ هَلْ مِنْ دَاعٍ يُسْتَجَابُ لَهُ ؟ هَلْ مِنْ مُسْتَغْفِرٍ يُغْفَرُ لَهُ ؟ حَتَّى يَنْفَجِرَ الصُّبْحُ " .
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: When half of the night or two-third of it is over. Allah, the Blessed and the Exalted, descends to the lowest heaven and says: Is there any beggar, so that he be given? Is there any supplicator so that he be answered? Is there any beggar of forgiveness so that he be forgiven? (And Allah continues it saying) till it is daybreak.
Hadith 758
حَدَّثَنِي حَدَّثَنِي حَجَّاجُ بْنُ الشَّاعِرِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَاضِرٌ أَبُو الْمُوَرِّعِ ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعْدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ مَرْجَانَةَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، يَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " يَنْزِلُ اللَّهُ فِي السَّمَاءِ الدُّنْيَا لِشَطْرِ اللَّيْلِ أَوْ لِثُلُثِ اللَّيْلِ الآخِرِ ، فَيَقُولُ : مَنْ يَدْعُونِي فَأَسْتَجِيبَ لَهُ ؟ أَوْ يَسْأَلُنِي فَأُعْطِيَهُ " ، ثُمَّ يَقُولُ : مَنْ يُقْرِضُ غَيْرَ عَدِيمٍ وَلَا ظَلُومٍ ، قَالَ مُسْلِم ابْنُ مَرْجَانَةَ هُوَ سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، وَمَرْجَانَةُ أُمُّهُ ،
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: Allah descends to the lowest heaven at half of the night or at one-third of the latter part and says: Who is there to supplicate Me so that I answer him? Who is there to ask Me so that I grant him? And then says: Who will lend to One Who is neither indigent nor tyrant? (This hadith has been narrated by Sa'd bin Sa'id with the same chain of transmitters with this addition:" Then the Blessed and the Exalted (Lord) stretches His Hands and says: Who will lend to One Who is neither indigent nor tyrant? )
Hadith 758
حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ ، وَأَبُو بَكْرِ ابْنَا أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، وَإِسْحَاق بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْحَنْظَلِيُّ وَاللَّفْظُ لِابْنَي أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، قَالَ إِسْحَاق : أَخْبَرَنَا وَقَالَ الآخَرَانِ : حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاق ، عَنِ الأَغَرِّ أَبِي مُسْلِمٍ يَرْوِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، وَأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَا : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُمْهِلُ حَتَّى إِذَا ذَهَبَ ثُلُثُ اللَّيْلِ الأَوَّلُ ، نَزَلَ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ الدُّنْيَا ، فَيَقُولُ : هَلْ مِنْ مُسْتَغْفِرٍ ؟ هَلْ مِنْ تَائِبٍ ؟ هَلْ مِنْ سَائِلٍ ؟ هَلْ مِنْ دَاعٍ ؟ حَتَّى يَنْفَجِرَ الْفَجْرُ " .
Abu Sa'id and Abu Hurairah (RA) reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: Allah waits till when one-third of the first part of the night is over; He descends to the lowest heaven and says: It there any supplicator of forgiveness? Is there any penitent? Is there any petitioner (for mercy and favour)? Is there any solicitor? -till it is daybreak.
Hadith 759
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : قَرَأْتُ عَلَى مَالِكٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " مَنْ قَامَ رَمَضَانَ ، إِيمَانًا ، وَاحْتِسَابًا ، غُفِرَ لَهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ " .
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: He who observed prayer at night during Ramadan, because of faith and seeking his reward from Allah, his previous sins would be forgiven.
Hadith 759
وحَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يُرَغِّبُ فِي قِيَامِ رَمَضَانَ مِنْ غَيْرِ أَنْ يَأْمُرَهُمْ فِيهِ بِعَزِيمَةٍ ، فَيَقُولُ : " مَنْ قَامَ رَمَضَانَ ، إِيمَانًا ، وَاحْتِسَابًا ، غُفِرَ لَهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ " ، فَتُوُفِّيَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَالأَمْرُ عَلَى ذَلِكَ ، ثُمَّ كَانَ الأَمْرُ عَلَى ذَلِكَ فِي خِلَافَةِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ وَصَدْرًا مِنْ خِلَافَةِ عُمَرَ عَلَى ذَلِكَ .
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to exhort (his Companions) to pray (at night) during Ramadan without commanding them to observe it as an obligatory act, and say: He who observed the night prayer in Ramadan because of faith and seeking his reward (from Allah), all his previous sins would be forgiven. When Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) died, this was the practice, and it continued thus during Abu Bakr's caliphate and the early part of 'Umar's caliphate.
Hadith 760
وحَدَّثَنِي زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ حَدَّثَهُمْ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " مَنْ صَامَ رَمَضَانَ ، إِيمَانًا ، وَاحْتِسَابًا ، غُفِرَ لَهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ ، وَمَنْ قَامَ لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ ، إِيمَانًا ، وَاحْتِسَابًا ، غُفِرَ لَهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ " .
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: He who observed the fasts of Ramadan with faith and seeking reward (from Allah), all his previous sins would be forgiven, and he who observed prayer on Lailat-ul- Qadr with faith and seeking reward (from Allah), all his previous sins would be forgiven.
Hadith 760
حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شَبَابَةُ ، حَدَّثَنِي وَرْقَاءُ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ ، عَنِ الأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " مَنْ يَقُمْ لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ ، فَيُوَافِقُهَا أُرَاهُ قَالَ إِيمَانًا ، وَاحْتِسَابًا ، غُفِرَ لَهُ " .
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) as saying: He who prayed on the Lailat-ul-Qadr (the Majestic Night) knowing that it is (the same night). I (believe) that he (the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) also) said: (He who does) it with faith and seeking reward (from Allah), his sins would be forgiven.
Hadith 768
وحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " إِذَا قَامَ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ ، فَلْيَفْتَتِحْ صَلَاتَهُ بِرَكْعَتَيْنِ خَفِيفَتَيْنِ " .
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) as saying When any one of you gets up at night, he should begin the prayer with two short rak'ahs.
Hadith 776
حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرٌو النَّاقِدُ ، وَزُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ ، قَالَ عَمْرٌو ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ ، عَنِ الأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، يَبْلُغُ بِهِ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " يَعْقِدُ الشَّيْطَانُ عَلَى قَافِيَةِ رَأْسِ أَحَدِكُمْ ثَلَاثَ عُقَدٍ ، إِذَا نَامَ بِكُلِّ عُقْدَةٍ يَضْرِبُ عَلَيْكَ لَيْلًا طَوِيلًا ، فَإِذَا اسْتَيْقَظَ فَذَكَرَ اللَّهَ انْحَلَّتْ عُقْدَةٌ ، وَإِذَا تَوَضَّأَ انْحَلَّتْ عَنْهُ عُقْدَتَانِ ، فَإِذَا صَلَّى انْحَلَّتِ الْعُقَدُ ، فَأَصْبَحَ نَشِيطًا ، طَيِّبَ النَّفْسِ ، وَإِلَّا أَصْبَحَ خَبِيثَ النَّفْسِ ، كَسْلَانَ " .
Abu Hurairah (RA) transmitted it from the Apostle of Allah (ﷺ) : When any one of you goes to sleep, the devil ties three knots at the back of his neck, sealing every knot with:" You have a long night, so sleep." So if one awakes and mentions Allah, a knot will be loosened; if he performs ablution two knots are loosened; and if he prays (all) knots will be loosened, and in the morning he will be active and in good spirits; otherwise we will be in bad spirits and sluggish in the morning.
Hadith 780
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ وَهُوَ ابْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْقَارِيُّ ، عَنْ سُهَيْلٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " لَا تَجْعَلُوا بُيُوتَكُمْ مَقَابِرَ ، إِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ يَنْفِرُ مِنَ الْبَيْتِ الَّذِي تُقْرَأُ فِيهِ سُورَةُ الْبَقَرَةِ " .
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: Do not make your houses as graveyards. Satan runs away from the house in which Surah Baqarah is recited.
Hadith 787
وحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنْ هَمَّامِ بْنِ مُنَبِّهٍ ، قَالَ : هَذَا مَا حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَذَكَرَ أَحَادِيثَ مِنْهَا ، وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا قَامَ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ ، فَاسْتَعْجَمَ الْقُرْآنُ عَلَى لِسَانِهِ ، فَلَمْ يَدْرِ مَا يَقُولُ فَلْيَضْطَجِعْ " .
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: When any one of you gets up at night (for prayer) and his tongue falters in (the recitation) of the Qur'an, and he does not know what he is reciting, he should go to sleep.
Hadith 792
حَدَّثَنِي عَمْرٌو النَّاقِدُ ، وَزُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ يَبْلُغُ بِهِ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " مَا أَذِنَ اللَّهُ لِشَيْءٍ ، مَا أَذِنَ لِنَبِيٍّ يَتَغَنَّى بِالْقُرْآنِ " .
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported this directly from the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) : God has not listened to anything as He listens to a Prophet (ﷺ) reciting the Qur'an in a sweet voice.
Hadith 792
حَدَّثَنِي بِشْرُ بْنُ الْحَكَمِ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ وَهُوَ ابْنُ الْهَادِ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " مَا أَذِنَ اللَّهُ لِشَيْءٍ ، مَا أَذِنَ لِنَبِيٍّ حَسَنِ الصَّوْتِ ، يَتَغَنَّى بِالْقُرْآنِ ، يَجْهَرُ بِهِ " .
Abu Hurairah (RA) is reported to have heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: Allah does not listen to anything, (more approvingly) as He listens to a Prophet (ﷺ) reciting loudly the Qur'an in a sweet voice.
Hadith 793
وحَدَّثَنَا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، حَدَّثَنَا هِقْلٌ ، عَنِ الأَوْزَاعِيِّ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَا أَذِنَ اللَّهُ لِشَيْءٍ ، كَأَذَنِهِ لِنَبِيٍّ يَتَغَنَّى بِالْقُرْآنِ ، يَجْهَرُ بِهِ " .
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: Allah has not heard anything (more pleasing) than listening to the Prophet (ﷺ) reciting the Qur'an in a sweet loud voice.
Hadith 793
وحَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ ، وَقُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، وَابْنُ حُجْرٍ ، قَالُوا : حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيل وَهُوَ ابْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، مِثْلَ حَدِيثِ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، غَيْرَ أَنَّ ابْنَ أَيُّوبَ ، قَالَ فِي رِوَايَتِهِ : كَإِذْنِهِ .
This hadith has been narrated by another chain of transmitters but with a slight modification of words.
Hadith 802
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، وَأَبُو سَعِيدٍ الأَشَجُّ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَيُحِبُّ أَحَدُكُمْ إِذَا رَجَعَ إِلَى أَهْلِهِ ، أَنْ يَجِدَ فِيهِ ثَلَاثَ خَلِفَاتٍ عِظَامٍ سِمَانٍ ؟ قُلْنَا : نَعَمْ ، قَالَ : فَثَلَاثُ آيَاتٍ يَقْرَأُ بِهِنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ فِي صَلَاتِهِ ، خَيْرٌ لَهُ مِنْ ثَلَاثِ خَلِفَاتٍ عِظَامٍ سِمَانٍ " .
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: Would any one of you like, when he returns to his family, to find there three large, fat, pregnant she-camels? We said: Yes. Upon this he said: Three verses that one of you recites in his prayer are better for him than three large, fat, pregnant she-camels.
Hadith 812
وحَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ ، وَيَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ جميعا ، عَنْ يَحْيَى ، قَالَ ابْنُ حَاتِمٍ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ كَيْسَانَ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو حَازِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " احْشُدُوا ، فَإِنِّي سَأَقْرَأُ عَلَيْكُمْ ثُلُثَ الْقُرْآنِ ، فَحَشَدَ مَنْ حَشَدَ ، ثُمَّ خَرَجَ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَرَأَ : قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ ثُمَّ دَخَلَ ، فَقَالَ : بَعْضُنَا لِبَعْضٍ ، إِنِّي أُرَى هَذَا خَبَرٌ جَاءَهُ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ فَذَاكَ الَّذِي أَدْخَلَهُ ، ثُمَّ خَرَجَ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : إِنِّي قُلْتُ لَكُمْ : " سَأَقْرَأُ عَلَيْكُمْ ثُلُثَ الْقُرْآنِ ، أَلَا إِنَّهَا تَعْدِلُ ثُلُثَ الْقُرْآنِ " .
It is reported on the authority of Abu Hurairah (RA) that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Get together. for I am going to recite one-third of the Qur'an before you. And those who could get together gathered there. Then the Apostle of Allah (ﷺ) came out and recited:" Say: He, Allah, is One." He then entered (his house). Some of us said to the others: Perhaps there has been some news from the heaven on account of which he has gone Inside (the house). The Apostle of Allah (ﷺ) again came out and said: I told you that I was going to recite one-third of the Qur'an; keep in mind, this (Surah Ikhlas) is equivalent to one-third of the Qur'an.
Hadith 812
وحَدَّثَنَا وَاصِلُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الأَعْلَى ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ فُضَيْلٍ ، عَنْ بَشِيرٍ أَبِي إِسْمَاعِيل ، عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : خَرَجَ إِلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : " أَقْرَأُ عَلَيْكُمْ ثُلُثَ الْقُرْآنِ ؟ فَقَرَأَ : قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ { 1 } اللَّهُ الصَّمَدُ { 2 } سورة الإخلاص آية 1-2 حَتَّى خَتَمَهَا " .
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) came out to us and said: I am going to recite before you one-third of the Qur'an. He (the Holy Prophet) then recited:" Say: He is Allah, One--Allah, the Eternal," to the end of the Surah.
Hadith 825
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : قَرَأْتُ عَلَى مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ حَبَّانَ ، عَنِ الأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، " نَهَى عَنِ الصَّلَاةِ بَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ ، حَتَّى تَغْرُبَ الشَّمْسُ ، وَعَنِ الصَّلَاةِ بَعْدَ الصُّبْحِ ، حَتَّى تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ " .
Abu Hurairah (RA) is reported to have said that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) prohibited to observe prayer after the 'Asr prayer till the sun is set, and after the dawn till the sun rises.
Hadith 845
حَدَّثَنَا إسحاق بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ ، عَنْ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو سَلَمَةَ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : بَيْنَمَا عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ يَخْطُبُ النَّاسَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ ، إِذْ دَخَلَ عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَفَّانَ ، فَعَرَّضَ بِهِ عُمَرُ ، فَقَالَ : مَا بَالُ رِجَالٍ يَتَأَخَّرُونَ بَعْدَ النِّدَاءِ ، فَقَالَ عُثْمَانُ : يَا أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ مَا زِدْتُ حِينَ سَمِعْتُ النِّدَاءَ أَنْ تَوَضَّأْتُ ثُمَّ أَقْبَلْتُ ، فَقَالَ عُمَرُ : وَالْوُضُوءَ أَيْضًا أَلَمْ تَسْمَعُوا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " إِذَا جَاءَ أَحَدُكُمْ إِلَى الْجُمُعَةِ فَلْيَغْتَسِلْ " ؟ .
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported: Umar bin Khattab was delivering a sermon to the people on Friday when 'Uthman bin 'Affan came there. 'Umar hinting to him said: What would become of those persons who come after the call to prayer? Upon this 'Uthman said: Commander of the faithful, I did no more than this that after listening to the call, I performed ablution and came (to the mosque). 'Umar said: Just ablution! Did you not bear the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) (my peace be upon him) say this: When any one of you comes for Jumu'a, he should take a bath.
Hadith 849
وحَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ طَاوُسٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " حَقٌّ لِلَّهِ عَلَى كُلِّ مُسْلِمٍ ، أَنْ يَغْتَسِلَ فِي كُلِّ سَبْعَةِ أَيَّامٍ ، يَغْسِلُ رَأْسَهُ وَجَسَدَهُ " .
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported that the Apostle of Allah (ﷺ) said. it is the right of Allah upon every Muslim that he should take a bath (at least) on one day (Friday) during the seven days (of the week) and he should wash his head and body.
Hadith 850
وحَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ فِيمَا قُرِئَ عَلَيْهِ ، عَنْ سُمَيٍّ مَوْلَى أَبِي بَكْرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ السَّمَّانِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " مَنِ اغْتَسَلَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ غُسْلَ الْجَنَابَةِ ثُمَّ رَاحَ ، فَكَأَنَّمَا قَرَّبَ بَدَنَةً ، وَمَنْ رَاحَ فِي السَّاعَةِ الثَّانِيَةِ ، فَكَأَنَّمَا قَرَّبَ بَقَرَةً ، وَمَنْ رَاحَ فِي السَّاعَةِ الثَّالِثَةِ ، فَكَأَنَّمَا قَرَّبَ كَبْشًا أَقْرَنَ ، وَمَنْ رَاحَ فِي السَّاعَةِ الرَّابِعَةِ ، فَكَأَنَّمَا قَرَّبَ دَجَاجَةً ، وَمَنْ رَاحَ فِي السَّاعَةِ الْخَامِسَةِ ، فَكَأَنَّمَا قَرَّبَ بَيْضَةً ، فَإِذَا خَرَجَ الْإِمَامُ ، حَضَرَتِ الْمَلَائِكَةُ يَسْتَمِعُونَ الذِّكْرَ " .
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported that the Messenger of, Allah (ﷺ) said. He who takes a bath on Friday, the bath which is obligatory after the sexual discharge and then goes (to the mosque), he is like one who offers a she-camel as a sacrifice, and he who comes at the second hour would be like one who offers a cow, and he who comes at the third hour is live one who offers a ram with horns, and he who comes at the fourth hour is like one who offers a hen, and he who comes at the fifth hour is like one who offers an egg. And when the Imam comes out, the angels are also present and listen to the mention of God (the sermon).
Hadith 851
وحَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رُمْحِ بْنِ الْمُهَاجِرِ ، قَالَ ابْنُ رُمْحٍ : أَخْبَرَنَا اللَّيْثُ ، عَنْ عُقَيْلٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ الْمُسَيِّبِ ، أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " إِذَا قُلْتَ لِصَاحِبِكَ أَنْصِتْ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ ، وَالْإِمَامُ يَخْطُبُ فَقَدْ لَغَوْتَ " .
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: If you (even) ask your companion to be quiet on Friday while the Imam is delivering the sermon, you have in fact talked irrelevance.
Hadith 851
وحَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ شُعَيْبِ بْنِ اللَّيْثِ ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ، عَنْ جَدِّي ، حَدَّثَنِي عُقَيْلُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ قَارِظٍ ، وَعَنْ ابْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ أَنَّهُمَا حَدَّثَاهُ ، أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ بِمِثْلِهِ .
A hadith like this has been narrated by Abu Hurairah (RA) by another chain of transmitters.
Hadith 851
وحَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ ، عَنْ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " إِذَا قُلْتَ لِصَاحِبِكَ أَنْصِتْ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ ، وَالْإِمَامُ يَخْطُبُ ، فَقَدْ لَغِيتَ " . قَالَ أَبُو الزِّنَادِ : هِيَ لُغَةُ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، وَإِنَّمَا هُوَ فَقَدْ لَغَوْتَ .

Hadith 852
وحَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : قَرَأْتُ عَلَى مَالِكٍ . ح وحَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ ، عَنْ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ذَكَرَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ ، فَقَالَ : " فِيهِ سَاعَةٌ لَا يُوَافِقُهَا عَبْدٌ مُسْلِمٌ وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي ، يَسْأَلُ اللَّهَ شَيْئًا إِلَّا أَعْطَاهُ إِيَّاهُ " . زَادَ قُتَيْبَةُ فِي رِوَايَتِهِ : وَأَشَارَ بِيَدِهِ يُقَلِّلُهَا .
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: There is a time on Friday at which no Muslim servant would pray and would ask Allah for a thing (that is good) but He would give it to him. Qutaiba pointed with the help of his hand that it (the time) is short.
Hadith 852
حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَال أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " إِنَّ فِي الْجُمُعَةِ لَسَاعَةً لَا يُوَافِقُهَا مُسْلِمٌ قَائِمٌ يُصَلِّي ، يَسْأَلُ اللَّهَ خَيْرًا إِلَّا أَعْطَاهُ إِيَّاهُ " ، وَقَالَ : بِيَدِهِ يُقَلِّلُهَا يُزَهِّدُهَا .
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported Abu'l-Qasim (the kunya of the Holy Prophet) (ﷺ) as saying: There is a time on Friday at which no Muslim would stand and pray and beg Allah for what is good but He would give it to him; and he pointed with his hand that (this time) is short and narrow.
Hadith 852
حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَوْنٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِمِثْلِهِ .
A hadith like this has been narrated by Abu Hurairah (RA) .
Hadith 852
وحَدَّثَنِي حُمَيْدُ بْنُ مَسْعَدَةَ الْبَاهِلِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ مُفَضَّلٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا سَلَمَةُ وَهُوَ ابْنُ عَلْقَمَةَ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ : قَالَ أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِمِثْلِهِ .
This hadith has been narrated by Abu Hurairah (RA) by another chain of transmitters.
Hadith 852
وحَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ سَلَّامٍ الْجُمَحِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا الرَّبِيعُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ مُسْلِمٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " إِنَّ فِي الْجُمُعَةِ لَسَاعَةً لَا يُوَافِقُهَا مُسْلِمٌ ، يَسْأَلُ اللَّهَ فِيهَا خَيْرًا إِلَّا أَعْطَاهُ إِيَّاهُ " . قَالَ : وَهِيَ سَاعَةٌ خَفِيفَةٌ .
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) as saying. There is a time on Friday at which no Muslim would ask Allah for what is good but He would give it to him. And further said: This is a very short time.
Hadith 852
وحَدَّثَنَاه مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنْ هَمَّامِ بْنِ مُنَبِّهٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : وَلَمْ يَقُلْ وَهِيَ سَاعَةٌ خَفِيفَةٌ .
Hammam bin Munabbih reported this hadith from Abu Hurairah (RA) who reported from the Apostle of Allah (ﷺ) but he did not say: "That time is short."
Hadith 854
وحَدَّثَنِي حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ ، عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ الْأَعْرَجُ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، يَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " خَيْرُ يَوْمٍ طَلَعَتْ عَلَيْهِ الشَّمْسُ يَوْمُ الْجُمُعَةِ ، فِيهِ خُلِقَ آدَمُ ، وَفِيهِ أُدْخِلَ الْجَنَّةَ ، وَفِيهِ أُخْرِجَ مِنْهَا " .
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: The best day on which the sun has risen is Friday; on it Adam ؑwas created, on it he was made to enter Paradise, on it he was expelled from it.
Hadith 854
وحَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْمُغِيرَةُ يَعْنِي الْحِزَامِيَّ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ ، عَنْ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " خَيْرُ يَوْمٍ طَلَعَتْ عَلَيْهِ الشَّمْسُ يَوْمُ الْجُمُعَةِ ، فِيهِ خُلِقَ آدَمُ ، وَفِيهِ أُدْخِلَ الْجَنَّةَ ، وَفِيهِ أُخْرِجَ مِنْهَا ، وَلَا تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ إِلَّا فِي يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ " .
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: The best day on which the sun has risen is Friday; on it Adam ؑwas created, on it he was made to enter Paradise, on it he was expelled from it.
Hadith 855
وحَدَّثَنَا عَمْرٌو النَّاقِدُ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ ، عَنْ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " نَحْنُ الْآخِرُونَ وَنَحْنُ السَّابِقُونَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ، بَيْدَ أَنَّ كُلَّ أُمَّةٍ أُوتِيَتِ الْكِتَابَ مِنْ قَبْلِنَا ، وَأُوتِينَاهُ مِنْ بَعْدِهِمْ ، ثُمَّ هَذَا الْيَوْمُ الَّذِي كَتَبَهُ اللَّهُ عَلَيْنَا هَدَانَا اللَّهُ لَهُ ، فَالنَّاسُ لَنَا فِيهِ تَبَعٌ الْيَهُودُ غَدًا ، وَالنَّصَارَى بَعْدَ غَدٍ " .
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: We, who are the last shall be the first on the Day of Resurrection, except that every Ummah was given the Book before us and we were given it after them. It was this day which Allah prescribed for us and guided us to it and the people came after us with regard to it, the Jews observing the next day and the Christians the day following that.
Hadith 855
وحَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ ، عَنْ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، وَابْنِ طَاوُسٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " نَحْنُ الْآخِرُونَ ، وَنَحْنُ السَّابِقُونَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ " بِمِثْلِهِ .
A hadith like this has been narrated by Abu Hurairah (RA) that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: We are the last and would be the first on the Day of Resurrection.
Hadith 855
وحَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، وَزُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ ، عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " نَحْنُ الْآخِرُونَ الْأَوَّلُونَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ، وَنَحْنُ أَوَّلُ مَنْ يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ ، بَيْدَ أَنَّهُمْ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ مِنْ قَبْلِنَا ، وَأُوتِينَاهُ مِنْ بَعْدِهِمْ فَاخْتَلَفُوا فَهَدَانَا اللَّهُ لِمَا اخْتَلَفُوا فِيهِ مِنَ الْحَقِّ ، فَهَذَا يَوْمُهُمُ الَّذِي اخْتَلَفُوا فِيهِ هَدَانَا اللَّهُ لَهُ " ، قَالَ : " يَوْمُ الْجُمُعَةِ فَالْيَوْمَ لَنَا ، وَغَدًا لِلْيَهُودِ ، وَبَعْدَ غَدٍ لِلنَّصَارَى " .
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: We are the last (but) we would be the first on the Day of Resurrection, and we would be the first to enter Paradise, but that they were given the Book before us and we were given after them. They disagreed and Allah guided us aright on whatever they disagreed regarding the truth. And it was this day of theirs about which they disagreed, but Allah guided us to it, and that is Friday for us; the next day is for the Jews and the day following for the Christians.
