Hadith 810
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ . ح وحَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ الضَّرِيرُ ، حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْمَفَضَّلِ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمُ بْنُ كُلَيْبٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ وَائِلِ بْنِ حُجْرٍ ، قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " يُصَلِّي فَأَخَذَ شِمَالَهُ بِيَمِينِهِ " .
´It was narrated that Wa’il bin Hujr said:` “I saw the Prophet (ﷺ) performing prayer, and he took hold of his left hand with his right.”
Hadith 867
حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ الضَّرِيرُ ، حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْمُفَضَّلِ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمُ بْنُ كُلَيْبٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ وَائِلِ بْنِ حُجْرٍ ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ : " َأَنْظُرَنَّ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَيْفَ يُصَلِّي ؟ فَقَامَ ، فَاسْتَقْبَلَ الْقِبْلَةَ ، فَرَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ حَتَّى حَاذَتَا أُذُنَيْهِ ، فَلَمَّا رَكَعَ رَفَعَهُمَا مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ ، فَلَمَّا رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ مِنَ الرُّكُوعِ رَفَعَهُمَا مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ " .
´It was narrated that Wa’il bin Hujr said:` “I said: ‘I will look at the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and see how he performs the prayer.’ He stood up and faced the Qiblah, and raised his hands until they were parallel to his ears. When he bowed, he raised them likewise, and when he raised his head from Ruku’, he raised them likewise.”
Hadith 1033
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاق بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ حَبِيبٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْمُفَضَّلِ ، عَنْ غَالِبٍ الْقَطَّانِ ، عَنْ بَكْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : " كُنَّا نُصَلِّي مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي شِدَّةِ الْحَرِّ ، فَإِذَا لَمْ يَقْدِرْ أَحَدُنَا أَنْ يُمَكِّنَ جَبْهَتَهُ ، بَسَطَ ثَوْبَهُ فَسَجَدَ عَلَيْهِ ".
´It was narrated that Anas bin Malik said:` “We used to perform prayer with the Prophet (ﷺ) when it was very hot. When one of us could not place his forehead firmly on the ground, he would spread his garment and prostrate on it.”
Hadith 1103
حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلَانَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَنْبَأَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ . ح وحَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ خَلَفٍ أَبُو سَلَمَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْمُفَضَّلِ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ :" يَخْطُبُ خُطْبَتَيْنِ ، يَجْلِسُ بَيْنَهُمَا جَلْسَةً زَادَ بِشْرٌ وَهُوَ قَائِمٌ " .
´It was narrated from Ibn ‘Umar that the Prophet (ﷺ) used to deliver two sermons, and he would sit briefly between the two. (One of the narrators) Bishr added:` “While he was standing.”
Hadith 1535
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ خَلَفٍ ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْمُفَضَّلِ . ح وحَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ رَافِعٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ جَمِيعًا ، عَنْ يُونُسَ ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمُهَلَّبِ ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ الْحُصَيْنِ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " إِنَّ أَخَاكُمُ النَّجَاشِيَّ قَدْ مَاتَ فَصَلُّوا عَلَيْهِ " ، قَالَ : فَقَامَ فَصَلَّيْنَا خَلْفَهُ ، وَإِنِّي لَفِي الصَّفِّ الثَّانِي ، فَصَلَّى عَلَيْهِ .
´It was narrated from ‘Imran bin Husain:` “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: ‘Your brother Najashi has died, so offer the funeral prayer for him.” Then he stood and we prayed behind him. I was in the second row and two rows prayed for him.”
Hadith 1995
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ خَلَفٍ أَبُو سَلَمَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْمُفَضَّلِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ إِسْحَاق ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " الشُّؤْمُ فِي ثَلَاثٍ فِي الْفَرَسِ ، وَالْمَرْأَةِ ، وَالدَّارِ " ، قَالَ الزُّهْرِيُّ : فَحَدَّثَنِي أَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زَمْعَةَ ، أَنَّ جَدَّتَهُ زَيْنَبَ حَدَّثَتْهُ ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ ، أَنَّهَا كَانَتْ تَعُدُّ هَؤُلَاءِ الثَّلَاثَةَ ، وَتَزِيدُ مَعَهُنَّ السَّيْف .
´It was narrated from Salim, from his father, that:` the Messenger of Allah said: "Omens are only to be found in three things: a horse, a woman and a house." (Sahih)(One of the narrators) Az-Zuhri said: " Abu 'Ubaidah bin 'Abdullah bin Zam'ah said that his mother, Zainab, narrated to him, from Umm Salamah, that she used to list these three, and add to them "the sword."
Hadith 3424
حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدُ بْنُ مَسْعَدَةَ , حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْمُفَضَّلِ , حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ , عَنْ قَتَادَةَ , عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ , أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " نَهَى عَنِ الشُّرْبِ قَائِمًا " .
It was narrated from Anas that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) forbade drinking while standing up.
Hadith 4309
حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ , وَإِسْحَاق بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ حَبِيبٍ , قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْمُفَضَّلِ , حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ , عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ , عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ , قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَمَّا أَهْلُ النَّارِ الَّذِينَ هُمْ أَهْلُهَا , فأنهم لا يَمُوتُونَ فِيهَا وَلَا يَحْيَوْنَ , وَلَكِنْ نَاسٌ أَصَابَتْهُمْ نَارٌ بِذُنُوبِهِمْ أَوْ بِخَطَايَاهُمْ , فَأَمَاتَتْهُمْ إِمَاتَةً حَتَّى إِذَا كَانُوا فَحْمًا , أُذِنَ لَهُمْ فِي الشَّفَاعَةِ , فَجِيءَ بِهِمْ ضَبَائِرَ ضَبَائِرَ , فَبُثُّوا عَلَى أَنْهَارِ الْجَنَّةِ , فَقِيلَ : يَا أَهْلَ الْجَنَّةِ , أَفِيضُوا عَلَيْهِمْ فَيَنْبُتُونَ نَبَاتَ الْحِبَّةِ , تَكُونُ فِي حَمِيلِ السَّيْلِ " , قَالَ : فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْقَوْمِ : كَأَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَدْ كَانَ فِي الْبَادِيَةِ .
´It was narrated from Abu Sa’eed that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` “As for the people of Hell, who are its people (i.e., its permanent residents), they will neither die nor live therein. But there are some people who will be punished with fire because of their sins, whom it will kill, then when they have become like coal, permission will be granted for intercession for them. They will be brought, group by group, and scattered on the banks of the rivers of Paradise. It will be said: ‘O people of Paradise, pour water on them.’ Then they will grow like seeds carried by a flood (i.e., quickly).” A man among the people said: It is as if the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) has been in the desert.”
