Hadith 1344
حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْحَمَّالُ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْجُعْفِيُّ ، عَنْ زَائِدَةَ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدَةَ بْنِ أَبِي لُبَابَةَ ، عَنْ سُوَيْدِ بْنِ غَفَلَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ يَبْلُغُ بِهِ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " مَنْ أَتَى فِرَاشَهُ وَهُوَ يَنْوِي أَنْ يَقُومَ فَيُصَلِّيَ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَغَلَبَتْهُ عَيْنُهُ حَتَّى يُصْبِحَ ، كُتِبَ لَهُ مَا نَوَى وَكَانَ نَوْمُهُ صَدَقَةً عَلَيْهِ مِنْ رَبِّهِ " .
´It was narrated that Abu Darda’ conveyed that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:` “Whoever goes to bed intending to wake up and pray during the night, but is overwhelmed by sleep until morning comes, what he intended will be recorded for him, and his sleep is a charity given to him by his Lord.”
Hadith 1801
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ الثَّقَفِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي لَيْلَى الْكِنْدِيِّ ، عَنْ سُوَيْدِ بْنِ غَفَلَةَ ، قَالَ : " جَاءَنَا مُصَدِّقُ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَخَذْتُ بِيَدِهِ ، وَقَرَأْتُ فِي عَهْدِهِ ، لَا يُجْمَعُ بَيْنَ مُتَفَرِّقٍ ، وَلَا يُفَرَّقُ بَيْنَ مُجْتَمِعٍ خَشْيَةَ الصَّدَقَةِ ، فَأَتَاهُ رَجُلٌ بِنَاقَةٍ عَظِيمَةٍ مُلَمْلَمَةٍ فَأَبَى أَنْ يَأْخُذَهَا ، فَأَتَاهُ بِأُخْرَى دُونَهَا فَأَخَذَهَا ، وَقَالَ : أَيُّ أَرْضٍ تُقِلُّنِي ، وَأَيُّ سَمَاءٍ تُظِلُّنِي ، إِذَا أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَقَدْ أَخَذْتُ خِيَارَ إِبِلِ رَجُلٍ مُسْلِمٍ " .
´It was narrated that:` Suwaid bin Ghafalah said: ”The Zakah collector of the Prophet came to us, and I took him by the hand and read in his order: 'Do not gather separate herds and do not separate herd for fear of Sadaqah'. A man brought him a huge, fat she-camel, but he refused to accept it. So he brought him another of lower quality and he accepted it. He said: 'What land would shelter me, if I came to the Messenger of Allah having taken the nest of a Muslim man's camels?' ”
Hadith 2506
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ كُهَيْلٍ ، عَنْ سُوَيْدِ بْنِ غَفَلَةَ ، قَالَ : خَرَجْتُ مَعَ زَيْدِ بْنِ صُوحَانَ ، وَسَلْمَانَ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ حَتَّى إِذَا كُنَّا بِالْعُذَيْبِ الْتَقَطْتُ سَوْطًا ، فَقَالَا لِي : أَلْقِهِ ، فَأَبَيْتُ ، فَلَمَّا قَدِمْنَا الْمَدِينَةَ أَتَيْتُ أُبَيَّ بْنَ كَعْبٍ فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لَهُ ، فَقَالَ : أَصَبْتَ ، الْتَقَطْتُ مِائَةَ دِينَارٍ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَسَأَلْتُهُ ، فَقَالَ : " عَرِّفْهَا سَنَةً " ، فَعَرَّفْتُهَا فَلَمْ أَجِدْ أَحَدًا يَعْرِفُهَا ، فَسَأَلْتُهُ ، فَقَالَ : " عَرِّفْهَا " . فَعَرَّفْتُهَا ، فَلَمْ أَجِدْ أَحَدًا يَعْرِفُهَا ، فَقَالَ : " اعْرِفْ وِعَاءَهَا وَوِكَاءَهَا وَعَدَدَهَا ، ثُمَّ عَرِّفْهَا سَنَةً ، فَإِنْ جَاءَ مَنْ يَعْرِفُهَا ، وَإِلَّا ، فَهِيَ كَسَبِيلِ مَالِكَ " .
´It was narrated that Suwaid bin Ghafalah said:` “I went out with Zaid bin Suhan and Salman bin Rabi'ah, and when we were at `Udhaib, I found a whip. They said to me: 'Throw it away,' but I refused. When we came to Al-Madinah I went to Ubayy bin Ka'b and told him about that. He said: 'You did the right thing. I found one hundred dinar that had been lost at the time of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), and I asked him about it. He said, “Announce it for a year.” So I Announced it, and I did not find anyone who recognized it. He said: “Remember the features of its bag and strap, and how many it contains, then announce it for a year. If someone comes who describes it with those features, (give it to him), otherwise it is like your own property.”
