Hadith 234
Muhammad ibn Hatim ibn Maymun narrated to me, Abd al-Rahman ibn Mahdi narrated to us, Mu'awiyah ibn Salih narrated to us, from Rabi'ah, meaning ibn Yazid, from Abu Idris al-Khawlani, from Uqbah ibn Amir. And Abu Uthman narrated to me, from Jubayr ibn Nufayr, from Uqbah ibn Amir, who said: We were responsible for herding the camels, and my turn came, so I brought them back in the evening, and I found the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, standing and speaking to the people. I caught from his words: "There is no Muslim who performs ablution and perfects his ablution, then stands and prays two rak'ahs, turning to them with his heart and face, except that Paradise becomes obligatory for him." He said: So I said, "How excellent is this!" Then someone in front of me said, "The one before it is even better." So I looked, and it was Umar. He said: "I saw you just now." He said: "There is none among you who performs ablution and completes it, then says: I bear witness that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the servant of Allah and His Messenger, except that the eight gates of Paradise will be opened for him, and he may enter from whichever of them he wishes."
Hadith 234
Uqba bin 'Amir al-Juhani reported: Verily the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said and then narrated (the hadith) like one (mentioned above) except (this) that he said: He who performed ablution and said: I testify that there is no god but Allah, the One, there is no associate with Him and I testify that Muhammad is His servant and His Messenger.
Hadith 692
Jubair bin Nufair reported: I went along with Shurahbil bin al-Simt to a village which was situated at a distance of seventeen or eighteen miles, and he said only two rak'ahs of prayer. I said to him (about it) and he said: I saw 'Umar observing two rak'ahs at Dhu'l-Hulaifa and I (too) said to him (about it) and he said: I am doing the same as I saw the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) doing. (This hadith has been transmitted by Shu'bah with the same chain of narrators and it is narrated from Simt, and the name of Shurahbil has not been mentioned, and he said that he had gone to a place called Dumin, situated at a distance of eighteen miles from Hims.)
Hadith 805
An-Nawwas bin Sam'an said he heard the Apostle (ﷺ) say: On the Day of Resurrection the Qur'an and those who acted according to it will be brought with Surah al-Baqarah and AI 'Imran preceding them. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) likened them to three things, which I did not forget afterwards. He (the Holy Prophet) likened them to two clouds, or two black canopies with light between them, or like two flocks of birds in ranks pleading for one who recited them.

Jubair bin Nufair says: I heard it from ' Auf bin Malik (RA) that the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) said prayer on the dead body, and I remembered his prayer:" O Allah! forgive him, have mercy upon him, give him peace and absolve him. Receive him with honour and make his grave spacious; wash him with water, snow and hail. Cleanse him from faults as Thou wouldst cleanse a white garment from impurity. Requite him with an abode more excellent than his abode, with a family better than his family, and with a mate better than his mate. Admit him to the Garden, and protect him from the torment of the grave and the torment of the Fire." ('Auf bin Malik) said: I earnestly desired that I were this dead body.
Hadith 963
'Anas bin Malik (RA) said: I heard the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) say (while offering prayer on a dead body): O Allah! forgive him, have mercy upon him. Give him peace and absolve him. Receive him with honour and make his grave spacious. Wash him with water, snow and hail, cleanse him from faults as is cleaned a white garment from impurity. Requite him with an abode more excellent than his abode, with a family better than his family, and with a mate better than his mate, and save him from the trial of the grave and torment of Hell. ' Auf bin Malik (RA) said: I earnestly desired that I were the dead person to receive the prayer of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) as this dead body had (received).
Hadith 1441
Abu Darda' (RA) related from the Prophet (ﷺ) of Allah (ﷺ) that he came upon a woman who was in the advanced stage of pregnancy at the door of a tent. He (the Holy Prophet) said: Perhaps he (the man accompanying her) intends to cohabit with her. They said: Yes. Thereupon Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: I was about to curse him with such a curse as may go along with him to his grave. How can he own him (the child to be born) and that is not lawful for him, and how can he take him as a servant for that is not lawful for him?

Auf bin Malik (RA) has narrated that a man from the Himyar tribe killed an enemy and wanted to take the booty. Khalid bin Walid, who was the commander over them, forbade, him. 'Auf b Malik (the narrator) came to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and informed him (to this effect). The latter asked Khalid: What prevented you from giving the booty to him? Khalid said: I thought it was too much. He (the Holy Prophet) said: Hand it over to him. Now when Khalid by Auf, the latter pulled him by his cloak and said (by way of chafing him): Hasn't the same thing happened what I reported to you from the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) (may peace he upon him)? When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) heard it, he was angry (and said): Khalid, don't give him, Khalid, don't give him. Are you going to desert the commanders appointed by me? Your similitude and theirs is like a person who took camels and sheep for grazing. He grazed them and when it was time for them to have a drink, he brought them to a pool. So they drank from it, drinking away its clear water and leaving the turbid water below. So the clear water (i. e. the best reward) is for you and the turbid water (i e. blame) is for them.
Hadith 1753
It has been narrated on the authority of Auf bin Malik al-Ashja (RA) 'i who said: I joined the expedition that marched under Zaid bin Haritha to Muta, and I received reinformcement from the Yemen. (After this introduction), the narrator narrated the tradition that had gone before except that in his version Auf was reported to have said (to Khalid): Khalid, didn't you know that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) (way peace be upon him) had decided In favour of giving the booty (sized from an enemy) to one who killed him? He (Khalid) said: Yes. but I thought it was too much.
Hadith 1931
Abu Tha'laba reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) having said this: If you shoot with your arrow and (the game) goes out of your sight and you find it (later on), then eat that if it has not gone rotten.
Hadith 1931
Abu Tha'laba reported Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) as saying about one who comes three days later on the game he has shot: Eat it, provided it has not gone rotten.
Hadith 1931
This hadith has been transmitted on the authority of Abu Tha'laba al- Khushani with a slight variation of (words): He (the Holy Prophet) said in regard to the game killed by (a trained) dog: Eat after three days provided it has not gone rotten.
Hadith 1975
Thauban reported that Allah's Messenger (way peace be upon him) slaughtered his sacrificial animal and then said: Thauban, make his meat usable (for journey), and I continuously served him that until he arrived in Madinah.
Hadith 1975
Thauban, the freed slave of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) , reported: Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said to me on the occasion of Hajjat-al-Wada' (the Farewell Pilgrimage): Make the flesh usable. So I made it usable (for him) and he ate it constantly until he reached Madinah.
Hadith 2077

' Auf bin Malik Ashja (RA) 'i reported: We practised incantation in the pre-Islamic days and we said: Allah's Messenger. what is your opinion about it? He said: Let me know your incantation and said: There is no harm in the incantation which does not smack of polytheism.
Hadith 2553
Nawwas bin Sim'an al-Ansiri reported: I asked Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) about virtue and vice. He said: Virtue is a kind disposition and vice is what rankles in your heart and that you disapprove that people should come to know of it.
Hadith 2553
Nawwis bin Sim'in reported: I stayed with Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) for one year. What obstructed me to migrate was (nothing) but (persistent) inquiries from him (about Islam). (It was a common observation) that when anyone of us migrated (to Madinah) he ceased to ask (too many questions) from Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) . So I asked him about virtue and vice. Thereupon Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: Virtue is a kind disposition and vice is what rankles in your mind and that you disapprove of its being known to the people.

Abu Khaythamah Zuhayr ibn Harb narrated to us, Al-Walid ibn Muslim narrated to us, he said: 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Yazid ibn Jabir narrated to me, Yahya ibn Jabir al-Ta'i, the judge of Hims, narrated to me, 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Jubayr narrated to me, from his father Jubayr ibn Nufayr al-Hadrami, that he heard al-Nawwas ibn Sam'an al-Kilabi.
And Muhammad ibn Mihran al-Razi narrated to me (and the wording is his), Al-Walid ibn Muslim narrated to us, 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Yazid ibn Jabir narrated to us, from Yahya ibn Jabir al-Ta'i, from 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Jubayr ibn Nufayr, from his father Jubayr ibn Nufayr, from al-Nawwas ibn Sam'an, who said:
The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, mentioned the Dajjal one morning, and he lowered and raised (his voice) about him until we thought he was in a cluster of the palm trees. When we went to him, he noticed that in us and said: "What is the matter with you?" We said: O Messenger of Allah, you mentioned the Dajjal this morning, and you lowered and raised (your voice) about him until we thought he was in a cluster of the palm trees. He said: "Other than the Dajjal, I fear more for you. If he comes out while I am among you, then I will be his adversary on your behalf. But if he comes out and I am not among you, then each person must defend himself, and Allah is my successor over every Muslim. He is a young man with curly hair, his eye is obliterated, as if I liken him to 'Abd al-'Uzza ibn Qatan. Whoever among you encounters him, let him recite over him the opening verses of Surat al-Kahf. He will emerge from a place between Sham and Iraq, and will wreak havoc to the right and to the left. O servants of Allah, remain steadfast."
We said: O Messenger of Allah, how long will he remain on earth? He said: "Forty days; a day like a year, a day like a month, a day like a week, and the rest of his days are like your days." We said: O Messenger of Allah, that day which is like a year, will the prayers of one day suffice for us in it? He said: "No, estimate its measure." We said: O Messenger of Allah, how fast will he travel on earth? He said: "Like rain driven by the wind. He will come to a people and call them, and they will believe in him and respond to him. He will command the sky and it will rain, and the earth and it will bring forth vegetation. Their livestock will return to them in the evening with their humps higher than ever, their udders full, and their flanks stretched. Then he will come to another people and call them, but they will reject him, so he will turn away from them, and they will become destitute, with nothing left of their wealth. He will pass by a ruined land and say to it: 'Bring forth your treasures,' and its treasures will follow him like swarms of bees. Then he will call a young man, full of youth, and strike him with a sword, cutting him in two pieces, then call him, and he will come forward with his face shining and laughing. While he is like that, Allah will send the Messiah, son of Maryam, and he will descend at the white minaret in the east of Damascus, wearing two garments dyed with saffron, placing his hands on the wings of two angels. When he lowers his head, drops fall, and when he raises it, pearls like beads fall from it. No disbeliever who smells his breath will survive, and his breath reaches as far as his sight. He will pursue him until he catches him at the gate of Ludd, and he will kill him. Then 'Isa ibn Maryam will come to a people whom Allah has protected from him, and he will wipe their faces and inform them of their ranks in Paradise. While he is like that, Allah will reveal to 'Isa: 'I have brought forth servants of Mine whom no one can fight. Take My servants to the mountain.' Then Allah will send Gog and Magog, and they will descend from every slope. The first of them will pass by Lake Tiberias and drink what is in it, and the last of them will pass by and say: 'There was once water here.' The Prophet of Allah, 'Isa, and his companions will be besieged until the head of a bull will be more precious to one of them than a hundred dinars to one of you today. The Prophet of Allah, 'Isa, and his companions will supplicate, and Allah will send upon them (Gog and Magog) worms in their necks, and they will die as one soul. Then the Prophet of Allah, 'Isa, and his companions will descend to the earth and will not find a handspan of land except that it is filled with their stench and filth. The Prophet of Allah, 'Isa, and his companions will supplicate to Allah, and Allah will send birds with necks like the necks of camels, and they will carry them away and throw them wherever Allah wills. Then Allah will send rain which no house of clay or hair will be spared from, and it will wash the earth until it leaves it like a mirror. Then it will be said to the earth: 'Bring forth your fruits and restore your blessings.' On that day, a group will eat from a pomegranate and take shelter under its skin. The milk will be blessed so much that the milch camel will suffice a large group of people, the milch cow will suffice a tribe of people, and the milch sheep will suffice a clan of people. While they are like that, Allah will send a pleasant wind, which will take them under their armpits and seize the soul of every believer and every Muslim. Only the worst of people will remain, who will copulate like donkeys, and upon them the Hour will be established."
