بَابُ : تَفْسِيرِ الشِّغَارِ
Chapter: Explanation Of Ash-Shighar
Hadith 3339
أَخْبَرَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مَعْنٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ . ح وَالْحَارِثُ بْنُ مِسْكِينٍ قِرَاءَةً عَلَيْهِ وَأَنَا أَسْمَعُ ، عَنْ ابْنِ الْقَاسِمِ ، قَالَ مَالِكٌ : حَدَّثَنِي نَافِعٌ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " نَهَى عَنِ الشِّغَارِ " ، وَالشِّغَارُ : أَنْ يُزَوِّجَ الرَّجُلُ الرَّجُلَ ابْنَتَهُ عَلَى أَنْ يُزَوِّجَهُ ابْنَتَهُ وَلَيْسَ بَيْنَهُمَا صَدَاقٌ .
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that the Messenger of Allah forbade Ash-Shighar. Ash-Shighar means when a man marries his daughter to another man, on the condition that that man marries his daughter to him, and no dowry is exchanged between them.
Hadith 3340
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ , وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَلَّامٍ , قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاق الْأَزْرَقُ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ ، عَنْ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : " نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الشِّغَارِ " , قَالَ عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ : وَالشِّغَارُ كَانَ الرَّجُلُ يُزَوِّجُ ابْنَتَهُ عَلَى أَنْ يُزَوِّجَهُ أُخْتَهُ .
´It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said:` "The Messenger of Allah forbade Ash-Shighar." (One of the narrators) 'Ubaidullah said: "Ash-Shighar means when a man gives his daughter in marriage on condition that (the other man) gives him his sister in marriage."
