Hadith 1076
أَخْبَرَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ سَلْمٍ الْبَلْخِيُّ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا النَّضْرُ ، قال : أَنْبَأَنَا هِشَامٌ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قال : " لَأُقَرِّبَنَّ لَكُمْ صَلَاةَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : فَكَانَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ يَقْنُتُ فِي الرَّكْعَةِ الْآخِرَةِ مِنْ صَلَاةِ الظُّهْرِ وَصَلَاةِ الْعِشَاءِ الْآخِرَةِ وَصَلَاةِ الصُّبْحِ بَعْدَ مَا يَقُولُ سَمِعَ اللَّهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَهُ فَيَدْعُو لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَيَلْعَنُ الْكَفَرَةَ " .
´It was narrated from Abu Salamah, that Abu Hurairah said:` "I shall explain to you the prayer of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)." He said: "Abu Hurairah used to say the Qunut in the last rak'ah of the Zuhr prayer, and the later Isha' prayer, and the Subh, after saying 'Sami Allahu liman hamidah.' He would pray for the believers and curse the disbelievers.'"
Hadith 1654
أَخْبَرَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ سَلْمٍ الْبَلْخِيُّ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا النَّضْرُ ، قال : أَنْبَأَنَا يُونُسُ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ ، قَالَتْ : " مَا قُبِضَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَتَّى كَانَ أَكْثَرُ صَلَاتِهِ جَالِسًا إِلَّا الْمَكْتُوبَةَ " , خَالَفَهُ شُعْبَةُ وَسُفْيَانُ ، وَقَالَا : عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ .
´It was narrated from Al-Aswad, that Umm Salamah said:` "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) did not pass away until most of his prayers were offered sitting down, except for the obligatory prayers."
Hadith 1678
أَخْبَرَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ سَلْمٍ , وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ , عَنِ النَّضْرِ بْنِ شُمَيْلٍ ، قال : أَنْبَأَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ أَبِي شِمْرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قال : " أَوْصَانِي خَلِيلِي صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِثَلَاثٍ : النَّوْمِ عَلَى وِتْرٍ , وَصِيَامِ ثَلَاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ مِنْ كُلِّ شَهْرٍ , وَرَكْعَتَيِ الضُّحَى " .
´It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said:` "My dearest friend advised me (to do) three things: 'To sleep after praying Witr, to fast three days each month, and to pray two rak'ahs of Fajr.'"
Hadith 4366
أَخْبَرَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ سَلْمٍ الْبَلْخِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا النَّضْرُ وَهُوَ ابْنُ شُمَيْلٍ ، قَالَ : أَنْبَأَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ مُسْلِمٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مَنْ رَأَى هِلَالَ ذِي الْحِجَّةِ فَأَرَادَ أَنْ يُضَحِّيَ فَلَا يَأْخُذْ مِنْ شَعْرِهِ ، وَلَا مِنْ أَظْفَارِهِ حَتَّى يُضَحِّيَ " .
´It was narrated from Ummm Salamah that the Prophet said:` "Whoever sees the new crescent of Dhul-Hijjah and wants to offer a sacrifice, let him not remove any of his hair or nails until he has offered the sacrifice."
Hadith 4980
أَخْبَرَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ سَلْمٍ الْمَصَاحِفِيُّ الْبَلْخِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا النَّضْرُ بْنُ شُمَيْلٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، قَالَ : أَنْبَأَنَا يُوسُفُ ، عَنْ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ حَاطِبٍ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أُتِيَ بِلِصٍّ ، فَقَالَ : " اقْتُلُوهُ " ، فَقَالُوا : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ , إِنَّمَا سَرَقَ ، فَقَالَ : " اقْتُلُوهُ " ، قَالُوا : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ , إِنَّمَا سَرَقَ ، قَالَ : " اقْطَعُوا يَدَهُ " ، قَالَ : ثُمَّ سَرَقَ ، فَقُطِعَتْ رِجْلُهُ ، ثُمَّ سَرَقَ عَلَى عَهْدِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، حَتَّى قُطِعَتْ قَوَائِمُهُ كُلُّهَا ، ثُمَّ سَرَقَ أَيْضًا الْخَامِسَةَ ، فَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَعْلَمَ بِهَذَا حِينَ ، قَالَ : " اقْتُلُوهُ " ، ثُمَّ دَفَعَهُ إِلَى فِتْيَةٍ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ لِيَقْتُلُوهُ ، مِنْهُمْ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ ، وَكَانَ يُحِبُّ الْإِمَارَةَ ، فَقَالَ : أَمِّرُونِي عَلَيْكُمْ فَأَمَّرُوهُ عَلَيْهِمْ فَكَانَ إِذَا ضَرَبَ ضَرَبُوهُ حَتَّى قَتَلُوهُ .
´It was narrated from Al-Harith bin Hatib that a thief was brought to the Messenger of Allah and he said:` "Kill him." They said: "O Messenger of Allah, he only stole (something)." He said: "Kill him." They said: "O Messenger of Allah, he only stole (something)." He said: "Cut off his hand." Then he stole again, and his foot was cut off. Then he stole at the time of Abu Bakr, untilo all his extremities had been cut off. Then he stole a fifth time, and Abu Bakr, may Allah be pleased with him, said: "The Messenger of Allah knew better about him when he said: 'Kill him."' Then he handed him over to some young men of Quraish to kill him, among whom was 'Abdullah bin Az-Zubair who liked to be in a position of leadership. He said: "Put me in charge of them," so they put him in charge of them and when he struck him, they would strike him, until they killed him.
Hadith 5144
أَخْبَرَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ سَلْمٍ الْبَلْخِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا النَّضْرُ بْنُ شُمَيْلٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَّامٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي أَسْمَاءَ ، عَنْ ثَوْبَانَ ، قَالَ : جَاءَتْ بِنْتُ هُبَيْرَةَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَفِي يَدِهَا فَتَخٌ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ , أَيْ : خَوَاتِيمُ ضِخَامٌ نَحْوَهُ .
´It was narrated that Thawban said:` "The daughter of Hubairah came to the Messenger of Allah [SAW] and on her hand were large gold rings." - a similar report.
Hadith 5309
أَخْبَرَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ سَلْمٍ ، قَالَ : أَنْبَأَنَا النَّضْرُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ بَكْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ , وَبِشْرِ بْنِ الْمُحْتَفِزِ , عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " إِنَّمَا يَلْبَسُ الْحَرِيرَ مَنْ لَا خَلَاقَ لَهُ " .
´It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar, :` That the Messenger of Allah [SAW] said: "Silk is only worn by one who has no share."
Hadith 5483
أَخْبَرَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ سَلْمٍ الْبَلْخِيُّ هُوَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ الْمُصَاحِفِيّ , قَالَ : أَنْبَأَنَا النَّضْرُ ، قَالَ : أَنْبَأَنَا يُونُسُ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاق ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ ، يَقُولُ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَتَعَوَّذُ مِنْ خَمْسٍ : " اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْجُبْنِ ، وَالْبُخْلِ ، وَسُوءِ الْعُمُرِ ، وَفِتْنَةِ الصَّدْرِ ، وَعَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ " .
´It was narrated that 'Urwah bin Maimun said:` "I heard 'Umar bin Al-Khattab say: 'The Messenger of Allah [SAW] used to seek refuge with Allah from five things and say: Allahumma inni a'udhu bika minal-jubni, wal-bukhli, wa suw'il-'umuri, wa fitnatis-sadri wa 'adhabil-qabr (O Allah, I seek refuge with You from cowardice, miserliness, reaching the age of second childhood, the trials of the heart and the torment of the grave.)'"
