Hadith 1288
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَمَّارٍ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ حُرَيْثٍ الْخُزَاعِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ مُوسَى، عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ أَبِي جُبَيْرٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ رَافِعِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، قَالَ : كُنْتُ أَرْمِي نَخْلَ الْأَنْصَارِ ، فَأَخَذُونِي ، فَذَهَبُوا بِي إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : " يَا رَافِعُ ، لِمَ تَرْمِي نَخْلَهُمْ " ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، الْجُوعُ ، قَالَ : " لَا تَرْمِ ، وَكُلْ مَا وَقَعَ أَشْبَعَكَ اللَّهُ وَأَرْوَاكَ " . هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ غَرِيبٌ .
Rafi‘ bin ‘Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both) says: I used to throw stones at the date-palm trees of the Ansar. They caught me and took me to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). He asked: “Rafi‘! Why do you throw stones at their date-palm trees?” I replied: O Messenger of Allah! Because of hunger. He said: “Do not throw stones. Eat what falls by itself. May Allah make you satisfied and quenched.” © Imam Tirmidhi says:
