Hadith 635
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْجَرَّاحِ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ . ح وحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ يَحْيَى بْنُ خَلَفٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاق . ح وحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُسْهِرٍ ، عَنْ الشَّيْبَانِيِّ جَمِيعًا ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْأَسْوَدِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : " كَانَتْ إِحْدَانَا إِذَا كَانَتْ حَائِضًا ، أَمَرَهَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ تَأْتَزِرَ فِي فَوْرِ حَيْضَتِهَا ، ثُمَّ يُبَاشِرُهَا ، وَأَيُّكُمْ يَمْلِكُ إِرْبَهُ كَمَا كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَمْلِكُ إِرْبَهُ " .
´It was narrated that 'Aishah said:` "If one of us was menstruating, the Messenger of Allah would tell her to tie her waist-wrapper around herself if the bleeding was heavy, then he would embrace her. And who among you can control his desire as the Messenger of Allah used to control his desire?"
Hadith 653
حَدَّثَنَا سَهْلُ بْنُ أَبِي سَهْلٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا الشَّيْبَانِيُّ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ شَدَّادٍ ، عَنْ مَيْمُونَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " صَلَّى وَعَلَيْهِ مِرْطٌ عَلَيْهِ بَعْضُهُ وَعَلَيْهَا بَعْضُهُ وَهِيَ حَائِضٌ " .
´It was narrated from Maimunah that:` The Messenger of Allah performed prayer wearing a wool cloak. Part of it was over him and part was over her, and she was menstruating.
Hadith 958
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبَّادُ بْنُ الْعَوَّامِ ، عَنْ الشَّيْبَانِيِّ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ شَدَّادٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَتْنِي مَيْمُونَةُ زَوْجُ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَتْ : " كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي وَأَنَا بِحِذَائِهِ ، وَرُبَّمَا أَصَابَنِي ثَوْبُهُ إِذَا سَجَدَ " .
´Maimunah, the wife of the Prophet (ﷺ), said:` “The Prophet (ﷺ) used to perform prayer when I was opposite to him, and his garment would sometimes touch me when he prostrated.”
Hadith 1028
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبَّادُ بْنُ الْعَوَّامِ ، عَنْ الشَّيْبَانِيِّ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ شَدَّادٍ ، حَدَّثَتْنِي مَيْمُونَةُ زَوْجُ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَتْ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " يُصَلِّي عَلَى الْخُمْرَةِ " .
´Maimunah the wife of the Prophet (ﷺ) said:` “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to perform prayer on a Khumrah.”
Hadith 1530
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاق الشَّيْبَانِيِّ ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : مَاتَ رَجُلٌ وَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَعُودُهُ ، فَدَفَنُوهُ بِاللَّيْلِ ، فَلَمَّا أَصْبَحَ أَعْلَمُوهُ ، فَقَالَ : " مَا مَنَعَكُمْ أَنْ تُعْلِمُونِي " ، قَالُوا : كَانَ اللَّيْلُ ، وَكَانَتِ الظُّلْمَةُ فَكَرِهْنَا أَنْ نَشُقَّ عَلَيْكَ ، فَأَتَى قَبْرَهُ فَصَلَّى عَلَيْهِ " .
´It was narrated that Ibn ‘Abbas said:` “A man died whom the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to visit, and they buried him at night. When morning came, they told him. He said: ‘What kept you from telling me?’ They said: ‘It was night and it was dark, and we did not like to cause you any inconvenience.’ Then he went to the grave and offered the funeral prayer for him.”
Hadith 2312
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سِنَانَ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بِلَالٍ ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ الْقَطَّانِ ، عَنْ حُسَيْنٍ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عِمْرَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاق الشَّيْبَانِيِّ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي أَوْفَى ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ مَعَ الْقَاضِي مَا لَمْ يَجُرْ فَإِذَا جَارَ وَكَّلَهُ إِلَى نَفْسِهِ " .
´It was narrated from 'Abdullah bin Abu Awfa that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` “Allah is with the judge so long as he is not unjust, but if he rules unjustly, He entrusts him to himself.”
Hadith 2904
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى الصَّنْعَانِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَنْبَأَنَا سُفْيَانُ الثَّوْرِيُّ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ الشَّيْبَانِيِّ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ الْأَصَمِّ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : أَحُجُّ عَنْ أَبِي ؟ ، قَالَ : " نَعَمْ حُجَّ عَنْ أَبِيكَ ، فَإِنْ لَمْ تَزِدْهُ خَيْرًا لَمْ تَزِدْهُ شَرًّا " .
´It was narrated that Ibn ‘Abbas said:` “A man came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and said: ‘Shall I perform Hajj on behalf of my father?’ He said: ‘Yes, perform Hajj on behalf of your father, for if you cannot add any good to his record (at least) you will not add anything bad.’”
Hadith 3116
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْمُحَارِبِيُّ ، عَنْ الشَّيْبَانِيِّ ، عَنْ وَاصِلٍ الْأَحْدَبِ ، عَنْ شَقِيقٍ ، قَالَ : " بَعَثَ رَجُلٌ مَعِيَ بِدَرَاهِمَ هَدِيَّةً إِلَى الْبَيْتِ ، قَالَ : فَدَخَلْتُ الْبَيْتَ وَشَيْبَةُ جَالِسٌ عَلَى كُرْسِيٍّ ، فَنَاوَلْتُهُ إِيَّاهَا ، فَقَالَ لَهُ : أَلَكَ هَذِهِ ؟ ، قُلْتُ : لَا ، وَلَوْ كَانَتْ لِي ، لَمْ آتِكَ بِهَا ، قَالَ : أَمَا لَئِنْ قُلْتَ ذَلِكَ ، لَقَدْ جَلَسَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ مَجْلِسَكَ الَّذِي جَلَسْتَ فِيهِ ، فَقَالَ : لَا أَخْرُجُ حَتَّى أَقْسِمَ مَالَ الْكَعْبَةِ بَيْنَ فُقَرَاءِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ ، قُلْتُ : مَا أَنْتَ فَاعِلٌ ؟ ، قَالَ : لَأَفْعَلَنَّ ، قَالَ : وَلِمَ ذَاكَ ؟ ، قُلْتُ : لِأَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَدْ رَأَى مَكَانَهُ وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ وَهُمَا أَحْوَجُ مِنْكَ إِلَى الْمَالِ فَلَمْ يُحَرِّكَاهُ ، فَقَامَ كَمَا هُوَ فَخَرَجَ " .
´It was narrated that Shaqiq said:` “A man sent some Dirham through me to the House.” He said: “I entered the House and Shaibah was sitting on a chair. I handed it (the money) to him and he said: ‘Is this yours?’ I said: ‘No, if it were mine I would not have given it to you.’ He said: ‘Since you say that, ‘Umar was sitting in the place where you are sitting now and said: “I will not go out until I distribute the wealth of the poor Muslims.” I said: “You will not do that.” He said: “I will certainly do that.” He said: “Why is that?” I said: “Because, the Prophet (ﷺ) and Abu Bakr saw where it was, and they had more need of the money than you do. But, they did not move it. Then, he stood up just as he was and went out.”
Hadith 3192
حَدَّثَنَا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُسْهِرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاق الشَّيْبَانِيِّ ، قَالَ : سَأَلْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ أَبِي أَوْفَى عَنْ لُحُومِ الْحُمُرِ الْأَهْلِيَّةِ ، فَقَالَ : " أَصَابَتْنَا مَجَاعَةٌ يَوْمَ خَيْبَرَ ، وَنَحْنُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَقَدْ أَصَابَ الْقَوْمُ حُمُرًا خَارِجًا مِنْ الْمَدِينَةِ فَنَحَرْنَاهَا ، وَإِنَّ قُدُورَنَا لَتَغْلِي ، إِذْ نَادَى مُنَادِي النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : أَنِ اكْفَئُوا الْقُدُورَ ، وَلَا تَطْعَمُوا مِنْ لُحُومِ الْحُمُرِ شَيْئًا ، فَأَكْفَأْنَاهَا ، فَقُلْتُ لِعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي أَوْفَى : حَرَّمَهَا تَحْرِيمًا ، قَالَ : تَحَدَّثْنَا أَنَّمَا حَرَّمَهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْبَتَّةَ مِنْ أَجْلِ ، أَنَّهَا تَأْكُلُ الْعَذِرَةَ " .
´It was narrated that Abu Ishaq Shaibani said:` “I asked ‘Abdullah bin Abu Awfa about the flesh of domesticated donkeys and he said: ‘We were starving on the Day of Khaibar, when we were with the Prophet (ﷺ). The people had gotten some donkeys as spoils of war on the way out from Al-Madinah, so we slaughtered them and our cooking pots were boiling when the caller of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) cried out, telling us to overturn out pots and not to eat anything of the flesh of donkeys. So we overturned them.’ I said to ‘Abdullah bin Abu Awfa: ‘Was it made unlawful?’ He said: ‘We think that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) forbade it altogether because it eats excrement.’”
Hadith 3589
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ , حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُسْهِرٍ , عَنْ الشَّيْبَانِيِّ , عَنْ أَشْعَثَ بْنِ أَبِي الشَّعْثَاءِ , عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ , عَنْ الْبَرَاءِ , قَالَ : نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " عَنِ الدِّيبَاجِ ، وَالْحَرِيرِ ، وَالْإِسْتَبْرَقِ " .
´It was narrated that Bara’ bin ‘Azib said:` “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) forbade brocade, silk, and embroidered brocade.”
Hadith 3613
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ , حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ , عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ . ح وحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ , حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُسْهِرٍ , عَنْ الشَّيْبَانِيِّ . ح حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ , حَدَّثَنَا غُنْدَرٌ , عَنْ شُعْبَةَ كُلُّهُمْ , عَنْ الْحَكَمِ , عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى , عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُكَيْمٍ , قَالَ : أَتَانَا كِتَابُ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَنْ لَا تَنْتَفِعُوا مِنَ الْمَيْتَةِ بِإِهَابٍ , وَلَا عَصَبٍ " .
´It was narrated that ‘Abdullah bin ‘Ukaym said:` “There came to us a letter from the Prophet (ﷺ) (saying): ‘No not make use of the untanned skin and sinew of dead animals.’”
