Hadith 699
وحَدَّثَنَاه عَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاق الْحَضْرَمِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ ، قَالَ وُهَيْبٌ : لَمْ يَسْمَعْهُ مِنْهُ ، قَالَ : أَمَرَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ ، مُؤَذِّنَهُ فِي يَوْمِ جُمُعَةٍ ، فِي يَوْمٍ مَطِيرٍ ، بِنَحْوِ حَدِيثِهِمْ .
A hadith like this that Ibn 'Abbas ordered his Mu'adhdhin (to summon people to prayer and then make announcement to say prayer in their houses) on Friday which was a rainy day, has been transmitted by 'Abdullah b. Harith. Wuhaib, however, says that he did not hear it from him.
Hadith 1021
وحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إسحاق الْحَضْرَمِيُّ ، عَنْ وُهَيْبٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ طَاوُسٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَثَلُ الْبَخِيلِ وَالْمُتَصَدِّقِ ، مَثَلُ رَجُلَيْنِ عَلَيْهِمَا جُنَّتَانِ مِنْ حَدِيدٍ ، إِذَا هَمَّ الْمُتَصَدِّقُ بِصَدَقَةٍ ، اتَّسَعَتْ عَلَيْهِ حَتَّى تُعَفِّيَ أَثَرَهُ ، وَإِذَا هَمَّ الْبَخِيلُ بِصَدَقَةٍ ، تَقَلَّصَتْ عَلَيْهِ وَانْضَمَّتْ يَدَاهُ إِلَى تَرَاقِيهِ ، وَانْقَبَضَتْ كُلُّ حَلْقَةٍ إِلَى صَاحِبَتِهَا " ، قَالَ : فَسَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " فَيَجْهَدُ أَنْ يُوَسِّعَهَا فَلَا يَسْتَطِيعُ " .
Abu Haraira reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as-saying: The similitude of a miserly man and the giver of charity is that of two persons with coats of mail over them; when the giver of charity intends to give charity, it expands over him (so much) that the footprints are also obliterated. And when the miserly man intends to give charity, it contracts over him, and his hands are tied up to his collar bone, and every ring is fixed up to another. He (the narrator) said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) as saying: He would try to expand it, but he would not be able to do so.
Hadith 1244
وحَدَّثَنِي أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الدَّارِمِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاق ، حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي حَسَّانَ ، قَالَ : قِيلَ لِابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ : " إِنَّ هَذَا الْأَمْرَ قَدْ تَفَشَّغَ بِالنَّاسِ ، مَنْ طَافَ بِالْبَيْتِ فَقَدْ حَلَّ الطَّوَافُ عُمْرَةٌ " ، فَقَالَ : " سُنَّةُ نَبِيِّكُمْ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَإِنْ رَغَمْتُمْ " .
Abu Hassaan reported: It was said to Ibn 'Abbas (RA) that this affair had engaged the attention of the people that he who circumambulates the House was permitted to circumambulate for 'Umrah (even though he was in a state of Ihram for Hajj), whereupon he said: That is the Sunnah of your Apostle (ﷺ) , even though you may not approve of it.
Hadith 2523
حَدَّثَنِي زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ ، عَنْ مُغِيرَةَ ، عَنْ عَامِرٍ ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ حَاتِمٍ ، قَالَ : أَتَيْتُ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ ، فَقَالَ لِي : " إِنَّ أَوَّلَ صَدَقَةٍ بَيَّضَتْ وَجْهَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَوُجُوهَ أَصْحَابِهِ صَدَقَةُ طَيِّئٍ جِئْتَ بِهَا إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " .
'Adi bin Hatim reported: I came to Umar bin Khattab and he said to me: The first consignment of Sadaqa brought to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) which brightened the face of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) and the faces of his Companions was that of Tayyi.
Hadith 2861
حَدَّثَنِي زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ . ح وحَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ ، قَالَا جَمِيعًا حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ طَاوُسٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " يُحْشَرُ النَّاسُ عَلَى ثَلَاثِ طَرَائِقَ ، رَاغِبِينَ رَاهِبِينً وَاثْنَانِ عَلَى بَعِيرٍ ، وَثَلَاثَةٌ عَلَى بَعِيرٍ ، وَأَرْبَعَةٌ عَلَى بَعِيرٍ ، وَعَشَرَةٌ عَلَى بَعِيرٍ ، وَتَحْشُرُ بَقِيَّتَهُمُ النَّارُ تَبِيتُ مَعَهُمْ حَيْثُ بَاتُوا ، وَتَقِيلُ مَعَهُمْ حَيْثُ ، قَالُوا : وَتُصْبِحُ مَعَهُمْ حَيْثُ أَصْبَحُوا وَتُمْسِي مَعَهُمْ حَيْثُ أَمْسَوْا " .
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) as saying, The people will be assembled in three categories. Those desirous (of Paradise), fearing (Hell), coming two upon the came], three upon the camel, four upon the camel, ten upon the camel and the rest will be assembled, Hell-Fire being with them when they are at midday where they would spend the night and where they would spend the morning and where they would spend the evening.
Hadith 2881
وحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ طَاوُسٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " فُتِحَ الْيَوْمَ مِنْ رَدْمِ يَأْجُوجَ وَمَأْجُوجَ مِثْلُ هَذِهِ وَعَقَدَ وُهَيْبٌ بِيَدِهِ تِسْعِينَ " .
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) as saying: Today the wall (barrier) of Gog and Magog has been opened so much, and Wuhaib (in order to explain it) made the figure of ninety with the help of his hand.
Hadith 2946
حَدَّثَنِي زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ الْمُخْتَارِ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ ، عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ هِلَالٍ ، عَنْ رَهْطٍ مِنْهُمْ أَبُو الدَّهْمَاءِ ، وَأَبُو قَتَادَةَ ، قَالُوا : كُنَّا نَمُرُّ عَلَى هِشَامِ بْنِ عَامِرٍ نَأْتِي عِمْرَانَ بْنَ حُصَيْنٍ ، فَقَالَ : ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ إِنَّكُمْ لَتُجَاوِزُونِي إِلَى رِجَالٍ مَا كَانُوا بِأَحْضَرَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنِّي ، وَلَا أَعْلَمَ بِحَدِيثِهِ مِنِّي ، سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " مَا بَيْنَ خَلْقِ آدَمَ إِلَى قِيَامِ السَّاعَةِ خَلْقٌ أَكْبَرُ مِنَ الدَّجَّالِ " ،
Abu Qatadah (RA) reported: We used to go to Imran bin Husain passing in front of Hisham bin 'Amir. He, one day, said: You pass by me (in order) to go to some persons but (amongst the living persons) none remained in the company of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) more than I and none knows more ahadith than I. I heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: There would be no creation (creating more trouble) than the Dajjal right from the creation of Adam ؑto the Last Hour.
