Hadith 248
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَامِرِ بْنِ زُرَارَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْمُعَلَّى بْنُ هِلَالٍ ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيل ، قَالَ : دَخَلْنَا عَلَى الْحَسَنِ نَعُودُهُ حَتَّى مَلَأْنَا الْبَيْتَ ، فَقَبَضَ رِجْلَيْهِ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : دَخَلْنَا عَلَى أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ نَعُودُهُ حَتَّى مَلَأْنَا الْبَيْتَ ، فَقَبَضَ رِجْلَيْهِ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : دَخَلْنَا عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَتَّى مَلَأْنَا الْبَيْتَ وَهُوَ مُضْطَجِعٌ لِجَنْبِهِ ، فَلَمَّا رَآنَا قَبَضَ رِجْلَيْهِ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : " إِنَّهُ سَيَأْتِيكُمْ أَقْوَامٌ مِنْ بَعْدِي يَطْلُبُونَ الْعِلْمَ ، فَرَحِّبُوا بِهِمْ ، وَحَيُّوهُمْ ، وَعَلِّمُوهُمْ " ، قَالَ : فَأَدْرَكْنَا وَاللَّهِ أَقْوَامًا مَا رَحَّبُوا بِنَا ، وَلَا حَيَّوْنَا ، وَلَا عَلَّمُونَا إِلَّا بَعْدَ أَنْ كُنَّا نَذْهَبُ إِلَيْهِمْ فَيَجْفُونَا .
´It was narrated that Isma'il said:` "We entered upon Hasan to inquire after him until we filled the house. He tucked up his legs, the he (hasan) said: 'We entered upon Abu Hurairah to inquire after him until we filled the house. He (Abu Hurairah) tucked up his legs and said: "We entered upon the Messenger of Allah until we filled the house. He was lying on his side, but when he saw us he tucked up his legs then he said: 'After I am gone, there will come to you people seeking knowledge. Welcome them, greet them and teach them.'" (Maudu')A narrator said: By Allah! We came across some people who did not welcome us, greet us, nor teach us unil we used to go to them, then they treated us rudely.
Hadith 301
حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ إِسْحَاق ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ الْمُحَارِبِيُّ ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيل بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ ، عَنْ الْحَسَنِ ، وَقَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، قَال : كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا خَرَجَ مِنَ الْخَلَاءِ ، قَالَ : " الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَذْهَبَ عَنِّي الْأَذَى وَعَافَانِي " .
´It was narrated that Anas bin Malik said:` "Whenever the Prophet exited the toilet, he would say: 'Al-hamdu lillahilladhi adhhaba 'annial-adha wa 'afani (Praise is to Allah Who has relieved me of impurity and given me good health).'"
Hadith 1091
حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْجَهْضَمِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، أَنْبَأَنَا إِسْمَاعِيل بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ الْمَكِّيُّ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ الرَّقَاشِيِّ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مَنْ تَوَضَّأَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ فَبِهَا وَنِعْمَتْ يُجْزِئُ عَنْهُ الْفَرِيضَةُ ، وَمَنِ اغْتَسَلَ فَالْغُسْلُ أَفْضَلُ " .
´It was narrated from Anas bin Malik that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:` “Whoever performs ablution on Friday, it is well and good for him, and he has done what is obligatory for him. But whoever takes a bath, bath is better.”
Hadith 1115
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ الْمُحَارِبِيُّ ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيل بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ : أَنَّ رَجُلًا دَخَلَ الْمَسْجِدَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَخْطُبُ ، فَجَعَلَ يَتَخَطَّى النَّاسَ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ :" اجْلِسْ فَقَدْ آذَيْتَ ، وَآنَيْتَ " .
´It was narrated from Jabir bin ‘Abdullah that a man entered the mosque one Friday when the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was delivering the sermon. He started stepping over the people’s shoulders, and the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` ‘Sit down, for you have annoyed (people) and you are late.’”
Hadith 1289
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَكِيمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَحْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيل بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ الْخَوْلَانِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، قَالَ : " خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ فِطْرٍ أَوْ أَضْحَى ، فَخَطَبَ قَائِمًا ، ثُمَّ قَعَدَ قَعْدَةً ، ثُمَّ قَامَ " .
´It was narrated that Jabir said:` “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) went out on the Day of Al-Fitr or Al-Adha, and delivered a sermon standing up. Then he sat down briefly, then stood up again.”
Hadith 2486
حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ سُكَيْنٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى ، ح وحَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الصَّبَّاحِ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ عَطَاءٍ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيل الْمَكِيُّ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُغَفَّلٍ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مَنْ حَفَرَ بِئْرًا فَلَهُ أَرْبَعُونَ ذِرَاعًا عَطَنًا لِمَاشِيَتِهِ " .
´It was narrated from 'Abdullah bin Mughaffal that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:` “Whoever digs a well, is entitled to forty forearms' length surrounding it is as a resting place for his flocks.”
Hadith 2599
حَدَّثَنَا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُسْهِرٍ ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَرَفَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو حَفْصٍ الْأَبَّارُ جَمِيعًا ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيل بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ ، عَنْ طَاوُسٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " لَا تُقَامُ الْحُدُودُ فِي الْمَسَاجِدِ " .
´It was narrated from Ibn Abbas that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` “Do not carry out the legal punishment in the mosque.”
Hadith 2661
حَدَّثَنَا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُسْهِرٍ ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيل بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ ، عَنْ طَاوُسٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " لَا يُقْتَلُ بِالْوَلَدِ الْوَالِدُ " .
´It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` “A father should not be killed for his son.”
Hadith 3004
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيل ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ " أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَّى بِمِنًى يَوْمَ التَّرْوِيَةِ ، الظُّهْرَ وَالْعَصْرَ وَالْمَغْرِبَ وَالْعِشَاءَ وَالْفَجْرَ ، ثُمَّ غَدَا إِلَى عَرَفَةَ " .
It was narrated from Ibn ‘Abbas that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) prayed in Mina, on the Day of Tarwiyah (the 8th of Dhul-Hijjah), Zuhr, ‘Asr, Maghrib, ‘Isha’ and Fajr, then he went in the morning to ‘Arafat.
Hadith 3066
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، وَهَنَّادُ بْنُ السَّرِيِّ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيل بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : " لَمْ يُرَخِّصْ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِأَحَدٍ يَبِيتُ بِمَكَّةَ ، إِلَّا لِلْعَبَّاسِ مِنْ أَجْلِ السِّقَايَةِ " .
´It was narrated that Ibn ‘Abbas said:` “The Prophet (ﷺ) did not allow anyone to stay overnight in Makkah apart from ‘Abbas, for the purpose of supplying water to the pilgrims.”
Hadith 3496
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ , حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحِيمِ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ , عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيل بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ , عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ , عَنْ جَابِرٍ , قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , يَقُولُ : " عَلَيْكُمْ بِالْإِثْمِدِ عِنْدَ النَّوْمِ , فَإِنَّهُ يَجْلُو الْبَصَرَ وَيُنْبِتُ الشَّعَرَ " .
´It was narrated that Jabir said:` “I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: ‘You should use antimony when you go to sleep, for it improves the eyesight and makes the hair (eyelashes) grow.’”
