Hadith 561
حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى ، عَنْ كَعْبِ بْنِ عُجْرَةَ ، عَنْ بِلَالٍ " أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " مَسَحَ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ وَالْخِمَارِ " .
´It was narrated from Bilal that:` The Messenger of Allah wiped over his leather socks and his head cover (i.e., over the Imamah).
Hadith 715
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْأَسَدِيُّ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْرَائِيلَ ، عَنْ الْحَكَمِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى ، عَنْ بِلَالٍ ، قَالَ : " أَمَرَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ أُثَوِّبَ فِي الْفَجْرِ ، وَنَهَانِي أَنْ أُثَوِّبَ فِي الْعِشَاءِ " .
´It was narrated that Bilal said:` "The Messenger of Allah commanded me (with Tathwib) in the Adhan for Fajr, and he forbade me to do so in the Adhan for 'Isha'."
Hadith 716
حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ رَافِعٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ ، عَنْ بِلَالٍ ، أَنَّهُ أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُؤْذِنُهُ بِصَلَاةِ الْفَجْرِ ، فَقِيلَ : هُوَ نَائِمٌ ، فَقَالَ : " الصَّلَاةُ خَيْرٌ مِنَ النَّوْمِ ، الصَّلَاةُ خَيْرٌ مِنَ النَّوْمِ " ، فَأُقِرَّتْ فِي تَأْذِينِ الْفَجْرِ ، فَثَبَتَ الْأَمْرُ عَلَى ذَلِكَ .
´It was narrated that Bilal came to the Prophet to call him for the Fajr prayer, and was told:` "He is sleeping." He said: "As-salatu khairum minan-nawm, As-salatu khairum minan-nawm (The prayer is better than sleep, the prayer is better than sleep). These words were approved of in the Adhan for the Fajr, and that is how it remained.
Hadith 3024
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، وَعَمْرُو بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي رَوَّادٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ الْحِمْصِيِّ ، عَنْ بِلَالِ بْنِ رَبَاحٍ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَهُ : " غَدَاةَ جَمْعٍ يَا بِلَالُ أَسْكِتِ النَّاسَ أَوْ أَنْصِتِ النَّاسَ " ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَطَوَّلَ عَلَيْكُمْ فِي جَمْعِكُمْ هَذَا ، فَوَهَبَ مُسِيئَكُمْ لِمُحْسِنِكُمْ ، وَأَعْطَى مُحْسِنَكُمْ مَا سَأَلَ ادْفَعُوا بِاسْمِ اللَّهِ " .
´It was narrated from Bilal bin Rabah that the Prophet (ﷺ) said to him, on the morning of Jama’:` “O Bilal, calm the people down,” or “make them be quiet.” Then he said: “Allah has been very gracious to you in this Jam’ of yours. He has forgiven the wrongdoers among you because of the righteous among you, and He has given the righteous among you whatever they ask. Move on in the Name of Allah.”
