Hadith 25
´It was narrated that 'Abdur-Rahman bin Abi Laila said:` We said to Zaid bin Arqam: 'Tell us a Hadith from the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ).' He said: 'We have grown old and have forgotten, and (narrating) Ahadith from the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) is difficult (not a simple matter).'"
Hadith 38
´It was narrated from 'Ali that:` The Prophet (ﷺ) said: '"Whoever narrates a Hadith from me thinking it to be false, then he is one of the two liars." (Either the one who invents a lie or the one who repeats it; both are liars).
Hadith 39
´It was narrated from Samurah bin Jundub that:` The Prophet (ﷺ) said: '"Whoever narrated a Hadith from me thinking it to be false, then he is one of the two liars."
Hadith 40
´It was narrated from `Ali that:` The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Whoever narrates a Hadith from me thinking it to be false, then he is one of the two liars." Another chain similar to the narration of Samurah bin Jundub.
Hadith 117
حَدَّثَنَا
عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا
وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا
ابْنُ أَبِي لَيْلَى حَدَّثَنَا
الْحَكَمُ ، عَنْ
عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى ، قَالَ : كَانَ أَبُو لَيْلَى يَسْمُرُ مَعَ
عَلِيٍّ ، فَكَانَ يَلْبَسُ ثِيَابَ الصَّيْفِ فِي الشِّتَاءِ ، وَثِيَابَ الشِّتَاءِ فِي الصَّيْفِ ، فَقُلْنَا : لَوْ سَأَلْتَهُ ، فَقَالَ : إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَعَثَ إِلَيَّ وَأَنَا أَرْمَدُ الْعَيْنِ يَوْمَ خَيْبَرَ ، قُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنِّي أَرْمَدُ الْعَيْنِ ، فَتَفَلَ فِي عَيْنِي ثُمَّ قَالَ : " اللَّهُمَّ أَذْهِبْ عَنْهُ الْحَرَّ وَالْبَرْدَ " ، قَالَ : فَمَا وَجَدْتُ حَرًّا وَلَا بَرْدًا بَعْدَ يَوْمِئِذٍ ، وَقَالَ : " لَأَبْعَثَنَّ رَجُلًا يُحِبُّ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ ، وَيُحِبُّهُ اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ ، لَيْسَ بِفَرَّارٍ فَتَشَوَّفَ لَهَا النَّاسُ " ، فَبَعَثَ إِلَى عَلِيٍّ فَأَعْطَاهَا إِيَّاهُ .
´It was narrated that 'Abdur-Rahman bin Abu laila said:` "Abu Laila used to travel with 'Ali, and he used to wear summer clothes in winter and winter clothes in summer. We said: 'Why don't you ask him (about that)?' He said: "The Messenger of Allah sent for me and my eyes were sore, on the Day of Khaibar. I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, my eyes are sore.' He put some spittle into my eyes, then he said: 'O Allah, take heat and cold away from him.' I never felt hot or cold again after that day. He (the Prophet) said: 'I will send a man who loves Allah and His Messenger, and whom Allah and His Messenger love, and he is not one who flees from the battlefield.' The people craned their necks to see, and he sent for 'Ali and gave it (the banner) to him."
Hadith 187

حَمَّادٌ ، عَنْ
ثَابِتٍ الْبُنَانِيِّ ، عَنْ
عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى ، عَنْ
صُهَيْبٍ ، قَالَ : تَلَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ لِلَّذِينَ أَحْسَنُوا الْحُسْنَى وَزِيَادَةٌ سورة يونس آية 26 ، وَقَالَ : " إِذَا دَخَلَ أَهْلُ الْجَنَّةِ الْجَنَّةَ ، وَأَهْلُ النَّارِ النَّارَ ، نَادَى مُنَادٍ يَا أَهْلَ الْجَنَّةِ إِنَّ لَكُمْ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ مَوْعِدًا يُرِيدُ أَنْ يُنْجِزَكُمُوهُ ، فَيَقُولُونَ : وَمَا هُوَ أَلَمْ يُثَقِّلِ اللَّهُ مَوَازِينَنَا ، وَيُبَيِّضْ وُجُوهَنَا ، وَيُدْخِلْنَا الْجَنَّةَ ، وَيُنْجِنَا مِنَ النَّارِ ، قَالَ : " فَيَكْشِفُ الْحِجَابَ فَيَنْظُرُونَ إِلَيْهِ ، فَوَاللَّهِ مَا أَعَطَاهُمُ اللَّهُ شَيْئًا أَحَبَّ إِلَيْهِمْ مِنَ النَّظَرِ إِلَيْهِ ، وَلَا أَقَرَّ لِأَعْيُنِهِمْ " .
´It was narrated that Suhaib said:` "The Messenger of Allah recited this Verse: 'For those who have done good is the best reward and even more.' Then he said: 'When the people of Paradise enter Paradise, and the people of the Fire enter the Fire, a caller will cry out: "O people of Paradise! You have a covenant with Allah and He wants to fulfill it." They will say: "What is it?" Has Allah not made the Balance (of our good deeds) heavy, and made our faces bright, and admitted us to Paradise and saved us from Hell?" Then the Veil will be lifted and they will look upon Him, and by Allah, Allah will not give them anything that is more beloved to them or delightful, than looking upon Him.'"
Hadith 494
´It was narrated that Bara'bin 'Azib said:` "The Messenger of Allah was asked about performing ablution after eating camel meat. He said: 'Perform ablution after eating it.'"
Hadith 496
´It was narrated that Usaid bin Hudair said:` "The Messenger of Allah said: 'Do not perform ablution after (drinking) sheep's milk, but perform ablution after (drinking) camel's milk.'"
Hadith 504
´It was narrated that 'Ali said:` "The Messenger of Allah was asked about prostatic fluid and he said: 'For that ablution (is necessary), and for semen, bath is necessary.'"
Hadith 561
´It was narrated from Bilal that:` The Messenger of Allah wiped over his leather socks and his head cover (i.e., over the Imamah).
Hadith 715
´It was narrated that Bilal said:` "The Messenger of Allah commanded me (with Tathwib) in the Adhan for Fajr, and he forbade me to do so in the Adhan for 'Isha'."
Hadith 904
´It was narrated that Hakam said:` “I heard Ibn Abi Laila say: ‘Ka’b bin ‘Ujrah met me and said: “Shall I not give you a gift? The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) came out to us and we said: ‘We know what it means to send greetings on you, but what does it mean to send peace and blessings upon you?’ He said: ‘Say: Allahumma salli ‘ala Muhammadin wa ‘ala ali Muhammadin, kama sallayta ‘ala Ibrahima, innaka Hamidun Majid; Allahumma barik ‘ala Muhammadin wa ‘ala ali Muhammadin, kama barakta ‘ala Ibrahima, innaka Hamidun Majid (O Allah, send your grace, honour and mercy upon Muhammad and upon the family of Muhammad, as You sent Your grace, honour and mercy upon Ibrahim, You are indeed Praiseworthy, Most Glorious. O Allah, send Your blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, as You sent Your blessings upon Ibrahim, You are indeed Praiseworthy, Most Glorious).’”
Hadith 1063
´It was narrated that ‘Umar said:` “The prayer while traveling is two Rak’ah, and Friday is two Rak’ah, and ‘Eid is two Rak’ah. They are complete and are not shortened, as told by Muhammad (ﷺ).”
Hadith 1064
´‘Umar said:` “The prayer when traveling is two Rak’ah, and Friday is two Rak’ah, and Al-Fitr and Al-Adha are two Rak’ah, complete, not shortened, as told by Muhammad (ﷺ).”
Hadith 1352
´It was narrated that Abu Laila said:` “I prayed beside the Prophet (ﷺ) when he was praying voluntary prayers at night. He recited a Verse which mentioned punishment and said: ‘I seek refuge with Allah from the Fire, woe to the people of the Fire.’”
Hadith 1442
´It was narrated that ‘Ali said:` “I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: ‘Whoever comes to his Muslim brother and visits him (when he is sick), he is walking among the harvest of Paradise until he sits down, and when he sits down he is covered with mercy. If it is morning, seventy thousand angels will send blessing upon him until evening, and if it is evening, seventy thousand angels will send blessing upon him until morning.’”
Hadith 1505
´It was narrated that ‘Abdur-Rahman bin Abi Laila said:` “Zaid bin Arqan used to say the Takbir four times in the funeral prayer, and he said the Takbir five times for one funeral. I asked him (about that) and he said: ‘The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to do that.’”
Hadith 3099
´It was narrated that ‘Ali bin Abu Talib said:` “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) commanded me to look after his sacrificial camels, to share out their covers and skins, and not to give the butcher any of it. He said: ‘We will give him (his wages).’”
Hadith 3157
‘Ali bin Abu Talib narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) commanded him to distribute the entire sacrificial camel – its meat, skin and covers – among the poor.
Hadith 3414
´It was narrated that Hudhaifah said:` “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) forbade drinking from vessels of gold and silver. He said: “They are for them in this world and for you in the Hereafter.’”

أَبِي لَيْلَى , قَالَ : كُنْتُ جَالِسًا عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذْ جَاءَهُ أَعْرَابِيٌّ , فَقَالَ : إِنَّ لِي أَخًا وَجِعًا , قَالَ : " مَا وَجَعُ أَخِيكَ ؟ " , قَالَ : بِهِ لَمَمٌ , قَالَ : " اذْهَبْ فَأْتِنِي بِهِ " , قَالَ : فَذَهَبَ فَجَاءَ بِهِ , فَأَجْلَسَهُ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ , فَسَمِعْتُهُ : " عَوَّذَهُ بِفَاتِحَةِ الْكِتَابِ , وَأَرْبَعِ آيَاتٍ مِنْ أَوَّلِ الْبَقَرَةِ , وَآيَتَيْنِ مِنْ وَسَطِهَا وَإِلَهُكُمْ إِلَهٌ وَاحِدٌ سورة البقرة آية 163 , وَآيَةِ الْكُرْسِيِّ , وَثَلَاثِ آيَاتٍ مِنْ خَاتِمَتِهَا , وَآيَةٍ مِنْ آلِ عِمْرَانَ " , أَحْسِبُهُ قَالَ : " شَهِدَ اللَّهُ أَنَّهُ لا إِلَهَ إِلا هُوَ سورة آل عمران آية 18 , وَآيَةٍ مِنْ الْأَعْرَافِ إِنَّ رَبَّكُمُ اللَّهُ الَّذِي خَلَقَ سورة الأعراف آية 54 , وَآيَةٍ مِنْ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَمَنْ يَدْعُ مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلَهًا آخَرَ لا بُرْهَانَ لَهُ بِهِ سورة المؤمنون آية 117 , وَآيَةٍ مِنْ الْجِنِّ : وَأَنَّهُ تَعَالَى جَدُّ رَبِّنَا مَا اتَّخَذَ صَاحِبَةً وَلا وَلَدًا سورة الجن آية 3 , وَعَشْرِ آيَاتٍ مِنْ أَوَّلِ الصَّافَّاتِ ، وَثَلَاثِ آيَاتٍ مِنْ آخِرِ الْحَشْرِ , وَقُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ والمعوذتين " , فَقَامَ الْأَعْرَابِيُّ , قَدْ بَرَأَ لَيْسَ بِهِ بَأْسٌ .
´It was narrated from ‘Abdur-Rahman bin Abi Laila that his father Abu Laila said:` “I was sitting with the Prophet (ﷺ) when a Bedouin came to him and said: ‘I have a brother who is sick.’ He said: ‘What is the matter with your brother?’ He said: ‘He suffers from a slight mental derangement.’ He said: ‘Go and bring him.’” He said: “(So he went) and he brought him. He made him sit down in front of him and I heard him seeking refuge for him with Fatihatil-Kitab; four Verses from the beginning of Al-Baqarah, two Verses from its middle: ‘And your Ilah (God) is One Ilah (God – Allah),’ [2:163] and Ayat Al-Kursi; and three Verses from its end; a Verse from Al ‘Imran, I think it was: ‘Allah bears witness that La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He),’ [3:18] a Verse from Al-A’raf: ‘Indeed, your Lord is Allah,’ [7:54] a Verse from Al-Mu’minun: ‘And whoever invokes (or worships), besides Allah, any other ilah (god), of whom he has no proof,’[23:117] a Verse from Al-Jinn: ‘And He, exalted is the Majesty of our Lord,’ [72:3] ten Verses from the beginning of As-Saffat; three Verses from the end of Al-Hashr; (then) ‘Say: He is Allah, (the) One,’ [112:1] and Al-Mu’awwidhatain. Then the Bedouin stood up, healed, and there was nothing wrong with him.”
Hadith 3590
´It was narrated that Hudhaifah said:` “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) forbade wearing silk and gold. He said: ‘They are for them in this world and for us in the Hereafter.’”

عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُكَيْمٍ , قَالَ : أَتَانَا كِتَابُ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَنْ لَا تَنْتَفِعُوا مِنَ الْمَيْتَةِ بِإِهَابٍ , وَلَا عَصَبٍ " .
´It was narrated that ‘Abdullah bin ‘Ukaym said:` “There came to us a letter from the Prophet (ﷺ) (saying): ‘No not make use of the untanned skin and sinew of dead animals.’”
Hadith 3704
´It was narrated that Ibn Umar said:` "We kissed the hand of the Prophet(ﷺ)."
Hadith 3715
´It was narrated from Ali that the Messenger of Allah(ﷺ) said:` "If anyone of you sneezes, let him say: Alhamdulillah (praise be to Allah). Those around him should respond by saying: Yarhamkullah (may Allah have mercy on you). And he should respond by saying: "Yahdikum Allah wa yuslaha balakum (may Allah Guide you and set right your state)."
Hadith 3825
´It was narrated that Abu Dharr said:` "The Messenger of Allah (saas) said to me: "Shall I not tell you of a treasure which is one of the treasures of Paradise?' I said: 'Yes, O Messenger of Allah.' He said: 'La hawla wa la quwwata illa billah (There is no power and no strength except with Allah).'" (sahih)

عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ عُمَيْرٍ , عَنْ
ابْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى , عَنْ
مُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ , قَالَ : مَرَّ بِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَنَا عَلَى حِمَارٍ , فَقَالَ : " يَا مُعَاذُ , هَلْ تَدْرِي مَا حَقُّ اللَّهِ عَلَى الْعِبَادِ ؟ وَمَا حَقُّ الْعِبَادِ عَلَى اللَّهِ ؟ " , قُلْتُ : اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ , قَالَ : " فَإِنَّ حَقَّ اللَّهِ عَلَى الْعِبَادِ أَنْ يَعْبُدُوهُ وَلَا يُشْرِكُوا بِهِ شَيْئًا , وَحَقُّ الْعِبَادِ عَلَى اللَّهِ إِذَا فَعَلُوا ذَلِكَ أَنْ لَا يُعَذِّبَهُمْ " .
´It was narrated that Mu’adh bin Jabal said:` “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) passed by me when I was riding a donkey, and said: ‘O Mu’adh, do you know what Allah’s right over His slaves is and what His slaves’ right over Allah is?’ I said: ‘Allah and His Messenger know best.’ He said: ‘The right of Allah over His slaves is that they should worship Him and not associate anything with Him. And the right of the slaves over Allah, if they do that, is that He should not punish them.’”
