Hadith 746
حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلَانَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ، وَمُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ خَيْثَمَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ : " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَصُومُ مِنَ الشَّهْرِ السَّبْتَ وَالْأَحَدَ وَالِاثْنَيْنِ وَمِنَ الشَّهْرِ الْآخَرِ الثُّلَاثَاءَ وَالْأَرْبِعَاءَ وَالْخَمِيسَ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ ، وَرَوَى عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ وَلَمْ يَرْفَعْهُ .
´Aishah narrated:` "The Messenger of Allah would fast Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays in one months, and Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays in the next month."
Hadith 2415
حَدَّثَنَا هَنَّادٌ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ خَيْثَمَةَ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ حَاتِمٍ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَا مِنْكُمْ مِنْ رَجُلٍ إِلَّا سَيُكَلِّمُهُ رَبُّهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَلَيْسَ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَهُ تُرْجُمَانٌ ، فَيَنْظُرُ أَيْمَنَ مِنْهُ فَلَا يَرَى شَيْئًا إِلَّا شَيْئًا قَدَّمَهُ ، ثُمَّ يَنْظُرُ أَشْأَمَ مِنْهُ فَلَا يَرَى شَيْئًا إِلَّا شَيْئًا قَدَّمَهُ ، ثُمَّ يَنْظُرُ تِلْقَاءَ وَجْهِهِ فَتَسْتَقْبِلُهُ النَّارُ " ، قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنِ اسْتَطَاعَ مِنْكُمْ أَنْ يَقِيَ وَجْهَهُ حَرَّ النَّارِ وَلَوْ بِشِقِّ تَمْرَةٍ فَلْيَفْعَلْ " , قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .
´'Adi bin Hatim narrated that the Messenger of Allah SAW said:` "There is no man among you except that his Lord shall converse with him on the Day of Judgement, there being no interpreter between him and Him (Allah). Then he looks to the south (his right) and does not see anything except the things he put forward (of good), then he looks to the north (his left) and he does not see anything except the things he put forward (of evil), then he turns to look before him to find he is facing the Fire." The Messenger of Allah SAW, said: "Whoever among you is able to protect his face from [the heat of] the Fire – even with a piece of a date - then let him do so." (Sahih) [Abu 'Eisa said: This Hadith is Hasan Sahih]. Abu As-Sã'ib narrated to us: "One day, Waki' narrated this Hadith to us from Al-'Amash. When Waki' was finished with this Hadith, he said: 'Whoever is present from the inhabitants of Khurãsãn, then let him seek the reward of spreading this Hadith in Khurãsãn." Abu 'Eisa said: The Jahmiyyah rejected this. [Abu As-Sã'ib's name is Salam bin Junadah bin Khãlid bin Jäbir bin Samurah Al-Kufi]. This Hadith is Hasan Sahih.
Hadith 2730
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدَةَ الضَّبِّيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سُلَيْمٍ الطَّائِفِيُّ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ خَيْثَمَةَ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ، عَنْ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مِنْ تَمَامِ التَّحِيَّةِ الْأَخْذُ بِالْيَدِ " , وفي الباب عن الْبَرَاءِ ، وَابْنِ عُمَرَ , قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ وَلَا نَعْرِفُهُ إِلَّا مِنْ حَدِيثِ يَحْيَى بْنِ سُلَيْمٍ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، قَالَ : سَأَلْتُ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ إِسْمَاعِيل ، عَنْ هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ فَلَمْ يَعُدَّهُ مَحْفُوظًا ، وَقَالَ : إِنَّمَا أَرَادَ عِنْدِي حَدِيثَ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، عَنْ خَيْثَمَةَ ، عَمَّنْ , سَمِعَ ابْنَ مَسْعُودٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " لَا سَمَرَ إِلَّا لِمُصَلٍّ أَوْ مُسَافِرٍ " , قَالَ مُحَمَّدٌ : وَإِنَّمَا يُرْوَى عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاق ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ , أَوْ غَيْرِهِ , قَالَ : " مِنْ تَمَامِ التَّحِيَّةِ الْأَخْذُ بِالْيَدِ " .
´Narrated Ibn Mas'ud:` that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "taking hold of the hand is from the completeness of the greeting."
Hadith 3811
حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا الْجَرَّاحُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ الْبَصْرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ خَيْثَمَةَ بْنِ أَبِي سَبْرَةَ، قَالَ : أَتَيْتُ الْمَدِينَةَ فَسَأَلْتُ اللَّهَ أَنْ يُيَسِّرَ لِي جَلِيسا صالحا , فيسر لِي أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ , فَجَلَسْتُ إِلَيْهِ , فَقُلْتُ لَهُ : إِنِّي سَأَلْتُ اللَّهَ أَنْ يُيَسِّرَ لِي جَلِيسا صالحا فوفقت لِي ، فَقَالَ لِي : " مِنْ أَيْنَ أَنْتَ ؟ " ، قُلْتُ : مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكُوفَةِ جِئْتُ أَلْتَمِسُ الْخَيْرَ وَأَطْلُبُهُ ، قَالَ : " أَلَيْسَ فِيكُمْ سَعْدُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ مُجَابُ الدَّعْوَةِ ، وَابْنُ مَسْعُودٍ صَاحِبُ طَهُورِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَنَعْلَيْهِ ، وَحُذَيْفَةُ صَاحِبُ سِرِّ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَعَمَّارٌ الَّذِي أَجَارَهُ اللَّهُ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ عَلَى لِسَانِ نَبِيِّهِ ، وَسَلْمَانُ صَاحِبُ الْكِتَابَيْنِ " ، قَالَ قَتَادَةُ : وَالْكِتَابَانِ : الْإِنْجِيلُ , وَالْفُرْقَانُ . قَالَ : هَذَا حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ غَرِيبٌ ، وَخَيْثَمَةُ هُوَ ابْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي سَبْرَةَ إِنَّمَا نُسِبَ إِلَى جَدِّهِ .
´Narrated Khaithamah bin Abi Sabrah:` "I came to Al-Madinah, so I asked Allah to make it easy for me to sit with one who is righteous. He made Abu Hurairah accessible to me, so I sat with him and said to him: 'Indeed, I asked Allah to make it easy for me to sit with one who is righteous, and it is to you that I was guided.' So he said to me: 'From where are you?' I said: 'From the people of Al-Kufah, I came to search out good and to seek it.' So he said: 'Is there not among you Sa'd bin Malik whose supplication is answered, Ibn Mas'ud, the one who used to carry the water for purification and the sandals of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), and Hudhaifah, the keeper of the secrets of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), and 'Ammar whom Allah has guarded from Shaitan upon the tongue of His Prophet, and Salman the companion of the Two Books?'"
