Hadith 1268
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْأَزْهَرِ ، وَالْحَسَنُ بْنُ أَبِي الرَّبِيعِ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا ، وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ النُّعْمَانَ يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : " خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمًا يَسْتَسْقِي ، فَصَلَّى بِنَا رَكْعَتَيْنِ بِلَا أَذَانٍ ، وَلَا إِقَامَةٍ ، ثُمَّ خَطَبَنَا وَدَعَا اللَّهَ ، وَحَوَّلَ وَجْهَهُ نَحْوَ الْقِبْلَةِ رَافِعًا يَدَيْهِ ، ثُمَّ قَلَبَ رِدَاءَهُ ، فَجَعَلَ الْأَيْمَنَ عَلَى الْأَيْسَرِ ، وَالْأَيْسَرَ عَلَى الْأَيْمَنِ " .
´It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said:` “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) went out one day to pray for rain. He led us in praying two Rak’ah without any Adhan or Iqamah, then he addressed us and supplicated to Allah. He turned to face the Qiblah, raising his hands, then he turned his cloak around, putting its right on the left and its left on the right.”
Hadith 1866
حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ أَبِي الرَّبِيعِ ، أَنْبَأَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ الْبُنَانِيِّ ، عَنْ بَكْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْمُزَنِيِّ ، عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ ، قَالَ : أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَذَكَرْتُ لَهُ امْرَأَةً أَخْطُبُهَا ، فَقَالَ : " اذْهَبْ فَانْظُرْ إِلَيْهَا ، فَإِنَّهُ أَجْدَرُ أَنْ يُؤْدَمَ بَيْنَكُمَا " ، فَأَتَيْتُ امْرَأَةً مِنْ الْأَنْصَارِ ، فَخَطَبْتُهَا إِلَى أَبَوَيْهَا ، وَأَخْبَرْتُهُمَا بِقَوْلِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَكَأَنَّهُمَا كَرِهَا ذَلِكَ ، قَالَ : فَسَمِعَتْ ذَلِكَ الْمَرْأَةُ وَهِيَ فِي خِدْرِهَا ، فَقَالَتْ : إِنْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَمَرَكَ أَنْ تَنْظُرَ فَانْظُرْ ، وَإِلَّا فَإِنِّي أَنْشُدُكَ كَأَنَّهَا أَعْظَمَتْ ذَلِكَ ، قَالَ : فَنَظَرْتُ إِلَيْهَا ، فَتَزَوَّجْتُهَا ، فَذَكَرَ مِنْ مُوَافَقَتِهَا .
´It was narrated that:` Mughirah bin Shubah said: “I came to the Prophet and told him of a woman to whom I had to propose marriage. He said: 'Go and look at her, for that is more likely to create love between you.' So I went to a woman among the Ansar and proposed marriage through her parents. I told them what the Prophet had said, and it was as if they did not like that. Then I heard that woman, behind her curtain, say: 'If the Messenger of Allah has told you to do that, then do it, otherwise I adjure you by Allah (not to do so)'. And it was as if she regarded that as a serious matter. So I looked at her and married her.” And he mentioned how well he got along with her.
Hadith 2613
حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ أَبِي الرَّبِيعِ الْجُرْجَانِيُّ ، أَنْبَأَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَخْبَرَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ بِشْرَ بْنَ نُمَيْرٍ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ مَكْحُولًا ، يَقُولُ : إِنَّهُ سَمِعَ يَزِيدَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ صَفْوَانَ بْنَ أُمَيَّةَ ، قَالَ : كُنَّا عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَجَاءَ عَمْرُو بْنُ مُرَّةَ فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنَّ اللَّهَ قَدْ كَتَبَ عَلَيَّ الشِّقْوَةَ فَمَا أُرَانِي أُرْزَقُ إِلَّا مِنْ دُفِّي بِكَفِّي ، فَأْذَنْ لِي فِي الْغِنَاءِ فِي غَيْرِ فَاحِشَةٍ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا آذَنُ لَكَ وَلَا كَرَامَةَ وَلَا نُعْمَةَ عَيْنٍ كَذَبْتَ أَيْ عَدُوَّ اللَّهِ لَقَدْ رَزَقَكَ اللَّهُ طَيِّبًا حَلَالًا فَاخْتَرْتَ مَا حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْكَ مِنْ رِزْقِهِ مَكَانَ مَا أَحَلَّ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لَكَ مِنْ حَلَالِهِ ، وَلَوْ كُنْتُ تَقَدَّمْتُ إِلَيْكَ لَفَعَلْتُ بِكَ وَفَعَلْتُ ، قُمْ عَنِّي وَتُبْ إِلَى اللَّهِ ، أَمَا إِنَّكَ إِنْ فَعَلْتَ بَعْدَ التَّقْدِمَةِ إِلَيْكَ ضَرَبْتُكَ ضَرْبًا وَجِيعًا ، وَحَلَقْتُ رَأْسَكَ مُثْلَةً ، وَنَفَيْتُكَ مِنْ أَهْلِكَ وَأَحْلَلْتُ سَلَبَكَ نُهْبَةً لِفِتْيَانِ أَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ " فَقَامَ عَمْرٌو وَبِهِ مِنَ الشَّرِّ وَالْخِزْيِ مَا لَا يَعْلَمُهُ إِلَّا اللَّهُ . فَلَمَّا وَلَّى قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " هَؤُلَاءِ الْعُصَاةُ مَنْ مَاتَ مِنْهُمْ بِغَيْرِ تَوْبَةٍ حَشَرَهُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ كَمَا كَانَ فِي الدُّنْيَا مُخَنَّثًا عُرْيَانًا لَا يَسْتَتِرُ مِنَ النَّاسِ بِهُدْبَةٍ كُلَّمَا قَامَ صُرِعَ " .
´Safwan bin Umayyah said:` “We were with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and Amr bin Murrah came and said: 'O Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), Allah (SWT) has decreed that I be doomed, and He has not guided me to earn a living except by beating my tambourine with my hand; give me permission to sing without doing anything immoral.' The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'I will not give you permission, or honor you nor give you, what you want. You are lying, O enemy of Allah. Allah (SWT) has granted you a good, lawful provision, but you have chosen the provision that Allah (SWT) has forbidden to you instead of that which He has permitted. If I had warned you before, I would have done such and such to you. Get away from me and repent to Allah (SWT). If you do that again, after this warning, I will give you a painful beating and shave your head, to make an example of you, and I will banish you from among your people, and tell the young men of Al-Madinah to come and take your goods,'Amr stood up, suffering grief and humiliation that is known only to Allah (SWT). When he went away, the Prophet (ﷺ) said: 'Those sinners, whoever among them dies without having repented, Allah (SWT) will gather him on the Day of Resurrection just as he was in this world, effeminate and naked, with not even a piece of cloth to conceal him from the people. Every time he gets up, he will fall to the ground.'”
Hadith 4104
حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ أَبِي الرَّبِيعِ , حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ , حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ , عَنْ ثَابِتٍ , عَنْ أَنَسٍ , قَالَ : اشْتَكَى سَلْمَانُ , فَعَادَهُ سَعْدٌ فَرَآهُ يَبْكِي , فَقَالَ لَهُ سَعْدٌ : مَا يُبْكِيكَ يَا أَخِي , أَلَيْسَ قَدْ صَحِبْتَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ؟ أَلَيْسَ أَلَيْسَ , قَالَ سَلْمَانُ : مَا أَبْكِي وَاحِدَةً مِنَ اثْنَتَيْنِ , مَا أَبْكِي ضِنًّا لِلدُّنْيَا , وَلَا كَرَاهِيَةً لِلْآخِرَةِ , وَلَكِنْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَهِدَ إِلَيَّ عَهْدًا فَمَا أُرَانِي إِلَّا قَدْ تَعَدَّيْتُ , قَالَ : وَمَا عَهِدَ إِلَيْكَ ؟ قَالَ : " عَهِدَ إِلَيَّ أَنَّهُ يَكْفِي أَحَدَكُمْ مِثْلُ زَادِ الرَّاكِبِ , وَلَا أُرَانِي إِلَّا قَدْ تَعَدَّيْتُ , وَأَمَّا أَنْتَ يَا سَعْدُ , فَاتَّقِ اللَّهَ عِنْدَ حُكْمِكَ إِذَا حَكَمْتَ , وَعِنْدَ قَسْمِكَ إِذَا قَسَمْتَ , وَعِنْدَ هَمِّكَ إِذَا هَمَمْتَ " , قَالَ ثَابِتٌ : فَبَلَغَنِي أَنَّهُ مَا تَرَكَ إِلَّا بِضْعَةً وَعِشْرِينَ دِرْهَمًا , مِنْ نَفَقَةٍ كَانَتْ عِنْدَهُ .
´It was narrated from Thabit that Anas said:` “Salman felt sick and Sa’d came to visit him, and when he saw him he wept. Sa’d said to him: ‘Why are you weeping, my brother? Are you not a Companion of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)? Are you not? Are you not?’ Salman said: ‘I am only weeping for one reason: I am not weeping because of longing for this world or for dislike of the Hereafter. But the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) gave me some advice and I think that I have transgressed.’ He said: ‘What was his advice to you?’ He said: ‘He advised me that something like the provision of a rider is sufficient for anyone of you, and I think that I have transgressed that. As for you, O Sa’d, fear Allah when you pass a verdict, and when you distribute (spoils of war), and when you decide to do anything.’”
