Hadith 3109
حَدَّثَنَا
أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا
يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، أَخْبَرَنَا
حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ
يَعْلَى بْنِ عَطَاءٍ، عَنْ
وَكِيعِ بْنِ حُدُسٍ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ
أَبِي رَزِينٍ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، أَيْنَ كَانَ رَبُّنَا قَبْلَ أَنْ يَخْلُقَ خَلْقَهُ ؟ قَالَ : " كَانَ فِي عَمَاءٍ مَا تَحْتَهُ هَوَاءٌ وَمَا فَوْقَهُ هَوَاءٌ وَخَلَقَ عَرْشَهُ عَلَى الْمَاءِ " ، قَالَ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ ، قَالَ يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ الْعَمَاءُ : أَيْ لَيْسَ مَعَهُ شَيْءٌ ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَكَذَا رَوَى حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، وَكِيعُ بْنُ حُدُسٍ ، وَيَقُولُ شُعْبَةُ ، وَأَبُو عَوَانَةَ ، وَهُشَيْمٌ : وَكِيعُ بْنُ عُدُسٍ وَهُوَ أَصَحُّ ، وَأَبُو رَزِينٍ اسْمُهُ لَقِيطُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ ، قَالَ : وَهَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ .
´Narrated Waki' bin Hudus:` from his uncle Abu Razin who said: "I said: 'O Messenger of Allah! Where was our Lord before He created His creation?' He said: 'He was (above) the clouds - no air was under him, no air was above him, and He created His Throne upon the water.'" Ahmad [bin Mani'] said: "Yazid bin Harun said (regarding) the air - 'It means there was nothing with him."
Hadith 3119
حَدَّثَنَا

أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ، حَدَّثَنَا
حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ
شُعَيْبِ بْنِ الْحَبْحَابِ، عَنْ
أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ : " أُتِيَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِقِنَاعٍ عَلَيْهِ رُطَبٌ ، فَقَالَ : " مَثَلُ كَلِمَةً طَيِّبَةً كَشَجَرَةٍ طَيِّبَةٍ أَصْلُهَا ثَابِتٌ وَفَرْعُهَا فِي السَّمَاءِ { 24 } تُؤْتِي أُكُلَهَا كُلَّ حِينٍ بِإِذْنِ رَبِّهَا سورة إبراهيم آية 24 ـ 25 ، قَالَ : هِيَ النَّخْلَةُ وَمَثَلُ كَلِمَةٍ خَبِيثَةٍ كَشَجَرَةٍ خَبِيثَةٍ اجْتُثَّتْ مِنْ فَوْقِ الأَرْضِ مَا لَهَا مِنْ قَرَارٍ سورة إبراهيم آية 26 قَالَ : هِيَ الْحَنْظَلُ " ، قَالَ : فَأَخْبَرْتُ بِذَلِكَ أَبَا الْعَالِيَةِ ، فَقَالَ : صَدَقَ وَأَحْسَنَ .
´Narrated Anas bin Malik:` "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was brought a dish with unripe dates on it. He said: The parable of a goodly word is that of a goodly tree, whose root is firmly fixed, and its branches (reach) to the sky (14:24 & 25).' And he said: 'It is the date-palm.' And the parable of an evil tree uprooted from the surface of the earth, having no stability (14:26). He said: 'It is the colocynth tree.'"
Hadith 3142
´Narrated Abu Hurairah:` that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "People will be gathered in three classes on the Day of Resurrection: A class walking, a class riding, and a class upon their faces." It was said: "O Messenger of Allah! How will they walk upon their faces?" He said: "Indeed the One Who made them walk upon their feet, is able to make them walk upon their faces. Verily they will try to protect their faces from every bump and thorn."
Hadith 3187
حَدَّثَنَا

حَمَّادِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ
عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ
أَوْسِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ، عَنْ
أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " تَخْرُجُ الدَّابَّةُ مَعَهَا خَاتَمُ سُلَيْمَانَ وَعَصَا مُوسَى فَتَجْلُو وَجْهَ الْمُؤْمِنِ ، وَتَخْتِمُ أَنْفَ الْكَافِرِ بِالْخَاتَمِ حَتَّى إِنَّ أَهْلَ الْخُوَانِ لَيَجْتَمِعُونَ ، فَيَقُولُ : هَاهَا يَا مُؤْمِنُ ، وَيُقَالُ : هَاهَا يَا كَافِرُ ، وَيَقُولُ هَذَا : يَا مُؤْمِنُ ، وَيَقُولُ هَذَا : يَا كَافِرُ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ ، وَقَدْ رُوِيَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثُ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ غَيْرِ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ فِي دَابَّةِ الْأَرْضِ ، وَفِي الْبَابِ ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ ، وَحُذَيْفَةَ بْنِ أَسِيدٍ .
´Narrated Abu Hurairah:` that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "A beast will emerge from the earth. With it shall be the ring of Sulaiman and the staff of Musa. It will brighten the face of the believer, and stamp the nose of the disbeliever with the ring, such that when the people gather to eat, it will be said to this one: 'O believer! and to that one: 'O disbeliever!'"
Hadith 3206
حَدَّثَنَا

عَفَّانُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا
حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، أَخْبَرَنَا
عَلِيُّ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ
أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَمُرُّ بِبَابِ فَاطِمَةَ سِتَّةَ أَشْهُرٍ إِذَا خَرَجَ إِلَى صَلَاةِ الْفَجْرِ ، يَقُولُ : الصَّلَاةَ يَا أَهْلَ الْبَيْتِ : إِنَّمَا يُرِيدُ اللَّهُ لِيُذْهِبَ عَنْكُمُ الرِّجْسَ أَهْلَ الْبَيْتِ وَيُطَهِّرَكُمْ تَطْهِيرًا سورة الأحزاب آية 33 " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ إِنَّمَا نَعْرِفُهُ مِنْ حَدِيثِ حَمَّادِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ ، قَالَ : وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ أَبِي الْحَمْرَاءِ ، وَمَعْقِلِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ ، وَأُمِّ سَلَمَةَ .
´Narrated Anas bin Malik:` "For six months, the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) would pass by the door of Fatimah when going to the Fajr prayer saying: 'As-Salat O People of the house! Allah only wishes to remove the Rijs from you, O members of the family, and to purify you with thorough purification (33:33).'"
Hadith 3237
´Narrated Asma bint Yazid:` "I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) reciting: 'Say: "O My slaves who have transgressed against themselves! Despair not of the mercy of Allah, verily, Allah forgives all sins and I do not mind (referring to 39:53)."
Hadith 3264
حَدَّثَنَا
عَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي
سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا
حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ
ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ
أَنَسٍ، " أَنَّ ثَمَانِينَ هَبَطُوا عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَصْحَابِهِ مِنْ جَبَلِ التَّنْعِيمِ عِنْدَ صَلَاةِ الصُّبْحِ وَهُمْ يُرِيدُونَ أَنْ يَقْتُلُوهُ ، فَأُخِذُوا أَخْذًا ، فَأَعْتَقَهُمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ : وَهُوَ الَّذِي كَفَّ أَيْدِيَهُمْ عَنْكُمْ وَأَيْدِيَكُمْ عَنْهُمْ سورة الفتح آية 24 الْآيَةَ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .
´Narrated Anas:` that eighty people swooped down from the mountain of At-Tan'im to kill the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) during Salat As-Subh, but he captured them and (later) let them go. So Allah revealed the Ayah: And it is He Who has withheld their hands from you and your hands from them (48:24).
Hadith 3396
´Anas bin Malik (ra) narrated that :` when he went to his bed, the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to say: “All praise is due to Allah, who has fed us and given us to drink, and has sufficed and granted us refuge, and how many are they who have none to suffice them and none to grant them refuge (Al-ḥamdulillāhi alladhi aṭ`amanā wa saqānā wa kafānā wa āwānā, wakam mimman lā kāfiya lahu wa lā mu'wiy).”
Hadith 3447
حَدَّثَنَا
سُوَيْدُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا
عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، حَدَّثَنَا
حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ
أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ
عَلِيِّ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْبَارِقِيِّ، عَنْ
ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " كَانَ إِذَا سَافَرَ فَرَكِبَ رَاحِلَتَهُ كَبَّرَ ثَلَاثًا ، وَيَقُولُ : سُبْحَانَ الَّذِي سَخَّرَ لَنَا هَذَا وَمَا كُنَّا لَهُ مُقْرِنِينَ { 13 } وَإِنَّا إِلَى رَبِّنَا لَمُنْقَلِبُونَ { 14 } سورة الزخرف آية 13-14 ، ثُمَّ يَقُولُ : اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ فِي سَفَرِي هَذَا مِنَ الْبِرِّ وَالتَّقْوَى ، وَمِنَ الْعَمَلِ مَا تَرْضَى ، اللَّهُمَّ هَوِّنْ عَلَيْنَا الْمَسِيرَ وَاطْوِ عَنَّا بُعْدَ الْأَرْضِ ، اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ الصَّاحِبُ فِي السَّفَرِ وَالْخَلِيفَةُ فِي الْأَهْلِ ، اللَّهُمَّ اصْحَبْنَا فِي سَفَرِنَا وَاخْلُفْنَا فِي أَهْلِنَا " ، وَكَانَ يَقُولُ : إِذَا رَجَعَ إِلَى أَهْلِهِ : " آيِبُونَ إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ تَائِبُونَ عَابِدُونَ لِرَبِّنَا حَامِدُونَ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ .
´Ibn `Umar narrated that:` When the Prophet (ﷺ) wanted to travel, when he mounted his riding camel, he would say the Takbir three times and say: Glory is to Him Who has subjected this to us, and we were not able to do it. And, surely, to our Lord are we returning (Subḥān alladhī sakh-khara lanā hādhā wa mā kunnā lahū muqrinīn. Wa innā ilā rabbinā lamunqalibūn). Then he would say: “O Allah, I ask You in this journey of mine from the righteousness and piety and actions that which you are pleased with. O Allah, ease for us the path, and make near for us the distance of the land. O Allah, You are the companion in the journey, and the caretaker for the family. O Allah, accompany us in our journey, and take care of our families (Allāhumma innī as’aluka fī safarī hādhā minal-birri wat-taqwā, wa minal-`amali mā tarḍā. Allāhumma hawwin `alainal-masīra, waṭwi `annā bu`dal-arḍ. Allāhumma antaṣ-ṣāḥibu fis safari wal-khalīfatu fil-ahli. Allāhumma aṣḥabnā fī safarinā wakhlufnā fī ahlinā).” And when he would return to his family, he would say: “(We are) Returning, if Allah wills, repenting, worshipping, and to our Lord directing the praise (Ā’ibūna in shā’ Allāh, tā’ibūna `ābidūna lirabbinā hāmidūn).”
Hadith 3465
´Jabir narrated that :` The Prophet (ﷺ) said: “Whoever says: ‘Glory is to Allah, the Magnificent, and with His Praise (Subḥān Allāhil-Aẓīm, wa biḥamdih)’ a date-palm tree is planted for him in Paradise.”
Hadith 3491
´`Abdullah bin Yazid Al-Khatmi Al-Ansari narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to say in his supplication:` “O Allah grant me Your love and the love of those whose love will benefit me with You. O Allah, whatever you have provided me of that which I love, then make it strength for me for that which You love. O Allah, and what you have kept from me of that which I love, then make it for me a period of rest in that which You love. (Allāhummarzuqnī ḥubbuka, wa ḥubba man yanfa`unī ḥubbuhū `indak. Allāhumma mā razaqtanī mimmā uḥibbu faj`alhu quwwatan lī fīmā tuḥibb. Allāhumma wa mā zawaita `annī mimmā uḥibbu faj`alhu farāghan lī fīmā tuḥibb). “
Hadith 3511

حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ
ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ
عُمَرَ بْنِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أُمِّهِ
أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ
أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " إِذَا أَصَابَ أَحَدَكُمْ مُصِيبَةٌ فَلْيَقُلْ : إِنَّا لِلَّهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ سورة البقرة آية 156 اللَّهُمَّ عِنْدَكَ احْتَسَبْتُ مُصِيبَتِي فَأْجُرْنِي فِيهَا وَأَبْدِلْنِي مِنْهَا خَيْرًا " ، فَلَمَّا احْتُضِرَ أَبُو سَلَمَةَ ، قَالَ : اللَّهُمَّ اخْلُفْ فِي أَهْلِي خَيْرًا مِنِّي ، فَلَمَّا قُبِضَ ، قَالَتْ أُمُّ سَلَمَةَ : إِنَّا لِلَّهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ سورة البقرة آية 156 عِنْدَ اللَّهِ احْتَسَبْتُ مُصِيبَتِي فَأْجُرْنِي فِيهَا . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ ، وَرُوِيَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثُ مِنْ غَيْرِ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَأَبُو سَلَمَةَ اسْمُهُ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَسَدِ .
´Umar bin Abu Salamah narrated from his mother, Umm Salamah, that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` “When a calamity strikes one of you, then let him say: ‘Indeed, to Allah we belong and to Him we shall return. O Allah, I seek reward with You for my affliction, so reward me for it, and replace it for me with something better (Innā lillāhi wa innā ilaihi rāji`ūn, Allāhumma `indaka aḥtasibu muṣībatī fa’jurnī fīhā wa abdilnī minhā khair).’” When the time of death was near Abu Salamah, he said: ‘O Allah, replace me for my wife, with better than me.” So when he died, Umm Salamah said: “Indeed, to Allah we belong and to Him we shall return. I seek reward with Allah for my affliction, so reward me for it.”
Hadith 3525
´Anas narrated that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:` “Be constant with: ‘O Possessor of Majesty and Honor (Yā Dhal-Jalāli wal-Ikrām).’”
Hadith 3566
´Ali bin Abi Talib narrated:` that the Prophet (ﷺ) used to say in his Witr: “O Allah, I seek refuge in your pardon from Your Punishment, and I seek refuge in You from You, I am not capable of extolling You as You have extolled Yourself (Allāhumma innī a`ūdhu bi-riḍāka min sakhaṭika, wa a`ūdhu bi-mu`āfātika min `uqūbatika, wa a`ūdhu bika minka, lā uḥsī thanā’an `alaika, anta kamā athnaita `alā nafsik).”
Hadith 3852
حَدَّثَنَا
ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ، حَدَّثَنَا
بِشْرُ بْنُ السَّرِيِّ، عَنْ
حَمَّادِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ
أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ
جَابِرٍ، قَالَ : " اسْتَغْفَرَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَيْلَةَ الْبَعِيرِ خَمْسًا وَعِشْرِينَ مَرَّةً " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ غَرِيبٌ ، وَمَعْنَى قَوْلِهِ : لَيْلَةَ الْبَعِيرِ مَا رُوِيَ عَنْ جَابِرٍ مِنْ غَيْرِ وَجْهٍ أَنَّهُ كَانَ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي سَفَرٍ , فَبَاعَ بَعِيرَهُ مِنَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , وَاشْتَرَطَ ظَهْرَهُ إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ ، يَقُولُ جَابِرٌ : لَيْلَةَ بِعْتُ مِنَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْبَعِيرَ اسْتَغْفَرَ لِي خَمْسًا وَعِشْرِينَ مَرَّةً ، وَكَانَ جَابِرٌ قَدْ قُتِلَ أَبُوهُ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ حَرَامٍ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ وَتَرَكَ بَنَاتٍ ، فَكَانَ جَابِرٌ يَعُولُهُنَّ وَيُنْفِقُ عَلَيْهِنَّ وَكَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَبَرُّ جَابِرًا , وَيَرْحَمُهُ لِسَبَبِ ذَلِكَ . هَكَذَا رُوِيَ فِي حَدِيثٍ عَنْ جَابِرٍ نَحْوَ هَذَا .
´Narrated Jabir:` "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) supplicated for forgiveness for me on the Night of the Camel, twenty-five times."
