Hadith 174
وحَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الرَّبِيعِ الزَّهْرَانِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبَّادٌ وَهُوَ ابْنُ الْعَوَّامِ ، حَدَّثَنَا الشَّيْبَانِيُّ ، قَالَ : سَأَلْتُ زِرَّ بْنَ حُبَيْشٍ ، عَنْ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ : فَكَانَ قَابَ قَوْسَيْنِ أَوْ أَدْنَى سورة النجم آية 9 ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ مَسْعُودٍ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " رَأَى جِبْرِيلَ لَهُ سِتُّ مِائَةِ جَنَاحٍ " .
Al-Shaibini reported to us: I asked Zirr bin Hubaish about the words of Allah (the Mighty and Great):" So he was (at a distance) of two bows or nearer" (al-Qur'an, Iiii 8). He said: Ibn Mas'ud informed me that, verily, the Apostle of Allah (ﷺ) saw Gabriel (ؑ) and he had six hundred wings.
Hadith 513
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى ، أَخْبَرَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ . ح قَالَ : وحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبَّادُ بْنُ الْعَوَّامِ جَمِيعًا ، عَنْ الشَّيْبَانِيِّ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ شَدَّادِ بْنِ الْهَادِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَتْنِي مَيْمُونَةُ ، زَوْجُ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَتْ : " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يُصَلِّي وَأَنَا حِذَاءَهُ ، وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ ، وَرُبَّمَا أَصَابَنِي ثَوْبُهُ إِذَا سَجَدَ " .
Maimuna, the wife of the Apostle (ﷺ) , reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said prayer and I (lay) opposite to him while I was in menses. Sometimes his clothes touched me when he prostrated.
Hadith 555
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الرَّبِيعِ الزَّهْرَانِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبَّادُ بْنُ الْعَوَّامِ ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ أَبُو مَسْلَمَةَ ، قَالَ : سَأَلْتُ أَنَسًا ، بِمِثْلِهِ .
Sa'd bin Yazid Abu Mas'ama reported: I said to Anas like (that mentioned above).
Hadith 513
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى التَّمِيمِيُّ ، أَخْبَرَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ . ح ، وحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبَّادُ بْنُ الْعَوَّامِ كِلَاهُمَا ، عَنِ الشَّيْبَانِيِّ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ شَدَّادٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَتْنِي مَيْمُونَةُ زَوْجُ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَتْ : " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يُصَلِّي وَأَنَا حِذَاءَهُ ، وَرُبَّمَا أَصَابَنِي ثَوْبُهُ إِذَا سَجَدَ ، وَكَانَ يُصَلِّي عَلَى خُمْرَةٍ " .
Maimuna, the wife of the Apostle of Allah (ﷺ) , reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said prayer while I was by his side, and at times when he prostrated his cloth touched me, and he prayed on a small mat.
Hadith 1005
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ . ح وحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبَّادُ بْنُ الْعَوَّامِ ، كِلَاهُمَا ، عَنْ أَبِي مَالِكٍ الْأَشْجَعِيِّ ، عَنْ رِبْعِيِّ بْنِ حِرَاشٍ ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ فِي حَدِيثِ قُتَيْبَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ نَبِيُّكُمْ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَقَالَ ابْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " كُلُّ مَعْرُوفٍ صَدَقَةٌ " .
Hudhaifa and Abu Shaiba reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: Every act of goodness is sadaqa.
Hadith 1101
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُسْهِرٍ ، وَعَبَّادُ بْنُ الْعَوَّامِ ، عَنْ الشَّيْبَانِيِّ ، عَنْ ابْنِ أَبِي أَوْفَى رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي سَفَرٍ ، فَلَمَّا غَابَتِ الشَّمْسُ ، قَالَ لِرَجُلٍ : " انْزِلْ فَاجْدَحْ لَنَا " ، فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ لَوْ أَمْسَيْتَ ، قَالَ : " انْزِلْ فَاجْدَحْ لَنَا " ، قَالَ : إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا نَهَارًا ، فَنَزَلَ فَجَدَحَ لَهُ ، فَشَرِبَ ثُمَّ قَالَ : " إِذَا رَأَيْتُمُ اللَّيْلَ قَدْ أَقْبَلَ مِنْ هَا هُنَا ، وَأَشَارَ بِيَدِهِ نَحْوَ الْمَشْرِقِ ، فَقَدْ أَفْطَرَ الصَّائِمُ " ،
Ibn Abi Aufa (RA) reported: We were with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) on a journey. When the sun sank he said to a person: Get down and prepare barley meal for us. Upon this he said: Messenger of Allah, let there be dusk. (He the Holy Prophet) said: Get down and prepare barley meal for us. He (the person) said: There is still (the light of) day upon us. (But) he got down (in obedience to the command of the Holy Prophet) and prepared a barley meal for him and he (the Holy Prophet) drank that (liquid meal) and then said: When you see the night approaching from that side (west) (and he pointed towards the east with his hand), then the observer of the fast should break it.
Hadith 1590
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الرَّبِيعِ الْعَتَكِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبَّادُ بْنُ الْعَوَّامِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي إِسْحَاق ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيه ، قَالَ : " نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الْفِضَّةِ بِالْفِضَّةِ ، وَالذَّهَبِ بِالذَّهَبِ إِلَّا سَوَاءً بِسَوَاءٍ ، وَأَمَرَنَا أَنْ نَشْتَرِيَ الْفِضَّةَ بِالذَّهَبِ كَيْفَ شِئْنَا وَنَشْتَرِيَ الذَّهَبَ بِالْفِضَّةِ كَيْفَ شِئْنَا ، قَالَ : فَسَأَلَهُ رَجُلٌ ، فَقَالَ : يَدًا بِيَدٍ ، فَقَالَ : هَكَذَا سَمِعْتُ " ،
Abdul Rabman bin Abia Bakra reported on the authority of his father that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) forbade the sale of gold for gold, and silver for silver except equal for equal, and commanded us to buy silver for gold as we desired and buy gold for silver as we desired. A person asked him (about the nature of payment), whereupon he said: It is to be made on the spot. This is what I heard (from Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him ).
Hadith 1623
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبَّادُ بْنُ الْعَوَّامِ ، عَنْ حُصَيْنٍ ، عَنْ الشَّعْبِيِّ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ النُّعْمَانَ بْنَ بَشِيرٍ . ح وحَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى وَاللَّفْظُ لَهُ ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ ، عَنْ حُصَيْنٍ ، عَنْ الشَّعْبِيِّ ، عَنْ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ ، قَالَ : " تَصَدَّقَ عَلَيَّ أَبِي بِبَعْضِ مَالِهِ ، فَقَالَتْ أُمِّي عَمْرَةُ بِنْتُ رَوَاحَةَ : لَا أَرْضَى حَتَّى تُشْهِدَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَانْطَلَقَ أَبِي إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِيُشْهِدَهُ عَلَى صَدَقَتِي ، فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : أَفَعَلْتَ هَذَا بِوَلَدِكَ كُلِّهِمْ ؟ قَالَ : لَا ، قَالَ : اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَاعْدِلُوا فِي أَوْلَادِكُمْ " فَرَجَعَ أَبِي فَرَدَّ تِلْكَ الصَّدَقَةَ .
Abu Bakr ibn Abi Shaybah narrated to us, 'Abbad ibn al-'Awwam narrated to us, from Husayn, from al-Sha'bi, who said: I heard al-Nu'man ibn Bashir.
And Yahya ibn Yahya narrated to us (and the wording is his), he informed us, Abu al-Ahwas, from Husayn, from al-Sha'bi, from al-Nu'man ibn Bashir, who said:
"My father gave me a gift from his wealth, and my mother, Amrah bint Rawahah, said: 'I am not pleased until you make the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, a witness.' So my father went to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, to make him a witness to my gift. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said to him: 'Did you do this for all your children?' He said: 'No.' He said: 'Fear Allah and be just among your children.' So my father returned and took back that gift."
And Yahya ibn Yahya narrated to us (and the wording is his), he informed us, Abu al-Ahwas, from Husayn, from al-Sha'bi, from al-Nu'man ibn Bashir, who said:
