Hadith 707
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ خَالِدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْوَاسِطِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ إِسْحَاق ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ " أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ اسْتَشَارَ النَّاسَ لِمَا يُهِمُّهُمْ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ ، فَذَكَرُوا الْبُوقَ ، فَكَرِهَهُ مِنْ أَجْلِ الْيَهُودِ ، ثُمَّ ذَكَرُوا النَّاقُوسَ ، فَكَرِهَهُ مِنْ أَجْلِ النَّصَارَى ، فَأُرِيَ النِّدَاءَ تِلْكَ اللَّيْلَةَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ ، يُقَالُ لَهُ : عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، وَعُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ ، فَطَرَقَ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَيْلًا ، " فَأَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِلَالًا بِهِ فَأَذَّنَ " ، قَالَ الزُّهْرِيُّ : وَزَادَ بِلَالٌ فِي نِدَاءِ صَلَاةِ الْغَدَاةِ ، الصَّلَاةُ خَيْرٌ مِنَ النَّوْمِ ، فَأَقَرَّهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ عُمَرُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَدْ رَأَيْتُ مِثْلَ الَّذِي رَأَى وَلَكِنَّهُ سَبَقَنِي .
´It was narrated from Salim, from his father, that:` The Prophet consulted the people as to how he could call them to the prayer. They suggested a horn, but he disliked that because of the Jews (because the Jews used a horn). Then they suggested a bell but he disliked that because of the Christians (because the Christians used a bell). Then that night the call to the prayer was shown in a dream to a man among the Ansar whose name was 'Abdullah bin Zaid, and to 'Umar bin Khattab. The Ansari man came to the Messenger of Allah at night, and the Messenger of Allah commanded Bilal to give the call to the prayer. (Da'if)Zuhri said: "Bilal added the phrase "As-salatu khairum minan-nawm (the prayer is better than sleep)" to the call for the morning prayer, and the Messenger of Allah approved of that." 'Umar said: "O Messenger of Allah, I saw the same as he did, but he beat me to it."
Hadith 718
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاق الشَّافِعِيُّ إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ رَجَاءٍ الْمَكِّيُّ ، عَنْ عَبَّادِ بْنِ إِسْحَاق ، عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ ، قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا أَذَّنَ الْمُؤَذِّنُ ، فَقُولُوا مِثْلَ قَوْلِهِ " .
´It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said:` "The Messenger of Allah said: 'When the Mu'adh-dhin calls the Adhan, say as he says.'"
Hadith 1198
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيل ابْنُ عُلَيَّةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ إِسْحَاق ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " إِذَا صَلَّى رَكْعَتَيِ الْفَجْرِ ، اضْطَجَعَ عَلَى شِقِّهِ الْأَيْمَنِ " .
´It was narrated that ‘Aishah said:` “When the Prophet (ﷺ) prayed the two (Sunnah) Rak’ah of Fajr, he would lie down on his right side.”
Hadith 1995
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ خَلَفٍ أَبُو سَلَمَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْمُفَضَّلِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ إِسْحَاق ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " الشُّؤْمُ فِي ثَلَاثٍ فِي الْفَرَسِ ، وَالْمَرْأَةِ ، وَالدَّارِ " ، قَالَ الزُّهْرِيُّ : فَحَدَّثَنِي أَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زَمْعَةَ ، أَنَّ جَدَّتَهُ زَيْنَبَ حَدَّثَتْهُ ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ ، أَنَّهَا كَانَتْ تَعُدُّ هَؤُلَاءِ الثَّلَاثَةَ ، وَتَزِيدُ مَعَهُنَّ السَّيْف .
´It was narrated from Salim, from his father, that:` the Messenger of Allah said: "Omens are only to be found in three things: a horse, a woman and a house." (Sahih)(One of the narrators) Az-Zuhri said: " Abu 'Ubaidah bin 'Abdullah bin Zam'ah said that his mother, Zainab, narrated to him, from Umm Salamah, that she used to list these three, and add to them "the sword."
Hadith 2092
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاق الشَّافِعِيُّ إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ رَجَاءٍ الْمَكِّيُّ ، عَنْ عَبَّادِ بْنِ إِسْحَاق ، عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : " كَانَتْ أَكْثَرُ أَيْمَانِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا وَمُصَرِّفِ الْقُلُوبِ " .
´It was narrated from Salim that his father said:` "The swearing most frequently sworn by the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was: 'No, by the Controller of the hearts."'
Hadith 2419
حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّوْرَقِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيل بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ إِسْحَاق ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ مُعَاوِيَةَ ، عَنْ حَنْظَلَةَ بْنِ قَيْسٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْيَسَرِ صَاحِبِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ أَحَبَّ أَنْ يُظِلَّهُ اللَّهُ فِي ظِلِّهِ فَلْيُنْظِرْ مُعْسِرًا أَوْ لِيَضَعْ لَهُ " .
´It was narrated from Abu Yasar, the Companion of the Prophet (ﷺ) that :` the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Whoever would like Allah to shade him with His shade, let him give respite to one in difficulty, or waive repayment of the loan.”
Hadith 2461
حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّوْرَقِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيل ابْنُ عُلَيَّةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ إِسْحَاق ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمَّارِ بْنِ يَاسِرٍ ، عَنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي الْوَلِيدِ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ زَيْدُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ : يَغْفِرُ اللَّهُ لِرَافِعِ بْنِ خَدِيجٍ ، أَنَا ، وَاللَّهِ ! ، أَعْلَمُ بِالْحَدِيثِ مِنْهُ . إِنَّمَا أَتَى رَجُلَانِ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَقَدِ اقْتَتَلَا ، فَقَالَ : " إِنْ كَانَ هَذَا شَأْنُكُمْ فَلَا تُكْرُوا الْمَزَارِعَ " ، فَسَمِعَ رَافِعُ بْنُ خَدِيجٍ قَوْلَهُ : " فَلَا تُكْرُوا الْمَزَارِعَ " .
´Zaid bin Thabit said:` “May Allah (SWT) forgive Rafi' bin Khadij. By Allah (SWT)! I have more knowledge of Ahadith than he does. Two men who had quarreled came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and he said: 'If this is your situation, do not lease farms,' and what Rafi' bin khadij heard was 'Do not lease farms.' ”
