Hadith 2672
Abu Wa'il reported: I was sitting with Abu Musa and 'Abdullah and they were conversing with each other and Abu Musa reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying (that we find in the above-mentioned ahadith).

'Abdullah reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: Nothing is more loveable to Allah than His praise as He has praised Himself and no one is more self-respecting than Allah Himself and it is because of this that He has prohibited abominable acts.

'Abdullah bin Mas'ud reported it directly from Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) that he said: None is more self-respecting than Allah and it is because of this that He has prohibited abominable acts-both visible and invisible and nothing is loved by Allah more than the praise of His Ownself and it is because of this that He has praised Himself.

شَقِيقٍ ، قَالَ : كُنَّا جُلُوسًا عِنْدَ بَابِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ نَنْتَظِرُهُ ، فَمَرَّ بِنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ النَّخَعِيُّ ، فَقُلْنَا : أَعْلِمْهُ بِمَكَانِنَا ، فَدَخَلَ عَلَيْهِ فَلَمْ يَلْبَثْ أَنْ خَرَجَ عَلَيْنَا
عَبْدُ اللَّهِ ، فَقَالَ : إِنِّي أُخْبَرُ بِمَكَانِكُمْ ، فَمَا يَمْنَعُنِي أَنْ أَخْرُجَ إِلَيْكُمْ إِلَّا كَرَاهِيَةُ أَنْ أُمِلَّكُمْ ، إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " كَانَ يَتَخَوَّلُنَا بِالْمَوْعِظَةِ فِي الْأَيَّامِ مَخَافَةَ السَّآمَةِ عَلَيْنَا " ،
Shaqiq reported: We were sitting at the door of 'Abdullah (b. Mas'ud) waiting for him (to come out and deliver a sermon to us). It was at this time that there happened to pass by us Yazid bin Mu'awiyah an-Nakha'i. We said: Inform him ('Abdullah bin Mas'ud) of our presence here. He went in and 'Abdullah bin Mas'ud lost no time in coming out to us and said: I was informed of your presence here but nothing hindered me to come out to you but the fact that I did not like to bore you (by stuffing your minds with sermons) as Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) did not deliver us sermon on certain days fearing that it might prove to be boring for us.
Hadith 2821

Shaqiq bin Wi'il reported that 'Abdullah used to give us sermon every Thursday. A person said: Abu 'Abdul Rahman, we love your talk and so we yearn (to listen to you) and earnestly desire that you should deliver us lecture every day. Thereupon he said: There is nothing to hinder me in giving you talk (every day) but the fact that you may be bored. Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) did not deliver sermons on certain days (fearing that we might be bored).
Hadith 2842
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: The Hell would he brought on that day (the Day of Judgment) with seventy bridles and every bridle would be controlled by seventy angels.

حُذَيْفَةَ ، قَالَ " قَامَ فِينَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَقَامًا مَا تَرَكَ شَيْئًا يَكُونُ فِي مَقَامِهِ ذَلِكَ إِلَى قِيَامِ السَّاعَةِ ، إِلَّا حَدَّثَ بِهِ حَفِظَهُ مَنْ حَفِظَهُ ، وَنَسِيَهُ مَنْ نَسِيَهُ ، قَدْ عَلِمَهُ أَصْحَابِي هَؤُلَاءِ ، وَإِنَّهُ لَيَكُونُ مِنْهُ الشَّيْءُ قَدْ نَسِيتُهُ ، فَأَرَاهُ فَأَذْكُرُهُ كَمَا يَذْكُرُ الرَّجُلُ وَجْهَ الرَّجُلِ إِذَا غَابَ عَنْهُ ، ثُمَّ إِذَا رَآهُ عَرَفَهُ " ،
Hudhaifa reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) stood before us one day and he did not leave anything unsaid (that he had to say) at that very spot which would happen (in the shape of turmoil) up to the Last Hour. Those who had to remember them preserved them in their minds and those who could not remember them forgot them. My friends knew them and there are certain things which slipped from my mind, but I recapitulate them when anyone makes a mention of them just as a person is lost from one's mind but is recalled to him on seeing his face.

حُذَيْفَةَ ، قَالَ : كُنَّا عِنْدَ عُمَرَ ، فَقَالَ : أَيُّكُمْ يَحْفَظُ حَدِيثَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الْفِتْنَةِ كَمَا قَالَ ؟ ، قَالَ : فَقُلْتُ : أَنَا ، قَالَ : إِنَّكَ لَجَرِيءٌ ، وَكَيْفَ قَالَ ؟ ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " فِتْنَةُ الرَّجُلِ فِي أَهْلِهِ وَمَالِهِ وَنَفْسِهِ وَوَلَدِهِ وَجَارِهِ ، يُكَفِّرُهَا الصِّيَامُ وَالصَّلَاةُ وَالصَّدَقَةُ ، وَالْأَمْرُ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَالنَّهْيُ عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ " ، فَقَالَ عُمَرُ : لَيْسَ هَذَا أُرِيدُ إِنَّمَا أُرِيدُ الَّتِي تَمُوجُ كَمَوْجِ الْبَحْرِ ، قَالَ : فَقُلْتُ : مَا لَكَ وَلَهَا يَا أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ، إِنَّ بَيْنَكَ وَبَيْنَهَا بَابًا مُغْلَقًا ، قَالَ : أَفَيُكْسَرُ الْبَابُ أَمْ يُفْتَحُ ؟ ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ : لَا بَلْ يُكْسَرُ ، قَالَ : ذَلِكَ أَحْرَى أَنْ لَا يُغْلَقَ أَبَدًا ، قَالَ : فَقُلْنَا : لِحُذَيْفَةَ هَلْ كَانَ عُمَرُ يَعْلَمُ مَنِ الْبَابُ ؟ ، قَالَ : نَعَمْ ، كَمَا يَعْلَمُ أَنَّ دُونَ غَدٍ اللَّيْلَةَ إِنِّي حَدَّثْتُهُ حَدِيثًا لَيْسَ بِالْأَغَالِيطِ ، قَالَ : فَهِبْنَا أَنْ نَسْأَلَ حُذَيْفَةَ مَنِ الْبَابُ ، فَقُلْنَا لِمَسْرُوقٍ : سَلْهُ فَسَأَلَهُ ، فَقَالَ عُمَرُ " ،
Hudhaifa repotted: We were one day in the company of 'Umar that he said: Who amongst you has preserved in his mind most perfectly the hadith of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) in regard to the turmoil as he told about it? I said: It is I. Thereupon he said: You are bold (enough to make this claim). And he further said: How? I said: I heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: There would (first) be turmoil for a person in regard to his family, his property, his own self, his children, his neighbours (and the sins committed in their connection) would be expiated by fasting, prayer, charity, enjoining good and prohibiting evil. Thereupon 'Umar said: I do not mean (that turmoil on a small scale) but that one which would emerge like the mounting waves of the ocean. I said: Commander of the Faithful, you have nothing to do with it, for the door is closed between you and that. He said: Would that door be broken or opened? I said: No, it would be broken. Thereupon he said: Then it would not be closed despite best efforts. We said to Hudhaifa (RA) : Did Umar know the door? Thereupon he said: Yes, he knew it (for certain) just as one knows that night precedes the next day. And I narrated to him something in which there was nothing fabricated. Shaqiq (one of the narrators) said: We dared not ask Hudhaifa about that door. So we requested Masrdq to ask him. So he asked him and he said: (By that door, he meant 'Umar).

Hudhaifa reported that Umar said: Who would narrate to us (the ahadith pertaining to turmoil) and he reported a hadith similar to these ahadith.

أَبِي وَائِلٍ ، عَنْ
عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَمَرَرْنَا بِصِبْيَانٍ فِيهِمْ ابْنُ صَيَّادٍ ، فَفَرَّ الصِّبْيَانُ وَجَلَسَ ابْنُ صَيَّادٍ ، فَكَأَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَرِهَ ذَلِكَ ، فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " تَرِبَتْ يَدَاكَ أَتَشْهَدُ أَنِّي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ؟ " ، فَقَالَ : لَا بَلْ تَشْهَدُ أَنِّي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ، فَقَالَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ : ذَرْنِي يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ حَتَّى أَقْتُلَهُ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنْ يَكُنِ الَّذِي تَرَى فَلَنْ تَسْتَطِيعَ قَتْلَهُ " .
'Abdullah reported: We were along with Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) that we happened to pass by children amongst whom there was Ibn Sayyad. The children made their way but Ibn Sayyad kept sitting there (and it seemed) as if Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) did not like it (his sitting with the children) and said to him: May your nose he besmeared with dust, don't you bear testimony to the fact that I am the Messenger of Allah? (ﷺ) Thereupon he said: No, but you should bear testimony that I am the messenger of Allah. Thereupon 'Umar bin Khattab said: Allah's Messenger, permit me that I should kill him. Thereupon Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: If he is that person who is in your mind (Dajjal ), you will not be able to kill him.

عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : كُنَّا نَمْشِي مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَمَرَّ بِابْنِ صَيَّادٍ ، فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " قَدْ خَبَأْتُ لَكَ خَبِيئًا " ، فَقَالَ : دُخٌّ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " اخْسَأْ فَلَنْ تَعْدُوَ قَدْرَكَ " ، فَقَالَ عُمَرُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، دَعْنِي فَأَضْرِبَ عُنُقَهُ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " دَعْهُ ، فَإِنْ يَكُنِ الَّذِي تَخَافُ لَنْ تَسْتَطِيعَ قَتْلَهُ " .
'Abdullah reported: We were walking with Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) that Ibn Sayyad happened to pass by him. Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said to him: I have concealed for you (something to test you, so tell me that). He said: It is Dukh. Thereupon Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said to him: Be off. You cannot get farther than your rank, whereupon 'Umar said: Allah's Messenger, permit me to strike his neck. Thereupon Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: Leave him; if he is that one (Dajjal) whom you apprehend, you will not be able to kill him.
Hadith 2934
Hudhaifa reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: Dajjal is blind of left eye with thick hair and there would be a garden and fire with him and his fire would be a garden and his garden would be fire.

أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ ، قَالَ : قِيلَ لَهُ : أَلَا تَدْخُلُ عَلَى عُثْمَانَ فَتُكَلِّمَهُ ، فَقَالَ : أَتَرَوْنَ أَنِّي لَا أُكَلِّمُهُ إِلَّا أُسْمِعُكُمْ ، وَاللَّهِ لَقَدْ كَلَّمْتُهُ فِيمَا بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَهُ ، مَا دُونَ أَنْ أَفْتَتِحَ أَمْرًا لَا أُحِبُّ أَنْ أَكُونَ أَوَّلَ مَنْ فَتَحَهُ ، وَلَا أَقُولُ لِأَحَدٍ يَكُونُ عَلَيَّ أَمِيرًا ، إِنَّهُ خَيْرُ النَّاسِ بَعْدَ مَا سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " يُؤْتَى بِالرَّجُلِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ، فَيُلْقَى فِي النَّارِ ، فَتَنْدَلِقُ أَقْتَابُ بَطْنِهِ ، فَيَدُورُ بِهَا كَمَا يَدُورُ الْحِمَارُ بِالرَّحَى ، فَيَجْتَمِعُ إِلَيْهِ أَهْلُ النَّارِ ، فَيَقُولُونَ يَا فُلَانُ : مَا لَكَ أَلَمْ تَكُنْ تَأْمُرُ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَتَنْهَى عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ ؟ ، فَيَقُولُ : بَلَى ، قَدْ كُنْتُ آمُرُ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَلَا آتِيهِ وَأَنْهَى عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ وَآتِيهِ " ،
Shaqiq reported that it was said to Usama bin Zaid: Why don't you visit 'Uthman and talk to him? Thereupon he said: Do you think that I have not talked to him but that I have made you hear? By Allah. I have talked to him (about things) concerning me and him and I did not like to divulge those things about which I had to take the initiative and I do not say to my ruler: "You are the best among people," after I heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: A man will be brought on the Day of Resurrection and thrown in Hell-Fire and his intestines will pour forth in Hell and he will go round along with them, as an ass goes round the mill-stone. The denizens of Hell would gather round him and say: 0, so and so, what has happened to you? Were you not enjoining us to do what was reputable and forbid us to do what was disreputable? He will say: Of course, it is so; I used to enjoin (upon people) to do what was reputable but did not practise that myself. I had been forbidding people to do what was disreputable, but practised it myself.
Hadith 2989
Abu Wa'il reported: I was in the company of Usama bin Zaid that a person said: What prevents you to visit 'Uthman and talk to him for what he does? The rest of the hadith is the same.
