Hadith 344
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ الْأَحْوَلِ ، قال : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا حَاجِبٍ ، قال أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ : وَاسْمُهُ سَوَادَةُ بْنُ عَاصِمٍ ، عَنْ الْحَكَمِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " نَهَى أَنْ يَتَوَضَّأَ الرَّجُلُ بِفَضْلِ وُضُوءِ الْمَرْأَةِ " .
It was narrated from Al-Hakam bin 'Amr that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) forbade a man from performing Wudu' with the leftovers of a woman's (water for) Wudu'.
Hadith 523
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، قال : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا أَيُّوبَ الْأَزْدِيَّ يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، قال شُعْبَةُ : كَانَ قَتَادَةُ يَرْفَعُهُ أَحْيَانًا وَأَحْيَانًا لَا يَرْفَعُهُ ، قال : " وَقْتُ صَلَاةِ الظُّهْرِ مَا لَمْ تَحْضُرِ الْعَصْرُ ، وَوَقْتُ صَلَاةِ الْعَصْرِ مَا لَمْ تَصْفَرَّ الشَّمْسُ ، وَوَقْتُ الْمَغْرِبِ مَا لَمْ يَسْقُطْ ثَوْرُ الشَّفَقِ ، وَوَقْتُ الْعِشَاءِ مَا لَمْ يَنْتَصِفْ اللَّيْلُ ، وَوَقْتُ الصُّبْحِ مَا لَمْ تَطْلُعِ الشَّمْسُ " .
´It was narrated from 'Abdullah bin 'Amr - and (one of the narrators) Shu'bah said:` "Sometimes he (Qatadah, his teacher) narrated it as a Marfu' report and sometimes he did not" - "The time for Zuhr prayer is until 'Asr comes, and the time for 'Asr prayer is until the sun turns yellow. the time for Maghrib is until the twilight disappears, and the time for 'Isha' is until the night is halfway through, and the time for Subh is until the sun rises."
Hadith 618
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ الْبُنَانِيِّ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ رَبَاحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَمَّا نَامُوا عَنِ الصَّلَاةِ حَتَّى طَلَعَتِ الشَّمْسُ ، قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " فَلْيُصَلِّهَا أَحَدُكُمْ مِنَ الْغَدِ لِوَقْتِهَا " .
´It was narrated from Abu Qatadah that when they missed the prayer because they slept until the sun rose, the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` "Let any one of you pray it during its time tomorrow."
Hadith 798
أَخْبَرَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلَانَ ، قال : حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، قال : أَنْبَأَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ أَبِي عَائِشَةَ ، قال : سَمِعْتُ عُبَيْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " أَمَرَ أَبَا بَكْرٍ أَنْ يُصَلِّيَ بِالنَّاسِ قَالَتْ وَكَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَيْنَ يَدَيْ أَبِي بَكْرٍ فَصَلَّى قَاعِدًا وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ يُصَلِّي بِالنَّاسِ وَالنَّاسُ خَلْفَ أَبِي بَكْرٍ " .
´It was narrated from Aisha may Allah be pleased with her, that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) told Abu Bakr to lead the people in prayer. She said:` "The Prophet was in front of Abu Bakr and he prayed sitting down, and Abu Bakr was leading the people in prayer, and the people were behind Abu Bakr."
Hadith 1035
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، قال : حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ عُمَرَ قال : " سُنَّتْ لَكُمُ الرُّكَبُ فَأَمْسِكُوا بِالرُّكَبِ " .
´It was narrated that 'Umar said:` "It is established for you to hold the knees, so hold the knees."
Hadith 1078
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ . ح وَهِشَامٌ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " قَنَتَ شَهْرًا " قَالَ شُعْبَةُ : لَعَنَ رِجَالًا وَقَالَ هِشَامٌ : يَدْعُو عَلَى أَحْيَاءٍ مِنْ أَحْيَاءِ الْعَرَبِ ، ثُمَّ تَرَكَهُ بَعْدَ الرُّكُوعِ هَذَا قَوْلُ هِشَامٍ ، وَقَالَ شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " قَنَتَ شَهْرًا يَلْعَنُ رِعْلًا ، وَذَكْوَانَ ، وَلِحْيَانَ " .
´It was narrated from Anas:` "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said the Qunut for a month."- (One of the narrators) Shu'bah said: "He cursed some men." Hisham said: "He supplicated against some of the tribes of Arabs."-"Then he stopped doing that after bowing." This is what Hisham said. Shu'bah said, narrating from Qatadah, from Anas that the Prophet (ﷺ) said the Qunut for a month, cursing Ri'l, Dhawkan and Lihyan.
Hadith 1204
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ وَهُوَ ابْنُ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ , عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى ، عَنْ ضَمْضَمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَمَرَ بِقَتْلِ الْأَسْوَدَيْنِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ " .
´It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that:` The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) enjoined killing the two black ones (snakes and scorpions) while praying.
Hadith 1741
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ عَزْرَةَ يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبْزَى ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " كَانَ يُوتِرُ بِ سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى وَ قُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ وَ قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ فَإِذَا فَرَغَ , قَالَ : " سُبْحَانَ الْمَلِكِ الْقُدُّوسِ ثَلَاثًا " .
´Muhammad bin Bashshar informed us, he said:` "Abu Dawud narrated to us from Shu'bah, from Qatadah, who said: I heard 'Azarah narrating from Sa'eed bin 'Abdur-Rahman Ibn Abza, from his father That the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to recite in witr: Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High;" and "Say: O you disbelievers!;' and 'Say: He is Allah, (the) One.' And when he had finished praying, he said: Subhanal-Malikil-Quddus (Glory be to the Sovereign, the Most Holy) three times."
Hadith 1742
أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ زُرَارَةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبْزَى ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " كَانَ يُوتِرُ بِ سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى وَ قُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ وَ قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ فَإِذَا فَرَغَ , قَالَ : " سُبْحَانَ الْمَلِكِ الْقُدُّوسِ ثَلَاثًا " وَيَمُدُّ فِي الثَّالِثَةِ " .
´Ishawq bin Mansur informed us, he said:` "Abu Dawud narrated to us, he said: Shu'ba narrated to us, from Qatadah, from Abdur-Rahman bin Abza, that The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to recite in witr: Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High;" and "Say: O you disbelievers!;' and 'Say: He is Allah, (the) One.' And when he said the taslim, he would say: Subhanal-Malikil-Quddus (Glory be to the Sovereign, the Most Holy) three times, elongating his words the third time."
Hadith 1850
أَخْبَرَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلَانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ صُبَيْحٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ سِيرِينَ ، يَقُولُ : ذُكِرَ عِنْدَ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ : " الْمَيِّتُ يُعَذَّبُ بِبُكَاءِ الْحَيِّ " , فَقَالَ عِمْرَانُ : قَالَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " .
´It was narrated that 'Abdullah bin Subaih said:` "I heard Muhammad bin Sirin say: It was mentioned in the presence of 'Imran bin Husain that the deceased is punished due to the weeping of the living.' 'Imran said: "The Messenger of Allah said it."
Hadith 1906
أَخْبَرَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلَانَ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، وَشَبَابَةُ , قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ خُلَيْدِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ ، سَمِعَ أَبَا نَضْرَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، قال : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَطْيَبُ الطِّيبِ الْمِسْكُ " .
´It was narrated that Abu Sa'eed said:` "The Messenger of Allah said: "The best of perfume is musk."'
Hadith 1962
أَخْبَرَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلَانَ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَوْهَبٍ ، سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أُتِيَ بِرَجُلٍ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ لِيُصَلِّيَ عَلَيْهِ ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " صَلُّوا عَلَى صَاحِبِكُمْ , فَإِنَّ عَلَيْهِ دَيْنًا " , قَالَ أَبُو قَتَادَةَ : هُوَ عَلَيَّ , قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " بِالْوَفَاءِ " , قَالَ : بِالْوَفَاءِ ، فَصَلَّى عَلَيْهِ .
´'Abdullah bin Abi Qatadah narrated from his father that:` a man was brought to the Prophet for him to offer the funeral prayer, and he said: "Pray for your companion, for he owes a debt." Abu Qatadah said: " I will pay it." The Prophet said: "In full?" He said: "In full." So he prayed for him
Hadith 1976
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، قال : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، سَمِعْتُ شُعْبَةَ ، يَقُولُ : السَّاعَةَ يَخْرُجُ السَّاعَةَ يَخْرُجُ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، قال : " كُنْتُ فِي الصَّفِّ الثَّانِي يَوْمَ صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى النَّجَاشِيِّ " .
´It was narrated that Jabir said:` "I was in the second row on the day the Messenger of Allah offered the funeral prayer for An-Najashi."
Hadith 2089
أَخْبَرَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلَانَ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، وَوَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ , وَأَبُو دَاوُدَ , عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ النُّعْمَانِ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : قَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِالْمَوْعِظَةِ , فَقَالَ : " يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ , إِنَّكُمْ مَحْشُورُونَ إِلَى اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ عُرَاةً قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ : حُفَاةً غُرْلًا ، وَقَالَ وَكِيعٌ ، وَوَهْبٌ : عُرَاةً غُرْلًا كَمَا بَدَأْنَا أَوَّلَ خَلْقٍ نُعِيدُهُ سورة الأنبياء آية 104 , قَالَ : أَوَّلُ مَنْ يُكْسَى يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ إِبْرَاهِيمُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام وَإِنَّهُ سَيُؤْتَى قَالَ : أَبُو دَاوُدَ : يُجَاءُ ، وَقَالَ وَهْبٌ ، وَوَكِيعٌ سَيُؤْتَى بِرِجَالٍ مِنْ أُمَّتِي فَيُؤْخَذُ بِهِمْ ذَاتَ الشِّمَالِ , فَأَقُولُ : رَبِّ أَصْحَابِي ، فَيُقَالُ : إِنَّكَ لَا تَدْرِي مَا أَحْدَثُوا بَعْدَكَ , فَأَقُولُ : كَمَا قَالَ الْعَبْدُ الصَّالِحُ وَكُنْتُ عَلَيْهِمْ شَهِيدًا مَا دُمْتُ فِيهِمْ فَلَمَّا تَوَفَّيْتَنِي إِلَى قَوْلِهِ وَإِنْ تَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ سورة المائدة آية 117 - 118 الْآيَةَ , فَيُقَالُ : إِنَّ هَؤُلَاءِ لَمْ يَزَالُوا مُدْبِرِينَ , قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ : مُرْتَدِّينَ عَلَى أَعْقَابِهِمْ مُنْذُ فَارَقْتَهُمْ " .
´It was narrated that Ibn Abbas said:` "The Messenger of Allah stood up to give an admonition and he said: 'O people, you will be gathered to Allah naked."' (One of the narrators) Abu Dawud said: "Barefoot and uncircumcised." (The narrators) Waki and Wahb said: "Naked and uncircumcised: As We began the first creation, We shall repeat it. The first one to be clothed on the Day of Resurrection will be Ibrahim, peace be upon him. Then some men from among my Ummah will be brought and will be taken toward the left. I will say: 'O Lord, my companions.' It will be said: 'You do not know what they innovated after you were gone,' and I shall say what the righteous slave said: 'And I was witness over them while I dwelt amongst them, but when You took me up, You were the Watcher over them, but when You took me up, You were the Watcher over them; and You are a Witness to all things. If You punish them, they are Your slaves, and if You forgive them, verily, You, only You, are the All-Mighty, the All-Wise.' And it will be said: 'These people kept turning away since you left them.'"
Hadith 2173
أَخْبَرَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلَانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، أَنْبَأَنَا سَوَادَةُ بْنُ حَنْظَلَةَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ سَمُرَةَ ، يَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا يَغُرَّنَّكُمْ أَذَانُ بِلَالٍ ، وَلَا هَذَا الْبَيَاضُ ، حَتَّى يَنْفَجِرَ الْفَجْرُ هَكَذَا وَهَكَذَا ، يَعْنِي مُعْتَرِضًا , قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ وَبَسَطَ بِيَدَيْهِ يَمِينًا وَشِمَالًا مَادًّا يَدَيْهِ " .
´Samurah said:` "The Messenger of Allah said; 'DO not be confused by the Adhan of Bilal, or by this whiteness, until dawn appears like this" - meaning horizontally. (One of the narrators) Abu Dawud said: "And he spread out his hands gesturing to the right and left."
Hadith 2282
أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَلَّامٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي بِشْرٍ ، عَنْ هَانِئِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الشِّخِّيرِ ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ بَلْحَرِيشٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : كُنَّا نُسَافِرُ مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ فَأَتَيْنَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ يَطْعَمُ ، فَقَالَ : " هَلُمَّ فَاطْعَمْ " ، فَقُلْتُ : إِنِّي صَائِمٌ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أُحَدِّثُكُمْ عَنِ الصِّيَامِ ، إِنَّ اللَّهَ وَضَعَ عَنِ الْمُسَافِرِ الصَّوْمَ وَشَطْرَ الصَّلَاةِ " .
´It was narrated from Hani bin 'Abdullah bin Ash-Shikhkhir from Balharish, from a man from Balharish, that his father said:` "we had been travelijng for as long as Allah willed, then we came to the Messenger of Allah and he was eating. He said: 'Come and eat.' I said: 'I am fasting.' The Messenger of Allah said: 'I will tell you about fasting. Allah has waived fasting and half of the prayer for the traveler."'
Hadith 2354
أَخْبَرَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلَانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ : أَنْبَأَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ سَالِمَ بْنَ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ ، " أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ لَا يَصُومُ شَهْرَيْنِ مُتَتَابِعَيْنِ إِلَّا شَعْبَانَ وَرَمَضَانَ " .
´It was narrated from Umm Salamah:` That the Messenger of Allah would not fast any two consecutive months except Shaban and Ramadan.
Hadith 2383
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ مُطَرِّفَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الشِّخِّيرِ يُحَدِّثُ , عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ فِي صَوْمِ الدَّهْرِ : " لَا صَامَ وَلَا أَفْطَرَ " .
´Mutarrif bin 'Abdullah bin Ash-Shikhkhir narrated from his father that:` the Messenger of Allah said, concerning one who fasted for the rest of his life: "He neither fasted nor broke his fast." 'Ata said: "someone who heard him told me that Ibn 'Umar (said) that the Prophet said: 'Whoever fasts every day of his life, then he has not fasted."
Hadith 2697
أَخْبَرَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلَانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ : أَنْبَأَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ الْأَسْوَدِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : " كُنْتُ أَنْظُرُ إِلَى وَبِيصِ الطِّيبِ فِي أُصُولِ شَعْرِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ " .
´It was narrated that 'Aishah said:` " I used to see the glistening of the perfume at the roots of the hair of the Messenger of Allah when he was in Ihram.(sahih)
Hadith 2766
أَخْبَرَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَبِيبٌ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ هَرِمٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، وَعِكْرِمَةُ , عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنَّ ضُبَاعَةَ أَرَادَتِ الْحَجَّ ، " فَأَمَرَهَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ تَشْتَرِطَ ، فَفَعَلَتْ عَنْ أَمْرِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " .
´It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas:` That Duba'ah wanted to perform Hajj, so the Prophet Told here to stipulate a condition, and she acted upon the command of the Messenger of Allah.
Hadith 2829
أَخْبَرَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلَانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ : أَنْبَأَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَوْهَبٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، أَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا فِي مَسِيرٍ لَهُمْ بَعْضُهُمْ مُحْرِمٌ وَبَعْضُهُمْ لَيْسَ بِمُحْرِمٍ ، قَالَ : فَرَأَيْتُ حِمَارَ وَحْشٍ فَرَكِبْتُ فَرَسِي وَأَخَذْتُ الرُّمْحَ ، فَاسْتَعَنْتُهُمْ ، فَأَبَوْا أَنْ يُعِينُونِي ، فَاخْتَلَسْتُ سَوْطًا مِنْ بَعْضِهِمْ ، فَشَدَدْتُ عَلَى الْحِمَارِ فَأَصَبْتُهُ ، فَأَكَلُوا مِنْهُ ، فَأَشْفَقُوا ، قَالَ : فَسُئِلَ عَنْ ذَلِكَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : " هَلْ أَشَرْتُمْ أَوْ أَعَنْتُمْ ؟ " قَالُوا : لَا ، قَالَ : " فَكُلُوا " .
´Abdullah bin Abi Qatadah narrated from his father that:` they were on a march, somr of them in Ihram and some not in Ihram. He said: "I saw an onager so I mounted my horse and picked up a spear. I asked them to help me but they refused to help me. I snatched a whip from one of them and chased the onager and caught it. They ate of it but they were scared. The prophet was asked about that and he said: 'Did you pint (at it) or help him?' They said, 'No.' He said: Then eat.'"
Hadith 3263
أَخْبَرَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلَانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْهُ بَعْدَ مَوْتِ نَافِعٍ بِسَنَةٍ وَلَهُ يَوْمَئِذٍ حَلْقَةٌ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ ، عَنْ نَافِعِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " الْأَيِّمُ أَحَقُّ بِنَفْسِهَا مِنْ وَلِيِّهَا ، وَالْيَتِيمَةُ تُسْتَأْمَرُ ، وَإِذْنُهَا صُمَاتُهَا " .
´It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas that the Prophet said:` "A previously married woman has more right to decide about herself (with regard to marriage) than her guardian, and an orphan girl should be consulted, and her permission is her silence."
Hadith 3496
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَعْمَرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، وَإِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ عَدِيٍّ ، قَالَ : جَاءَنِي عُوَيْمِرٌ رَجُلٌ مِنْ بَنِي الْعَجْلَانِ ، فَقَالَ : " أَيْ عَاصِمُ ، أَرَأَيْتُمْ رَجُلًا رَأَى مَعَ امْرَأَتِهِ رَجُلًا أَيَقْتُلُهُ فَتَقْتُلُونَهُ ، أَمْ كَيْفَ يَفْعَلُ يَا عَاصِمُ ؟ سَلْ لِي رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَسَأَلَ عَاصِمٌ عَنْ ذَلِكَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَعَابَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْمَسَائِلَ ، وَكَرِهَهَا ، فَجَاءَهُ عُوَيْمِرٌ ، فَقَالَ : مَا صَنَعْتَ يَا عَاصِمُ ؟ فَقَالَ : صَنَعْتُ أَنَّكَ لَمْ تَأْتِنِي بِخَيْرٍ ، كَرِهَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْمَسَائِلَ وَعَابَهَا ، قَالَ عُوَيْمِرٌ : وَاللَّهِ لَأَسْأَلَنَّ عَنْ ذَلِكَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَانْطَلَقَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَسَأَلَهُ ، فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " قَدْ أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ فِيكَ ، وَفِي صَاحِبَتِكَ ، فَأْتِ بِهَا ، قَالَ سَهْلٌ : وَأَنَا مَعَ النَّاسِ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَجَاءَ بِهَا ، فَتَلَاعَنَا ، فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، وَاللَّهِ لَئِنْ أَمْسَكْتُهَا لَقَدْ كَذَبْتُ عَلَيْهَا ، فَفَارَقَهَا قَبْلَ أَنْ يَأْمُرَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِفِرَاقِهَا ، فَصَارَتْ سُنَّةَ الْمُتَلَاعِنَيْنِ " .
´It was narrated from Sahl bin Sa'd, from 'Asim bin 'Adiyy who said:` "Uwaimir, a man from Banu 'Ajlan, came and said: 'O 'Asim, what do you think if a man sees another man with his wife, should he kill him and be killed in retaliation, or what should he do? O 'Asim, ask the Messenger of Allah about that for me.'" So 'Asim asked the Messenger of Allah about that, and the Messenger of Allah disapproved of the question and criticized the asking of too many questions. Then 'Uwaimir came to him and said: "What happened, O 'Asim?" 'Asim said to 'Uwaimir: "What happened?! You have not brought me any good. The Messenger of Allah disapproved of the question I asked." 'Uwaimir said: "By Allah, I will go and ask the Messenger of Allah." So he went to the Messenger of Allah and asked him. The Messenger of Allah said: "Allah the Mighty and Sublime has revealed (something) concerning you and your wife, so bring her here." Sahl said: "I was among the people in the presence of the Messenger of Allah and he brought her and they engaged in the procedure of Li'an. He said: 'O Messenger of Allah, by Allah! If I keep her I would have been telling lies about her.' So he parted from her before the Messenger of Allah told him to separate from her, and that became the way of Li'an."
Hadith 3539
أَخْبَرَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلَانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ رَبِّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا سَلَمَةَ ، يَقُولُ : اخْتَلَفَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ ، وَابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ فِي الْمُتَوَفَّى عَنْهَا زَوْجُهَا إِذَا وَضَعَتْ حَمْلَهَا ، قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ : تُزَوَّجُ ، وَقَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ : أَبْعَدَ الْأَجَلَيْنِ ، فَبَعَثُوا إِلَى أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ ، فَقَالَتْ : " تُوُفِّيَ زَوْجُ سُبَيْعَةَ ، فَوَلَدَتْ بَعْدَ وَفَاةِ زَوْجِهَا بِخَمْسَةَ عَشَرَ نِصْفِ شَهْرٍ ، قَالَتْ : فَخَطَبَهَا رَجُلَانِ ، فَحَطَّتْ بِنَفْسِهَا إِلَى أَحَدِهِمَا ، فَلَمَّا خَشُوا أَنْ تَفْتَاتَ بِنَفْسِهَا ، قَالُوا : إِنَّكِ لَا تَحِلِّينَ ، قَالَتْ : فَانْطَلَقْتُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ : " قَدْ حَلَلْتِ ، فَانْكِحِي مَنْ شِئْتِ " .
´Abu Salamah said:` "Abu Hurairah and Ibn 'Abbas differed concerning the widow who gives birth after her husband's death. Abu Hurairah said: 'She may be married.' Ibn 'Abbas said: '(She has to wait) for the longer of the two periods.' They sent word to Umm Salamah and she said: 'The husband of Subai'ah died and she gave birth fifteen days -half a month- after her husband died.' She said: 'Two men proposed marriage to her, and she was inclined toward one of them. When they feared that she was becoming single-minded (on this issue, and not consulting her family), they said: It is not permissible for you to marry. She went to the Messenger of Allah and he said: 'It is permissible for you to marry, so marry whomever you want.''"
Hadith 3751
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ طَاوُسًا يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ حُجْرٍ الْمَدَرِيِّ ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " الْعُمْرَى لِلْوَارِثِ " .
´It was narrated from Zaid bin Thabit that the Messenger of Allah said:` "'Umra (a gift given for life) belongs to the heir."
Hadith 3758
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا بِسْطَامُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ دِينَارٍ ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَطَبَهُمْ فَقَالَ : " الْعُمْرَى جَائِزَةٌ " .
´Malik bin Dinar narrated from 'Ata', from Jabir that the Messenger of Allah addressed them one day and said:` "'Umra is permissible."
Hadith 4054
أَخْبَرَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلَانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ : أَنْبَأَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ ، عَنْ جَرِيرٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا أَبَقَ الْعَبْدُ لَمْ تُقْبَلْ لَهُ صَلَاةٌ حَتَّى يَرْجِعَ إِلَى مَوَالِيهِ " .
´It was narrated that Jarir said:` "The Messenger of Allah [SAW] said: 'If a slave runs away, no Salah will be accepted from him until he goes back to his masters.'"
Hadith 4081
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ، عَنْ أَبِي دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا نَصْرٍ يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ أَبِي بَرْزَةَ ، قَالَ : أَتَيْتُ عَلَى أَبِي بَكْرٍ وَقَدْ أَغْلَظَ لِرَجُلٍ فَرَدَّ عَلَيْهِ , فَقُلْتُ : أَلَا أَضْرِبُ عُنُقَهُ . فَانْتَهَرَنِي ، فَقَالَ : " إِنَّهَا لَيْسَتْ لِأَحَدٍ بَعْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " . قَالَ أَبُو عَبْد الرَّحْمَنِ : أَبُو نَصْرٍ حُمَيْدُ بْنُ هِلَالٍ , وَرَوَاهُ عَنْهُ يُونُسُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ , فَأَسْنَدَهُ .
´Abu Nasr narrated from Abu Barzah, that he said:` "I came to Abu Bakr when he had spoken harshly to a man who had answered back. I said: 'Shall I not strike his neck (kill him)?' He rebuked me, and said: 'That is not for anyone after the Messenger of Allah [SAW].'"
Hadith 4084
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبَّادُ بْنُ مَيْسَرَةَ الْمَنْقَرِيُّ ، عَنْ الْحَسَنِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ عَقَدَ عُقْدَةً ثُمَّ نَفَثَ فِيهَا فَقَدْ سَحَرَ ، وَمَنْ سَحَرَ فَقَدْ أَشْرَكَ ، وَمَنْ تَعَلَّقَ شَيْئًا وُكِلَ إِلَيْهِ " .
´It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said:` "The Messenger of Allah [SAW] said: 'Whoever ties a know and blows on it, he has practiced magic; and whoever practices magic, he has committed Shirk; and whoever hangs up something (as an amulet) will be entrusted to it.'"
Hadith 4108
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَعْمَرٍ الْبَصْرِيُّ الْحَرَّانِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنِ الْأَزْرَقِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ ، عَنْ شَرِيكِ بْنِ شِهَابٍ ، قَالَ : كُنْتُ أَتَمَنَّى أَنْ أَلْقَى رَجُلًا مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَسْأَلُهُ عَنِ الْخَوَارِجِ ؟ ، فَلَقِيتُ أَبَا بَرْزَةَ فِي يَوْمِ عِيدٍ فِي نَفَرٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ ، فَقُلْتُ لَهُ : هَلْ سَمِعْتَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَذْكُرُ الْخَوَارِجَ ؟ ، فَقَالَ : نَعَمْ ، سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِأُذُنِي ، وَرَأَيْتُهُ بِعَيْنِي , أُتِيَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِمَالٍ , فَقَسَمَهُ فَأَعْطَى مَنْ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ ، وَمَنْ عَنْ شِمَالِهِ ، وَلَمْ يُعْطِ مَنْ وَرَاءَهُ شَيْئًا , فَقَامَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ وَرَائِهِ ، فَقَالَ : يَا مُحَمَّدُ ، مَا عَدَلْتَ فِي الْقِسْمَةِ ؟ رَجُلٌ أَسْوَدُ مَطْمُومُ الشَّعْرِ عَلَيْهِ ثَوْبَانِ أَبْيَضَانِ ، فَغَضِبَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ غَضَبًا شَدِيدًا ، وَقَالَ : " وَاللَّهِ لَا تَجِدُونَ بَعْدِي رَجُلًا هُوَ أَعْدَلُ مِنِّي " ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : " يَخْرُجُ فِي آخِرِ الزَّمَانِ قَوْمٌ كَأَنَّ هَذَا مِنْهُمْ يَقْرَءُونَ الْقُرْآنَ ، لَا يُجَاوِزُ تَرَاقِيَهُمْ يَمْرُقُونَ مِنَ الْإِسْلَامِ كَمَا يَمْرُقُ السَّهْمُ مِنَ الرَّمِيَّةِ ، سِيمَاهُمُ التَّحْلِيقُ , لَا يَزَالُونَ يَخْرُجُونَ حَتَّى يَخْرُجَ آخِرُهُمْ مَعَ الْمَسِيحِ الدَّجَّالِ , فَإِذَا لَقِيتُمُوهُمْ فَاقْتُلُوهُمْ هُمْ شَرُّ الْخَلْقِ وَالْخَلِيقَةِ " . قَالَ أَبُو عَبْد الرَّحْمَنِ رَحِمَهُ اللَّهُ : شَرِيكُ بْنُ شِهَابٍ لَيْسَ بِذَلِكَ الْمَشْهُورِ .
´it was narrated that Sharik bin Shihab said:` "I used to wish that I could meet a man among the Companions of the Prophet [SAW] and ask him about the Khawarij. Then I met Abu Barzah on the day of 'Id, with a number of his companions. I said to him: 'Did you hear the Messenger of Allah [SAW] mention the Khawarij?' He said: 'Yes. I heard the Messenger of Allah [SAW] with my own ears, and saw him with my own eyes. Some wealth was brought to the Messenger of Allah [SAW] and he distributed it to those on his right and on his left, but he did not give anything to those who were behind him. Then a man stood behind him and said: "O Muhammad! You have not been just in your division!" He was a man with black patchy (shaved) hair, wearing two white garments. So Allah's Messenger [SAW] became very angry and said: "By Allah! You will not find a man after me who is more just than me." Then he said: "A people will come at the end of time; as if he is one of them, reciting the Qur'an without it passing beyond their throats. They will go through Islam just as the arrow goes through the target. Their distinction will be shaving. They will not cease to appear until the last of them comes with Al-Masih Ad-Dajjal. So when you meet them, then kill them, they are the worst of created beings."
Hadith 4114
أَخْبَرَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلَانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ لِحَمَّادٍ , سَمِعْتُ مَنْصُورًا ، وَسُلَيْمَانَ ، وَزُبَيْدًا يُحَدِّثُونَ ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " سِبَابُ الْمُسْلِمِ فُسُوقٌ , وَقِتَالُهُ كُفْرٌ " . مَنْ تَتَّهِمُ ؟ أَتَتَّهِمُ مَنْصُورًا ؟ أَتَتَّهِمُ زُبَيْدًا ؟ أَتَتَّهِمُ سُلَيْمَانَ ؟ ، قَالَ : لَا , وَلَكِنِّي أَتَّهِمُ أَبَا وَائِلٍ .
´It was narrated from Shu'bah who said:` "I said to Hammad: 'I heard Mansur, and Sulaiman, and Zubaid narrating from Abu Wa'il, from 'Abdullah, that the Messenger of Allah [SAW] said: "Defaming a Muslim is evildoing and fighting him is Kufr." - Who are you worried about? Are you worried about Mansur? Are you worried about Zubaid? Are you worried about Sulaiman?' He said: 'No, but I am worried about Abu Wa'il.'"

أَخْبَرَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلَانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي مَنْصُورٌ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رِبْعِيًّا يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا أَشَارَ الْمُسْلِمُ عَلَى أَخِيهِ الْمُسْلِمِ بِالسِّلَاحِ , فَهُمَا عَلَى جُرُفِ جَهَنَّمَ ، فَإِذَا قَتَلَهُ خَرَّا جَمِيعًا فِيهَا " .
´It was narrated that Abu Bakrah said:` "The Messenger of Allah [SAW] said: 'If a Muslim points a weapon at his fellow Muslim, then they are on the brink of Hell, and if he kills him, then they will both fall into it.'"
Hadith 4228
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثْتُ أَبَا إِسْحَاق ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ ، وَسُفْيَانَ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ أَحَدُهُمَا : " نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الْفَرَعِ وَالْعَتِيرَةِ " . وَقَالَ الْآخَرُ : " لَا فَرَعَ وَلَا عَتِيرَةَ " .
´It was narrated that Abu Hurairah that:` the Messenger of Allah forbade Fara' and 'Atirah."
Hadith 4278
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي السَّفَرِ ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ ، وَعَنِ الْحَكَمِ , عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ ، وَعَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ مَسْرُوقٍ , عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ حَاتِمٍ ، قَالَ : سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قُلْتُ : أُرْسِلُ كَلْبِي فَأَجِدُ مَعَ كَلْبِي كَلْبًا آخَرَ لَا أَدْرِي أَيَّهُمَا أَخَذَ ؟ ، قَالَ : " لَا تَأْكُلْ ، فَإِنَّمَا سَمَّيْتَ عَلَى كَلْبِكَ ، وَلَمْ تُسَمِّ عَلَى غَيْرِهِ " .
´It was narrated that 'Adiyy bin Hatim said:` "I asked the Messenger of Allah: 'I release my dog, and I find another dog with mine, and I do not know which mine, and I do not know which of them caught (the game).' He said: 'do not eat it, for you said the name of Allah over your dog, but not over any other.""
Hadith 4375
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، وَأَبُو دَاوُدَ , وَيَحْيَى ، وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، وَابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ ، وَأَبُو الْوَلِيدِ ، قَالُوا : أَنْبَأَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ عُبَيْدَ بْنَ فَيْرُوزَ ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ لِلْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ : حَدِّثْنِي مَا كَرِهَ ، أَوْ نَهَى عَنْهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنَ الْأَضَاحِيِّ ، قَالَ : فَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : هَكَذَا بِيَدِهِ ، وَيَدِي أَقْصَرُ مِنْ يَدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَرْبَعَةٌ لَا يَجْزِينَ فِي الْأَضَاحِيِّ : الْعَوْرَاءُ الْبَيِّنُ عَوَرُهَا ، وَالْمَرِيضَةُ الْبَيِّنُ مَرَضُهَا ، وَالْعَرْجَاءُ الْبَيِّنُ ظَلْعُهَا ، وَالْكَسِيرَةُ الَّتِي لَا تُنْقِي " . قَالَ : فَإِنِّي أَكْرَهُ أَنْ يَكُونَ نَقْصٌ فِي الْقَرْنِ ، وَالْأُذُنِ ، قَالَ : فَمَا كَرِهْتَ مِنْهُ فَدَعْهُ ، وَلَا تُحَرِّمْهُ عَلَى أَحَدٍ .
´'Ubaid bin Fairuz said:` "I said to Al-Bara bin Azib: 'Tell me of the sacrificial animals that the Messenger of Allah dislike or forbade. He said: "The Messenger of Allah gestured like this with his hand, and my hands are shorter than the hand of the Messenger of Allah, (and he said). 'There are four that will not do as sacrifices: The animal that clearly has one bad eye: the sick animals that is obviously sick; the lame animal with an obvious lamp; and the animal that is so emaciated that it is as if there is no marrow in its bones: He said: "And I dislike that the animal should have some fault in its horns or ears." He said: "What you dislike, forget about it, and do not make it forbidden to anyone."
Hadith 4619
أَخْبَرَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلَانَ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ , قَالَ : أَنْبَأَنَا شُعْبَةُ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي الْمُجَالِدِ , وَقَالَ مَرَّةً : عَبْدُ اللَّهِ , وَقَالَ مَرَّةً : مُحَمَّدٌ , قَالَ : تَمَارَى أَبُو بُرْدَةَ , وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ شَدَّادٍ فِي السَّلَمِ , فَأَرْسَلُونِي إِلَى ابْنِ أَبِي أَوْفَى فَسَأَلْتُهُ , فَقَالَ : " كُنَّا نُسْلِمُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , وَعَلَى عَهْدِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ , وَعَلَى عَهْدِ عُمَرَ فِي الْبُرِّ , وَالشَّعِيرِ , وَالزَّبِيبِ , وَالتَّمْرِ إِلَى قَوْمٍ مَا نُرَى عِنْدَهُمْ " , وَسَأَلْتُ ابْنَ أَبْزَى , فَقَالَ : مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ .
´Ibn Abi Al-Mujalid-on one occasion he (the narrator) said 'Abdullah, and on another occasion he said Muhammad - said:` "Abu Burdah and 'Abdullah bin Shaddad argued about payment in advance. They sent me to Ibn Abi Awfa and I asked him (about that). He said: 'We used to pay in advance during the time of the Messenger of Allah and Abu Bakr and 'Umar, for wheat, barley, raisins and dates, paying people whom we did not see it with them." And I asked Ibn Abza and he said something similar to that.
Hadith 4740
أَخْبَرَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلَانَ هُوَ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ الْحَسَنِ ، عَنْ سَمُرَةَ : أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " مَنْ قَتَلَ عَبْدَهُ قَتَلْنَاهُ ، وَمَنْ جَدَعَهُ جَدَعْنَاهُ ، وَمَنْ أَخْصَاهُ أَخْصَيْنَاهُ " .
´It was narrated from Samurah that the Messenger of Allah said:` "Whoever kills his slave, we will kill him: whoever mutilates (his slave). We will mutilate him, and whoever castrates (his slave), we will castrate him."
Hadith 4830
أَخْبَرَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلَانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ نُضَيْلَةَ ، عَنْ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ : أَنَّ رَجُلًا مِنْ هُذَيْلٍ كَانَ لَهُ امْرَأَتَانِ , فَرَمَتْ إِحْدَاهُمَا الْأُخْرَى بِعَمُودِ الْفُسْطَاطِ فَأَسْقَطَتْ ، فَقِيلَ : أَرَأَيْتَ مَنْ لَا أَكَلْ وَلَا شَرِبَ وَلَا صَاحَ فَاسْتَهَلَّ ؟ فَقَالَ : " أَسَجْعٌ كَسَجْعِ الْأَعْرَابِ ؟ " ، فَقَضَى فِيهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " بِغُرَّةٍ عَبْدٍ أَوْ أَمَةٍ , وَجُعِلَتْ عَلَى عَاقِلَةِ الْمَرْأَةِ " . أَرْسَلَهُ الْأَعْمَشُ .
´It was narrated form Al-Mughirahbin shu'bah that:` a man of Hudhail had two wives, and one of them threw a tent pole at the o0ther and caused her to miscarry. It was said: "What do you think of one who neither ate nor drank, or shouted nor cried (at the moment of birth)?" he said: (Rhyming verse like the verse of the Bedouins. "And the Messenger of Allah ruled that a make or female slave shouted be given (as dihahj) for him (the unborn child), to be paid but the'Aqila h of the woman.
Hadith 4839
أَخْبَرَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلَانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ : أَنْبَأَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ أَشْعَثَ بْنِ أَبِي الشَّعْثَاءِ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ الْأَسْوَدَ بْنَ هِلَالٍ يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ بَنِي ثَعْلَبَةَ بْنِ يَرْبُوعٍ : أَنَّ نَاسًا مِنْ بَنِي ثَعْلَبَةَ أَتَوْا النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، هَؤُلَاءِ بَنُو ثَعْلَبَةَ بْنِ يَرْبُوعٍ قَتَلُوا فُلَانًا , رَجُلًا مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا تَجْنِي نَفْسٌ عَلَى أُخْرَى " .
´It was narrated that Ash'ath bin Abi Ash-Sha'tha, said:` "I heard Al-Aswad bin Hilal narrate from a man of Banu Tha'labah bin Yarbu' that some people from Banu Tah'labah came to the Prophet and a man said: "O Messenger of Allah, these are Banu Tha'labah bin Yarbu'who killed so and so' - a man from among the companions of the Prophet. The Prophet said: 'No soul is affected by the sin of another
Hadith 4917
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ، عَنْ أَبِي دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَنَسًا ، يَقُولُ : " سَرَقَ رَجُلٌ مِجَنًّا عَلَى عَهْدِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ ، فَقُوِّمَ خَمْسَةَ دَرَاهِمَ ، فَقُطِعَ " .
´It was narrated that Qatadah said:` "I heard Anas say: 'A man stole a shield during the time of Abu Bakr, the value of which was five Dirhams, and he cut off his hand."'
