Hadith 48
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمُنْذِرِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فُضَيْلٍ . ح وحَدَّثَنَا حَوْثَرَةُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ دِينَارٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي غَالِبٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَا ضَلَّ قَوْمٌ بَعْدَ هُدًى كَانُوا عَلَيْهِ إِلَّا أُوتُوا الْجَدَلَ " ، ثُمَّ تَلَا هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ بَلْ هُمْ قَوْمٌ خَصِمُونَ سورة الزخرف آية 58 الْآيَةَ .
´It was narrated that Abu Umamah said:` "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'No people go astray after having followed right guidance, but those who indulge in disputes.' Then he recited the Verse: "Nay! But they are a quarrelsome people.'"
Hadith 176
حَدَّثَنَا سَهْلُ بْنُ أَبِي سَهْلٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي غَالِبٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ ، يَقُولُ : " شَرُّ قَتْلَى قُتِلُوا تَحْتَ أَدِيمِ السَّمَاءِ ، وَخَيْرُ قَتْلَى مَنْ قَتَلُوا كِلَابُ أَهْلِ النَّارِ ، قَدْ كَانَ هَؤُلَاءِ مُسْلِمِينَ فَصَارُوا كُفَّارًا " ، قُلْتُ يَا أَبَا أُمَامَةَ : هَذَا شَيْءٌ تَقُولُهُ ، قَالَ : بَلْ سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ .
´Abu Ghalib narrated that Abu Umamah said:` "(The Khawarij) are the worst of the slain who are killed under heaven, and the best of the slain are those who were killed by them. Those (Khawarij) are the dogs of Hell. Those people were Muslims but they became disbelievers." I said: "O Abu Umamah, is that your opinion?" He said: "Rather I heard it from the Messenger of Allah."
Hadith 1494
حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْجَهْضَمِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ ، عَنْ هَمَّامٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي غَالِبٍ ، قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ صَلَّى عَلَى جِنَازَةِ رَجُلٍ ، فَقَامَ حِيَالَ رَأْسِهِ ، فَجِيءَ بِجِنَازَةٍ أُخْرَى بِامْرَأَةٍ ، فَقَالُوا : يَا أَبَا حَمْزَةَ ، صَلِّ عَلَيْهَا ، فَقَامَ حِيَالَ وَسَطِ السَّرِيرِ ، فَقَالَ الْعَلَاءُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ : يَا أَبَا حَمْزَةَ ، هَكَذَا رَأَيْتَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " قَامَ مِنَ الْجِنَازَةِ مُقَامَكَ مِنَ الرَّجُلِ ، وَقَامَ مِنَ الْمَرْأَةِ مُقَامَكَ مِنَ الْمَرْأَةِ ؟ ، قَالَ : نَعَمْ " ، فَأَقْبَلَ عَلَيْنَا ، فَقَالَ : احْفَظُوا .
´It was narrated that Abu Ghalib said:` “I saw Anas bin Malik offering the funeral prayer for a man, and he stood level with his head. Then another funeral was brought, that of a woman, and they said: ‘O Abu Hamzah! Offer the funeral prayer for her.’ So he stood level with the middle of the bed (the body was upon). ‘Ala’ bin Ziyad said to him: ‘O Abu Hamzah! Is this how you saw the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) standing in relation to the body of a man and a woman as you have stood?’ He said: ‘Yes.’ Then he turned to us and said: ‘Remember this.’”
Hadith 2487
حَدَّثَنَا سَهْلُ بْنُ أَبِي الصُّغْدِيِّ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَنْصُورُ بْنُ صُقَيْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ أَبِي غَالِبٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " حَرِيمُ الْبِئْرِ مَدُّ رِشَائِهَا " .
´It was narrated from Abu Sa'eed Al-Khudri that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` “The land around a well (that is considered to be part of it) is the length of the well rope (in all directions).”
Hadith 4012
حَدَّثَنَا رَاشِدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الرَّمْلِيُّ , حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ , حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ , عَنْ أَبِي غَالِبٍ , عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ , قَالَ : عَرَضَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَجُلٌ عِنْدَ الْجَمْرَةِ الْأُولَى فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ , أَيُّ الْجِهَادِ أَفْضَلُ ؟ فَسَكَتَ عَنْهُ , فَلَمَّا رَأَى الْجَمْرَةَ الثَّانِيَةَ سَأَلَهُ فَسَكَتَ عَنْهُ , فَلَمَّا رَمَى جَمْرَةَ الْعَقَبَةِ وَضَعَ رِجْلَهُ فِي الْغَرْزِ لِيَرْكَبَ , قَالَ : " أَيْنَ السَّائِلُ ؟ " , قَالَ : أَنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ , قَالَ : " كَلِمَةُ حَقٍّ عِنْدَ ذِي سُلْطَانٍ جَائِرٍ " .
´It was narrated that Abu Umamah said:` “A man came to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) at the first pillar and said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, which Jihad is best?’ but he kept quiet. When he saw the second Pillar, he asked again, and he kept quiet. When he stoned ‘Aqabah Pillar, he placed his foot in the stirrup, to ride, and said: ‘Where is the one who was asking?’ (The man) said: ‘Here I am, O Messenger of Allah.’ He said: ‘A word of truth spoken to an unjust ruler.’”
