Hadith 3968
حَدَّثَنَا محُمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ أَبِى إِسْحَاق ، عَنْ أَبِى حَبِيبَةَ الطَّائِيَّ ، عَنْ أَبِى الدَّردْاءِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَثَلُ الَّذِي يَعْتِقُ عِنْدَ الْمَوْتِ كَمَثَلِ الَّذِي يُهْدِي إِذَا شبعَ " .
Narrated Abud Darda: The Prophet ﷺ said: the similitude of a man who emancipates a slave at the time of his death is like that of a man who gives a present after satisfying his appetite.
