Hadith 116
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ ، أَخْبَرَنِي حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ جُدْعَانَ ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ ، عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ ، قَالَ : أَقْبَلْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي حَجَّتِهِ الَّتِي حَجَّ ، فَنَزَلَ فِي بَعْضِ الطَّرِيقِ فَأَمَرَ الصَّلَاةَ جَامِعَةً ، فَأَخَذَ بِيَدِ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، فَقَالَ : " أَلَسْتُ أَوْلَى بِالْمُؤْمِنِينَ مِنْ أَنْفُسِهِمْ ؟ " قَالُوا : بَلَى ، قَالَ : " أَلَسْتُ أَوْلَى بِكُلِّ مُؤْمِنٍ مِنْ نَفْسِهِ ؟ " قَالُوا : بَلَى ، قَالَ : " فَهَذَا وَلِيُّ مَنْ أَنَا مَوْلَاهُ ، اللَّهُمَّ وَالِ مَنْ وَالَاهُ ، اللَّهُمَّ عَادِ مَنْ عَادَاهُ " .
´It was narrated that Bara' bin 'Azib said:` "We returned with the Messenger of Allah from his Hajj that he had performed, and we stopped at some point on the road. He commanded that prayer should be performed in congregation, then he took the hand of 'Ali and said: 'Am I not dearer to the believers than their own selves?' They said: 'Yes indeed.' He said: 'Am I not dearer to every believer than his own self?' They said: 'Yes indeed.' He said: 'This man is the friend of those whose master I am.' O Allah, take as friends those who take him as a friend, and take as enemies those who take him as an enemy.'"
Hadith 151
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَقَدْ أُوذِيتُ فِي اللَّهِ ، وَمَا يُؤْذَى أَحَدٌ ، وَلَقَدْ أُخِفْتُ فِي اللَّهِ ، وَمَا يُخَافُ أَحَدٌ ، وَلَقَدْ أَتَتْ عَلَيَّ ثَالِثَةٌ ، وَمَا لِي وَلِبِلَالٍ طَعَامٌ يَأْكُلُهُ ذُو كَبِدٍ إِلَّا مَا وَارَى إِبِطُ بِلَالٍ " .
´It was narrated that Anas bin Malik said:` "The Messenger of Allah said: 'I have been tortured for the sake of Allah as no one else has, and I have suffered fear for the sake of Allah as no one else has. I have spent three days when Bilal and I had no food that any living being could eat but that which could be concealed in the armpit of Bilal.'"
Hadith 180
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، أَنْبَأَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ يَعْلَى بْنِ عَطَاءٍ ، عَنْ وَكِيعِ بْنِ حُدُسٍ ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ أَبِي رَزِينٍ ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَكُلُّنَا يَرَى للَّهَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ؟ وَمَا آيَةُ ذَلِكَ فِي خَلْقِهِ ؟ قَالَ : " يَا أَبَا رَزِينٍ أَلَيْسَ كُلُّكُمْ يَرَى الْقَمَرَ مُخْلِيًا بِهِ " ؟ قَالَ : قُلْتُ : بَلَى ، قَالَ : " فَاللَّهُ أَعْظَمُ وَذَلِكَ آيَتُهُ فِي خَلْقِهِ " .
´Waki' bin Hudus narrated that his paternal uncle Abu Razin said:` "I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, will we see Allah on the Day of Resurrection? And what is the sign of that in His creation?' He said: 'O Abu Razin, do each of you not see the moon individually?' I said: 'Of course.' He said: 'Allah is Greater, and that is His sign in His creation.'"
Hadith 181
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، أَنْبَأَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ يَعْلَى بْنِ عَطَاءٍ ، عَنْ وَكِيعِ بْنِ حُدُسٍ ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ أَبِي رَزِينٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " ضَحِكَ رَبُّنَا مِنْ قُنُوطِ عِبَادِهِ وَقُرْبِ غِيَرِهِ " ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَوَ يَضْحَكُ الرَّبُّ ؟ ، قَالَ : " نَعَمْ " قُلْتُ : لَنْ نَعْدِمَ مِنْ رَبٍّ يَضْحَكُ خَيْرًا .
´Waki' bin Hudus narrated that his paternal uncle Abu Razin said:` "The Messenger of Allah said: 'Allah laughs at the despair of His slaves although He soon changes it.' I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, does the Lord laugh?' He said: 'Yes.' I said: 'We shall never be deprived of good by a Lord Who laughs.'"
Hadith 182
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، أَنْبَأَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ يَعْلَى بْنِ عَطَاءٍ ، عَنْ وَكِيعِ بْنِ حُدُسٍ ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ أَبِي رَزِينٍ ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَيْنَ كَانَ رَبُّنَا قَبْلَ أَنْ يَخْلُقَ خَلْقَهُ ؟ قَالَ : " كَانَ فِي عَمَاءٍ مَا تَحْتَهُ هَوَاءٌ ، وَمَا فَوْقَهُ هَوَاءٌ ، ثَمَّ خَلْقٌ الْعَرْشَ عَلَى الْمَاءِ " .
´Waki' bin Hudus narrated that his paternal uncle Abu Razin said:` "I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, where was our Lord before He created His creation?' He said: He was above the clouds, below which was air, and above which was air and water. Then He created His Throne above the water.'"
Hadith 187
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْقُدُّوسِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ الْبُنَانِيِّ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى ، عَنْ صُهَيْبٍ ، قَالَ : تَلَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ لِلَّذِينَ أَحْسَنُوا الْحُسْنَى وَزِيَادَةٌ سورة يونس آية 26 ، وَقَالَ : " إِذَا دَخَلَ أَهْلُ الْجَنَّةِ الْجَنَّةَ ، وَأَهْلُ النَّارِ النَّارَ ، نَادَى مُنَادٍ يَا أَهْلَ الْجَنَّةِ إِنَّ لَكُمْ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ مَوْعِدًا يُرِيدُ أَنْ يُنْجِزَكُمُوهُ ، فَيَقُولُونَ : وَمَا هُوَ أَلَمْ يُثَقِّلِ اللَّهُ مَوَازِينَنَا ، وَيُبَيِّضْ وُجُوهَنَا ، وَيُدْخِلْنَا الْجَنَّةَ ، وَيُنْجِنَا مِنَ النَّارِ ، قَالَ : " فَيَكْشِفُ الْحِجَابَ فَيَنْظُرُونَ إِلَيْهِ ، فَوَاللَّهِ مَا أَعَطَاهُمُ اللَّهُ شَيْئًا أَحَبَّ إِلَيْهِمْ مِنَ النَّظَرِ إِلَيْهِ ، وَلَا أَقَرَّ لِأَعْيُنِهِمْ " .
´It was narrated that Suhaib said:` "The Messenger of Allah recited this Verse: 'For those who have done good is the best reward and even more.' Then he said: 'When the people of Paradise enter Paradise, and the people of the Fire enter the Fire, a caller will cry out: "O people of Paradise! You have a covenant with Allah and He wants to fulfill it." They will say: "What is it?" Has Allah not made the Balance (of our good deeds) heavy, and made our faces bright, and admitted us to Paradise and saved us from Hell?" Then the Veil will be lifted and they will look upon Him, and by Allah, Allah will not give them anything that is more beloved to them or delightful, than looking upon Him.'"
Hadith 244
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ ، عَنْ شُعَيْبِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : " مَا رُئِيَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَأْكُلُ مُتَّكِئًا قَطُّ ، وَلَا يَطَأُ عَقِبَيْهِ رَجُلَانِ " .
´It was narrated from Shu'aib bin 'Abdullah bin 'Amr that his father said:` "The Messenger of Allah was never seen eating while reclining or making two men walk behind him." (Sahih) Other chains with the same meanings.
Hadith 284
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ هِشَامُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ ، عَنْ زِرِّ بْنِ حُبَيْشٍ ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ مَسْعُودٍ ، قَالَ : قِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ كَيْفَ تَعْرِفُ مَنْ لَمْ تَرَ مِنْ أُمَّتِكَ ؟ قَالَ : " غُرٌّ مُحَجَّلُونَ بُلْقٌ مِنْ آثَارِ الطُّهُورِ " .
´'Abdullah bin Mas'ud said:` "It was said: 'O Messenger of Allah, how will you recognize those whom you have not seen of your Ummah?' He said: 'From the blazes of their foreheads and feet, like horses with black and white traces (which make them distinct from others) which are the traces of ablution.'" (Hasan) Another chain with similar wording.
Hadith 294
حَدَّثَنَا سَهْلُ بْنُ أَبِي سَهْلٍ ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمَّارِ بْنِ يَاسِرٍ ، عَنْ عَمَّارِ بْنِ يَاسِرٍ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مِنَ الْفِطْرَةِ ، الْمَضْمَضَةُ ، وَالِاسْتِنْشَاقُ ، وَالسِّوَاكُ ، وَقَصُّ الشَّارِبِ ، وَتَقْلِيمُ الْأَظْفَارِ ، وَنَتْفُ الْإِبْطِ ، وَالِاسْتِحْدَادُ ، وَغَسْلُ الْبَرَاجِمِ ، وَالِانْتِضَاحُ ، وَالِاخْتِتَانُ " .
´It was narrated from 'Ammar bin Yasir that:` The Messenger of Allah said: "Part of the Fitrah is rinsing out the mouth, rinsing out the nostrils, using the tooth stick, trimming the mustache, clipping the nails, plucking the armpit hairs, shaving the pubic hairs, washing the joints, washing the private parts and circumcision.'" (Da'if) Another chain with similar wording.
Hadith 324
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ الْحَذَّاءِ ، عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ أَبِي الصَّلْتِ ، عَنْ عِرَاكِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : ذُكِرَ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَوْمٌ يَكْرَهُونَ أَنْ يَسْتَقْبِلُوا بِفُرُوجِهِمُ الْقِبْلَةَ ، فَقَالَ : " أُرَاهُمْ قَدْ فَعَلُوهَا اسْتَقْبِلُوا بِمَقْعَدَتِي الْقِبْلَةَ " .
´It was narrated that 'Aishah said:` "Mention was made in the presence of the Messenger of Allah of some people who did not like to face towards the Qiblah with their private parts. He said: 'I think that they do that. Turn my seat (in the toilet) to face the Qiblah.'" (Da'if) Another chain with similar wording.
Hadith 518
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ الْمُنْذِرِ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا كَانَ الْمَاءُ قُلَّتَيْنِ ، أَوْ ثَلَاثًا لَمْ يُنَجِّسْهُ شَيْءٌ " .
´It was narrated from 'Ubaidullah bin 'Abdullah bin 'Umar that his father said:` "The Messenger of Allah said: 'If the water is the amount of two or three Qullah, nothing can make it impure (Najis).'" (Sahih) Another chain with similar wording.
Hadith 590
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاق بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ ، أَنْبَأَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي رَافِعٍ ، عَنْ عَمَّتِهِ سَلْمَى ، عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ : أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " طَافَ عَلَى نِسَائِهِ فِي لَيْلَةٍ ، وَكَانَ يَغْتَسِلُ عِنْدَ كُلِّ وَاحِدَةٍ مِنْهُنَّ ، فَقِيلَ لَهُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَلَا تَجْعَلُهُ غُسْلًا وَاحِدًا ؟ فَقَالَ : " هُوَ أَزْكَى وَأَطْيَبُ وَأَطْهَرُ " .
´It was narrated from Abu Rafi' that:` The Prophet went around to all of his wives in one night, and he had a bath after each one of them. It was said to him: "O Messenger of Allah, why not make it one bath?" He said: "This is purer, better and cleaner."
Hadith 599
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ ، عَنْ زَاذَانَ ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مَنْ تَرَكَ مَوْضِعَ شَعَرَةٍ مِنْ جَسَدِهِ مِنْ جَنَابَةٍ لَمْ يَغْسِلْهَا فُعِلَ بِهِ كَذَا وَكَذَا مِنَ النَّارِ " ، قَالَ عَلِيٌّ : فَمِنْ ثَمَّ عَادَيْتُ شَعَرِي وَكَانَ يَجُزُّهُ .
´It was narrated from 'Ali bin Abu Talib that:` The Prophet said: "Whoever leaves an area the size of a hair on his body and does not cleanse it from sexual impurity, such and such will be done to him in the Fire." 'Ali said: "Because of that I am hostile towards my hair," and he used to shave his head.
Hadith 639
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ حَكِيمٍ الْأَثْرَمِ ، عَنْ أَبِي تَمِيمَةَ الْهُجَيْمِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ أَتَى حَائِضًا ، أَوِ امْرَأَةً فِي دُبُرِهَا ، أَوْ كَاهِنًا فَصَدَّقَهُ بِمَا يَقُولُ ، فَقَدْ كَفَرَ بِمَا أُنْزِلَ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ " .
´It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said:` "The Messenger of Allah said: 'Whoever has intercourse with a menstruating woman, or with a woman in her rear, or who goes to a fortuneteller and believes what he says, he has disbelieved in that which was revealed to Muhammad.'"
Hadith 644
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، أَنَّ الْيَهُودَ كَانُوا لَا يَجْلِسُونَ مَعَ الْحَائِضِ فِي بَيْتٍ ، وَلَا يَأْكُلُونَ ، وَلَا يَشْرَبُونَ ، قَالَ : فَذُكِرَ ذَلِكَ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ وَيَسْأَلُونَكَ عَنِ الْمَحِيضِ قُلْ هُوَ أَذًى فَاعْتَزِلُوا النِّسَاءَ فِي الْمَحِيضِ سورة البقرة آية 222 ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " اصْنَعُوا كُلَّ شَيْءٍ إِلَّا الْجِمَاعَ " .
´It was narrated from Anas that:` The Jews would not sit with a menstruating woman in a house, nor eat with her, nor drink with her. That was mentioned to the Messenger of Allah, then Allah revealed the words: "They ask you concerning menstruation. Say: that is a harmful thing, therefore keep away from women during menses." The Messenger of Allah said: "Do everything except sexual intercourse."
Hadith 655
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ ، وَأَبُو النُّعْمَانِ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنْ صَفِيَّةَ بِنْتِ الْحَارِثِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " لَا يَقْبَلُ اللَّهُ صَلَاةَ حَائِضٍ إِلَّا بِخِمَارٍ " .
´It was narrated from 'Aishah that:` The Prophet said: "Allah does not accept the prayer of a woman who menstruates (i.e., an adult woman) except with a head cover."
Hadith 658
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : " رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَامِلَ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَلَى عَاتِقِهِ وَلُعَابُهُ يَسِيلُ عَلَيْهِ " .
´It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said:` "I saw the Prophet carrying Hasan bin 'Ali on his shoulder, and his saliva was dripping down on him."
Hadith 739
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ الْجُمَحِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ ، قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ حَتَّى يَتَبَاهَى النَّاسُ فِي الْمَسَاجِدِ " .
´It was narrated that Anas bin Malik said:` "The Messenger of Allah said: 'The Hour will not begin until the people compete in (building) mosques.'"
Hadith 742
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي التَّيَّاحِ الضُّبَعِيِّ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : كَانَ مَوْضِعُ مَسْجِدِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِبَنِي النَّجَّارِ ، وَكَانَ فِيهِ نَخْلٌ وَمَقَابِرُ لِلْمُشْرِكِينَ ، فَقَالَ لَهُمُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " ثَامِنُونِي بِهِ " ، قَالُوا : لَا نَأْخُذُ لَهُ ثَمَنًا أَبَدًا ، قَالَ : فَكَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَبْنِيهِ وَهُمْ يُنَاوِلُونَهُ ، وَالنَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " أَلَا إِنَّ الْعَيْشَ عَيْشُ الْآخِرَهِ ، فَاغْفِرْ لِلْأَنْصَارِ وَالْمُهَاجِرَهِ " ، قَالَ : وَكَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي قَبْلَ أَنْ يَبْنِيَ الْمَسْجِدَ حَيْثُ أَدْرَكَتْهُ الصَّلَاةُ .
´It was narrated that Anas bin Malik said:` "The location where the Prophet's Mosque was built belonged to Banu Najjar. In it there were date-palm trees and graves of the idolaters. The Prophet said to them: 'Name its price.' They said: 'We will never take any money for it.' The Prophet built it and they were assisting him, and the Prophet was saying: 'The real life is the life of the Hereafter so forgive the Ansar and the Muhajirah.' Before the mosque was built, the Prophet would perform prayer wherever he was when the time for prayer came."
Hadith 745
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ يَحْيَى ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، وَحَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ يَحْيَى ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، قَالَ ، قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " الْأَرْضُ كُلُّهَا مَسْجِدٌ ، إِلَّا الْمَقْبَرَةَ وَالْحَمَّامَ " .
´It was narrated that Abu Sa'eed Khudri said:` "The Messenger of Allah said: 'All the earth is a mosque, except for graveyards and Hammam.'"
Hadith 755
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ الْفَضْلِ الْمُقْرِي ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، " أَنَّ رَجُلًا مِنْ الْأَنْصَارِ أَرْسَلَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ تَعَالَ فَخُطَّ لِي مَسْجِدًا فِي دَارِي أُصَلِّي فِيهِ ، وَذَلِكَ بَعْدَ مَا عَمِيَ ، فَجَاءَ فَفَعَلَ " .
´It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that:` A man among the Ansar sent word to the Messenger of Allah saying: "Come and designate a place in my house where I can perform prayer,' that was after he had become blind. So he went and did that.
Hadith 801
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الدَّارِمِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا النَّضْرُ بْنُ شُمَيْلٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، قَالَ : صَلَّيْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْمَغْرِبَ ، فَرَجَعَ مَنْ رَجَعَ ، وَعَقَّبَ مَنْ عَقَّبَ ، فَجَاءَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مُسْرِعًا قَدْ حَفَزَهُ النَّفَسُ ، وَقَدْ حَسَرَ عَنْ رُكْبَتَيْهِ ، فَقَالَ : " أَبْشِرُوا ، هَذَا رَبُّكُمْ قَدْ فَتَحَ بَابًا مِنْ أَبْوَابِ السَّمَاءِ يُبَاهِي بِكُمُ الْمَلَائِكَةَ ، يَقُولُ : " انْظُرُوا إِلَى عِبَادِي قَدْ قَضَوْا فَرِيضَةً ، وَهُمْ يَنْتَظِرُونَ أُخْرَى " .
´It was narrated that 'Abdullah bin 'Amr said:` "We performed the Maghrib (prayer) with the Messenger of Allah, then those who went back went back, and those who stayed, stayed. Then the Messenger of Allah came back in a hurry, out of breath, with his garment pulled up to his knees, and said: 'Be of good cheer, for your Lord has opened one of the gates of heaven and is boasting of you before the angels, saying: "Look at My slaves; they have fulfilled one obligatory duty and are awaiting another."
Hadith 856
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاق بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَارِثِ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُهَيْلُ بْنُ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مَا حَسَدَتْكُمْ الْيَهُودُ عَلَى شَيْءٍ ، مَا حَسَدَتْكُمْ عَلَى السَّلَامِ وَالتَّأْمِينِ " .
´It was narrated from ‘Aishah that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:` “The Jews do not envy you for anything more than they envy you for the Salam and (saying) ‘Amin’.”
Hadith 1024
حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ أَخْزَمَ ، وَعَبْدَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " بَزَقَ فِي ثَوْبِهِ وَهُوَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ ، ثُمَّ دَلَكَهُ " .
It was narrated from Anas bin Malik that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) spat on his garment while he was performing prayer, then he rubbed it.
Hadith 1179
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عُمَرَ حَفْصُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزُ بْنُ أَسَدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، حَدَّثَنِي هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْفَزَارِيُّ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ هِشَامٍ الْمَخْزُومِيِّ ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " كَانَ يَقُولُ فِي آخِرِ وِتْرِهِ : اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِرِضَاكَ مِنْ سُخْطِكَ ، وَأَعُوذُ بِمُعَافَاتِكَ مِنْ عُقُوبَتِكَ ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْكَ لَا أُحْصِي ثَنَاءً عَلَيْكَ أَنْتَ كَمَا أَثْنَيْتَ عَلَى نَفْسِكَ " .
´It was narrated from ‘Ali bin Abi Talib that the Prophet (ﷺ) used to say at the end of Witr:` “Allahumma inni a’udhu biridaka min sakhatika, wa a’udhu bimu’afatika min ‘uqubatika, wa a’udhu bika minka, la uhsi thana’an ‘alaika, Anta kama athnaita ‘ala nafsika (O Allah, I seek refuge in Your pleasure from Your wrath, and I seek refuge in Your forgiveness from your punishment, and I seek refuge in You from You. I cannot enumerate Your praise, You are as You have praised Yourself).”
Hadith 1415
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ خَلَّادٍ الْبَاهِلِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزُ بْنُ أَسَدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ عَمَّارِ بْنِ أَبِي عَمَّارٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، وَعَنْ ثَابِتٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " كَانَ يَخْطُبُ إِلَى جِذْعٍ ، فَلَمَّا اتَّخَذَ الْمِنْبَرَ ذَهَبَ إِلَى الْمِنْبَرِ ، فَحَنَّ الْجِذْعُ ، فَأَتَاهُ فَاحْتَضَنَهُ ، فَسَكَنَ ، فَقَالَ : لَوْ لَمْ أَحْتَضِنْهُ لَحَنَّ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ " .
´It was narrated from Anas that the Prophet (ﷺ) used to deliver the sermon leaning on a tree trunk. When he started to use the pulpit, he went to the pulpit, and the trunk made a sorrowful sound. So he came to it and embraced it, and it calmed down. He said:` “If I had not embraced it, it would have continued to grieve until the Day of Resurrection.”
Hadith 1426
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الدَّارِمِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ أَبِي هِنْدٍ ، عَنْ زُرَارَةَ بْنِ أَوْفَى ، عَنْ تَمِيمٍ الدَّارِيِّ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ . ح وحَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الصَّبَّاحِ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، أَنْبَأَنَا حُمَيْدٌ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، وَدَاوُدُ بْنُ أَبِي هِنْدٍ ، عَنْ زُرَارَةَ بْنِ أَوْفَى ، عَنْ تَمِيمٍ الدَّارِيِّ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " أَوَّلُ مَا يُحَاسَبُ بِهِ الْعَبْدُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ صَلَاتُهُ ، فَإِنْ أَكْمَلَهَا كُتِبَتْ لَهُ نَافِلَةً ، فَإِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ أَكْمَلَهَا قَالَ اللَّهُ سُبْحَانَهُ لِمَلَائِكَتِهِ : انْظُرُوا هَلْ تَجِدُونَ لِعَبْدِي مِنْ تَطَوُّعٍ ، فَأَكْمِلُوا بِهَا مَا ضَيَّعَ مِنْ فَرِيضَتِهِ ، ثُمَّ تُؤْخَذُ الْأَعْمَالُ عَلَى حَسَبِ ذَلِكَ " .
´It was narrated from Tamim Dari that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:` “The first thing for which a person will be brought to account on the Day of Resurrection will be his prayer. If it is complete, then the voluntary (prayers) will also be recorded for him (as an increase). If it is not complete then Allah will say to His angels: ‘Look and see whether you find any voluntary prayers for My slave, and take them to make up what is lacking from his obligatory prayers.’ Then all his deeds will be reckoned in like manner.”
Hadith 1770
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ ، عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ ، عَنْ أُبَيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " كَانَ يَعْتَكِفُ الْعَشْرَ الْأَوَاخِرَ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ ، فَسَافَرَ عَامًا ، فَلَمَّا كَانَ مِنَ الْعَامِ الْمُقْبِلِ اعْتَكَفَ عِشْرِينَ يَوْمًا " .
´It was narrated from Ubayy bin Ka’b that:` The Prophet (ﷺ) used to spend the last ten days of Ramadan in I’tikaf. One year he was traveling, so the following year he spent twenty days in I’tikaf.
Hadith 1852
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ جُدْعَانَ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " لَوْ أَمَرْتُ أَحَدًا أَنْ يَسْجُدَ لِأَحَدٍ ، لَأَمَرْتُ الْمَرْأَةَ أَنْ تَسْجُدَ لِزَوْجِهَا ، وَلَوْ أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَمَرَ امْرَأَتَهُ أَنْ تَنْقُلَ مِنْ جَبَلٍ أَحْمَرَ إِلَى جَبَلٍ أَسْوَدَ ، وَمِنْ جَبَلٍ أَسْوَدَ إِلَى جَبَلٍ أَحْمَرَ ، لَكَانَ نَوْلُهَا أَنْ تَفْعَلَ " .
´It was narrated from Aishah:` that the messenger of Allah of said: “If I were to command anyone to prostrate to anyone else, I would have commanded women to prostrate to their husbands. If a man were to command his wife to move (something) from a red mountain to a black mountain, and from a black mountain to a red mountain, her duty is to obey to him.”
Hadith 1897
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْحُسَيْنِ اسْمُهُ خَالِدٌ الْمَدَنِيُّ ، قَالَ : كُنَّا بِالْمَدِينَةِ يَوْمَ عَاشُورَاءَ ، وَالْجَوَارِي يَضْرِبْنَ بِالدُّفِّ ، وَيَتَغَنَّيْنَ فَدَخَلْنَا عَلَى الرُّبَيِّعِ بِنْتِ مُعَوِّذٍ ، فَذَكَرْنَا ذَلِكَ لَهَا ، فَقَالَتْ : دَخَلَ عَلَيَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَبِيحَةَ عُرْسِي ، وَعِنْدِي جَارِيَتَانِ تَتَغَنَّيَانِ ، وَتَنْدُبَانِ آبَائِي الَّذِينَ قُتِلُوا يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ ، وَتَقُولَانِ فِيمَا تَقُولَانِ : وَفِينَا نَبِيٌّ يَعْلَمُ مَا فِي غَدٍ ، فَقَالَ : " أَمَّا هَذَا فَلَا تَقُولُوهُ مَا يَعْلَمُ مَا فِي غَدٍ إِلَّا اللَّهُ " .
´It was narrated that Abu Husain, whose name was Khalid Al-Madani, said:` “We were in Al-Madinah on the Say of 'Ashura and the girls were beating the Daff and singing. We entered upon Rubai' bint Mu'awwidh and mentioned that to her. She said: 'The Messenger of Allah entered upon me on the morning of my wedding, and there were two girls with me who were singing and mentioning the qualities of my forefathers who were killed on the Day of Badr. One of the things they were saying was: “Among us there is a Prophet who knows what will happen tomorrow.” He said: “Do not say this, for no one knows what will happen tomorrow except Allah.”
Hadith 1942
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الصَّمَدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْوَارِثِ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَمْرَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ : " كَانَ فِيمَا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ ، ثُمَّ سَقَطَ لَا يُحَرِّمُ إِلَّا عَشْرُ رَضَعَاتٍ ، أَوْ خَمْسٌ مَعْلُومَاتٌ " .
´It was narrated that 'Aishah said:` “Once of the things that Allah revealed in the the Qur'an and then abrogated was that nothing makes marriage prohibited except ten breastfeedings or five well-known (breastfeedings).”
Hadith 1971
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، أَنْبَأَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّه صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقْسِمُ بَيْنَ نِسَائِهِ ، فَيَعْدِلُ ثُمَّ يَقُولُ : " اللَّهُمَّ هَذَا فِعْلِي فِيمَا أَمْلِكُ ، فَلَا تَلُمْنِي فِيمَا تَمْلِكُ وَلَا أَمْلِكُ " .
´It was narrated that 'Aishah said:` "The Messenger of Allah used to divide his time equally among his wives, then he would say 'O Allah, this is what I am doing with regard to that which is within my control, so do not hold me accountable for that which is under Your control and is beyond my control.'"
Hadith 1973
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ ، عَنْ سُمَيَّةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَجَدَ عَلَى صَفِيَّةَ بِنْتِ حُيَيٍّ فِي شَيْءٍ ، فَقَالَتْ صَفِيَّةُ : يَا عَائِشَةُ ، هَلْ لَكِ أَنْ تُرْضِي رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِّي وَلَكِ يَوْمِي ؟ ، قَالَتْ : نَعَمْ ، فَأَخَذَتْ خِمَارًا لَهَا مَصْبُوغًا بِزَعْفَرَانٍ ، فَرَشَّتْهُ بِالْمَاءِ لِيَفُوحَ رِيحُهُ ، ثُمَّ قَعَدَتْ إِلَى جَنْبِ رَسُولُ اللَّه صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " يَا عَائِشَةُ إِلَيْكِ عَنِّي إِنَّهُ لَيْسَ يَوْمَكِ " ، فَقَالَتْ : ذَلِكَ فَضْلُ اللَّهِ يُؤْتِيهِ مَنْ يَشَاءُ ، فَأَخْبَرَتْهُ بِالْأَمْرِ فَرَضِيَ عَنْهَا .
´It was narrated from 'Aishah:` that the Messenger of Allah became angry with Safiyyah bint Huyai for something, and Safiyyah said: "O 'Aishah, can you make the Messenger of Allah be pleased with me, and I will give you my day?" She said: "Yes." So she took a headcover of hers that was dyed with saffron and sprinkled it with water so that its fragrance would become stronger, then she sat beside the Messenger of Allah. The Prophet said: "O 'Aishah, go away, because it is not your day!" She said: "That is the Grace of Allah which He bestows on whom He pleases." Then she told him about that matter and he was pleased with her.
Hadith 2041
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ . ح وحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ خَالِدِ بْنِ خِدَاشٍ ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ حَمَّادٍ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ الْأَسْوَدِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " رُفِعَ الْقَلَمُ عَنْ ثَلَاثَةٍ : عَنِ النَّائِمِ حَتَّى يَسْتَيْقِظَ ، وَعَنِ الصَّغِيرِ حَتَّى يَكْبَرَ ، وَعَنِ الْمَجْنُونِ حَتَّى يَعْقِلَ ، أَوْ يُفِيقَ " ، قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ فِي حَدِيثِهِ : وَعَنِ الْمُبْتَلَى حَتَّى يَبْرَأَ .
´It was narrated from Aishah that:` the Messenger of Allah said. "The Pen has been lifted from three : from the sleeping person until he awakens, from the minor until he grows up, and from the insane person until he comes to his senses."In his narration, (one of the narrators Abu Bakr (Ibn Abu Shaibah) said: "And from the afflicted person, unit he recovers" (1)
Hadith 2150
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْخُزَاعِيُّ ، وَالْحَجَّاجُ ، وَالْهَيْثَمُ بْنُ جَمِيلٍ ، قَالُوا : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " كَانَ زَكَرِيَّا نَجَّارًا " .
´It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` "Zakariyya was a carpenter."
Hadith 2200
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ، حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، وَحُمَيْدٌ وَثَابِتٌ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : غَلَا السِّعْرُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالُوا : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، قَدْ غَلَا السِّعْرُ فَسَعِّرْ لَنَا ، فَقَالَ : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ الْمُسَعِّرُ الْقَابِضُ الْبَاسِطُ الرَّازِقُ ، إِنِّي لَأَرْجُو ، أَنْ أَلْقَى رَبِّي وَلَيْسَ أَحَدٌ يَطْلُبُنِي بِمَظْلَمَةٍ فِي دَمٍ وَلَا مَالٍ " .
´It was nanated that Anas bin Malik said:` "Prices rose during the time of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), and they said: 'O Messenger of Allah, prices have risen, so fix the prices for us.' He said: 'Indeed Allah is the Musa'ir, [1] the Qabid, (Restrainer) the Basit,[2] the Razzaq (Provider). And I am hopeful that I meet my Lord and none of you are seeking (recompense from) me for an injustice involving blood or wealth."
Hadith 2217
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ، حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ الثَّمَرَةِ حَتَّى تَزْهُوَ ، وَعَنْ بَيْعِ الْعِنَبِ حَتَّى يَسْوَدَّ ، وَعَنْ بَيْعِ الْحَبِّ حَتَّى يَشْتَدَّ " .
´It was narrated from Anas bin Malik that :` the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) forbade selling fruits until they have changed the color, and selling grapes until they have turned black, and selling grains until they have hardened.
Hadith 2249
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، عَنْ حَمَّادٍ ، أَنْبَأَنَا الْحَجَّاجُ ، عَنْ الْحَكَمِ ، عَنْ مَيْمُونِ بْنِ أَبِي شَبِيبٍ ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ ، قَالَ : وَهَبَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ غُلَامَيْنِ أَخَوَيْنِ فَبِعْتُ أَحَدَهُمَا ، فَقَالَ : " مَا فَعَلَ الْغُلَامَانِ ؟ " ، قُلْتُ : بِعْتُ أَحَدَهُمَا ، قَالَ : " رُدَّهُ " .
´It was narrated that 'Ali said:` "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) gave me two slaves who were brothers, and I sold one of them. He said: 'What happened with the two slaves?' I said: 'I sold one of them.' He said: 'Take him back."'
Hadith 2272
حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْجَهْضَمِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ ، ح وحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عُمَرَ حَفْصُ بْنُ عُمَرَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، " أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ اشْتَرَى صَفِيَّةَ بِسَبْعَةِ أَرْؤُسٍ " ، قَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ : مِنْ دِحْيَةَ الْكَلْبِيِّ .
´It was narrated from Anas that :` the Prophet (ﷺ) bought Safiyyah for seven slaves. (Sahih) (One of the narrators) 'Abdur-Rahman said: "From Dihyah Kalbi.'
Hadith 2273
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي الصَّلْتِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَتَيْتُ لَيْلَةَ أُسْرِيَ بِي عَلَى قَوْمٍ بُطُونُهُمْ كَالْبُيُوتِ فِيهَا الْحَيَّاتُ تُرَى مِنْ خَارِجِ بُطُونِهِمْ ، فَقُلْتُ : مَنْ هَؤُلَاءِ يَا جِبْرَائِيلُ ؟ ، قَالَ : " هَؤُلَاءِ أَكَلَةُ الرِّبَا " .
´It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` ' "'On the night in which I was taken on the Night Journey (Al-Isra'), I came to people whose stomachs were like houses, in which there were snakes that could be seen from outside their stomachs. I said: 'Who are these, O Jibra’il?’ He said: 'They are the ones who consumed usury."'
