Hadith 258
حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ أَخْزَمَ ، وَأَبُو بَدْرٍ عَبَّادُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبَّادٍ الْهُنَائِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ الْهُنَائِيُّ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ السَّخْتِيَانِيِّ ، عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ دُرَيْكٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مَنْ طَلَبَ الْعِلْمَ لِغَيْرِ اللَّهِ ، أَوْ أَرَادَ بِهِ غَيْرَ اللَّهِ ، فَلْيَتَبَوَّأْ مَقْعَدَهُ مِنَ النَّارِ " .
´It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that:` The Prophet said: "Whoever seeks knowledge for a reason other than the sake of Allah, or intends it for a purpose other than for the sake of Allah, let him take his place in hell."
Hadith 270
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُؤَمَّلِ بْنِ الصَّبَّاحِ ، وَعَبَّادُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ زَبَّانَ ، حَدَّثَنَا حِبَّانُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي زِيَادٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَقِيلِ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " يُجْزِئُ مِنَ الْوُضُوءِ مُدٌّ ، وَمِنَ الْغُسْلِ صَاعٌ " ، فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ : لَا يُجْزِئُنَا ، فَقَالَ : " قَدْ كَانَ يُجْزِئُ مَنْ هُوَ خَيْرٌ مِنْكَ ، وَأَكْثَرُ شَعَرًا " ، يَعْنِي : النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ .
´'Abdullah bin Muhammed bin 'Aqil bin Abu Talib narrated from his father that his grandfather said:` "The Messenger of Allah said: 'A Mudd is sufficient for the ablution and a Sa' is sufficient for the bath.' A man said: 'It is not sufficient for us.'" He (the narrator) said: "It was sufficient for one who is better than you and had more hair" meaning the Prophet.
Hadith 362
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَدْرٍ عَبَّادُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُطَهَّرُ بْنُ الْهَيْثَمِ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَلْقَمَةُ بْنُ أَبِي جَمْرَةَ الضُّبَعِيُّ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَبِي جَمْرَةَ الضُّبَعِيِّ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا يَكِلُ طُهُورَهُ إِلَى أَحَدٍ ، وَلَا صَدَقَتَهُ الَّتِي يَتَصَدَّقُ بِهَا يَكُونُ هُوَ الَّذِي يَتَوَلَّاهَا بِنَفْسِهِ " .
´It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbas said:` "The Messenger of Allah never entrusted his purification to anyone nor his charity that he had given to anyone; he would be the one to take care of these matters himself."
Hadith 732
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَدْرٍ عَبَّادُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ ، حَدَّثَنِي مُعَمَّرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي رَافِعٍ مَوْلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ ، قَالَ : " رَأَيْتُ بِلَالًا يُؤَذِّنُ بَيْنَ يَدَيْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَثْنَى مَثْنَى ، وَيُقِيمُ وَاحِدَةً " .
´It was narrated that Abu Rafi' said:` "I saw Bilal calling the Adhan in fron of Allah's Messenger, (saying the phrases) two by two, and saying each phrase once in the Iqamah."
Hadith 1644
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَدْرٍ عَبَّادُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بِلَالٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عِمْرَانُ الْقَطَّانُ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : دَخَلَ رَمَضَانُ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ هَذَا الشَّهْرَ قَدْ حَضَرَكُمْ وَفِيهِ لَيْلَةٌ خَيْرٌ مِنْ أَلْفِ شَهْرٍ ، مَنْ حُرِمَهَا فَقَدْ حُرِمَ الْخَيْرَ كُلَّهُ ، وَلَا يُحْرَمُ خَيْرَهَا إِلَّا مَحْرُومٌ " .
´It was narrated that Anas bin Malik said:` “Ramadan began, and the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: ‘This month has come to you, and in it there is a night that is better than a thousand months. Whoever is deprived of it is deprived of all goodness, and no one is deprived of its goodness except one who is truly deprived.’”
Hadith 1806
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَدْرٍ عَبَّادُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ ، عَنْ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " تُؤْخَذُ صَدَقَاتُ الْمُسْلِمِينَ عَلَى مِيَاهِهِمْ " .
´Ibn Umar narrated that:` the Messenger of Allah said: “The Sadaqah of Muslims should be taken at their watering places.”
Hadith 1811
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَدْرٍ عَبَّادُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَتَّابٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عَطَاءٍ مَوْلَى عِمْرَانَ ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ، أَنَّ عِمْرَانَ بْنَ الْحُصَيْنِ ، اسْتُعْمِلَ عَلَى الصَّدَقَةِ ، فَلَمَّا رَجَعَ ، قِيلَ لَهُ ، أَيْنَ الْمَالُ ؟ ، قَالَ : وَلِلْمَالِ أَرْسَلْتَنِي ، أَخَذْنَاهُ مِنْ حَيْثُ كُنَّا نَأْخُذُهُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَوَضَعْنَاهُ حَيْثُ كُنَّا نَضَعُهُ .
´Ibrahim bin Ata, the freed slave of Imran bin Husain, said:` “My father told me that 'Imran bin Hussain was appointed to collect the Sadaqah. When he came back, it was said to him: 'Where is the wealth?' He said: 'Was it for wealth that you sent me? We took it from where we used to take it at the time of the Messenger of Allah, and we distributed it where we used to distribute it.' ”
Hadith 1980
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَدْرٍ عَبَّادُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَبَّانُ بْنُ هِلَالٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُبَارَكُ بْنُ فَضَالَةَ ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ أُمِّ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : لَمَّا قَدِمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْمَدِينَةَ ، وَهُوَ عَرُوسٌ بِصَفِيَّةَ بِنْتِ حُيَيٍّ جِئْنَ نِسَاءُ الْأَنْصَارِ ، فَأَخْبَرْنَ عَنْهَا ، قَالَتْ : فَتَنَكَّرْتُ وَتَنَقَّبْتُ ، فَذَهَبْتُ ، فَنَظَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَى عَيْنِي فَعَرَفَنِي ، قَالَتْ : فَالْتَفَتَ ، فَأَسْرَعْتُ الْمَشْيَ فَأَدْرَكَنِي فَاحْتَضَنَنِي ، فَقَالَ : " كَيْفَ رَأَيْتِ ؟ " ، قَالَتْ : قُلْتُ : أَرْسِلْ يَهُودِيَّةٌ وَسْطَ يَهُودِيَّاتٍ .
´It was narrated that 'Aishah said:` When the Messenger of Allah came to Al-Madinah, he had just married Safiyyah bint Huyai, and the women of the Ansar came and told us about that. My expression changed and I covered my face and went away. The Messenger of Allah looked at my eyes and recognized me. I turned away and walked quickly, but he caught up with me and put his arm around me and said: 'What did you see?' I said: 'Let me go, (I saw) a Jewish woman among other Jewish women.' "
Hadith 2826
حَدَّثَنَا عَبَّادُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَبَّانُ بْنُ هِلَالٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مِحْصَنٍ حصين بن نمير ، عَنْ ابْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا أَشْخَصَ السَّرَايَا يَقُولُ لِلشَّاخِصِ : " أَسْتَوْدِعُ اللَّهَ دِينَكَ ، وَأَمَانَتَكَ ، وَخَوَاتِيمَ عَمَلِكَ " .
´It was narrated that Ibn ‘Umar said:` “When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) would dispatch troops, he would say to the leader: ‘I commend to Allah’s keeping your religious commitment, your dignity and the end of your deeds.’”
