Hadith 338
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ ، عَنْ الضَّحَّاكِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي زَيْدُ بْنُ أَسْلَمَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " لَا يَنْظُرُ الرَّجُلُ إِلَى عَوْرَةِ الرَّجُلِ ، وَلَا الْمَرْأَةُ إِلَى عَوْرَةِ الْمَرْأَةِ ، وَلَا يُفْضِي الرَّجُلُ إِلَى الرَّجُلِ فِي ثَوْبٍ وَاحِدٍ ، وَلَا تُفْضِي الْمَرْأَةُ إِلَى الْمَرْأَةِ فِي الثَّوْبِ الْوَاحِدِ " .
'Abdul Rahman, the son of Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, reported from his father: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: A man should not see the private parts of another man, and a woman should not see the private parts of another woman, and a man should not lie with another man under one covering, and a woman should not lie with another woman under one covering.
Hadith 343
وحَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى ، وَيَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ ، وَقُتَيْبَةُ ، وَابْنُ حُجْرٍ ، قَالَ يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى : أَخْبَرَنَا ، وَقَالَ الآخَرُونَ : حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيل وَهُوَ ابْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، عَنْ شَرِيكٍ يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي نَمِرٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : " خَرَجْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ الِاثْنَيْنِ إِلَى قُبَاءَ ، حَتَّى إِذَا كُنَّا فِي بَنِي سَالِمٍ ، وَقَفَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى بَابِ عِتْبَانَ ، فَصَرَخَ بِهِ ، فَخَرَجَ يَجُرُّ إِزَارَهُ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : أَعْجَلْنَا الرَّجُلَ ، فَقَالَ عِتْبَانُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، أَرَأَيْتَ الرَّجُلَ يُعْجَلُ عَنِ امْرَأَتِهِ ، وَلَمْ يُمْنِ ، مَاذَا عَلَيْهِ ؟ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : إِنَّمَا الْمَاءُ مِنَ الْمَاءِ " .
Sa'id al-Khudri narrated it from his father: I went to Quba' with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) on Monday till we reached (the habitation) of Banu Salim. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) stood at the door of 'Itban and called him loudly. So he came out dragging his lower garnment. Upon this the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: We have made this man to make haste 'Itban said: Messenger of Allah, if a man parts with his wife suddenly without seminal emission, what is he required to do (with regard to bath)? The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: It is with the seminal emission that bath becomes obligatory.
Hadith 505
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : قَرَأْتُ عَلَى مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، " أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : إِذَا كَانَ أَحَدُكُمْ يُصَلِّي ، فَلَا يَدَعْ أَحَدًا يَمُرُّ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ ، وَلْيَدْرَأْهُ مَا اسْتَطَاعَ ، فَإِنْ أَبَى فَلْيُقَاتِلْهُ ، فَإِنَّمَا هُوَ شَيْطَانٌ " .
Abu Sa'id al-Khudri reported that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: When any one of you prays he should not let anyone pass in front of him (if there is no sutra), and should try to turn him away as far as possible, but if he refuses to go, he should turn him away forcibly for he is a devil.
Hadith 846
وحَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ سَوَّادٍ الْعَامِرِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ ، أَنَّ سَعِيدَ بْنَ أَبِي هِلَالٍ ، وَبُكَيْرَ بْنَ الْأَشَجِّ ، حَدَّثَاهُ ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ سُلَيْمٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " غُسْلُ يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ عَلَى كُلِّ مُحْتَلِمٍ وَسِوَاكٌ ، وَيَمَسُّ مِنَ الطِّيبِ مَا قَدَرَ عَلَيْهِ " . إِلَّا أَنَّ بُكَيْرًا لَمْ يَذْكُرْ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ ، وَقَالَ : فِي الطِّيبِ وَلَوْ مِنْ طِيبِ الْمَرْأَةِ .
'Abdul Rahman son of Abd Sa'id al-Khudri reported on the authority of his father that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Bathing on Friday for every adult, using of Miswak and applying some perfume, that is available-these are essential. So far as the perfume is concerned, it may be that used by a lady.
Hadith 1374
حدثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ ، وَأَبُو كُرَيْبٍ ، جَمِيعًا عَنْ أَبِي أُسَامَةَ وَاللَّفْظُ لِأَبِي بَكْرٍ ، وَابْنِ نُمَيْرٍ ، قَالَا : حدثنا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ ، عَنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ كَثِيرٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ ، حَدَّثَهُ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " إِنِّي حَرَّمْتُ مَا بَيْنَ لَابَتَيِ الْمَدِينَةِ كَمَا حَرَّمَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ مَكَّةَ " ، قَالَ : ثُمَّ كَانَ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ يَأْخُذُ ، وقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ : يَجِدُ أَحَدَنَا فِي يَدِهِ الطَّيْرُ فَيَفُكُّهُ مِنْ يَدِهِ ثُمَّ يُرْسِلُهُ .
Abdul Rahman reported on the authority of his father Abu Sa'id (RA) that he heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: I have declared sacred what is between the two lava grounds of Madinah just as Ibrahim (peace be upon him) declared Makkah as sacred. He (the narrator) then said: Abu Sa'id caught hold of (Abu Bakr, another narrator, used the word "found") a bird in his hand and then released it from his hand and set it free.
Hadith 1398
حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ ، حدثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ الْخَرَّاطِ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا سَلَمَةَ بْنَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، قَالَ : مَرَّ بِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ لَهُ : كَيْفَ سَمِعْتَ أَبَاكَ يَذْكُرُ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ الَّذِي أُسِّسَ عَلَى التَّقْوَى ؟ قَالَ : قَالَ أَبِي : دَخَلْتُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي بَيْتِ بَعْضِ نِسَائِهِ ، فَقُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، أَيُّ الْمَسْجِدَيْنِ الَّذِي أُسِّسَ عَلَى التَّقْوَى ؟ قَالَ : فَأَخَذَ كَفًّا مِنْ حَصْبَاءَ ، فَضَرَبَ بِهِ الْأَرْضَ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : " هُوَ مَسْجِدُكُمْ هَذَا لِمَسْجِدِ الْمَدِينَةِ " ، قَالَ : فَقُلْتُ : أَشْهَدُ أَنِّي سَمِعْتُ أَبَاكَ هَكَذَا يَذْكُرُهُ .
Abu Salama bin Abdul Rahman reported: 'Abdul Rahman bin Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (RA) happened to pass by me and I said to him. How did you hear your father making mention of the mosque founded on Piety? He said: My father said: I went to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as he was in the house of one of his wives, and said: Messenger of Allah, which of the two mosques is founded on piety? Thereupon he took a handful of pebbles and threw them on the ground and then said: This is the very mosque of yours (mosque at Madinah). He (the narrator) said: I bear witness that I heard your father making mention of it.
Hadith 2995
حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو غَسَّانَ الْمِسْمَعِيُّ مَالِكُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَاحِدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْمُفَضَّلِ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُهَيْلُ بْنُ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ ابْنًا لِأَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ يُحَدِّثُ أَبِي ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا تَثَاوَبَ أَحَدُكُمْ ، فَلْيُمْسِكْ بِيَدِهِ عَلَى فِيهِ ، فَإِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ يَدْخُلُ " .
The son of Abu Said al-Khudri reported on the authority of his father that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: When one of you yawns, he should keep his mouth shut with the help of his hand, for it is the devil that enters therein.
Hadith 2995
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ ، عَنْ سُهَيْلٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " إِذَا تَثَاوَبَ أَحَدُكُمْ ، فَلْيُمْسِكْ بِيَدِهِ ، فَإِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ يَدْخُلُ " .
The son of Abu Said al-Khudri reported on the authority of his father that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: When one of you yawns, he should try to restrain it with the help of his hand since it is the Satan that enters therein.
Hadith 2995
حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا تَثَاوَبَ أَحَدُكُمْ فِي الصَّلَاةِ ، فَلْيَكْظِمْ مَا اسْتَطَاعَ ، فَإِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ يَدْخُلُ " ،
The son of Abu Said al-Khudri reported on the authority of his father that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said. When one of you yawns while engaged in prayer, he should try to restrain so far as it lies in his power, since it is the Satan that enter therein.
Hadith 2995
وحَدَّثَنَاه عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ ، عَنْ سُهَيْلٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، وَعَنْ ابْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، بِمِثْلِ حَدِيثِ بِشْرٍ وَعَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ .
Abu Said al-Khudri reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) a hadith like this through another chain of transmitters.
