Hadith 244
حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيل بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ إِيَاسٍ الْجُرَيْرِيُّ ، عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ عَبَايَةَ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُغَفَّلٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعَنِي أَبِي وَأَنَا فِي الصَّلَاةِ أَقُولُ : بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ سورة الفاتحة آية 1 ، فقال لِي : أَيْ بُنَيَّ مُحْدَثٌ ، إِيَّاكَ وَالْحَدَثَ ، قَالَ : " وَلَمْ أَرَ أَحَدًا مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ أَبْغَضَ إِلَيْهِ الْحَدَثُ فِي الْإِسْلَامِ يَعْنِي مِنْهُ ، قَالَ : وَقَدْ صَلَّيْتُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَمَعَ أَبِي بَكْرٍ وَمَعَ عُمَرَ وَمَعَ عُثْمَانَ ، فَلَمْ أَسْمَعْ أَحَدًا مِنْهُمْ يَقُولُهَا فَلَا تَقُلْهَا ، إِذَا أَنْتَ صَلَّيْتَ " فَقُلْ : الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ سورة الفاتحة آية 2 . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : حَدِيثُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُغَفَّلٍ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ ، وَالْعَمَلُ عَلَيْهِ عِنْدَ أَكْثَرِ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، مِنْهُمْ أَبُو بَكْرٍ ، وَعُمَرُ ، وَعُثْمَانُ ، وَعَلِيٌّ وَغَيْرُهُمْ وَمَنْ بَعْدَهُمْ مِنَ التَّابِعِينَ ، وَبِهِ يَقُولُ : سُفْيَانُ الثَّوْرِيُّ ، وَابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ ، وَأَحْمَدُ ، وَإِسْحَاق ، لَا يَرَوْنَ أَنْ يَجْهَرَ بِ : بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ سورة الفاتحة آية 1 ، قَالُوا : وَيَقُولُهَا فِي نَفْسِهِ .
´Ibn Abdullah bin Mughaffal narrated:` "While I was praying, I said: Bismillahir-Rahmanir-Rahim "In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Beneficent." My father heard me and said: "O my son this is a newly invented matter, beware of the newly-invented.'" He (Ibn Abdullah) said: "I have not seen any one of the Companions of Allah's Messenger who hated a newly invented matter in Islam more than him. And he said: 'Ihave performed Salat with the Prophet, and with Abu Bakr, and Umar, and with Uthman. I did not hear any one of them saying it. So do not say it. When you are performing Salat say: Al-Hamdu lilahi Rabbil-Alamin "All praise is due to Allah the Lord of all that exists.'"
Hadith 713
حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الْجُرَيْرِيُّ ح . قَالَ : وحَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ وَكِيعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى، عَنْ الْجُرَيْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ : " كُنَّا نُسَافِرُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَمِنَّا الصَّائِمُ وَمِنَّا الْمُفْطِرُ فَلَا يَجِدُ الْمُفْطِرُ عَلَى الصَّائِمِ ، وَلَا الصَّائِمُ عَلَى الْمُفْطِرِ ، فَكَانُوا يَرَوْنَ أَنَّهُ مَنْ وَجَدَ قُوَّةً فَصَامَ فَحَسَنٌ ، وَمَنْ وَجَدَ ضَعْفًا فَأَفْطَرَ فَحَسَنٌ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .
´Abu Sa'eed Al-Khudri narrated:` "We were on a journey with the Messenger of Allah. Some of us were fasting and some of us broke their fast. The one who broke their fast had no objection to the one who fasted, and the one who fasted had no objection to the one who broke his fast. They saw that whoever had the strength to fast then that was good, and whoever was weak, then breaking it was better."
Hadith 1901
حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدُ بنُ مَسْعَدَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْمُفَضَّلِ، حَدَّثَنَا الْجُرَيْرِيُّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَلَا أُحَدِّثُكُمْ بِأَكْبَرِ الْكَبَائِرِ ؟ " قَالُوا : بَلَى يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : " الْإِشْرَاكُ بِاللَّهِ ، وَعُقُوقُ الْوَالِدَيْنِ " ، قَالَ : وَجَلَسَ وَكَانَ مُتَّكِئًا ، فَقَالَ : " وَشَهَادَةُ الزُّورِ ، أَوْ قَوْلُ الزُّورِ " ، فَمَا زَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُهَا حَتَّى قُلْنَا لَيْتَهُ سَكَتَ ، قَالَ : وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ ، وَأَبُو بَكْرَةَ اسْمُهُ نُفَيْعُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ .
´'Abdur-Rahman bin Abi Bakrah narrated from his father who said:` " The messenger of Allah said: 'Shall I not tell you of the biggest of the major sins?' they said : 'Of course! O Messenger of Allah!' He said: 'To join partners with Allah, and disobeying one's parents.'"He said : " He sat up, and he had been reclining. He said: 'And false testimony, or false speech.' And the Messenger of Allah would not stop saying it until we said (to ourselves): 'I wish that he would stop.'"
Hadith 2058
حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ يُونُسَ الْكُوفِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ الْمُزَنِيُّ، عَنِ الْجُرَيْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ : " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَتَعَوَّذُ مِنَ الْجَانِّ وَعَيْنِ الْإِنْسَانِ حَتَّى نَزَلَتِ الْمُعَوِّذَتَانِ ، فَلَمَّا نَزَلَتَا أَخَذَ بِهِمَا وَتَرَكَ مَا سِوَاهُمَا " ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ أَنَسٍ وَهَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ .
´Abu Sa'eed narrated:` "The Messenger of Allah(S.A.W) would seek refuge from the jinn and the (evil) eye of humans, until Al-Mu'awwidhatain were revealed. So when they were revealed he used them and left other than them."
Hadith 2246
حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ وَكِيعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى، عَنْ الْجُرَيْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ : " صَحِبَنِي ابْنُ صَائِدٍ إِمَّا حُجَّاجًا ، وَإِمَّا مُعْتَمِرِينَ ، فَانْطَلَقَ النَّاسُ وَتُرِكْتُ أَنَا وَهُوَ ، فَلَمَّا خَلَصْتُ بِهِ اقْشَعْرَرْتُ مِنْهُ وَاسْتَوْحَشْتُ مِنْهُ مِمَّا يَقُولُ النَّاسُ فِيهِ ، فَلَمَّا نَزَلْتُ ، قُلْتُ لَهُ : ضَعْ مَتَاعَكَ حَيْثُ تِلْكَ الشَّجَرَةِ ، قَالَ : فَأَبْصَرَ غَنَمًا فَأَخَذَ الْقَدَحَ فَانْطَلَقَ ، فَاسْتَحْلَبَ ثُمَّ أَتَانِي بِلَبَنٍ ، فَقَالَ لِي : يَا أَبَا سَعِيدٍ ، اشْرَبْ ، فَكَرِهْتُ أَنْ أَشْرَبَ مِنْ يَدِهِ شَيْئًا لِمَا يَقُولُ النَّاسُ فِيهِ ، فَقُلْتُ لَهُ : هَذَا الْيَوْمُ يَوْمٌ صَائِفٌ ، وَإِنِّي أَكْرَهُ فِيهِ اللَّبَنَ ، قَالَ لِي : يَا أَبَا سَعِيدٍ ، هَمَمْتُ أَنْ آخُذَ حَبْلًا فَأُوثِقَهُ إِلَى شَجَرَةٍ ثُمَّ أَخْتَنِقَ لِمَا يَقُولُ النَّاسُ لِي ، وَفِيَّ أَرَأَيْتَ مَنْ خَفِيَ عَلَيْهِ حَدِيثِي فَلَنْ يَخْفَى عَلَيْكُمْ ، أَلَسْتُمْ أَعْلَمَ النَّاسِ بِحَدِيثِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَا مَعْشَرَ الْأَنْصَارِ ، أَلَمْ يَقُلْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّهُ كَافِرٌ وَأَنَا مُسْلِمٌ ، أَلَمْ يَقُلْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّهُ عَقِيمٌ لَا يُولَدُ لَهُ وَقَدْ خَلَّفْتُ وَلَدِي بِالْمَدِينَةِ ، أَلَمْ يَقُلْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا يَدْخُلُ أَوْ لَا تَحِلُّ لَهُ مَكَّةُ وَالْمَدِينَةُ ، أَلَسْتُ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ وَهُوَ ذَا أَنْطَلِقُ مَعَكَ إِلَى مَكَّةَ ، فَوَاللَّهِ مَا زَالَ يَجِيءُ بِهَذَا حَتَّى قُلْتُ فَلَعَلَّهُ مَكْذُوبٌ عَلَيْهِ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : يَا أَبَا سَعِيدٍ ، وَاللَّهِ لَأُخْبِرَنَّكَ خَبَرًا حَقًّا ، وَاللَّهِ إِنِّي لَأَعْرِفُهُ وَأَعْرِفُ وَالِدَهُ وَأَعْرِفُ أَيْنَ هُوَ السَّاعَةَ مِنَ الْأَرْضِ ، فَقُلْتُ : تَبًّا لَكَ سَائِرَ الْيَوْمِ " ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .
´Abu Sa'eed said:` "I was accompanied by Ibn Sa'eed- either performing Hajj or 'Umrah - the people departed, and he and I were left. When I was alone with him I trembled and felt frightened of him because of what the people were saying about him. When I halted I said to him: 'Put your belongings near that tree.'" "he saw a sheep, took out a cup, and went to milk, it. Then he came to me with some milk and said to me: 'Drink Abu Sa'eed!' But I loathed drinking anything from his hand because of what the people were saying about him. So I said to him: 'It is very hot today, and I would not like to drink milk.' So he said to me: 'O Abu Sa'eed, I think I should take a rope, tie it to the tree, then hang myself because of what the people are saying about me. You see those who may be unaware of some narrations, while you are not unaware of them. You people are the most knowledgeable among the people of the Ahadith of the Messenger of Allah, O people of the Ansar! Did the Messenger of Allah not say: "He is a disbeliever" while I am a Muslim? Did the Messenger of Allah not said: "He is sterile, having no children" while I have left my children behind in Al-Madinah? Did the Messenger of Allah not say: "[He will not enter or] Makkah [and Al-Madinah] are not lawful for him" and am I not from the inhabitants of Al-Madinah, and who is the one who accompanied you to Makkah?'" "By Allah, he continued talking like this until I said: 'Perhaps he has been falsely accused' then he said: 'O Abu Sa'eed! By Allah, I can inform you of some information that is true, by Allah! Verily, I know him, I know his father, [and I know] where he is at this time in the land.' So I said: 'May the rest of your day be but grief.'"
Hadith 2247
حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ وَكِيعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى، عَنِ الْجُرَيْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ : لَقِيَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ابْنَ صَائِدٍ فِي بَعْضِ طُرُقِ الْمَدِينَةِ فَاحْتَبَسَهُ ، وَهُوَ غُلَامٌ يَهُودِيٌّ وَلَهُ ذُؤَابَةٌ وَمَعَهُ أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ ، فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَتَشْهَدُ أَنِّي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ؟ فَقَالَ : أَتَشْهَدُ أَنْتَ أَنِّي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ؟ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : آمَنْتُ بِاللَّهِ وَمَلَائِكَتِهِ وَكُتُبِهِ وَرُسُلِهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ ، قَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : مَا تَرَى ؟ قَالَ : أَرَى عَرْشًا فَوْقَ الْمَاءِ ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : تَرَى عَرْشَ إِبْلِيسَ فَوْقَ الْبَحْرِ ، قَالَ : فَمَا تَرَى ؟ قَالَ : أَرَى صَادِقًا وَكَاذِبِينَ ، أَوْ صَادِقِينَ وَكَاذِبًا ، قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : لُبِسَ عَلَيْهِ فَدَعَاهُ " ، قَالَ : وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ عُمَرَ ، وَحُسَيْنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ ، وَابْنِ عُمَرَ ، وَأَبِي ذَرٍّ ، وَابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ ، وَجَابِرٍ ، وَحَفْصَةَ ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ .
´It was narrated that Abu Sa'eed said:` "The Messenger of Allah(s.a.w) met Ibn Sa'eed on one of the streets of Al-Madinah, so he stopped him- and he was a Jewish boy with locks- and Abu Bakr and 'Umar were with him. So the Messenger of Allah(s.a.w) said to him: 'Do you testify that I am the Messenger of Allah?' So he replied: 'Do you testify that I am Allah's Messenger?' So the Prophet(s.a.w) said: 'I believe in Allah, His Angels, His Books, His Messengers, and the Last Day.'Then the Prophet(s.a.w) said to him: 'What do you see?' He said: 'I see a throne above the water.' So the Prophet(s.a.w) said: 'He sees the throne of Iblis above the sea.' He said: 'What else do you see?' He said: 'I see a truthful one,and two liars- or two truthful ones and a liar.' So the Prophet (s.a.w)said:"He has been confounded. So leave him.'"
Hadith 2266
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْأَشْقَرُ، حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، وَهَاشِمُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا صَالِحٌ الْمُرِّيُّ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْجُرَيْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ النَّهْدِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا كَانَ أُمَرَاؤُكُمْ خِيَارَكُمْ وَأَغْنِيَاؤُكُمْ سُمَحَاءَكُمْ وَأُمُورُكُمْ شُورَى بَيْنَكُمْ فَظَهْرُ الْأَرْضِ خَيْرٌ لَكُمْ مِنْ بَطْنِهَا ، وَإِذَا كَانَ أُمَرَاؤُكُمْ شِرَارَكُمْ وَأَغْنِيَاؤُكُمْ بُخَلَاءَكُمْ وَأُمُورُكُمْ إِلَى نِسَائِكُمْ فَبَطْنُ الْأَرْضِ خَيْرٌ لَكُمْ مِنْ ظَهْرِهَا " ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ ، لَا نَعْرِفُهُ إِلَّا مِنْ حَدِيثِ صَالِحٍ الْمُرِّيِّ ، وَصَالِحٌ الْمُرِّيُّ فِي حَدِيثِهِ غَرَائِبُ يَنْفَرِدُ بِهَا لَا يُتَابَعُ عَلَيْهَا ، وَهُوَ رَجُلٌ صَالِحٌ .
´Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah(s.a.w) said:` "When your leaders are the best of you, the richest are the most generous among you, and your affairs are consulted among you, then the surface of the earth is better for you than its belly. And when your leaders are the worst of you, the richest are the stingiest among you, and your affairs are referred to your women, then the belly of the earth is better for you than its surface."
Hadith 2301
حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدُ بْنُ مَسْعَدَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْمُفَضَّلِ، عَنِ الْجُرَيْرِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " أَلَا أُخْبِرُكُمْ بِأَكْبَرِ الْكَبَائِرِ ؟ " قَالُوا : بَلَى يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : " الْإِشْرَاكُ بِاللَّهِ ، وَعُقُوقُ الْوَالِدَيْنِ ، وَشَهَادَةُ الزُّورِ ، أَوْ قَوْلُ الزُّورِ " ، قَالَ : فَمَا زَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُهَا حَتَّى قُلْنَا لَيْتَهُ سَكَتَ ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ ، وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو .
´'Abdur-Rahman bin Abi Bakrah narrated from his father that the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said:` "Shall I not inform you of the greatest of the major sins?" They said: "Of course O Messenger of Allah(s.a.w)!" He said: "Shirk with Allah disobeying parents, and false testimony." Or: "False speech" He said: "So the Messenger of Allah(s.a.w) would not stop saying it until we said ( to ourselves): 'I wish he would be quiet. "
Hadith 2514
حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ هِلَالٍ الْبَصْرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْجُرَيْرِيِّ . ح وَحَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْبَزَّازُ، حَدَّثَنَا سَيَّارٌ، حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْجُرَيْرِيِّ الْمَعْنَى وَاحِدٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ النَّهْدِيِّ، عَنْ حَنْظَلَةَ الْأُسَيِّدِيِّ وَكَانَ مِنْ كُتَّابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَنَّهُ مَرَّ بِأَبِي بَكْرٍ وَهُوَ يَبْكِي ، فَقَالَ : مَا لَكَ يَا حَنْظَلَةُ ؟ قَالَ : نَافَقَ حَنْظَلَةُ يَا أَبَا بَكْرٍ نَكُونُ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُذَكِّرُنَا بِالنَّارِ وَالْجَنَّةِ كَأَنَّا رَأْيَ عَيْنٍ فَإِذَا رَجَعْنَا إِلَى الْأَزْوَاجِ وَالضَّيْعَةِ نَسِينَا كَثِيرًا ، قَالَ : فَوَاللَّهِ إِنَّا لَكَذَلِكَ انْطَلِقْ بِنَا إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَانْطَلَقْنَا فَلَمَّا رَآهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : مَا لَكَ يَا حَنْظَلَةُ ؟ قَالَ : نَافَقَ حَنْظَلَةُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ نَكُونُ عِنْدَكَ تُذَكِّرُنَا بِالنَّارِ وَالْجَنَّةِ كَأَنَّا رَأْيَ عَيْنٍ فَإِذَا رَجَعْنَا عَافَسْنَا الْأَزْوَاجَ وَالضَّيْعَةَ وَنَسِينَا كَثِيرًا ، قَالَ : فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : لَوْ تَدُومُونَ عَلَى الْحَالِ الَّذِي تَقُومُونَ بِهَا مِنْ عِنْدِي لَصَافَحَتْكُمُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ فِي مَجَالِسِكُمْ وَفِي طُرُقِكُمْ وَعَلَى فُرُشِكُمْ ، وَلَكِنْ يَا حَنْظَلَةُ سَاعَةً وَسَاعَةً وَسَاعَةً وَسَاعَةً " , قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .
´Abu 'Uthman narrated from Hanzalah Al-Usaidi – and he was one of the scribes of the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w)- that he passed by Abu Bakr while he was crying, so he(Abu Bakr) said to him:` “What is wrong with you, O Hanzalah?” He replied: “Hanzalah has become a hypocrite O Abu Bakr! When we are with the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) we remember the Fire and Paradise as if we are looking at them with the naked eye. But when we return we busy ourselves with our wives and livelihood and we forget so much.” He(Abu Bakr) said: “By Allah! The same thing happens to me. Let us go to the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w).” (Hanzalah said:) “So he went." When the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) saw him, he said: “What is wrong with you O Hanzalah?” He said: “Hanzalah has become a hypocrite O Messenger of Allah! When we are with you we remember the Fire and Paradise as if we can see them with the naked eye. But when we return we are busy with our wives and livelihood, and we forget so much.” He said: “So the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said: 'If you were to abide in the state that you are in when you are with me, then the Angels would shake hands with you in your gatherings, and upon your bedding, and in your paths. But O Hanzalah! There is a time for this and a time for that.'” (Sahih)
Hadith 2571
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، أَخْبَرَنَا الْجُرَيْرِيُّ، عَنْ حَكِيمِ بْنِ مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " إِنَّ فِي الْجَنَّةِ بَحْرَ الْمَاءِ وَبَحْرَ الْعَسَلِ وَبَحْرَ اللَّبَنِ وَبَحْرَ الْخَمْرِ ، ثُمَّ تُشَقَّقُ الْأَنْهَارُ بَعْدُ " , قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ ، وَحَكِيمُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ هُوَ وَالِدُ بَهْزِ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ ، وَالْجُرَيْرِيُّ يُكْنَى : أَبَا مَسْعُودٍ وَاسْمُهُ : سَعِيدُ بْنُ إِيَاسٍ .
´Hakim bin Mu'awiyah narrated from his father, that the Prophet (s.a.w) said:` "Indeed in Paradise there is a sea of water, and a sea of honey,and a sea of milk, and a sea of wine, then the rivers shall split off afterwards."
Hadith 2622
حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْمُفَضَّلِ، عَنِ الْجُرَيْرِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ الْعُقَيْلِيِّ، قَالَ : " كَانَ أَصْحَابُ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , لَا يَرَوْنَ شَيْئًا مِنَ الْأَعْمَالِ تَرْكُهُ كُفْرٌ غَيْرَ الصَّلَاةِ " , قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : سَمِعْت أَبَا مُصْعَبٍ الْمَدَنِيَّ , يَقُولُ : مَنْ قَالَ الْإِيمَانُ قَوْلٌ يُسْتَتَابُ فَإِنْ تَابَ وَإِلَّا ضُرِبَتْ عُنُقُهُ .
´Narrated Abdullah bin Shaqiq Al-'Uqayli:` The Companions of Muhammad (ﷺ) didn't consider leaving anything to be disblief except for the Salat.
Hadith 2690
حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ وَكِيعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى، عَنِ الْجُرَيْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ : اسْتَأْذَنَ أَبُو مُوسَى عَلَى عُمَرَ ، فَقَالَ : السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ ، أَأَدْخُلُ ؟ قَالَ عُمَرُ : وَاحِدَةٌ ثُمَّ سَكَتَ سَاعَةً ، ثُمّ قَالَ : السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ ، أَأَدْخُلُ ؟ قَالَ عُمَرُ : ثِنْتَانِ ثُمَّ سَكَتَ سَاعَةً ، فَقَالَ : السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ ، أَأَدْخُلُ ؟ فَقَالَ عُمَرُ : ثَلَاثٌ ، ثُمَّ رَجَعَ فَقَالَ عُمَرُ لِلْبَوَّابِ : مَا صَنَعَ ؟ قَالَ : رَجَعَ ، قَالَ عَلَيَّ بِهِ ، فَلَمَّا جَاءَهُ قَالَ : مَا هَذَا الَّذِي صَنَعْتَ ؟ قَالَ : السُّنَّةُ ، قَالَ السُّنَّةُ ؟ , وَاللَّهِ لَتَأْتِيَنِّي عَلَى هَذَا بِبُرْهَانٍ أَوْ بِبَيِّنَةٍ أَوْ لَأَفْعَلَنَّ بِكَ ، قَالَ : فَأَتَانَا وَنَحْنُ رُفْقَةٌ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ ، فَقَالَ : يَا مَعْشَرَ الْأَنْصَارِ ، أَلَسْتُمْ أَعْلَمَ النَّاسِ رَسُولِ للَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ؟ أَلَمْ يَقُلْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " الِاسْتِئْذَانُ ثَلَاثٌ فَإِنْ أُذِنَ لَكَ ، وَإِلَّا فَارْجِعْ " فَجَعَلَ الْقَوْمُ يُمَازِحُونَهُ ، قَالَ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ : ثُمَّ رَفَعْتُ رَأْسِي إِلَيْهِ فَقُلْتُ : فَمَا أَصَابَكَ فِي هَذَا مِنَ الْعُقُوبَةِ فَأَنَا شَرِيكُكَ ، قَالَ : فَأَتَى عُمَرَ فَأَخْبَرَهُ بِذَلِكَ ، فَقَالَ عُمَرُ : مَا كُنْتُ عَلِمْتُ بِهَذَا , وفي الباب عن عَلِيٍّ ، وَأُمِّ طَارِقٍ مَوْلَاةِ سَعْدٍ ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ ، وَالْجُرَيْرِيُّ اسْمُهُ : سَعِيدُ بْنُ إِيَاسٍ يُكْنَى : أَبَا مَسْعُودٍ ، وَقَدْ رَوَى هَذَا غَيْرُهُ أَيْضًا عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ ، وَأَبُو نَضْرَةَ الْعَبْدِيُّ اسْمُهُ : الْمُنْذِرُ بْنُ مَالِكِ بْنِ قُطَعَةَ .
´Narrated Abu Sa'eed:` "Abu Musa sought permission to enter upon 'Umar. He said: 'As-Salamu 'Alaykum (Peace be upon you). May I enter?' 'Umar said: 'Once.' Then he was silent for some time. Then he said: 'As-Salamu 'Alaykum (Peace be upon you). May I enter?' 'Umar said: Twice.' Then he was silent for some time. Then he said: 'As-salamu 'Alaykum (Peace be upon you). May I enter?' 'Umar said: 'Three times.' Then he (Abu Musa) left. 'Umar said to the gate-keeper: 'What did he do?' He replied: 'He left." He said: 'Bring him to me.' So when he came, 'Umar said to him: 'What is this that you have done?' He said: 'The Sunnah.' He said: 'The Sunnah? By Allah! You had better bring me proof or a witness to clarify this, or I will do this or that to you.'" He said "So he came to us while we were sitting with Ansar. He said: 'O People of the Ansar! Are you not the most knowledgeable people about the Ahadith of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)? Did the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) not say: "Seeking permission is to be done three time. Either you are permitted, or other wise leave?" The people began joking. Abu Sa'eed said: "Then I raised my head toward him and said: "Whatever punishment you are afflicted with because of this, then I shall be your partner in it." So he went to 'Umar to inform him him about it, and 'Umar said: "I did not know about about this."
Hadith 2787
حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلَانَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ الْحَفَرِيُّ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنِ الْجُرَيْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " طِيبُ الرِّجَالِ مَا ظَهَرَ رِيحُهُ وَخَفِيَ لَوْنُهُ ، وَطِيبُ النِّسَاءِ مَا ظَهَرَ لَوْنُهُ وَخَفِيَ رِيحُهُ " .
´Narrated Abu Hurairah:` that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Fragrance for men is that which its scent is apparent and its color is hidden, and fragrance for women is that which its color is visible and its scent is hidden." (Meaning when leaving the home as indicated by the previous chapter. As far as in the presence of the husband, then the woman may wear fragrant perfume.)
Hadith 3019
حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدُ بْنُ مَسْعَدَةَ بَصْرِيٌّ ، حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْمُفَضَّلِ، حَدَّثَنَا الْجُرَيْرِيُّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَلَا أُحَدِّثُكُمْ بِأَكْبَرِ الْكَبَائِرِ ؟ قَالُوا : بَلَى يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : الْإِشْرَاكُ بِاللَّهِ ، وَعُقُوقُ الْوَالِدَيْنِ ، قَالَ : وَجَلَسَ وَكَانَ مُتَّكِئًا ، قَالَ : وَشَهَادَةُ الزُّورِ أَوْ قَالَ قَوْلُ الزُّورِ ، قَالَ : فَمَا زَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُهَا حَتَّى قُلْنَا لَيْتَهُ سَكَتَ " ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ غَرِيبٌ .
´Narrated 'Abdur-Rahman bin Abi Bakrah:` from his father that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Shall I not narrate to you about the worst of the major sins?" They said: "Of course O Messenger of Allah!" He said: "Associating others with Allah and disobeying the parents." He said: "And he sat reclining and said: 'The false testimony.' Or he said: 'The false statement.'" He said: "So the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) would not stop saying it until we said (to ourselves): 'If he would only stop.'"
Hadith 3046
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحَارِثُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْجُرَيْرِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ : " كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُحْرَسُ حَتَّى نَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ وَاللَّهُ يَعْصِمُكَ مِنَ النَّاسِ سورة المائدة آية 67فَأَخْرَجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَأْسَهُ مِنَ الْقُبَّةِ ، فَقَالَ لَهُمْ : يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ ، انْصَرِفُوا فَقَدْ عَصَمَنِي اللَّهُ " .
´Narrated 'Aishah:` "The Prophet (ﷺ) was being guarded until this Ayah was revealed: 'Allah will protect you from mankind.' So the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) stuck his head out from the room and said: 'O you people! Go away, for Allah shall protect me.'" [Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Gharib.
Hadith 3407
حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلَانَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ الزُّبَيْرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الْجُرَيْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ الشِّخِّيرِ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ مَنْ بَنِي حَنْظَلَةَ ، قَالَ : صَحِبْتُ شَدَّادَ بْنَ أَوْسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ فِي سَفَرٍ ، فَقَالَ : أَلَا أُعَلِّمُكَ مَا كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُعَلِّمُنَا أَنْ نَقُولَ : " اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الثَّبَاتَ فِي الْأَمْرِ ، وَأَسْأَلُكَ عَزِيمَةَ الرُّشْدِ ، وَأَسْأَلُكَ شُكْرَ نِعْمَتِكَ ، وَحُسْنَ عِبَادَتِكَ ، وَأَسْأَلُكَ لِسَانًا صَادِقًا وَقَلْبًا سَلِيمًا ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا تَعْلَمُ ، وَأَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ خَيْرِ مَا تَعْلَمُ ، وَأَسْتَغْفِرُكَ مِمَّا تَعْلَمُ إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ عَلَّامُ الْغُيُوبِ " .
´A man from Banu Hanzalah said:` “I accompanied Shaddad bin Aws [may Allah be pleased with him] on a journey, so he said: ‘Should I not teach you what the Messenger of Allah used to teach us? That you say: “O Allah, I ask You for steadfastness in the affair and I ask You for determination upon guidance, and I ask You to make me grateful for Your favor, and excellence in worshiping You, and I ask You for a truthful tongue and a sound heart, and I seek refuge in You from the evil of what You know, and I ask You for the good of what You know, and I seek Your forgiveness for that which You know. Verily, You are the Knower of all that is hidden (Allāhumma innī as’alukath-thabāta fil-amri, wa as’aluka `azīmatar-rushdi, wa as’aluka shukra ni`matika, wa ḥusna `ibādatika, wa as’aluka lisānan ṣādiqan wa qalban salīman, wa a`ūdhu bika min sharri mā ta`lamu, wa as’aluka min khairi mā ta`lamu, wa astaghfiruka mimmā ta`lamu innaka anta `allāmul-ghuyūb).’” He said: ‘The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “There is no Muslim who lays down to sleep while reciting a Surat from Allah’s Book, except that Allah entrusts an angel, so that nothing approaches him to harm him until he awakens, whenever he awakens.”
Hadith 3500
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْحَمِيدِ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْهِلَالِيُّ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ إِيَاسٍ الْجُرَيْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي السَّلِيلِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا ، قَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، سَمِعْتُ دُعَاءَكَ اللَّيْلَةَ فَكَانَ الَّذِي وَصَلَ إِلَيَّ مِنْهُ أَنَّكَ تَقُولُ : " اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي ذَنْبِي ، وَوَسِّعْ لِي فِي رِزْقِي ، وَبَارِكْ لِي فِيمَا رَزَقْتَنِي ، قَالَ : فَهَلْ تَرَاهُنَّ تَرَكْنَ شَيْئًا " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : وَهَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ ، وَأَبُو السَّلِيلِ اسْمُهُ ضُرَيْبُ بْنُ نُفَيْرٍ وَيُقَالُ : ابْنُ نُقَيْرِ .
´Abu Hurairah narrated that a man said:` “O Messenger of Allah, I heard your supplication last night, and the part of it that reached me of it, was that you said: ‘O Allah, forgive me my sin, and expand for me my abode, and bless for me that which You have provided me’ (Allāhummaghfirlī dhanbī, wa wassi` lī fī dārī, wa bārik lī fīmā razaqtanī). He said: ‘Do you see that they leave off anything?’”
Hadith 3527
حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلَانَ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الْجُرَيْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي الْوَرْدِ، عَنِ اللَّجْلَاجِ، عَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ، قَالَ : سَمِعَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَجُلًا يَدْعُو ، يَقُولُ : اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ تَمَامَ النِّعْمَةِ ، فَقَالَ : " أَيُّ شَيْءٍ تَمَامُ النِّعْمَةِ ؟ " قَالَ : دَعْوَةٌ دَعَوْتُ بِهَا أَرْجُو بِهَا الْخَيْرَ ، قَالَ : " فَإِنَّ مِنْ تَمَامِ النِّعْمَةِ دُخُولَ الْجَنَّةِ وَالْفَوْزَ مِنَ النَّارِ " ، وَسَمِعَ رَجُلًا وَهُوَ يَقُولُ : يَا ذَا الْجَلَالِ وَالْإِكْرَامِ ، فَقَالَ : " قَدِ اسْتُجِيبَ لَكَ فَسَلْ " ، وَسَمِعَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَجُلًا وَهُوَ يَقُولُ : اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الصَّبْرَ ، فَقَالَ : " سَأَلْتَ اللَّهَ الْبَلَاءَ فَسَلْهُ الْعَافِيَةَ " .
´Mu`adh bin Jabal narrated that the Prophet (ﷺ) heard a man supplicating, saying:` "O Allah! Verily, I ask You for the bounty's completion (Allāhumma, innī as'aluka tamāman-ni`mah)." So he (ﷺ) said: "What thing is the bounty's completion?" He said: "A supplication that I made, that I hope for good by it." He (ﷺ) said: "Indeed, part of the bounty's completion is the entrance into Paradise, and salvation from the Fire." And he (ﷺ) heard a man while he was saying: "O Possessor of Majesty and Honor (Yā Dhal-Jalāli wal-Ikrām)" So he (ﷺ) said: "You have been responded to, so ask." And the Prophet (ﷺ) heard a man while he was saying: "O Allah, indeed, I ask You for patience (Allāhumma, innī as'alukaṣ-ṣabr)" He (ﷺ) said: "You have asked Allah for trial, so ask him for Al-`Āfiyah."

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّوْرَقِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيل بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، أَخْبَرَنَا الْجُرَيْرِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْجَسْرِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ، عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَادَهُ أَوْ أَنَّ أَبَا ذَرٍّ عَادَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , فَقَالَ : بِأَبِي أَنْتَ وَأُمِّي يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، أَيُّ الْكَلَامِ أَحَبُّ إِلَى اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ ؟ قَالَ : " مَا اصْطَفَى اللَّهُ لِمَلَائِكَتِهِ سُبْحَانَ رَبِّي وَبِحَمْدِهِ سُبْحَانَ رَبِّي وَبِحَمْدِهِ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .
´Abu Dharr narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) visited him, or that Abu Dharr visited the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), and said:` “May my father and my mother be ransomed for you, O Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)! Which speech is most beloved to Allah [the Mighty and Sublime]?” So he said: “That which Allah selected for His angels (to say): ‘Glory to my Lord, and with His praise. Glory to my Lord, and with His praise (Subḥāna rabbī wa biḥamdihi, subḥāna rabbī wa biḥamdihi).’”
Hadith 3657
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّوْرَقِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيل بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنِ الْجُرَيْرِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ لِعَائِشَةَ : أَيُّ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ أَحَبَّ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ؟ قَالَتْ : أَبُو بَكْرٍ ، قُلْتُ : ثُمَّ مَنْ ؟ قَالَتْ : عُمَرُ ، قُلْتُ : ثُمَّ مَنْ ؟ قَالَتْ : ثُمَّ أَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ بْنُ الْجَرَّاحِ ، قُلْتُ : ثُمَّ مَنْ ؟ قَالَ : فَسَكَتَتْ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .
´Narrated 'Abdullah bin Shaqiq:` "I said to 'Aishah: 'Which of the Companions of the Prophet (ﷺ) were the most beloved to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)?' She said: 'Abu Bakr.' I said: 'Then who?' She said: ''Umar.' I said: "Then who?' She said: 'Then Abu 'Ubaidah bin Al-Jarrah.'" He said: "I said: 'Then who?''" He said: "Then she was silent."
Hadith 3667
حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الْأَشَجُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عُقْبَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنِ الْجُرَيْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ : قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ : " أَلَسْتُ أَحَقَّ النَّاسِ بَهَا ، أَلَسْتُ أَوَّلَ مَنْ أَسْلَمَ ، أَلَسْتُ صَاحِبَ كَذَا " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا غَرِيبٌ ، وَرَوَى بَعْضُهُمْ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، عَنِ الْجُرَيْرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ : وَهَذَا أَصَحُّ .
´Narrated Abu Sa'eed Al-Khudri:` that Abu Bakr said: "Am I not the most deserving of it among the people, am I not the first to become Muslim, am I not the person of such and such, am I not the person of such and such."
Hadith 3703
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، وَعَبَّاسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الدُّورِيُّ، وغير واحد المعنى واحد ، قَالُوا : حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ، قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ : أَخْبَرَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي الْحَجَّاجِ الْمَنْقَرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ الْجُرَيْرِيِّ، عَنْ ثُمَامَةَ بْنِ حَزْنٍ الْقُشَيْرِيِّ، قَالَ : شَهِدْتُ الدَّارَ حِينَ أَشْرَفَ عَلَيْهِمْ عُثْمَانُ فَقَالَ : ائْتُونِي بِصَاحِبَيْكُمُ اللَّذَيْنِ أَلَّبَاكُمْ عَلَيَّ ، قَالَ : فَجِيءَ بِهِمَا فَكَأَنَّهُمَا جَمَلَانِ , أَوْ كَأَنَّهُمَا حِمَارَانِ ، قَالَ : فَأَشْرَفَ عَلَيْهِمْ عُثْمَانُ , فَقَالَ : أَنْشُدُكُمْ بِاللَّهِ وَالْإِسْلَامِ هَلْ تَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَدِمَ الْمَدِينَةَ وَلَيْسَ بِهَا مَاءٌ يُسْتَعْذَبُ غَيْرَ بِئْرِ رُومَةَ ، فَقَالَ : " مَنْ يَشْتَرِي بِئْرَ رُومَةَ فَيَجْعَلَ دَلْوَهُ مَعَ دِلَاءِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ بِخَيْرٍ لَهُ مِنْهَا فِي الْجَنَّةِ ؟ " ، فَاشْتَرَيْتُهَا مِنْ صُلْبِ مَالِي فَأَنْتُمُ الْيَوْمَ تَمْنَعُونِي أَنْ أَشْرَبَ حَتَّى أَشْرَبَ مِنْ مَاءِ الْبَحْرِ ، قَالُوا : اللَّهُمَّ نَعَمْ ، قَالَ : أَنْشُدُكُمْ بِاللَّهِ وَالْإِسْلَامِ هَلْ تَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّ الْمَسْجِدَ ضَاقَ بِأَهْلِهِ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ يَشْتَرِي بُقْعَةَ آلِ فُلَانٍ فَيَزِيدَهَا فِي الْمَسْجِدِ بِخَيْرٍ مِنْهَا فِي الْجَنَّةِ " فَاشْتَرَيْتُهَا مِنْ صُلْبِ مَالِي ، فَأَنْتُمُ الْيَوْمَ تَمْنَعُونِي أَنْ أُصَلِّيَ فِيهَا رَكْعَتَيْنِ ، قَالُوا : اللَّهُمَّ نَعَمْ ، قَالَ : أَنْشُدُكُمْ بِاللَّهِ وَالْإِسْلَامِ ، هَلْ تَعْلَمُونَ أَنِّي جَهَّزْتُ جَيْشَ الْعُسْرَةِ مِنْ مَالِي ؟ قَالُوا : اللَّهُمَّ نَعَمْ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : أَنْشُدُكُمْ بِاللَّهِ وَالْإِسْلَامِ هَلْ تَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ عَلَى ثَبِيرِ مَكَّةَ وَمَعَهُ أَبُو بَكْرٍ , وَعُمَرُ , وَأَنَا فَتَحَرَّكَ الْجَبَلُ حَتَّى تَسَاقَطَتْ حِجَارَتُهُ بِالْحَضِيضِ ، قَالَ : فَرَكَضَهُ بِرِجْلِهِ وَقَالَ : اسْكُنْ ثَبِيرُ فَإِنَّمَا عَلَيْكَ نَبِيٌّ , وَصِدِّيقٌ , وَشَهِيدَانِ ، قَالُوا : اللَّهُمَّ نَعَمْ ، قَالَ : اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ شَهِدُوا لِي وَرَبِّ الْكَعْبَةِ أَنِّي شَهِيدٌ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَسَنٌ وَقَدْ رُوِيَ مِنْ غَيْرِ وَجْهٍ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ .
´Narrated Thumamah bin Hazn Al-Qushairi:` "I was present at the house when 'Uthman appeared above them saying: 'Bring me your two companions who have gathered you against me.'" He said: "So they were brought as if they were two camels, or as if they were two donkeys." He said: "'Uthman appeared above them and said: 'I ask you by Allah and Islam! Do you know that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) came to Al-Madinah and there was no water in it that was sweet except the well of Rumah, so the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'Who will purchase the well of Rumah and place his bucket alongside the buckets of the Muslims, in exchange for better than that in Paradise?' So I bought it with the core of my wealth, and today you prevent me from drinking from it, so that I would have to drink from the water of the sea?' They said: 'O Allah! Yes!' He said: 'I ask you by Allah and Islam! Do you know that the Masjid, was insufficient for its people, so the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'Who will purchase the land of the family of so-and-so, and add it to the Masjid in exchange for better than that in Paradise?' So I bought it with the core of my wealth, and today you prevent me from praying two Rak'ah in it?' They said: 'O Allah! Yes.' He said: 'I ask you by Allah and Islam! Do you know that I prepared the 'army of distress' from my wealth?' They said: 'O Allah! Yes!' Then he said: 'I ask you by Allah and Islam! Do you know that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was on (mount) Thabir of Makkah, and with him was Abu Bakr, and 'Umar, and myself. The mountain began shaking until its rocks fell to its bottom.' He said: 'So he (ﷺ) stomped it with his foot and said: "Be still O Thabir! For there is none upon except a Prophet, a Siddiq and two martyrs?"' They said: 'O Allah! Yes!' He said: 'Allah is Great! Bear witness by the Lord of the Ka'bah that I am a martyr!' - three times."
