Hadith 1293
حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدُ بْنُ مَسْعَدَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا الْمُعْتَمِرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، قَال : سَمِعْتُ لَيْثًا يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ عَبَّادٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، عَنْ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ ، إِنِّي اشْتَرَيْتُ خَمْرًا لِأَيْتَامٍ فِي حِجْرِي ، قَالَ : " أَهْرِقْ الْخَمْرَ ، وَاكْسِرِ الدِّنَانَ " . قَالَ : وَفِي الْبَاب ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، وَعَائِشَةَ ، وَأَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، وَابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ ، وَابْنِ عُمَرَ ، وَأَنَسٍ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : حَدِيثُ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ رَوَى الثَّوْرِيُّ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ ، عَنْ السُّدِّيِّ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ عَبَّادٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، أَنَّ أَبَا طَلْحَةَ كَانَ عِنْدَهُ ، وَهَذَا أَصَحُّ مِنْ حَدِيثِ اللَّيْثِ .
Abu Talhah (may Allah be pleased with him) says that he submitted: O Messenger of Allah! I had bought wine for those orphans who are under my care. (What is its ruling?) The Prophet said: "Pour out the wine and break the pitchers." © Imam Tirmidhi says:
1- This hadith of Abu Talhah (may Allah be pleased with him) has been narrated by Sufyan al-Thawri through the route: «السدي ، عن يحيى بن عباد ، عن أنس» that Abu Talhah was with the Prophet 1, and this narration is more authentic than the narration of al-Layth,
2- In this chapter, hadiths have also been reported from Jabir, Aisha, Abu Sa'id, Ibn Mas'ud, Ibn Umar, and Anas (may Allah be pleased with them).
1- This hadith of Abu Talhah (may Allah be pleased with him) has been narrated by Sufyan al-Thawri through the route: «السدي ، عن يحيى بن عباد ، عن أنس» that Abu Talhah was with the Prophet 1, and this narration is more authentic than the narration of al-Layth,
2- In this chapter, hadiths have also been reported from Jabir, Aisha, Abu Sa'id, Ibn Mas'ud, Ibn Umar, and Anas (may Allah be pleased with them).
Hadith 1551
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، عَنْ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " كَانَ إِذَا ظَهَرَ عَلَى قَوْمٍ ، أَقَامَ بِعَرْصَتِهِمْ ثَلَاثًا " ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ ، وَحَدِيثُ حُمَيْدٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ ، وَقَدْ رَخَّصَ قَوْمٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ فِي الْغَارَةِ بِاللَّيْلِ وَأَنْ يُبَيِّتُوا ، وَكَرِهَهُ بَعْضُهُمْ ، وقَالَ أَحْمَدُ ، وَإِسْحَاق : لَا بَأْسَ أَنْ يُبَيَّتَ الْعَدُوُّ لَيْلًا ، وَمَعْنَى قَوْلِهِ وَافَقَ مُحَمَّدٌ الْخَمِيسَ ، يَعْنِي بِهِ : الْجَيْشَ .
´Narrated Abu Talhah:` "When the Prophet (ﷺ) overtook a people he would stay at the outskirts of their city for three nights."
Hadith 1750
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاق بْنُ مُوسَى الْأَنْصَارِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْنٌ، حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ أَبِي النَّضْرِ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ، " أَنَّهُ دَخَلَ عَلَى أَبِي طَلْحَةَ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ يَعُودُهُ ، قَالَ : فَوَجَدْتُ عِنْدَهُ سَهْلَ بْنَ حُنَيْفٍ ، قَالَ : فَدَعَا أَبُو طَلْحَةَ إِنْسَانًا يَنْزِعُ نَمَطًا تَحْتَهُ ، فَقَالَ لَهُ سَهْلٌ : لِمَ تَنْزِعُهُ ؟ فَقَالَ : لِأَنَّ فِيهِ تَصَاوِيرَ ، وَقَدْ قَالَ فِيهِ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا قَدْ عَلِمْتَ ، قَالَ سَهْلٌ : أَوَلَمْ يَقُلْ : إِلَّا مَا كَانَ رَقْمًا فِي ثَوْبٍ ؟ فَقَالَ : بَلَى ، وَلَكِنَّهُ أَطْيَبُ لِنَفْسِي " ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .
‘Ubaydullah bin ‘Abdullah bin ‘Utbah says that he went to visit Abu Talhah Al-Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) at his house, and I found Sahl bin Hunaif (may Allah be pleased with him) with him. Abu Talhah (may Allah be pleased with him) called a man to bring out the sheet that was under him. Sahl (may Allah be pleased with him) said to him: “Why are you taking it out?” He said: “Because it has images on it, and you know what the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said about this.” Sahl (may Allah be pleased with him) said: “He also said: ‘Except for a cloth with patterns.’” Abu Talhah said: “He did say that, but this is better for me.” 1. © Imam Tirmidhi says: This hadith is Hasan Sahih.
Hadith 2371
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي زِيَادٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سَيَّارُ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ، قَالَ : شَكَوْنَا إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْجُوعَ وَرَفَعْنَا عَنْ بُطُونِنَا عَنْ حَجَرٍ حَجَرٍ " فَرَفَعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ حَجَرَيْنِ " , قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ لَا نَعْرِفُهُ إِلَّا مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ .
´Anas bin Malik narrated from Abu Talhah who said:` "We complained to the Messenger of Allah(s.a.w) of hunger and we raised(our garments ) from our stomachs (exposing) a stone (on each of us). So the Messenger of Allah(s.a.w) raised (his garment exposing) two stones."
Hadith 2804
حَدَّثَنَا سَلَمَةُ بْنُ شَبِيبٍ، وَالْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْخَلَّالُ، وعبد بن حميد، وغير واحد ، واللفظ للحسن بن علي ، قَالُوا : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ، يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا طَلْحَةَ، يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " لَا تَدْخُلُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ بَيْتًا فِيهِ كَلْبٌ وَلَا صُورَةُ تَمَاثِيلَ " ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .
´Narrated Ibn 'Abbas:` "I heard Abu Talhah saying: 'I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) saying: "The angels do not enter a house in which there is a dog or an object of images."
Hadith 2997
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاق بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ بَكْرٍ السَّهْمِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدٌ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ : لَمَّا نَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ : لَنْ تَنَالُوا الْبِرَّ حَتَّى تُنْفِقُوا مِمَّا تُحِبُّونَ سورة آل عمران آية 92 أَوْ مَنْ ذَا الَّذِي يُقْرِضُ اللَّهَ قَرْضًا حَسَنًا سورة البقرة آية 245 ، قَالَ أَبُو طَلْحَةَ، وَكَانَ لَهُ حَائِطٌ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ حَائِطِي لِلَّهِ ، وَلَوِ اسْتَطَعْتُ أَنْ أُسِرَّهُ لَمْ أُعْلِنْهُ ، فَقَالَ : " اجْعَلْهُ فِي قَرَابَتِكَ أَوْ أَقْرَبِيكَ " ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ ، وَقَدْ رَوَاهُ مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ ، عَنْ إِسْحَاق بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ .
´Narrated Anas:` "When this Ayah was revealed: By no means shall you attain Al-Birr unless you spend of that which you love (3:92). Or, '...Who is he that will lend to Allah a goodly loan... (2:245)' Abu Talhah - who had a garden - said: 'O Messenger of Allah! My garden is for Allah, and if I was able to keep it secret I would not make it public.' So he said: 'Keep it for your relatives' or 'your close relatives.'"
Hadith 3007
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ، عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، عَنْ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ، قَالَ : " رَفَعْتُ رَأْسِي يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ فَجَعَلْتُ أَنْظُرُ ، وَمَا مِنْهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ أَحَدٌ إِلَّا يَمِيدُ تَحْتَ حَجَفَتِهِ مِنَ النُّعَاسِ ، فَذَلِكَ قَوْلُهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ : ثُمَّ أَنْزَلَ عَلَيْكُمْ مِنْ بَعْدِ الْغَمِّ أَمَنَةً نُعَاسًا سورة آل عمران آية 154 " ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ .
´Narrated Anas:` that Abu Talhah said: "I raised my head to look around on the Day of Uhud, and there was not one of them that day except that he was swaying under his shield due to drowsiness. Allah said about that: Then He sent down upon you - after the distress - a slumber of security (3:154).
Hadith 3008
حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ حَمَّادٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، أَنَّ أَبَا طَلْحَةَ، قَالَ : " غُشِينَا وَنَحْنُ فِي مَصَافِّنَا يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ ، حَدَّثَ أَنَّهُ كَانَ فِيمَنْ غَشِيَهُ النُّعَاسُ يَوْمَئِذٍ ، قَالَ : فَجَعَلَ سَيْفِي يَسْقُطُ مِنْ يَدِي وَآخُذُهُ ، وَيَسْقُطُ مِنْ يَدِي وَآخُذُهُ ، وَالطَّائِفَةُ الْأُخْرَى الْمُنَاقِدُونَ لَيْسَ لَهُمْ هَمٌّ إِلَّا أَنْفُسُهُمْ ، أَجْبَنُ قَوْمٍ وَأَرْعَبُهُ وَأَخْذَلُهُ لِلْحَقِّ " ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .
´Narrated Anas:` that Abu Talhah said: "We were overcome, and we were in our positions on the Day of Uhud," and he narrated that he was among those who were overcome with slumber on that day. He said: "My sword kept falling from my hand and I would pick it up and it would fall from my hand and I would pick it up (again). The other party was that of the hypocrites, they had no concern but themselves, the most cowardly of people, the most frightened, fleeing from the truth."
Hadith 3903
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْخُزَاعِيُّ الْبَصْرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ , وَعَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ الْبُنَانِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ، قَالَ : قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَقْرِئْ قَوْمَكَ السَّلَامَ فَإِنَّهُمْ مَا عَلِمْتُ أَعِفَّةٌ صُبُرٌ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .
´Narrated Abu Talhah:` "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said to me: 'Convey my Salam to your people, because I know them to be modest and patient.'"
