Hadith 84
حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الرَّبِيعِ الزَّهْرَانِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ . ح وحَدَّثَنَا خَلَفُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ وَاللَّفْظُ لَهُ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي مُرَاوِحٍ اللَّيْثِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، " أَيُّ الأَعْمَالِ أَفْضَلُ ؟ قَالَ : الإِيمَانُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْجِهَادُ فِي سَبِيلِهِ ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ : أَيُّ الرِّقَابِ أَفْضَلُ ؟ قَالَ : أَنْفَسُهَا عِنْدَ أَهْلِهَا ، وَأَكْثَرُهَا ثَمَنًا ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ : فَإِنْ لَمْ أَفْعَلْ ؟ قَالَ : تُعِينُ صَانِعًا أَوْ تَصْنَعُ لأَخْرَقَ ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، أَرَأَيْتَ إِنْ ضَعُفْتُ عَنْ بَعْضِ الْعَمَلِ ؟ قَالَ : تَكُفُّ شَرَّكَ عَنِ النَّاسِ ، فَإِنَّهَا صَدَقَةٌ مِنْكَ عَلَى نَفْسِكَ " .
Abu Dharr (RA) reported: I said: Messenger of Allah, which of the deeds is the best? He (the Holy Prophet) replied: Belief in Allah and Jihad in His cause. I again asked: Who is the slave whose emancipation is the best? He (the Holy Prophet) replied: One who is valuable for his master and whose price is high. I said: If I can't afford to do it? He (the Holy Prophet) replied: Help an artisan or make anything for the unskilled (labourer). I (Abu Dharr) said: Messenger of Allah, you see that I am helpless in doing some of these deeds. He (the Holy Prophet) replied: Desist from doing mischief to the people. That is the charity of your person on your behalf.
Hadith 1121
وحَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الطَّاهِرِ ، وَهَارُونُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْأَيْلِيُّ ، قَالَ هَارُونُ حَدَّثَنَا ، قَالَ أَبُو الطَّاهِرِ : أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْأَسْوَدِ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ أَبِي مُرَاوِحٍ ، عَنْ حَمْزَةَ بْنِ عَمْرٍو الْأَسْلَمِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَجِدُ بِي قُوَّةً عَلَى الصِّيَامِ فِي السَّفَرِ ، فَهَلْ عَلَيَّ جُنَاحٌ ؟ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " هِيَ رُخْصَةٌ مِنَ اللَّهِ ، فَمَنْ أَخَذَ بِهَا فَحَسَنٌ ، وَمَنْ أَحَبَّ أَنْ يَصُومَ ، فَلَا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْهِ " ، قَالَ هَارُونُ فِي حَدِيثِهِ : " هِيَ رُخْصَةٌ " ، وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ مِنَ اللَّهِ .
Hamza bin 'Amr al-Aslami (RA) said: Messenger of Allah, I find strength in me for fasting on a journey; is there any sin upon me (in doing it)? Thereupon the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: It is a concession from Allah. He who took advantage of it, it is good for him, and he who preferred to observe fast, there is no sin upon him. Harun (one of the narrators) in his narration said: 'lt is a concession, and he made no mention of "from Allah".
