Hadith 3989
حَدَّثَنَا حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى , حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ , أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ , عَنْ عِيسَى بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ , عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ , عَنْ أَبِيهِ , عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ , أَنَّهُ خَرَجَ يَوْمًا إِلَى مَسْجِدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , فَوَجَدَ مُعَاذَ بْنَ جَبَلٍ قَاعِدًا عِنْدَ قَبْرِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَبْكِي , فَقَالَ : مَا يُبْكِيكَ ؟ قَالَ : يُبْكِينِي شَيْءٌ سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , يَقُولُ : " إِنَّ يَسِيرَ الرِّيَاءِ شِرْكٌ , وَإِنَّ مَنْ عَادَى لِلَّهِ وَلِيًّا فَقَدْ بَارَزَ اللَّهَ بِالْمُحَارَبَةِ , إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ الْأَبْرَارَ الْأَتْقِيَاءَ الْأَخْفِيَاءَ , الَّذِينَ إِذَا غَابُوا لَمْ يُفْتَقَدُوا , وَإِنْ حَضَرُوا لَمْ يُدْعَوْا , وَلَمْ يُعْرَفُوا قُلُوبُهُمْ مَصَابِيحُ الْهُدَى , يَخْرُجُونَ مِنْ كُلِّ غَبْرَاءَ مُظْلِمَةٍ " .
´It was narrated from ‘Umar bin Khattab that he went out one day to the mosque of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), and he found Mu’adh bin Jabal sitting by the grave of the Prophet (ﷺ), weeping. He said:` “Why are you weeping?” He said: “I am weeping because of something that I heard from the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ). I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: ‘A little showing off is polytheism and whoever shows enmity towards a friend of Allah has declared war on Allah. Allah loves those who se righteousness and piety are hidden, those who, if they are absent, are not missed, and if they are present, they are not invited or acknowledged. Their hearts are lamps of guidance and they get out of every trial and difficulty.’”
Hadith 4026
حَدَّثَنَا حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى , وَيُونُسُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى , قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ , أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ , عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ , عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ , وَسَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ , عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " نَحْنُ أَحَقُّ بِالشَّكِّ مِنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ إِذْ قَالَ : رَبِّ أَرِنِي كَيْفَ تُحْيِي الْمَوْتَى قَالَ أَوَلَمْ تُؤْمِنْ قَالَ بَلَى وَلَكِنْ لِيَطْمَئِنَّ قَلْبِي سورة البقرة آية 260 , وَيَرْحَمُ اللَّهُ لُوطًا , لَقَدْ كَانَ يَأْوِي إِلَى رُكْنٍ شَدِيدٍ , وَلَوْ لَبِثْتُ فِي السِّجْنِ طُولَ مَا لَبِثَ يُوسُفُ لَأَجَبْتُ الدَّاعِيَ " .
´It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` “We are more likely to express doubt than Ibrahim when he said: “My Lord! Show me how You give life to the dead.’ He (Allah) said: ‘Do you not believe?’ He (Ibrahim) said: ‘Yes (I believe), but to be stronger in Faith.’[2:260] And may Allah have mercy on Lut. He wished to have a powerful support. And if i were to stay in prison as long as Yusuf stayed, I would have accepted the offer.’”
Hadith 4056
حَدَّثَنَا حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى , حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ , أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ , وَابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ , عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ , عَنْ سِنَانِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ , عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ , عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , قَالَ : " بَادِرُوا بِالْأَعْمَالِ سِتًّا : طُلُوعَ الشَّمْسِ مِنْ مَغْرِبِهَا , وَالدُّخَانَ , وَدَابَّةَ الْأَرْضِ , وَالدَّجَّالَ , وَخُوَيْصَّةَ أَحَدِكُمْ , وَأَمْرَ الْعَامَّةِ " .
´It was narrated from Anas bin Malik that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` "Hasten to do good deeds (before) six things (happen): The rising of the sun from the west (place of its setting), the smoke, the beast of the earth, Dajjal (False Christ), that which will happen to each of you (death); and that which will happen to all people (the Day of Resurrection)."
Hadith 4088
حَدَّثَنَا حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الْمِصْرِيُّ , وَإِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْجَوْهَرِيُّ , قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو صَالِحٍ عَبْدُ الْغَفَّارِ بْنُ دَاوُدَ الْحَرَّانِيُّ , حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ , عَنْ أَبِي زُرْعَةَ عَمْرِو بْنِ جَابِرٍ الْحَضْرَمِيِّ , عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنَ جَزْءٍ الزَّبِيدِيِّ , قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " يَخْرُجُ نَاسٌ مِنَ الْمَشْرِقِ , فَيُوَطِّئُونَ لِلْمَهْدِيِّ " يَعْنِي : سُلْطَانَهُ .
´It was narrated from 'Abdullah bin Harith bin Jaz' Az-Zabidi that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` "People will come from the east, paving the way for Mahdi," meaning, for his rule.
Hadith 4164
حَدَّثَنَا حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى , حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ , أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ , عَنْ ابْنِ هُبَيْرَةَ , عَنْ أَبِي تَمِيمٍ الْجَيْشَانِيِّ , قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ عُمَرَ , يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , يَقُولُ : " لَوْ أَنَّكُمْ تَوَكَّلْتُمْ عَلَى اللَّهِ حَقَّ تَوَكُّلِهِ , لَرَزَقَكُمْ كَمَا يَرْزُقُ الطَّيْرَ , تَغْدُو خِمَاصًا وَتَرُوحُ بِطَانًا " .
´‘Umar said:` “I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: ‘If you were to rely upon Allah with the reliance He is due, you would be given provision like the birds: They go out hungry in the morning and come back with full bellies in the evening.”
Hadith 4176
حَدَّثَنَا حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى , حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ , أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ , أَنَّ دَرَّاجًا حَدَّثَهُ , عَنْ أَبِي الْهَيْثَمِ , عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ , عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , قَالَ : " مَنْ يَتَوَاضَعُ لِلَّهِ سُبْحَانَهُ دَرَجَةً , يَرْفَعُهُ اللَّهُ بِهِ دَرَجَةً , وَمَنْ يَتَكَبَّرُ عَلَى اللَّهِ دَرَجَةً , يَضَعُهُ اللَّهُ بِهِ دَرَجَةً , حَتَّى يَجْعَلَهُ فِي أَسْفَلِ السَّافِلِينَ " .
´It was narrated from Abu Sa’eed that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` “Whoever humbles himself one degree for the sake of Allah, Allah will raise him in status one degree, and whoever behaves arrogantly towards Allah one degree, Allah will lower him in status one degree, until He makes him among the lowest of the low.”
Hadith 4186
حَدَّثَنَا حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى , حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ , حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ , عَنْ أَبِي مَرْحُومٍ , عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ مُعَاذِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ , عَنْ أَبِيهِ , أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , قَالَ : " مَنْ كَظَمَ غَيْظًا وَهُوَ قَادِرٌ عَلَى أَنْ يُنْفِذَهُ , دَعَاهُ اللَّهُ عَلَى رُءُوسِ الْخَلَائِقِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ , حَتَّى يُخَيِّرَهُ فِي أَيِّ الْحُورِ شَاءَ " .
´It was narrated from Sahl bin Mu’adh bin Anas, from his father, that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` “Whoever restrains his anger when he is able to implement it, Allah will call him before all of creation on the Day of Resurrection, and will give him his choice of any houri that he wants.”
Hadith 4214
حَدَّثَنَا حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى , حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ , أَنْبَأَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ , عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ , عَنْ سِنَانِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ , عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ , قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ أَوْحَى إِلَيَّ : أَنْ تَوَاضَعُوا , وَلَا يَبْغِي بَعْضُكُمْ عَلَى بَعْضٍ " .
´It was narrated from Anas bin Malik that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` “Allah has revealed to me that you should be humble towards one another and should not wrong one another.”
