Hadith 1690
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ صُدْرَانَ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ الْبَصْرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا طَالِبُ بْنُ حُجَيْرٍ، عَنْ هُودِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ مَزِيدَةَ، قَالَ : دَخَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ الْفَتْحِ وَعَلَى سَيْفِهِ ذَهَبٌ وَفِضَّةٌ ، قَالَ طَالِبٌ : فَسَأَلْتُهُ عَنِ الْفِضَّةِ ، فَقَالَ : " كَانَتْ قَبِيعَةُ السَّيْفِ فِضَّةً " ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : وَفِي الْبَاب ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، وَهَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ ، وَجَدُّ هُودٍ اسْمُهُ : مَزِيدَةُ الْعَصَرِيُّ .
Mazidah (may Allah be pleased with him) says that on the day of the conquest of Makkah, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) entered Makkah and his sword was adorned with gold and silver. The narrator, Talib, says: I asked Hud ibn Abdullah about the silver, and he said: The knob of the hilt was of silver 1. © Imam Tirmidhi says:
