Hadith 312
حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ كَاسِبٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْمُغِيرَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ رَجَاءٍ الْمَكِّيُّ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَجْلَانَ ، عَنِ الْقَعْقَاعِ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا اسْتَطَابَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلَا يَسْتَطِبْ بِيَمِينِهِ لِيَسْتَنْجِ بِشِمَالِهِ " .
´It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said:` "The Messenger of Allah said: 'When anyone of you cleans himself, he should not clean himself with his right hand. Let him clean himself with his left hand.'"
Hadith 313
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ ، أَنْبَأَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ ، عَنْ الْقَعْقَاعِ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّمَا أَنَا لَكُمْ مِثْلُ الْوَالِدِ لِوَلَدِهِ ، أُعَلِّمُكُمْ إِذَا أَتَيْتُمُ الْغَائِطَ فَلَا تَسْتَقْبِلُوا الْقِبْلَةَ ، وَلَا تَسْتَدْبِرُوهَا ، وَأَمَرَ بِثَلَاثَةِ أَحْجَارٍ ، وَنَهَى عَنِ الرَّوْثِ ، وَالرِّمَّةِ ، وَنَهَى أَنْ يَسْتَطِيبَ الرَّجُلُ بِيَمِينِهِ " .
´It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said:` "The Messenger of Allah said: 'I am to you like a father to his son, and I teach you. So when you go to relieve yourselves, do not face the Qiblah or turn your backs towards it.' He ordered us to use three pebbles, and he forbade us to use dung and bones, and he forbade cleaning oneself with the right hand."
Hadith 1336
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ الْجحْدَرِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ ، عَنْ الْقَعْقَاعِ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " رَحِمَ اللَّهُ رَجُلًا قَامَ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَصَلَّى ، وَأَيْقَظَ امْرَأَتَهُ فَصَلَّتْ ، فَإِنْ أَبَتْ رَشَّ فِي وَجْهِهَا الْمَاءَ ، رَحِمَ اللَّهُ امْرَأَةً قَامَتْ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَصَلَّتْ ، وَأَيْقَظَتْ زَوْجَهَا فَصَلَّى ، فَإِنْ أَبَى رَشَّتْ فِي وَجْهِهِ الْمَاءَ " .
´It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said:` “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: ‘May Allah have mercy on a man who gets up at night and prays, and wakes his wife, and she prays; and if she refuses he sprinkles water in her face. And May Allah have mercy on a woman who gets up at night and prays, and wakes her husband and he prays; and if he refuses, she sprinkles water in his face.’”
Hadith 2795
حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ آدَمَ ، وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ الْجَحْدَرِيُّ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا صَفْوَانُ بْنُ عِيسَى ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَجْلَانَ ، عَنِ الْقَعْقَاعِ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَا مِنْ مَجْرُوحٍ يُجْرَحُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ، وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَنْ يُجْرَحُ فِي سَبِيلِهِ ، إِلَّا جَاءَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَجُرْحُهُ كَهَيْئَتِهِ يَوْمَ جُرِحَ اللَّوْنُ لَوْنُ دَمٍ وَالرِّيحُ رِيحُ مِسْكٍ " .
´It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` “There is no one who is wounded in the cause of Allah – and Allah knows best of who is wounded in His cause – but he will come on the Day of Resurrection with his wounds looking as they did on the day he was wounded; their color will be the color of blood but their smell will be the fragrance of musk.”
Hadith 2802
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّوْرَقِيُّ ، وبشر بن آدم ، قَالُوا : حَدَّثَنَا صَفْوَانُ بْنُ عِيسَى ، أَنْبَأَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَجْلَانَ ، عَنْ الْقَعْقَاعِ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَا يَجِدُ الشَّهِيدُ مِنَ الْقَتْلِ إِلَّا كَمَا يَجِدُ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنَ الْقَرْصَةِ " .
´It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` “The martyr does not feel anything more when he is killed than one of you feels if he is pinched (by a bug).”
Hadith 4244
حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ , حَدَّثَنَا حَاتِمُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيل , وَالْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ , قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَجْلَانَ , عَنْ الْقَعْقَاعِ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ , عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ , عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , قَالَ : " إِنَّ الْمُؤْمِنَ إِذَا أَذْنَبَ كَانَتْ نُكْتَةٌ سَوْدَاءُ فِي قَلْبِهِ , فَإِنْ تَابَ وَنَزَعَ وَاسْتَغْفَرَ , صُقِلَ قَلْبُهُ , فَإِنْ زَادَ زَادَتْ , فَذَلِكَ الرَّانُ الَّذِي ذَكَرَهُ اللَّهُ فِي كِتَابِهِ كَلَّا بَلْ رَانَ عَلَى قُلُوبِهِمْ مَا كَانُوا يَكْسِبُونَ سورة المطففين آية 14 " .
´It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` “When the believer commits sin, a black spot appears on his heart. If he repents and gives up that sin and seeks forgiveness, his heart will be polished. But if (the sin) increases, (the black spot) increases. That is the Ran that Allah mentions in His Book: “Nay! But on their hearts is the Ran (covering of sins and evil deeds) which they used to earn.” [83:14]
