Hadith 4
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ زَنْجَوَيْهِ الْبَغْدَادِيُّ، وَغَيْرُ وَاحِدٍ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ قَرْمٍ، عَنْ أَبِي يَحْيَى الْقَتَّاتِ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مِفْتَاحُ الْجَنَّةِ الصَّلَاةُ وَمِفْتَاحُ الصَّلَاةِ الْوُضُوءُ " .
´Jabir bin 'Abdullah, may Allah be pleased with them, narrated that :` Allah's Messenger said: "The key to Paradise is Salat, and the key to Salat is Wudu'."
Hadith 969
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ، عَنْ ثُوَيْرٍ هُوَ : ابْنُ أَبِي فَاخِتَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ : أَخَذَ عَلِيٌّ بِيَدِي ، قَالَ : انْطَلِقْ بِنَا إِلَى الْحَسَنِ نَعُودُهُ ، فَوَجَدْنَا عِنْدَهُ أَبَا مُوسَى ، فَقَالَ عَلِيٌّ رضي الله عنه : أَعَائِدًا جِئْتَ يَا أَبَا مُوسَى أَمْ زَائِرًا ، فَقَالَ : لَا بَلْ عَائِدًا . فَقَالَ عَلِيٌّ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " مَا مِنْ مُسْلِمٍ يَعُودُ مُسْلِمًا غُدْوَةً إِلَّا صَلَّى عَلَيْهِ سَبْعُونَ أَلْفَ مَلَكٍ حَتَّى يُمْسِيَ ، وَإِنْ عَادَهُ عَشِيَّةً إِلَّا صَلَّى عَلَيْهِ سَبْعُونَ أَلْفَ مَلَكٍ حَتَّى يُصْبِحَ ، وَكَانَ لَهُ خَرِيفٌ فِي الْجَنَّةِ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ ، وَقَدْ رُوِيَ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ هَذَا الْحَدِيثُ مِنْ غَيْرِ وَجْهٍ ، مِنْهُمْ مَنْ وَقَفَهُ وَلَمْ يَرْفَعْهُ ، وَأَبُو فَاخِتَةَ : اسْمُهُ سَعِيدُ بْنُ عِلَاقَةَ .
´Thuwair [and he is Ibn Abi Fakhitah] narrated that :` His father said: "Ali took me by the hand and said: 'Come with us to pay a visit to Al-Hasan.' So we found that Abu Musa was with him.' Ali - peace be upon him - said: 'O Abu Musa! Did you come to visit (the sick) or merely (stop by to) visit?' He said: 'No, to visit (the sick).' So Ali said: 'I heard the Messenger of Allah saying: "No Muslim visits (the sick) Muslims in the morning, except that sevety-thousand angels, sent Salat upon him until the evening, and he does not visit at night except that seventy thousand angels sent Salat upon him until the morning, and there will be a garden for him in Paradise."
Hadith 1193
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ الْأَسْوَدِ، عَنْ أَبِي السَّنَابِلِ بْنِ بَعْكَكٍ، قَالَ : وَضَعَتْ سُبَيْعَةُ بَعْدَ وَفَاةِ زَوْجِهَا بِثَلَاثَةٍ وَعِشْرِينَ ، أَوْ خَمْسَةٍ وَعِشْرِينَ يَوْمًا فَلَمَّا تَعَلَّتْ ، تَشَوَّفَتْ لِلنِّكَاحِ فَأُنْكِرَ عَلَيْهَا ، فَذُكِرَ ذَلِكَ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : " إِنْ تَفْعَلْ فَقَدْ حَلَّ أَجَلُهَا " .
´Al-Aswad narrated from Abu As-Sanabil bin Ba'kak who said:` "Subai'ah delivered twenty-three or twenty-five days after her husband had died. So when she was ready (finished post-natal bleeding) she adorned herself for marriage, but she was rebuked for doing that, so it was mentioned to the Prophet and he said: "If she has done that then her time has come.'"
Hadith 1241
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا شَيبَانُ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، قَالَ : انْطَلَقْتُ أَنَا وَابْنُ عُمَر، إلى أبي سعيد فحدثنا ، أن رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ سَمِعَتْهُ أُذُنَايَ هَاتَانِ ، يَقُولُ : " لَا تَبِيعُوا الذَّهَبَ بِالذَّهَبِ إِلَّا مِثْلًا بِمِثْلٍ ، وَالْفِضَّةَ بِالْفِضَّةِ إِلَّا مِثْلًا بِمِثْلٍ ، لَا يُشَفُّ بَعْضُهُ عَلَى بَعْضٍ ، وَلَا تَبِيعُوا مِنْهُ غَائِبًا بِنَاجِزٍ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : وَفِي الْبَاب ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرٍ ، وَعُمَرَ ، وَعُثْمَانَ ، وَأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، وَهِشَامِ بْنِ عَامِرٍ ، وَالْبَرَاءِ ، وَزَيْدِ بْنِ أَرْقَمَ ، وَفَضَالَةَ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ ، وَأَبِي بَكْرَةَ ، وَابْنِ عُمَرَ ، وَأَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ ، وَبِلَالٍ ، قَالَ : وَحَدِيثُ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الرِّبَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ ، وَالْعَمَلُ عَلَى هَذَا عِنْدَ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَغَيْرِهِمْ ، إِلَّا مَا رُوِيَ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ لَا يَرَى بَأْسًا أَنْ يُبَاعَ الذَّهَبُ بِالذَّهَبِ مُتَفَاضِلًا ، وَالْفِضَّةُ بِالْفِضَّةِ مُتَفَاضِلًا ، إِذَا كَانَ يَدًا بِيَدٍ ، وقَالَ : إِنَّمَا الرِّبَا فِي النَّسِيئَةِ ، وَكَذَلِكَ رُوِيَ عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِهِ شَيْءٌ مِنْ هَذَا ، وَقَدْ رُوِيَ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنَّهُ رَجَعَ عَنْ قَوْلِهِ ، حِينَ حَدَّثَهُ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيُّ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَالْقَوْلُ الْأَوَّلُ أَصَحُّ ، وَالْعَمَلُ عَلَى هَذَا عِنْدَ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَغَيْرِهِمْ ، وَهُوَ قَوْلُ : سُفْيَانَ الثَّوْرِيِّ ، وَابْنِ الْمُبَارَكِ ، وَالشَّافِعِيِّ ، وَأَحْمَدَ ، وَإِسْحَاق ، وَرُوِيَ عَنْ ابْنِ الْمُبَارَكِ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : لَيْسَ فِي الصَّرْفِ اخْتِلَافٌ .
Nafi’ says: I and Ibn Umar both went to Abu Sa’id Al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with them), and he narrated to us that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: (Both my ears heard this from him): “Sell gold for gold equally and silver for silver equally. Do not make one more or less than the other, and do not sell what is absent for what is present.” © Imam Tirmidhi says:
1- The hadith of Abu Sa’id Al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) regarding riba, which he narrated from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), is Hasan Sahih.
2- In this chapter, there are also ahadith from Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, Abu Hurairah, Hisham bin Amir, Bara’, Zayd bin Arqam, Fadala bin Ubaid, Abu Bakrah, Ibn Umar, Abu Darda, and Bilal (may Allah be pleased with them).
3- The people of knowledge among the Companions and others act upon this.
4- Except for what is narrated from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both), that he saw no harm in selling gold for gold and silver for silver with an increase or decrease, as long as the transaction is hand to hand, and he also said that riba is only in deferred sale, and something similar is narrated from some of his companions.
5- And it is also narrated from Ibn Abbas that when Abu Sa’id Al-Khudri narrated to him the hadith of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), he retracted his statement. The first opinion is more correct. The people of knowledge act upon this, and this is also the view of Sufyan Thawri, Ibn Mubarak, Shafi’i, Ahmad, and Ishaq bin Rahwayh, and Ibn Mubarak says: There is no difference except in 1.

Hadith 2217
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْبَغْدَادِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " سَتَخْرُجُ نَارٌ مِنْ حَضْرَمَوْتَ ، أَوْ مِنْ نَحْوِ بَحْرِ حَضْرَمَوْتَ قَبْلَ يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ تَحْشُرُ النَّاسَ " ، قَالُوا : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، فَمَا تَأْمُرُنَا ؟ قَالَ : عَلَيْكُمْ بِالشَّامِ " ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ بْنِ أَسِيدٍ ، وَأَنَسٍ ، وَأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، وَأَبِي ذَرٍّ ، وَهَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ صَحِيحٌ ، مِنْ حَدِيثِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ .
´Salim bin 'Abdullas [bin 'Umar] narrated from his father, that the Messenger of Allah(s.a.w) said:` "A fire is coming from Hadramawt- before the Day of Judgement- to gather the people." They said: "O Messenger of Allah! What do you order us?" He said: "Stick to Ash-Sham."
Hadith 3157
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، فِي قَوْلِهِ : وَرَفَعْنَاهُ مَكَانًا عَلِيًّا سورة مريم آية 57 قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ، أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " لَمَّا عُرِجَ بِي رَأَيْتُ إِدْرِيسَ فِي السَّمَاءِ الرَّابِعَةِ " ، قَالَ : وَفِي الْبَابِ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : وَهَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ ، وَقَدْ رَوَاهُ سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ، وَهَمَّامٌ، وَغَيْرُ وَاحِدٍ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ صَعْصَعَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَدِيثَ الْمِعْرَاجِ بِطُولِهِ وَهَذَا عِنْدَنَا مُخْتَصَرٌ مِنْ ذَاكَ .
´Narrated Shaiban:` from Qatadah, that regarding Allah's saying: And we raised him to a high station (19:57). He said: "Anas bin Malik narrated that Allah's Prophet (ﷺ) said: "When I was brought up, I saw Idris in the Fourth Heaven."
Hadith 3295
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا إسْرَائِيلُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " وَتَجْعَلُونَ رِزْقَكُمْ أَنَّكُمْ تُكَذِّبُونَ سورة الواقعة آية 82 قَالَ : شُكْرُكُمْ تَقُولُونَ مُطِرْنَا بِنَوْءِ كَذَا وَكَذَا ، وَبِنَجْمِ كَذَا وَكَذَا " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى : هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ صَحِيحٌ ، لَا نَعْرِفُهُ مَرْفُوعًا إِلَّا مِنْ حَدِيثِ إِسْرَائِيلَ ، وَرَوَاهُ سُفْيَانُ الثَّوْرِيُّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السُّلَمِيِّ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، نَحْوَهُ ، وَلَمْ يَرْفَعْهُ . حَدَّثَنَا بِذَلِكَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ .
´Abu Abdur-Rahman narrated from Ali that :` the Messenger of Allah said: And you make your provision your demise! – he said: “Your gratitude is expressed by saying: ‘We received rain because of this and that celestial position, and because of this and that star.’”
Hadith 3897
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيل، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُوسَى، وَالْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ , عَنْ إِسْرَائِيلَ، عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ، عَنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي هِشَامٍ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ زَائِدَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " لَا يُبَلِّغُنِي أَحَدٌ عَنْ أَحَدٍ شَيْئًا " . وَقَدْ رُوِيَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ شَيْئًا مِنْ هَذَا مِنْ غَيْرِ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ .
´Narrated 'Abdullah bin Mas'ud:` that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "No one should convey to me anything regarding anyone."
