Hadith 1554
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَكَّامُ بْنُ سَلْمٍ الرَّازِيُّ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ عَلِيَّ بْنَ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى يَذْكُرُ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " اللَّحْدُ لَنَا ، وَالشَّقُّ لِغَيْرِنَا " .
´It was narrated that Ibn ‘Abbas said:` “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: ‘The niche-grave is for us and the ditch-grave is for others.”
Hadith 2163
حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ أَبُو حَفْصٍ الصَّيْرَفِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، ح وحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ الْوَاسِطِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا وَرْقَاءُ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى ، عَنْ أَبِي جَمِيلَةَ ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ ، قَالَ : " احْتَجَمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَمَرَنِي فَأَعْطَيْتُ الْحَجَّامَ أَجْرَهُ " .
´It was narrated that 'Ali said:` "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was treated with cupping and he told me to give the cupper his wages."
Hadith 2309
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيل ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى ، عَنْ بِلَالِ بْنِ أَبِي مُوسَى ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ سَأَلَ الْقَضَاءَ وُكِلَ إِلَى نَفْسِهِ وَمَنْ جُبِرَ عَلَيْهِ نَزَلَ إِلَيْهِ آلِكْ فَسَدَّدَهُ " .
´It was narrated from Anas bin Malik that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` “Whoever asks to be appointed a judge, will be entrusted to himself, but “Whoever asks to be appointed a judge, will be entrusted to himself, but whoever is forced to accept position, an angel will come down to him and guide him.' ”
Hadith 2884
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ ، وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا مَنْصُورُ بْنُ وَرْدَانَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْبَخْتَرِيِّ ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ ، قَالَ : لَمَّا نَزَلَتْ وَلِلَّهِ عَلَى النَّاسِ حِجُّ الْبَيْتِ مَنِ اسْتَطَاعَ إِلَيْهِ سَبِيلا سورة آل عمران آية 97 ، قَالُوا : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، الْحَجُّ فِي كُلِّ عَامٍ ؟ ، فَسَكَتَ ، ثُمَّ قَالُوا : أَفِي كُلِّ عَامٍ ؟ ، فَقَالَ : " لَا ، وَلَوْ قُلْتُ : نَعَمْ ، لَوَجَبَتْ ، فَنَزَلَتْ يَأَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لا تَسْأَلُوا عَنْ أَشْيَاءَ إِنْ تُبْدَ لَكُمْ تَسُؤْكُمْ سورة المائدة آية 101 " .
´It was narrated that ‘Ali said:` “When the following was revealed: “And Hajj (pilgrimage to Makkah) to the House (Ka’bah) is a duty that mankind owes to Allah, for whoever can bear the way.” [3:97] They asked: ‘O Messenger of Allah, is Hajj every year?’ He remained silent. They asked: ‘Is it every year?’ He said: ‘No. If I had said yes, it would have become obligatory.’ Then the following was revealed: “O you who believe! Ask not about things which, if made plain to you, may cause you trouble.’” [5:101]
